So Bruce Banner lost:
his best science buddy, the guy who housed him while he was coming to closer terms w/ the hulk
his semi girlfriend, or at least the girl he loved and trusted enough to know he had to walk away from her
And the guy who helped him through the roughest, and darkest patch of his life, the guy who helped him a lot more with his relationship and the hulk, the guy who saved him from himself. Thor straight up leaves at the end of the film, leaving Bruce all by himself.
I know everything sucks, but Bruce really didnt get a happy ending. Steve lived out his days, and Clint has his family and retirement now, but Bruce??He's all by himself on earth, w/ no familiar friends. Yes, he's a canonically a celebrity, but what a lonely life it must be to be famous and have no close friends to trust.

Do you ship Romanogers?
I am angry that we were robbed of my Cold War ship, aka widowcap and Romanogers. Chris and Scarlett always have fantastic chemistry because of their friendship and I love them together. And also widowhulk gave me so much cringe and discomfort. I do think widow would have been better with Clint than Laura showing up as a “hah! Fooled ya!” but I may just be projecting.
Honestly I’m team whoever makes Steve happy and in the comics and cartoons that’s pretty much all his teammates and Sharon, so yeah I ship them.
MCU can pry checkerboard chick PeggyxGabe from my cold dead fingers because they erased an integral part of comic book history and I will die mad about it.

More Brutasha/Brucenat, Hulkwidow FanFiction
About a week ago I posted Bruce/Natasha FanFiction to old stories, well now here are some more recent FanFiction stories.
Growing Back Together (Ongoing) by Visme: This is a Brutasha story for all who ship them. This takes place after AoU... please keep in mind this is my first every story. What would happen if Bruce never left entirely? Would Natasha take him back? Would he ever be able to have a normal relationship with Natasha? More chapters to follow...
Postcards and Payphones (Ongoing) by herworship429: He watches the war from the sidelines, and spends every Wednesday afternoon at the only payphone on the island, waiting for her call.
So what? We just dissapear? (Ongoing) by Wildjump: POST AGE OF ULTON. Tons of Spoilers so watch the movie first. Nathasha isn't handling the absence of one of her old team members in particular nearly as well as anyone had hoped. Will Steve be able to convince him to return for her sake and how will he fit into the New Avengers' world?
Stitch (Complete) by BannerFanner: When the lights go out in the Avengers tower, Bruce enlists Natasha to attend to a cut in his hand. Finally they get a chance to clear the air after the helicarrier incident. (Takes place before Age of Ultron; implied pre-Bruce/Natasha.)
Home (Ongoing) by hulkwidownikki: It's been over a year since Bruce had left on the Quinjet without a trace. Natasha had been tracking him every day until one day he comesBACK to her. references to AOU
Keep 'Em on a Leash (Complete) by celeste9: Natasha rarely let herself care this much - she had learned the hard way how to protect herself, from every sort of pain. It had been foolish to stop, but she had wanted... Oh, she had wanted. (Post AOU)
When It Matters (Complete) by Fire_Sign: Officially, SHIELD is not looking for the Hulk. Natasha is, when she has the time, but that is strictly off the record. When Steve gives her a far too knowing look, she shrugs. He's still chasing ghosts of his own.
Run (Complete) by SecondSilk: Eventually, Natasha tracks Bruce down.

So... who wants to read my BruceNat fiction...?
So I wrote this little tidbit - Natasha watching Bruce type thing. Give it a little read if you like.
She sees every little movement in the quiver of his hands and his fingers as he twists them softly together and apart, together and apart, together and apart, in a gentle dance of skittishness.
She sees every little movement in the quiver of his hands and his fingers as he twists them softly together and apart, together and apart, together and apart, in a gentle dance of skittishness. He shifts gently from side to side, moving his weight from the ball of one foot to the other, in an almost unperceivable movement, but she sees it. His shoulders are hunched, and if he speaks at all, his lips barely move at all, and his nervous, tender nature is permeable.
She sees it all.
She sees the twinkle in his eyes when Tony Stark is crude, the twist of his lips when Steve is lost in modern day references, the gears of his mind churning when Thor says something well and truly alien.
Natasha sees Bruce, a puppet tightly bound by strings, controlled by the Other Guy, his movements slight and constrained - she sees how much he fears himself, and straying from his careful routine of serenity and despite everything she has ever learned about men and their testosterone addled minds, she cannot understand how this man, Bruce Banner, could lose his temper.
Could even lose his temper, never mind become a being whose temper is at his core.
