From Novice To Pro: Getting Started With Word Processing Services In 2024
Tumblr media
All your Word documents go through word processing to give the best results possible. Today, creating and managing Word documents that can be used flexibly in terms of compatibility and processing has become crucial. And the advent of tech brings you numerous tools to do the same in no time.
However, you need to know the insights of how things work on a deeper scale to ensure you can avail all the benefits of word processing before moving forward. And this is where outsourcing word processing services will guide you to impeccable results. If you are dealing with a large volume of word documents on a daily basis in your organization then you need to utilize the best of tools to make your word processing efficient.
Journey of Getting Pro with Word Processing Services
In recent times, multiple tools are available to perform the same task and you need to find out what suits best for your business operations. Here are some of the common word processing tools to choose from:
Microsoft Word: The simplest yet best user-friendly application for any of your word processing needs. You can avail of the Office 365 subscription packages for over-the-top solutions.
Google Docs: This collaborative document helps you maintain data across multiple platforms and connect in real-time with people across the globe along with unlimited cloud storage.
Apple Pages: This is useful if you are working with a Mac OS or iOS and need to manage and integrate data across other Apple products.
LibreOffice Writer: You can try this latest writing companion that works well with Microsoft documents and offers an open-source solution to many features
Getting Started with Basics:
To start, you can avail the basic word processing solutions that work on the simplest tasks involving word documents. This includes creating and managing word formats, formatting the text and titles, and such elementary tasks. Depending on the type of document you have, the services help you to maintain your piles of Word documents and ensure all of them have the same layout that makes it easy to analyze the data within.
Along with the textual editing, you can get the elements managed with word processing services. Images, tables, shapes, and charts make your data visually understandable and easier to interpret the long columns of text. This and the hyper linking across pages can be organized better with the perfect solutions offered to you. Ask the experts to know that even such tedious tasks require skilled hands for error-free outcomes.
Move on to the Next Level
If you already have all your data in the proper format, the next challenge is to style it for its purpose. Your data serves you in multiple manners and each of those needs to be managed differently. It is the data processing experts who know how to manage each category of data distinctly and still keep them handy whenever required. You can alter the solutions in a way that caters to your particular needs without adding any extra hassle to the primary work routine.
Outsourcing word processing services offer you templates and styling options that convert your simple data into something easily readable while you are using a jumbled mess of data. While sharing data across many servers, it is important to track the changes and minimize errors or redundancy in data that can create confusion later. Real-time collaboration is a benefit of word processing only if used carefully for longer terms. Complex formatting tasks can also be handled well if you get a professional team of word processors who know their way around the simple yet puzzling operations.
Become a Pro with Expert Level Solutions
Word documents give superior-level features in the simplest forms for the user to understand how to control the data flow. Microsoft Word offers you an automotive alternative to run and record repetitive tasks for huge data stacks. LibreOffice Writer is one such spin-off to ensure ease of data compatibility and managing Macros for advanced scales.
Mail merge is another feature of word processing, which helps you manage your personalized mailing and labelling. Word gives you numerous functionalities to manage your resumes, PDFs, books, records, etc. and all you have to do is gain expertise in making complete use of them all. Get the assistance of advanced design aspects for complex graphics with the help of a dedicated team that helps boost the performance of your core resources.

