Ì don't think a piece of media has fucked me up as much as tetro has. Like Jesus fucking christ. It's frankly horrifyingly realistic how none of the characters are recognizable. They're all broken.

Wada's regressed in every way possible. His selective mutism came back as a stress reaction. He hasn't eaten in a week. And just like into the game, he has no one. But now it's even worse, because now instead of never having them, each and every one of them slipped through his fingers. It's unlikely he'll actually be able to locate any of the other students, and before the game he was struggling to make ends meet. Now he doesn't even have a coping mechanism. Isono is gone. He'll never be able to view a streamer the same way again. His eating habits aren't going to get better when he's completely and utterly alone. He's going to starve to death. Wada Masanari died in the killing game, just like Isono, Tsuno, Watari, and Hama. And with them gone, his stumbling husk will meet their same fate.

Mai. God Mai. She fought through everything. She shouldered every burden, she made every sacrifice, she befriended every last person, and in the end, it wasn't enough. Hayashi Mai was broken. She was physically tortured, she lost any semblance of feeling safe, she lost parts of her body, and she fought through it all until the very last second. She died fighting, I doubt it was just shock, her hands were cut because she wanted to try to save herself. But in the end, Hayashi Mai lost the fight. She fell on the sword for everyone else. Hayashi Mai died in the killing game. And what's left of her body will remain in a burned down school in an underground cavern to rot.

Ojima seemingly lost nothing, but Ojima also lost everything. At first he was genuinely trying his best to be a leader for the group, almost like a second in command to sasaki at some points, but he lost his privacy and then everyone pitied him. Ojima was close with no one, but he was close with everyone. Ojima wasn't well socialized, he views every person who continues to be near him a friend, it's why he always calls people by their first names. While Ojima lost no one, Ojima lost everyone. He had what was left of his innocence defiled. He no longer felt safe within his own mind, he was scared he would hurt someone, he forced himself to stay afloat in an ocean with no bouys but a million whirlpools, and he broke. Ojima Takeshi died in the killing game just like Sasaki. And now he exists as an adult, stripped of his blissful ignorance of the world, and now way to escape the horrors he's seen.

Hiroaki. Where to even begin with Hiroaki. He was hurting when he entered the killing game, and he was hurting when he left it. He was broken, and slowly he tried to fix himself, and he was broken again by the people he hurt, and eventually he couldn't find the strength to fix himself. He's using again. He has been fairly clean for a few weeks, and now he's using again. He at least used to have his ego to fall back on, but now? Now he's nothing. He says his own name like it's an insult. He's done horrible things and hurt the people around him. Every character from Isono to Yanagi, he all hurt them somehow. And he didn't get the chance to apologize to most of them, and he has to live with the guilt that he didn't. It's honestly doubtless that Hiroakis behavior patterns are only going to get worse. He has his drug supply back, he's back with those same faux friends, and he's separated from the people he's grown to actually care about. Hiroaki Nakamigawa died in the killing game, just like Sasaki, Chiba, and Tsuno. And what's left of his facade has to continue through his old routine and go through his same habits, but with none of the artificial joy they used to provide.

Tamba is ruined. Her career is over. Her parents aren't going to give her the kind of love she's desperate for. She's looked in the mirror and seen the worst, ugliest, most horrible parts of herself. She's a coward, she's a backstabber, and she's a hypocrite. And worst of all, Tamba survived. Out of everyone who died. Isono, Sasaki, Chiba, Harada, Kamimura, Tsuno, Watari, Hama, Mai, and Hasegawa. Tamba Ruiko survived but they didn't, and she has to live with that forever. When she was cruel, when she was angry, when she bit the hands reaching out to her, and when they did everything they could to be safe. But Tamba is alive. But she isn't. Tamba Ruiko died in the killing game, just like Kamimura, Watari, and Mai. And now what's left of her broken body has to live in the shadows of their lives.