And yet, in those rare instances where he has to clench his fists and leave the lab to breathe slowly and deeply, as some monks in Calcutta taught him before she dragged him into this environment which causes him constant vexation, she sees it.
A twinge of green in those dark eyes, deep and primal, a shadow of who Bruce Banner truly is and yet everything he was ever meant to be.
"Natasha."
She starts, briefly wondering how long she has been studying him, and carefully arranges her features into an expression of nonchalance, an eyebrow rising.
His twist of a smile is there, the twinkle in his eyes present too.
"Yeah?"
He watches her a moment longer, before shrugging his shoulders and letting out a short laugh.
"Nothing, nothing."
Her back is rigid, her hands clenched into fists, under the table, out of his sight, her face carefully expressionless.
But he sees her.
He sees the strings that hold her bound to SHIELD and Fury, perhaps not against her will but still, it would be better not to have a ledger dripping in gore in the first place. He turns his back to her, fetching something from his work bench, picking through bits and pieces of detritus left behind by Stark. He finds what he is looking for, and turns back to the bench she is sitting at, quietly watching.
His eyes lift for a moment from his work, and they meet her own, dark and full and soft. She smiles at him. He returns the curve of her lips, slowly and for a moment she sees nothing but Bruce Banner, hale and whole and complete with just an utterance of an incredible Hulk.
For that moment, they are nothing resembling puppets and they are small and insignificant and Natasha pins it down in her mind, another layer to cover the Red Room.
For the first time in as long as she can remember, she feels her heart twinge.
And he sees it.
------
I have no strings to hold me down, to make me fret or make me frown, I had strings but now I'm free - there are no strings on me.

funny you’re the broken one but i’m the only one who needed saving

Just once I want something that’s mine. Something beyond my hands and my skin and the gun in my hands—something I can wrap my world around, something I can seat in my heart.
I wanted you.

RP, Hulk meets Rulk, Natasha gets caught in the mess.
You're chatting with a random stranger. Say hi!
You and the stranger both like pepperony, hulkwidow, and Clintasha.
You: Confused, he looked around and tried to assess the danger...or in this case lack there of. He was outside, in a forest by the looks of it, and the most threatening thing he'd seen so far was a nest of bees. Nothing that would've caused Banner to snap, but, here he was in all his green glory. Hulk was ready to pound away at the danger but being faced with none just left him rampaging around in a circle, like an ape defending its territory; unsure what exactly to do with himself. The only things getting demolished were the trees he ran into and the ground being pulverized beneath his heavy feet and hands.
Stranger: "We're going to have to capture him or take him out." Fury said coldly, looking at Clint who had his eye on the Hulk. "Good luck with that Fury. He could take down an armada" Natasha spoke sarcastically, her green eyes on Bruce. This wasn't his fault. He wasn't a monster, he just had an inner demon that was stronger then most. Deep down Bruce was in the Hulk. She knew it. "I'm going to get Banner. I can get him to change back. Lower your weapons, if Hulk sees he'll have a meltdown." Natasha ordered harshly, looking at the men. "You heard her." Fury said and like that the soldiers on stand by lowered or dropped their weaponry. "Tasha..." Clint said, but the Widow looked at him. Her best friend knew her true feeling for the doctor and if anyone could get the hulk it was her. He lowered his bow, looking at her. "Be careful." he said and like that Natasha ran to the Hulk, stopping went she was only a few yards. "Bruce!" she called out, looking at him. "I'm here. It's me, Natasha." she spoke calmly, her eyes on him.
You: The sudden voice drew Hulk's attention immediately, greeted by the sight of familiar red hair and a small black-clad figure. Hulk knew her, he'd seen her...he also remembered her pulling a gun on Banner and chasing her around the hellicarier. His fists slammed into the ground as he bellowed mightily from the depths of his throat, making no further advancements towards her nor making any particularly violent motions. Hulk knew there had to be a reason as to why he'd been brought out, and if Natasha was the only thing presenting itself to him...then his mind only assumed the worse. It wasn't without conflicting thoughts, they'd fought together, they'd made their amends, so why her? Standing his ground, the green chest heaved as he waited for her to make a move, just waiting to be provoked.
Stranger: Even the resilient red headed spy looked intimidated by the green figure, especially when he pounded his fists on the ground like he did. She remembered when Bruce had turned in the hellicarier, that experience one of the most terrifying ones in her lifetime. Nothing could take down the hulk, but she knew Bruce could control him if he could just reach him. "Bruce!" she called again, not daring to draw her weapon nor make any sudden movements that he may take as a threat. She slowly took steps towards him, her movements gentle and quiet. "Bruce I need you to take control. There are no hostiles here. There are no dangers present. You're safe," she told him in a shut, her normal sharp tone has lost it's edge when talking to the beast.
