WIP Wednesday ☀️

So I’ve had this idea for the insomnia fic for a while and I just didn’t know how to go about it but then yesterday, the beans just started spilling 😌

“Can I-… Can I kiss you?” Eddie asks, his mind blanking completely as a teasing expression spreads across Buck’s face. “God, I don’t even know if you’re into me like that and I’m just touching you like-“

“You think I’d let you touch me this way if I wasn’t into you too?” Buck tilts his head, his eyes searching Eddie’s. “I just have another question”

Eddie’s mouth dries up at Buck’s reply. So he hadn’t been imagining all the pining looks and the way Buck had begun to be more and more in his space. They’d always been close but after the well incident, something had shifted and Eddie hadn’t been able to tell what. Not until now.

“What?”

“Do you really want our first kiss to be like this?”

“Yes” the answer spills from Eddie’s lips a little too quickly before he leans in, letting his lips crash against Buck’s. The kiss is clumsy and not at all like he’d imagined because their teeth knock together and they both retract just as quickly as he’d leaned in.

Yet that isn’t enough to deter Buck from placing a thumb under his chin, slowly guiding him back and this time, Eddie gets to taste the sweetness that is Evan Buckley. His lips are warm and soft and so welcoming. So much so that Eddie can’t wait for Buck to catch his breath.

A surge of confidence takes over and he presses against Buck’s chest with his hand, Buck willingly following suit and laying down beneath him but it doesn’t take long before his hands are back on Eddie’s face, cupping it like a fragile vase that could break at any moment.

“Okay, okay. I need to…” Buck slowly breaks the kiss and looks up at Eddie with curious eyes, trying to figure out what the hell is happening. “I need to breathe” He says, tracing Eddie’s jawline with his thumbs.

i keep having recurrent ideas of drawing aaravi using her wife as a token pool floaty/surfboard/life vest/jet ski and i never have gotten around to drawing it but. eventually. one day.

its one of the great benefits to having giant marine predator wife of course. that aaravi and her can have beach days where miranda just chills and hangs out at the surface of the water and aaravi can sit her drinks on top of her and lay on top of her and cling to her side when miranda threatens to swim them out to deeper water. excellent.