Hasegawa lost. He was a winner. He was a champion. And he lost. Everything about his life in the killing game was fundamentally unfair. He did his best to do everything right and protect the people he loved and he lost. Then he did his best to hurt the people he felt let his best friend die, and he lost. They were going to lose. He was going to win. But due to forces outside of his control, he lost. Hasegawa lost the only things keeping him steady. His meds ran out weeks ago. Kamimura died weeks ago. And now he's rotting in the med bay. He didn't have the energy to care about the people reaching out to him, and when he did get his energy back, the only thing he wanted to do was get revenge. To make them suffer the same loss he suffered, to make them understand a fraction of what it felt like. Hasegawa Ken died in the killing game the exact moment Okazaki killed Kamimura. And then with what little he had left in him, he took the blade from Okazaki's cold hands and plunged it into Hayashi.

Yanagi Shigeki became what he despises. He's nothing like who he used to be and he'll never be able to go back. One by one the layers of his facade he had built up over the years were stripped away. First he lost his faith when Sasaki killed Isono. Then he lost his dignity when he broke and hurt Nakamigawa. Then he lost his prince guise when he continued to fail time and time again to please and protect the people around him. Then, he lost Mai. He lost his knights oath. The one thing he has left was that he had Mai, he had her and he was loyal to her and he was at her service and he was going to hold onto her and die before he let go. But he was forced to. He was locked in a room with all his failures as the one flicker success he had was snuffed out. And now, he's angry. He's angry and upset and he's violent. He's exactly what he despises, a violent man who scares people. He feels deserving of death, because those kind of men are deserving of death. Yanagi Shigeki died in the killing game just like Sasaki, Tsuno, Watari, and Mai. And now, all that's left of him is everything he despises, and with nothing but hatred in his heart, he's forced to return to the people who would fear him most

This wasn't a happy ending. It was never going to be a happy ending. They're alive. The five of them are alive, but they're all dead. Everything that made them *them* when they entered the game was destroyed. Sasaki was right. Children are their best before they become aware of the horrors of the world.

Hi I have silly Evil AU event/dynamic headcanons:

Yanagi and Isono had a back and forth online that lasted like a month in which their fanbases made the benign situation 10x worse (but they don't mind because engagement for the win)

Hama stops by Harada's once a month minimum to try to convince him to join his cult and every time Harada conveniently has an angel sighting report every time to get him off his fucking lawn

Chiba sells Hama angel traps that are actually just really crappy nets with spicy perfume sprayed on it and at some point attempted a demonstration on Wada

Kamimura and Hayashi are friends pals buddies still and because of that she's the only one Hasegawa doesn't have a clear amount of dirt on unlike literally anyone else

The amout of times Kamimura and Hayashi casually run into each other on their way to their respective jobs is comedic and silly

Wada still watches Isono but only to troll her a little bit

Wada and Ojima are online friends but would hate each other irl

Sasaki frequently hires Hayashi for her services to the point they damn near have a shared custody cat since she's over so often

Ojima met Hiroaki by AI "arting" his designs and Hiroaki proceeded to go "omg you're so pathetic I need to fix you" (he now lives in an expensive ass place rent free as Hiroaki's henchman basically)

Okazaki and Tamba are friends and have at least one passionate back and forth per hangout where they talk about bettering the world only for something to go terribly wrong the second the other touches something

Hama has long shiny pretty hair

Tsuno and Sasaki are toxic yuri. So toxic yuri.

Hiroaki uses Chiba as peak "this is what you should look like" inspiration

Tamba is actively trying to pursue Watari and catch her but simply can not and so she tried to pay Hasegawa for info with classified information, handed it over, only to go "wait I can have you arrested for this give it back!!!" and he almost did out of sheer shock from the stupidity of the demand

Watari actively practices fortnite dances for the sole purpose of taunting Tamba

She also almost joined Hama's cult one time for the bit but opted out, they still keep in touch because she likes begging for food and he likes giving her food

I finally caught up with TDP, and I'm going insane about the parallels between Wada and Hasegawa (and how I see almost no one talking about this).

Isono died protecting Wada, while Hasegawa feels like a failure for not being able to protect her like he said he would. Wada openly grieves her death throughout the rest of the TDP while Hasegawa has maybe one conversation with Kamimura about Isono's death and silently suffers alone.

The adrenaline motive for the second chapter affects Wada's wellbeing and he's vulnerable once again, while Hasegawa sticks to Kamimura like glue to protect and care for him, much to Kamimura's chagrin.