You: She was moving towards him, but that in itself wasn't provoking him to attack. Thick green knuckles dragged on the ground as he actually took a step back from her, giving up some of the ground he'd just been so fiercely defending. Her eyes, as green as he was, weren't intimidating but something in them made him take those almost retreating steps as he looked around as if trying to find evidence that her words were untrue. Hulk by nature was distrusting of everyone, after all the times he'd been shot and attacked without reason was enough for him to be skeptical of everything and everyone. Crouching down, his spine curled as he got on a more eye level vantage with Natasha; looking her over carefully for any signs of danger.
Stranger: Natasha watched as he stepped away from her, knowing that her plan was working. She removed her widow bites from her wrists and tossed her gun to the ground. "I'm completely unarmed." she said, trying to hold in her urge to scowl as Clint started shouting profanities in her ear for that action through the comm link. "I know what I'm doing. Trust me. Don't make a move." she said in the link before tossing that to the ground as well. Her hands were up like she was surrounding, but her piercing green eyes remained on the green giant. "I'm not going to hurt you. I'm a friend, I always have been." she said, knowing that the hulk's memories of her probably weren't all pleasant. Bruce had no trust in her at first and she truly hoped she has earned his trust. "Bruce I need you to take control. Please, I need you." she said, her eyes locking onto the hulk's gaze.
You: Broad green shoulders slumped as his head fell, a more restful position over taking his form as he propped himself up on his forearms. But, the transformation wasn't coming, /Bruce/ wasn't coming it and it confused the Hulk as much as the rest of this situation. Shaking his head, no matter how hard he tried to revert back to the puny form it just wasn't happening. "Banner gone." he spoke in a raspy voice, but quiet considering the great volume in which he usually yelled. "Hulk, not sure why." he meant it both in reference as to why he was brought forth and to why Banner was seemingly refusing to be anything less than the green rage monster.
Stranger: Natasha's eyes grew wide at that, surprised that Hulk wasn't screaming and that Banner was gone. Natasha moved quietly, slowly and with ease to the beast. She remembered how the hulk almost killed her on the heillcarrier, that game of cat and mouse was that an enjoyable one for the woman. The assassin swallowed her fear and with her thoughts around Bruce she moved her hand to gentle lay a soft hand on the hulk's arm. "Banner is hiding huh?" she asked the Hulk softly, her heart pounding at being only a few inches from a being that could kill her easily. "Are you scared Hulk?" she asked, hoping maybe Bruce could hear her. "There's nothing to be afraid of. You have people who care about you."
You: Looking over at her with a quick jerk of his head, the usual aggression etched onto his face was replaced by confusion. Usually the only things that touched him were bullets, missiles, any form of weapon that was designed to kill him. The only woman--no, person, brave enough to lay a hand on him had been that of Betty. Hulk remembered Better, he liked Betty, she was soft and warm and seemingly unafraid of him; the same couldn't be said for Natasha yet. Snorting at her comment he rolled his eyes, "world want Hulk dead." it wasn't a matter for debate, it was something he knew and was proved time and time again. "Hulk not scared. Banner scared." he corrected her.
Stranger: Natasha frowned at that, not knowing what to say at first. She was never good with emotion, but she had to lay her feelings out there. She moved her hand over his arm in a smoothing manner, looking at him with softness in her usually dead serious eyes. "That's not true. Not the entire world at least." she said, Nat never one to sugar coat things. "Most of the world is thankful for you. After everything that happen in Manhattan. You're the one who stopped Loki, tossed him around like a damn ragdoll. You saved the world. Even if there are quite a few who want you dead, the world need the hulk." she said softly, looking at the ground. Her fingers kept moving down the Hulk's arm in a comforting fashion as she took a deep breath. "And the world needs Bruce. He's helped so many. I-I need Bruce... He means the world to me." she said quietly, hoping to God Bruce was listening. "I can protect you Banner. You don't need to be scared." she pleaded, biting her lower lip.