rewatched madoka magica again today bc i fucking hate myself and to absolutely no one’s surprise i went through all five stages of grief in a single evening
#let’s talk about sayaka miki for a second#genuinely the fact that her whole character is centered around tragedy almost to a shakespearean extent#she’s selfless and brave and values her justice and righteousness above all. calls herself an ally of justice#in fact i think it’s rather intriguing how her whole character is centered around “justice”#her story being a more twisted retelling of the original little mermaid#how she is initially portrayed as a very heroic and confident character even before becoming a magical girl. always shielding madoka#selling her soul to heal the boy she loved out of a selfless desire to see him well again#her being absolutely distraught abt being robbed of her humanity and betrayed by kyubey#she combats this harrowing realization by immersing herself in her duties not caring that she is slowly deteriorating in the process#becoming numb with pain and fighting recklessly and psychotically trying to drown out the pain#finally coming to the sickening conclusion that humanity doesn’t deserve her saving and she succumbs to a fate of her making#last words being “i was so stupid” which trumps her previous statement of “there’s no way i’d regret this”#ALSO? the fact that her costume and weapon are symbolic of a knight. she rly portrays this hero of justice who will protect and defend ☹️#i think abt the fact that homura said that sayaka’s wish was so selfless it was only a matter of time before she died#sayaka being the example of what happens to magical girls who go through the entire cycle and eventually become witches is so sad to me#genuinely just like. sick and twisted#very very fucked up.#characters who have their own misconstrued interpretation of “justice or who are centered around justice in general.#you will always be dear to me.#sayaka reminds me a lot of akechi in some ways ngl#harboring an almost idealized vision of justice but it slowly rots and festers and corrupts their hearts the more immersed w it they become#actually losing their sanity when they fight bc of how much pain they’re in but refuse to acknowledge it until they break#refusing any help and wallowing in misery despite having ppl who love them and want to save them#last words are those expressing regret for being such a fool. for being ignoring#being used by yhe main villain as a stepping stone towards their true goal. they were merely a pawn#also doomed in every version of their reality. always doomed by the narrative no matter what choices they make#i have a type i fear#HAHAHAH ALSO the fact that they’re both dressed so regally compared to everyone else in their respective series#meant to portray them in a virtuous and princely light. only made more apparent by the sword being their weapon of choice#i’m gonna shut up now but they’re soo eerily similar its unnerving tbh 💀

Right now I'm struggling to do like...any homework. One of the homework assignment types is readings, which I use a little trick to get done. This trick addresses the facts that I have to focus to read it, and I also have to be able to tell myself that I really did read every word.
So I just open up a little Notepad instance off to the side, and rewrite the reading word for word as I read it. If I forget a sentence or otherwise lose pace, I can just look back at the Notepad instance to see where I left off. Do I internalize any of the info I read? No. I am focusing entirely on typing. In fact, after writing, I do a quick skim of the reading to actually understand it.
I periodically delete my transcription, as it's really just a focusing tool and not a note-taking method. And, after writing anywhere from 2-10 paragraphs, I can finally just focus on the reading and finish it out without doing this manual-copying thing.
If it works, it works.

#WHY ARE YOU HERE IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE IN THERAPY OH MY GOD#SCREAMING AT ME???? you signed up WILLINGLY this is not mandatory!!!!!!!!#you went through the whole intake process filled out all the paperwork and then show up and tell me you dont want to do this??#and when im like oh okay would you like to move back to the waiting list until you are ready?#you start SCREAMING AT ME???? THAT IM GIVING UP ON YOU????#look not to be a hater but therapy doesnt work if im forcing it on you#and like whatever mind games you typically play with people where youre aggressive to try and get them to prove they care#doesnt work in this setting???????????????????????? therapy is about being OPEN and HONEST#and i am taking you at your WORD so if you tell me you dont want to be here why would i call you a liar and make you do it????#like BYE THERE IS THE DOOR youre not gonna come in here and scream at ME for beliving you#this isnt court ordered!!!! your mom isnt making you do it youre in youre thirties!!!!#there are so many people who want in and youre taking up a spot that you dont even want!!!#gonna demand to speak to my supervisor when the whole office heard you screaming be FOR REAL#this is the second time this has happened in my career and im always so taken aback like this is a free service#that you sign up for completely willingly and if you dont want to do it like fine okay thats fine#but then just ghost like everyone else???#anyway im having a great morning as you can see#only other type of client that is more frustrating is the “i dont owe people anything but they owe me everything”#but at least theyre willing to talk and shift their points of view#sometimes i think some people just want validation that their world view is correct#without ever examining why they feel that way (therapy could help with that btw)#mb rants