Okazaki kills Tsuno and Kamimura in Chapter 3, who were the closest to Wada and Hasegawa respectively. Tsuno was Wada's closest friend, who pushed for Wada to take better care of himself. Kamimura was Hasegawa's only friend, who Hasegawa took upon himself to look out for so he didn't lose him too. Okazaki locked Wada in a bathroom stall, and then in the computer lab and physically assaulted him in retaliation for telling the others. Hasegawa, on the other hand, had to endure Okazaki's "therapy sessions", consistently reminding Hasegawa that without him, Kamimura is all alone and that he should act more paranoid in the killing game.

Once revealed as the killer in Chapter 3, both Wada and Hasegawa are furious. Wada attempts to hit her, but gets stopped by Ojima. No one bothers to try to stop Hasegawa, and he hits her.

Chapter 4 onward, Wada begins to suffer from survivor's grief, PTSD from Okazaki's abuse in the former chapter (as well as the abuse he faced prior to the events of TDP), and physical after effects from his anxiety (selective mutism) and his deteriorating health. Hasegawa only becomes more anxious without Kamimura or his medication, and begins to nervously ramble on.

Once the lights are out, Hasegawa resorts to bloodletting, and uses luminol to light his room. Despite Wada's fear of the dark, he manages throughout the campus with a shake light and even attempts to build a longer lasting flashlight.

Wada loses two more friends once Watari and Hama are both dead. But for Hasegawa, neither of these two manage to befriend him.

Wada spends all of Chapter 5 contemplating on why he's the one who's left to live when others had more to offer to the world Hasegawa believes that the surviving cast were all bad people, who all deserved to die.

Wada's an orphan, who's dirt poor while Hasegawa has two loving parents (and his dad's gf) and siblings, who managed to get rich off of quiz shows. Wada's short, Hasegawa is tall. The rest of the surviving cast all managed to befriend Wada, while Hasegawa mostly kept to himself after Kamimura's death.

IDK, looking at these two is just very fascinating.

Premieres December 4th. Sada Nariya, 30 years old, works in the Intermedia Communications Department, Sales Division 2 (commonly known as the Handsome Department) of the general trading company Hishiyama Shoji. A handsome man and the ace of his department, he has a secret that only Uno Daiki, his junior at university and at work, knows. Due to his natural tendency to try to look cool, he has stuck to the pretense of having a girlfriend that he has been dating for many years, which has resulted in him being a proud "half virgin = 0.5D". Sada keeps the fact that he is 0.5D a secret from those around him. But now, for the first time in 10 years, Sada has fallen in love. Confused by this long absence from love, Sada decides to get love advice from his junior Uno (who has had 8 girlfriends in the past)...!

Sada Nariya (Wada Masanari) He is a section chief at the Intermedia Communications Department of Hishiyama Shoji. He is 30 years old. He acts like he has a long-time girlfriend, but in fact he hasn't had one for 10 years. He is a huge fan of the fancy character "Fruity Panda," but keeps it a secret. Daiki Uno (Sasamori Hiroki) He is the head of the second sales division of the Intermedia Communications Department at Hishiyama Shoji. He is 28 years old. He is Sada's junior at university and the only one who knows Sada's secret. He lets Sada stay at his house. He is a capable man who loves clothes and whose hobby is cooking, but he doesn't have a girlfriend. Also, one of the directors is Yasoshima Miyako, who also directed Kabe Koji.

it's now the day after the final and I still feel so horrible, I just hope Jannik can move on quicker and better than me 😭 I know I'm making this situation sound like someone died or something but I just can't find ANY positives after that loss... I'm afraid this will stay with him forever even after he wins more titles 😞😞

Jannik always blooms from the most heartbreaking losses, remember that. After Wimbledon 2023, after he had lost a match against Djokovic from two sets up, he said he felt like he came close to his level and that gave him hope for the future. Everyone laughed, but the next time they met, he beat him for the first time. Two years ago he was in RG losing to Altmaier in R2 in 5 horrible sets. Look at where he is now. Look at how much he improved on clay in these past two years. In 2023 he was losing to Zverev in R4 at the US Open, now he's the defending champion, in Australia he didn't concede Zverev a single break point. And we're talking about the same person who turned a 6-0 h2h around in the span of a year.