You: Of course she wanted Banner. Who else would she want? The world could be thankful for the Hulk all they wanted, but of course it'd never actually WANT him; there was still the fear of uncertainty if he could truly be trusted. Never the less, the words got to him and Hulk's demeanor softened once more but still Bruce would not come. Just as he was about to speak once more, try and convey some form of intelligent speak, a grave roar in the distance caught his attention. Immediately he stood up and pushed Natasha none to gently behind him; watching the birds fly over head and the woodland animals scurrying off as the echoing snaps of trees grew closer. Hulk knew those sounds, he KNEW that roar. It was....his? That couldn't be right...there was only one Hulk, and he was being quiet and confused yet the forest insisted that he was being loud; it made no sense. Granted, little did this day, and it only proved itself more as a mirror image of himself crashed before them. The only difference being that where as Hulk was green, this counterpart was solid red.
Stranger: Natasha looked in the direction of the grim roar, nearly falling off her feet when hulk pushed her back behind him. Her attention were on the animals escaping the trees, their homes, obviously running from whatever the hell made the earsplitting sound. The woman had to clench her jaw to prevent it from dropping as the Red Hulk crashed before them, that actually knocking The Widow off her feet. Romanoff got up quickly, running to her weapons. She picked up her comm link, "Natasha get the fuck out of there!" Clint yelled, surprised as everyone that there was a Red Hulk on the rampage, this one safe to say more dangerous than their Hulk. "No! Gunfire will throw our hulk off guard. Have the soldiers hold their weapons and to fire when I get the signal." she said, putting on her widow bracelets. The Black Widow fired at the Red Hulk with her bracelets, hoping to give Hulk the advantage.
Stranger: *when I give the signal
You: The Red Hulk chuckled---no, it was flat out laughing. "Puny girl...you know better than to think bullets would hurt me." he chastised blankly. Hulk could hardly believe what he was seeing, let alone what he was /hearing/. This Red Hulk was coherent, speaking in fluid sentences in precise and correct pronunciation. Any thoughts of amazement however soon flew out the window as the Red Hulk turned to swing his arm at Natasha and that was all the provoking Hulk needed to jump into action; tackling the red monster and pounding his fist to its face. It was hardly surprising that this new Hulk displayed similar strength, wrestling the Green Hulk off of him and fighting back; a flurry of fists and roars traded between them as the fought.
Stranger: Natasha looked at the Red Hulk when he /spoke/ to her in complete and understandable English, her green eyes widening in utter horror. He wasn't like the Hulk. He was far more intelligent and was far more violent. The Hulk 'smashed' out of ignorance and instinct, this Red Hulk held intellect, his violence came from the soul rather than nature. She moved her arms up in a helpless attempt to protect herself as he moved to swing at her. The swing would have probably knocked her unconscious or worse, but the Hulk came to her rescue. She watched as the two fought like animals, punching each other savagely. "Now Romanoff?" Clint asked through the comm link. "No we'll hurt our Hulk. Let me try and to get him away from the Red guy, then blow this new hulk into Hell." she said, watching as the fight pursued.
You: The Hulks movements were as brash and mindless as ever, moving with the intent to smash and injure with brutal swings; where as the Red Hulk had all that power combined with tactical movements. Red absorbed hits in order to give hits and dodged when he could to get under the swings and hit from bellow. With a well timed take down, Green found himself in a place he hadn't before, pinned and staring up at an attacker. The only situation comparable was when he faced the Abomination, and even that Hulk seemed to have an upper hand in. "Hulk. Smash." Red's words dripped sarcasm as he smirked, raising his fists high above his head and true to his word brought them down repeatedly, again and again, smashing them against Green's upper body and head. As he struggled to free himself and defend against the blows, Green suddenly remembered they weren't alone and called out to the green eyed woman close to them, yelling at her; "Go! GO."
Stranger: ((brb))
Stranger: ((Back! Sorry!!))
You: ((No worries, welcome back))
Stranger: ((Just so you know I love that you're playing the hulk and included the red hulk!))
You: ((Rulk needs some more villain light, haha. And thank you for answering my starter! No one else has in the past...day, day and a half. Off put by the fact the starter is Hulk and not Banner I guess. Seriously, thank you. And I love the way you're portraying Natasha.))
Stranger: ((I love that it starts off as Hulk. It's amazing and you portray him so well. Thank you, I'm not that good but I love playing her. She's a fun character and hulkwidow/Brutasha is one of my favorite pairings, but hardly anyone likes it. Thanks for doing this.))