do you think that both of you think about the world and your lives the way that you write? As in, are the inner thought styles of mike and will the same as the way you guys think about the world and have thoughts, not in subject matter obviously but in style? Like the highly detailed thinking that observes every tiny thing and notes down every aspect of each choice and action and surroundings? Or did you both adopt this as a way of characterising mike and will as teenagers?
ooh this is such an interesting ask and i have actually thought about this quite often over the last couple years, and we’ve talked about it a couple times as well!! for me, the way i write is often really similar to the way my thoughts work, mostly for larger blocks of narration where the character is just thinking or reasoning with themselves, and especially for more casual/humorous sequences as opposed to ones where i’m trying to be a bit more flowery or evocative with my word choice. it’s really easy for me to get carried away writing these bits because usually whatever is in my brain will get directly word vomited out onto the page, which often means long nonsensical thought loops and very accidentally unserious figures of speech. i do find there are certain characters that are easier for me to do this with: mike for one, obviously, but also buck in the 911 wip i was working on for a while (rip) and patrick zweig in my challengers wip (rip x2) — which im realizing as i type this is basically just a list of characters that scream adhd to me. lol.
other characters like will are not As natural for me in this specific way, but i’ve gotten comfortable enough writing him and his voice for it to happen anyway. and others (vi from my arcane wip, loki from my lokius fic) are muchhh harder to write because they don’t really feel like my inner voice nearly as much, so i have to hold myself back more and really think about whether i am writing from My head or Theirs, if that makes sense. i also get a lot of “yeah i can really hear your voice coming through in this” from my friends when i share excerpts of fics in certain povs with them, so i guess it’s not just in my head! + thea might have thoughts to add but i can confirm that there are also lots of times where she’s written something and i just like read it in her voice because it’s totally something she would say or do, either irl when we are together or just over text. and a lot of the hyper-describing of thoughts and surroundings is honestly equal parts a mixture of my natural thoughts and also just my process for setting a scene, which mostly goes something along the lines of “picture the place, picture the things in the place, describe the things in the place in the clearest but least awkward way possible.” probably this leads to some more describing and noticing and such than i would naturally do in my own head but 🤷🏽‍️ honestly it’s pretty close i think