A tennis match can change quickly. In a way, that's the most cruel sport in the world. Sometimes your opponent's ball touches 2 millimetres of the line, and your next return on second serve goes 1 centimetre out. It happens, even if it hurts. Jannik is a champion, I'm sure he'll do his best. He gets better and better every tournament, and if WADA hadn't stopped him I'm sure this clay season could've gone better for him. But I have faith in him, 100%. I HAVEN'T WATCHED ALL OF TODAY'S EPISODES SO I MIGHT BE PROVEN WRONG BUT I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT I'M MAJORLY SUS OF WADA

Wada's punishment from Loyalty Game was that he wasn't allowed to enter the basement level until the next killing happens. He and Ojima were the ones to discover Hayashi's body floating in the pool, WHICH IS IN THE BASEMENT.

Why would Wada be allowed to go down there?? Yes, the killing had already happened, but HE shouldn't have known that. The only reason why he would have gone down there is if he already knew that Mai was dead and so there was no risk of further punishment for breaking the rules.

If Wada was under the impression he wasn't allowed down there, he would have - SHOULD HAVE - remained upstairs.

Istg if Wada killed Mai I'm gonna McFucking LOSE IT

also...yeah. i'm ngl. he is kinda sus. first point, as you said, him not questioning how he was able to go to the basement without being punished. that's really weird, but. this one could be explained by wada (and ojima) just having a dumdum moment. he's been starving for 6 days, he's definitely not at his best cognitively. he could have just forgotten. i know it's a very flimsy explanation but it's not that unlikely.

the second sus point is like... him going in and out of the arsenal. especially that he wasn't carrying anything in or out?? this one got me like 🤨...okay...? why the fuck would he be there then...that's definitely sus. HOWEVER...

him potentially being mai's killer. i just got one question...how? there's no way. either he was holding a knife and mai stabbed herself on it and then jumped off the pool balcony and fell into the pool, or it's not possible. at least, i really don't think so. if it was anyone but mai, maybe, but she has like at least 60kg on him, she could literally snap him in half. buut...the murder might have been some sort of agreement between mai and the killer, so they didn't necessarily have to get a drop on her (if it fr was self-sacrifice i will cry). still, i really don't think it's wada in any capacity.

another argument against it being him: for weeks now, the main justification behind him not being the trapper was that he's incredibly weak right now due to starvation. the trapper and the killer definitely are the same person, and if he can't be the trapper, he can't be the killer. he was feeling very weak during the investigation, tamba remarked that he looked pale, and he sounded like he was on the verge of passing out a few times. it was difficult for him to even roll mai's body over. he did pass out when they discovered her body too! i really can't see him faking that. the bomb traps wouldn't be that difficult to set up, but the other traps disqualify him. he's just physically not strong enough to even carry a bucket of gasoline around.

more arguments against: his reward. why would he be so excited to show tamba his security cameras reward if he was the culprit? we know he didn't mess with the footage beforehand, because tamba was there to see him having to download it. but even if he didn't have to download and could edit it, it still wouldn't make sense, if he missed even one thing he would have been caught instantly. the best and the easiest course of action is just to not say anything about the cameras in the first place.

i think that's all i have for now. him forgetting about his punishment and it being impossible for him to be the trapper could be argued against potentially, but the security camera perk really solidifies for me that it's really not him. if he was the killer, him showing it to tamba wouldn't be some crazy 5D chess move, it would be like 0D, stupid as all hell.

with that said, what in the goddamn was he doing in the arsenal?? i really don't know, but, if he's not the killer and i had to guess...maybe he was checking if anything was missing from it? he was there with mai when she was noting down the inventory, he would be more familiar with what's in there than most of the others. other possibility, i'm nooot really feeling this one, but maybe being in a room full of deadly weapons paradoxically made him feel safer because he had so many tools to defend himself with?...there would be also a lot of tools to kill him with, so that's eeeeeeeh, plus it doesn't explain him going in and out. and the silliest option i could think of...maybe he was the one who emptied out the arsenal. he wasn't seen carrying anything because he just took things one by one and stuffed them under his baggy as fuck tracksuit. that'd be hilarious. but then again, if he did that and his goal was so people can't use this stuff, why wouldn't he fess up immediately? hmmm. i dunno. he did clam up when tamba asked why he was there, which makes me think that him going to the arsenal wasn't a purely righteous thing if he's that stressed about it, but i'm not sure. he might just have been afraid of being told off because going to the arsenal was frowned upon in general. i seriously don't think he used anything from there.

to sum up...he's a bit sus...but i reaally don't see how he could have killed mai. i haven't read a lot of speculation yet so maybe that will change somehow, but i don't think so. so in the end, him forgetting about the punishment was probably him being a giant dummy.

