No walk in the woods ☹️

I drove to the Shiawassee Wildlife Refuge this morning to enjoy a long walk in the woods. It never happened. When I got there, the sign read Closed To The Public. 😩

It was closed due to white tail deer hunting this week. I did the next best thing, I drove across the river to do some riverside walking.

Just look at that water, it is a very peaceful morning. It was enjoyable but there is fewer places to walk. This is the Tittabawassee river and this location is about 20 miles south of The Tridge in Midland Michigan that I have posted here.

I did find one short trail, and I mean very short. It started at the far right side of the pic above 👆

Got some nice pictures though.

Do not know what to think for this painting . Is not good to Pixies eyes look like just messy crooked lines … Maybe is plants not from Earth . anyways is fine pixie not like it , can not like every painting .

From Freeland Michigan-

I mentioned in my prior post about a river trail I got a heads-up about and I drove there to check it out. Here are some shots from the area.

This path leads to an area that is cleared out,but not to any river trail. It was still a beautiful area.

This is looking north on the Tittabawassee River. I am guessing that this is about 18 miles south of the massive Dow Chemical plant.

Pic above 👆is loking south from the same spot as the previous shot.

I believe they might allow people to come down here in the spring for walleye season opening. It seems well maintained here but there was a steel gate closing off the area.

It was only 45F degrees this morning with a 15mph wind and I froze my butt off. By the way, I found nothing free when I went through Freeland except some lodging. 😂😂 They have a prison there 🤣