It just really GRINDS MY GEARS the way Crowley is keeping so much from Aziraphale this season but also I TOTALLY understand why he's doing it
The thing is we saw Aziraphale keep a huge secret from Crowley in season 1 after he got his hands on the Nice and Accurate Prophecies and went to heaven with the information about Adam rather than telling Crowley, but then we saw him grow from that mistake. He realized how wrong a decision that was and that's why he's SO committed to them working as a team in season 2. The way he immediately goes to Crowley when Gabriel shows up and keeps him updated whenever he talks to heaven and even calls from Edinburgh to tell him about the new Clue (and maybe to brag a little because he's feeling proud)
and YEAH Aziraphale lies. I'm not saying he doesn't. He's a liar. Lies to himself, to heaven, to hell, to god's face, and sometimes to Crowley. But in my opinion, the biggest lie he tells Crowley about the occult/ethereal goings-on this season is not telling him about Shax on the drive back to Edinburgh. And I think the reason he doesn't is the same reason he's SO nervous to tell him about Gabriel at first; he's afraid Crowley will overreact - will totally freak out when he realizes Aziraphale is being threatened. Which is, frankly, justified. He would.
But then Crowley is over here lying about SO MUCH all season. And some of the lies are about his own pride (i.e. not telling his self-described bestie that he has been UNHOUSED for YEARS during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC) but mostly he does it because he thinks it is protecting Aziraphale. Because he is so obsessed with saving Aziraphale.
Everyone knows it - Demons are using threats against Aziraphale as a way to intimidate Crowley all over the shop (a good tactic tbf, far more effective than threatening Crowley himself), and Aziraphale openly speaks it.
But the actual reason he does it is because he's so concerned about proving his worth to Aziraphale. We know Crowley has self-esteem issues. He's all smoke and mirrors - not a man (nb) just a flashy jacket wrapped around a bundle of insecurities and anxieties. He still thinks he needs to prove himself to Aziraphale, that he needs to make himself worthy of his partnership. He cognitively knows they should be equals, a team of the two of them on their own side, but he just can't shake the notion that Aziaphale needs a reason to fraternize with a demon.
And of course, Aziraphale doesn't. He loves Crowley as he is and sees just as much worth in the small acts of bringing him chocolates at the bookshop opening or clearing them a table at the Ritz. True, he does love that Crowley loves saving him, but not because he actually needs it, because it's part of the flirty game they play. But he's not honest enough to tell Crowley as much clearly (not that speaking it would solve Crowley's self-worth issues).
The thing is, "Saving me makes him so happy" is so much cuter when you're fully PRETENDING to be stuck in the Bastille and don't know any other way of asking your crush out on a lunch date. Because now the forces of heaven and hell are knocking on THEIR bookshop door and all they have is each other but Crowley hasn't been honest with Aziraphale about the seriousness of this threat and Aziraphale didn't warn him about Shax BECAUSE he knew he would be overprotective. Crowley needs so badly to be the hero he's undermined their power as a team.
And that's the dramatic irony of it all. As an audience, it is spelled out so clearly for us that they are at their best, their most powerful, as a team. They are a whole greater than the sum of its parts. The fact of Crowley's incessant need to prove himself, to be the hero, to "protect" Aziraphale from all this information that he has been choosing to lie about all season - it's just making them weaker.
TLDR; Crowley is lying to Aziraphale to keep him safe because he still feels like he needs to prove himself to be worthy of Aziraphale's partnership but this makes it impossible for them to truly work as a team and is hurting them both

You guys know about Writing Battle, right? The many-times-a-year writing contest with a short wordcount and a short deadline? Cool prompts, entry fee, big prize money?
It's pretty awesome. I've entered a couple times (honorable mention, woo!) and now I've been invited to be one of the Pro Judges!
The next battle starts this coming Sunday, January 12th (2025) -- since it's nearing Valentine's Day season, the subgenres to choose from will be along romantic lines. The other contests for this year will be different (SFF theme is in April, FYI).
If that sounds like your kind of fun, check it out! I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

"Are you religious?" is such a confusing question to me because instinctively I want to say "yes". Which is incorrect for several reasons:
feeling fondness towards religions because they remind Us of Our experiences doesn't count as being religious; We are observing religion from the perspective of having cults built around Us, not from being in those cults, not from having the experience of communing with divinity through religious practice, and the latter is the perspective assumed by questions about religion;
I'm not a part of any religious community (not for lack of trying, but I keep hitting brick walls, some logistical and some ideological, which kind of makes sense, especially considering the next bullet point);
Terran gods are like kinfolk to Us, and I'm just happy to see them get devotion and love and respect. (Although I'm not so happy about them being used to further certain agendas on this planet, but I digress.) I'm enthusiastic about religion because I'm enthusiastic about the mortal/divine relationship as a whole. But it feels strange, despite clearly being a mortal right now, to participate in that way. There's a constant metacognitive dissonance.
And, like, the thing is, in the Configuration we reënact religiosity all the time. Can Calah is my beloved devotee but also not always -- in at least one world, he is the god of the dawn and I am his devotee. We are each other's god and we are each other's priest. When I think of "being religious" I think of this first, of our constant retelling of this story, of our cosmos-spanning cultus. We incarnate to learn more of devotion, to experience the sacred rite of mortality striving for divinity. Is this fervent autotheism not religiosity?