Buncha random head canons (mostly different kinds of body head canons)

Let's start with body type! I'm prefacing this by saying that this is by no means trying to sexualize the cast I just think body shapes are cool and fun.

Isono - I am a massive proponent for chubby Miki. I think she has more of a pear shape and caries most of her weight in her tummy or legs. I also like to draw her with freckles, like a lot of freckles. It might be because she's ginger. Also acne Miki real. Also Dimples. That is all.

Harada - CHUBBY HARADA. I refuse to budge on this matter. The second I figure out how I draw him I will be drawing him so much I kinda hate how my current drawing of him is coming out because he doesn't look chubby enough!! Also canonically he has muscle under his body fat. Also I think he canonically has freckles but if I'm wrong then he also has freckles. I also think he has kinda fucked up teeth, like double canines or a snaggletooth or something. Also he's covered in cat scratches from Sawa. I desperately want to be number nine (/silly).

Chiba - Canonically underweight :<. I feel like if she weren't malnourished and allowed to actually grow properly she would be a little chubbier but unfortunately parents :/. I think she has a REALLY complicated skin care routine, and she still gets zits from time to time. She also has really nice nails, she grows naturally really nice French tips and I am envious.

Kamimura - Very skinny. Not like Wada or Chiba malnourished skinny but like sopping wet pomeranian skinny. His teeth are also fucked and he needs braces pretty bad but he refuses to get them. He also has a bunch of silly piercings, tongue, a good three ear piercings, gages, eyebrow, spiderbites, the works. Also he has eye issues and needs glasses but won't get them.

Hayashi - Obviously built like a brick house. She's also like super fast and speedy because of how much she runs with her puppers and also her job but mostly the puppies. She also has like super nice lashes and impeccable cheekbones, if it weren't for the permascoul it would be like you stuck an entry level models face on Ms. Olympia. This is why boys ask her out all the time.

Wada - Obviously very underweight. I think he has nobby little knees and slightly bowed legs and his thighs are the kind of skinny where it looks like they curve inward. Also he's albino so he also has eye issues and can not stand to go outside without sunglasses and simply does not tan.

Sasaki - Sasaki has a very average build, but shes on the willowy side. I think she walks with the subtlest of limps from that knee injury and doesn't do great on really long treks because of it. Also I think she's specifically near sighted and when she's winding down for bed she'll take of her glasses and read until she falls asleep. Impeccable skin.

Ojima - Ojima isn't muscular or anything bit he's like ever so slightly toned. I think this exclusively because of that time Von gave him boy lifting ass grabbing perms. Another dimple haver, but they're subtler than Isono's. He has very broad shoulders. Also his ties tucked into his.... thingy because it gets in the way when he draws.

Okazaki - Skinny. Very throwable, very puntable, I think a stiff enough breeze could throw off her balance. Beanpole. She also has double canines

Hama - Obviously built. Frequently I can't tell if I'm looking at his sprite wrong or if he just has a very cut waist but I like to think it's the latter for funsies. Hama also frequently has bandaids on his fingers because he plays his guitar too much.

Tsuno - Similar to Harada, chubby but with muscle underneath. I very much can't decide if she has squishy tummy or abs but either interpretation makes me happy. Also shout out to her hour glass figure, it makes my headcanon lead toward the chubby end of the spectrum because women with a chubby hour glass figures are shapey and fun to draw.

Hiroaki - This man has negative muscle mass he is not but bones and flesh. I think his silhouette is just box I think he has negative curves. He also has a little bit of a baby face in my brain. He also has bruises on his arms from... activities so he's always wearing long sleeves. Also mole under his right eye.

