tbh the biggest thing that drives me towards synthv and cevio/voisona 2.0 isnt even the smoothness and clean "realism" of it all, its actually the fact that said realism allows for more variation in vocal provider pronunciation mouth and tongue positions etc to shine through. i know people in da vsynth scene often use "character" to refer to a voice's robotic or engine noise-y elements (i assume because of piapro and such) specifically but i think the character that comes directly from the vocal samples/training itself is a little underappreciated. cevio ia's か゚-y がs <3

⨀ I love the tasteloids, I wish I was better with Utau because I'd happily make some covers with bitter. Bitter, salty, pepper, and yuzu are my favorites. salty's birthday is one day before mine! (I'm Dec. 2!)

Meaty Chan is a UTAU and recently I found out there was a design competition for her, so I decided to enter!

I didnt have as much time, but I think I truly put my all into it with the time I did have.

Utau is a virtual singing software that is free and accesible to artists and its different from Vocaloid due it to being "Manual" - someone can input their own/anyone elses voice manually into the software, creating a voicebank! Like Vocaloid, its tradition to give your Voicebank a design and maybe some backstory and special items! I love both official vocaloid voicebanks and utau - I would especially say Utau since it is more accesible and I love seeing the different voicebanks and designs!

For her design, I wanted to give her a more flamboyant look, and up her outfit almost if she was a super star and a debut tour or something XD I was really inspired by monster high designs and some small aspects of lolita and gyaryu fashion that made me make small choice in her designs

It makes me very excited to create something like this - I am really trying to push myself to create more work regarding my interests - Vocaloid and anything Vocaloid related has been a huge interest for me (since 2010/2011 XD) So im super happy that I can only create work but also participate in the community that frankly I have been too shy and hesitant to contribute to . I want to be more open RAAHHHHG (also if you want any reccs… im right here)

The recent “AniScripts” leak not only reveals what Animatic did to Eucerin after the events of Object Fool, but also reveals a romance arc between Clay Brick & Golden Apple & 4-part Animatic Battle x Quaddy Quarrel crossover episode which ends with Awesome Square stealing half of Animatic’s contestants.

In other news, a Shoe UTAU was recently revealed to be in the works with overwhelming positive feedback.

2025 Judge Application Form

Last year, I employed an application form in order to select judges to assist me in the comic rating process. While the judges chosen this year have served me quite well, they have expressed they would rather be entrants than judges in next year's contest, and there's a new character design contest sideshow that will need its own set of judges besides.

(Oh yeah, I guess I haven't announced that yet here, huh? Well, full details pending, but hopefully it'll be a decent alternative to people who wish to participate but can't dedicate the amount of time making a sprite comic requires.)

Anyway, to that end, I'm taking this judge application form even more public this year, hoping to cast as wide a net as possible so we can get the judges we need for next year's contests. Please spread this around to anyone you think might be interested!

I wasn't sure how to write a good description... I worry I messed it up because the other entries have more voicebank details, but Yuri has 15 voicebanks, so I didn't know how to summarize that ^^; oops

ALRIGHT so I didn't get around to making a form for submissions BUT how this is gonna work is this: you can submit your favorite vocaloid, utau, synth v, etc designs.

I'm not talking about voices (of course you can still like the voice), we're going to be focusing on designs!!

More info about the tournament:

How many contestants we'll have? 32, unless i get waaaay more submissions than anticipated, in that case we'll do 64

How to submit a design: Submissions will be made through a form that I'll link soon when I have it!

How will they be picked? The designs with more submissions will qualify to compete. Also I might add a couple of my personal favorites for free ✌️

What happens if a voicebank has multiple designs? You have to specify which one when you submit it!

Which synthesizer softwares are allowed? All of them. Vocaloid, Cevio, Synth V, Utau, Neutrino, any other that I forgot to mention here

Are cancelled/private voicebanks allowed? Yes

Are fanloids, derivatives, genderbends allowed? Yes, but I'll ask for a picture in that case just so I get the right design you're thinking of