I type. And I don't need to always type. I don't need to type when something else is faster. I don't need to type when I have another option. I don't need to type when something else is more natural. I don't need to type if I don't want to. I don't need to always do the same thing.
Sometimes people will start learning to use an AAC method and focus on it, get stuck on it, rather than the more general communication. How do you have people listen, and communicate, and pay attenion, and include you? The focus doesn't need to be one app, one device, one method. There is the question, the idea - how works for you and them and your relationship and getting ideas across and being understood to each other. What's comfortable here, now, with these people, in this situation, in this moment. It's not about an AAC app, its about your communication.
Not everything is words, not everything needs to be words, not everything should be words. Our words are powerful, and our words are ones we use when we want to, and our words are ones we use how we want to. But our words aren't the only communication method that exists.
It's I can do what is right for me, whatever that is, because I am a person.
And I can have relationships with people who treat me as a person.
And its not about one method of communcation, its about communicating, as a person, with other people.

Rewatching Dalek right now and drawing a lot of parallels to The Interstellar Song Contest, which seems to lack a lot of the nuance that this episode has. I've been enjoying the new series and still enjoyed a lot about TISC but it definitely had some weird messaging going on. Rambling under the cut.
In Dalek the doctor admits to his role in the genocide of the daleks and time lords (which, they're not actually all dead and this changes, but at this point we don't know that). He tortures the dalek and tells it to kill itself! And the dalek was part of the metaphorical nazi race and kills a bunch of people in the episode.
But by the end of the episode who is the true villian? Van Statten. The businessman who puts his lust for power and money above morality and the well-being of literally anyone other than himself. We have some sympathy for the Doctor and the dalek by the end of the episode, and they find a level of empathy for each other. But Van Statten, the true villian, has all of the deaths blamed on his actions. He is punished in the same cruel way he treated his assistant at the beginning of the episode.
Now in TISC, Kid is painted in the same destructive light as the Doctor and the dalek are, with a very similar role of being one of the last of his kind. So why is the Corporation, the exploitative force that serves as a parallel to Van Statten, not the ultimate villian here? Why does the true villian never really get brought up again or have to pay? How exactly is anything changed or made better for the remaining Hellions? The episode tries to distract from all of this with a lovely song and a montage of defrosting everyone, but the third act doesn't really resolve anything to do with the Hellions and the destruction of their planet, which was the emotional heart of this story. I'm not saying Kid shouldn't have been punished, but his punishment doesn't actually fix anything.
And the Doctor, who had empathy for a scared, changing dalek, should have had the desire to understand. Not just assume and accept what was happening, but really understand that pain in Kid's heart. Because he knows that pain well! And hey I'm not saying he wouldn't have tortured first and asked questions later, but at some point he would have stopped and asked questions, because he's the Doctor. He's clever enough to eventually be able to tell when something isn't right.

okay maybe I can make some more progress with this by rambling about it here
Some names I’ve been considering for “dubiously evil science me” (or, in other words, my IAYS self-insert):
Initially, I did my usual trick of looking through plant genera. This brought up candidates such as Melissa, Mona (from Monarda), Brychis, Alcea, Silene, Astane (from Castanea), Bryony, and Tiger (as in tiger lilies).
Outside of these, there were also some other name ideas I’ve had floating about for a bit and want to use at some stage, so could use this self-insert as that stage. These include Kitty, Mars, Chiara (which would be a repurposing of a currently-not-really-used self-insert name), Tessa, Elin, and Rena.
However, I then decided it could be fun and fitting to pick a name from bird genera, like I did for Ardea and (technically) Linaria. Unfortunately, I didn’t really find anything that I both liked and felt fit the way I want this self-insert to be. I could maybe use something from here as a surname, though (like Strix or Celeus or something else I clicked with).
The main things I’m keeping in mind here are the nature of this self-insert as a cunning and calculating scientist (so I don’t want anything that “sounds too soft and nice”, per my own perception), but also the names of the characters I’ll be using her to selfship with (these being Belle and Camellia) - I’d rather there wasn’t too much sound overlap, if I can avoid it!