Tamba - Very lithe very athletic very gymnast. I forget if her sprite has abs or not but if it doesnt she has abs. I think if we were to exclude the malnourished people she would probably weigh the least. Also broad shoulders. Not like Ojima or Mai broad but like broader than most of the other girls. This is offhandedly mentioned in the climb and I'm exaggerating it for fun.

Hasegawa - Canonically has some musculature, this is noted by multiple people. It's obviously not as much as Hayashi or Hama but I think he'd have a slightly more muscular build than Yanagi. Another possesser of dimples and freckles, I think they would suit his permanently horrified eyes. I think despite being muscular he still has a very straight and boxy build, still a beanpole just less squishy.

Watari - More muscular than Tamba. She's a dancer, I think her leg game goes crazy. That said she absolutely skips arm day, she is powerful in the legs and the legs only. She also has uneven teeth, I can't decide between a gap or if they're just crooked. Also because we know she sews but we only ever see her sewing on patches by hand and we hear hide nor hair of her using one of the sewing machines I'm going to assume she sews all of those uniforms by hand and so her hands are super callous and she always has bandaids on them.

Yanagi - Twink. Honestly same build as tamba but with more chub on it. Unlike Tamba I do not think he has abs. I think he does have slightly better arm game than tamba though, I think he could definitely lift more than her. He also has very pinchable cheeks, dimples, and very nice eyelashes. Like I'd commit murder for them kind of eyelashes. Unfortunately they are not the Blonde Eyelashes TM that I adore so much but they are still very nice.

I also have shaving head canons! I don't know if people would consider this one weird, but I know when I shave my legs it's more a presentation, sensory, and therapeutic thing than a "sexy" kind of thing so that's the angle I'm approaching this from.

Isono - I think Isono does not shave. I think we need more keyboard goblin Miki propaganda and this is my addition to it. She used to before she fully retreated but now she just does not give a shit, it's orange anyway it's not very noticeable and she doesn't go outside so who's judging her.

Harada - I think Harada shaves his face and his face only and I think he's a little shitty at it. Like he still has stubbly patches that he missed and is too lazy to go back in and fix because he doesn't have the time or energy. Its also patchy so he can not grow it out. His hair isn't thick but it is very dark so it's pretty noticeable.

Chiba - I do not think Chiba grows hair, and if she does it is the shortest little blonde fuckers that are completely invisible to the human eye in which case yes she does shave it but only when her mom gets on her case about it.

Kamimura - I also do not think Kamimura grows hair, and if he does it's very light and he does not bother to shave.

Hayashi - Hayashi only shaves in the summer and spring, one the long pants come out she can not be bothered to pick up a razor. Even then she only shaves when she feels like it which is very infrequently.

Wada - I think Wada has very faint very blonde hair that he does not shave. It is imperceptible to the human eye.

Sasaki - I think Sasaki shaves pretty religiously. I think she is absolutely a bath girly and I think part of her bath routine is a very in depth shave routine. I think she does it partly because it's therapeutic and partly because she can not stand the feeling of new hairs growing in and it drives her insane.

Ojima - Onion doesn't know what a razor is.

Okazaki - Okazaki does not shave. They are very attatched to their silly little leg hairs and their shittty little stubble because it makes them feel dashing and handsome.

Hama - I think Hama actually does shave just because it obstructs his tattoos because his hair is dark and a little bit dense.

Tsuno - Tsuno shaves because she likes feeling pretty and feminine and silky and going skirt go spinny. She uses the good shit too, nice Shea butter and quality lotion.

Hiroaki - I think he used to shave his legs when he was modeling his own clothes but now he doesn't really care. He'll sometimes do it in the summer when its shorts time but ony when he really feels like it. He does make sure to keep his fave stubble free tho because he feels like it doesn't look good on him.

Tamba - I think Tamba shaves because she thinks it makes her more aerodynamic. No one has told her that is for swimmers and not gymnasts.

Hasegawa - I'm gonna project here and say that Ken has sensory issues with body hair so he shaves. Otherwise he thinks it's cumbersome and annoying, but he can not stand the feeling of his leghairs brushing his pant leg.

Watari - she only shaves for dance competitions, she doesn't really have the time to take an hour and shave otherwise.

Yanagi - Face only, I like to think that his dad has stubble and he refuses to let any hair grow at all ever or he will start crying.