Stranger: "Get more soldiers. Get all that SHIELD has and the army. Get-" she stopped speaking when she saw the Red Hulk pinning Hulk down. "Just don't fire until I get the signal Barton," she warned harshly, adjusting her bracelets and picking up her gun. Her fighting skills were useless against this new enemy, but she had other tricks up her black sleeves. When the Hulk shouted at her she stood her ground regardless. "I'm not leaving without you!" she screamed, firing her gun at the Rulk. Bullets just slid off his body like they were nothing more than bubbles to the invincible creature. Her attention wasn't to harm, it was to distract so Hulk could get away from him. She adjusted her bracelets, sending an electric shock the Red Hulk's way. If he was like the Hulk, was there a person trapped inside this creature? "Why are you doing this? Who are you under red Red? You human?" The Russian woman asked, looking at him with serious eyes.
Stranger: ((Ugh! i'm sorry for my errors! I type faster than I think. I apologize.))
You: Rulk managed to get one backhand punch to Hulk before the electricity hit him, and that got his attention. "Little girl, you don't know what you're dealing with." he chastised, taking heavy steps towards her. "This is why war is no place for women, much less little girls with little toys. Don't get involved, missy. I want him, not you and your little army." He warned gravely, feeling thick fingers like his own wrap around his ankle. Hulk, weakly tried to push himself up on one hand, keeping a firm grip on Rulk; his regenerative factor working over time to try and recover. Hulk wasn't about to let some copy of him hurt one of his friends, it wouldn't allow it even if said friends stubbornness kept her in the middle of danger.
You: ((No worries, I'm no stranger to typo's myself.))
Stranger: Natasha looked at him, taking a few steps back. Was this why Bruce was scared? He knew about this guy. "I'm a solider. War is all I know." she told him, her tone assertive and her face solid to hide the fear she deeply felt. When she saw Hulk grab the Red Hulk's ankle, Natasha looked at him with concern in her eyes. She watched, Hulk was obviously worn down from the fight. "Hulk let him go. We need to run." she said, quickly throwing a small device from her Widow's belt at Rulk's legs. The device opened, revealing a wire that wrapped around Rulk's legs. She knew that could only hold him for so long. "We need to go Hulk! The army and the Avengers can handle him. We need you out of here! We got to get you away from him!" she yelled, gesturing for him to run.
You: As much as he hated it, he listened to her words. Struggling to get to his feet as Rulk fell off his own. "NO! This isn't over, you're not getting away again!" Rulk roared up at him, grabbing Hulk by the hand and yanking him back down. A needle, dwarfed by his massive red hand came into play, stabbing Hulk in the neck who in turn let out a loud bellowing cry of his own. Staggering as Rulk pushed him off, he felt...strange, rubbing his neck he plucked the small syringe from his neck and tried to gain his bearings. But it was no use, slowly and painfully he was turned back into Banner. Bruce, without the Hulk's regenerative factor fixing him, was left with a deep red and purple bruise the size of Hulks fist on his side. Blood spurted from his mouth as he panted and heaved heavily, still able to feel the Hulk sealed away deep inside him but unable to call upon him; a suppressant running through his veins and knowing of only one man that would have access and drive to commit that. "R-Ross...what've you done...?"
Stranger: "Bruce!" Natasha screamed, watching the scene take place. She was unable to stop Rulk in time. Hulk shifted into Bruce Banner, leaving him in a beaten state. The poor scientist was decorated blue, purple, and even red. He was in awful shape and condition. When he said Ross, Natasha immediately knew who this sophisticated Hulk was. "It's Thunderbolt Ross. Red Hulk is General Ross." she told Clint into her comm link, her dagger eyes on the beast. She's read Bruce's records, she knew about this man. "Are you fucking happy now General? You got rid of the Hulk. You know, the green giant that saved Manhattan, the world, and your daughter." she said, running to Bruce's side. She wrapped an arm around him, a gun pointed at the Red Hulk. She knew it was useless, but she didn't care. "You're going to let me take him out of here peacefully or the military will have a field day playing target practice with you." she said, her eyes narrowed.
You: "Saved Manhattan...listen to yourself! The Hulk is a monster that needs to die! BRUCE BANNER IS THE MONSTER." he roared, propping himself up on his arm, trying to untangle the cords from his legs with large clumsy hands that struggled to grip the fine wire. "You, the entire world, is fooled by one act brutality that happened to go earths way! What about the lives lost to this monster while he was on the run?! What about them, do they mean nothing?! You take him, fine, but I can guarantee I'll be back for him. You can't hide, Banner, do you hear me? You can't run forever!" All Bruce could do was stare at the monstrosity Ross had become, the same monster that was inside him. "g-go..." he coughed out to Natasha as he got to his feel with shaking and buckling knees beneath him.
Stranger: Natasha felt a scoff escape her. "Bruce is this monster in this situation? Could have fooled me." she said, her tone deadly like her eyes. If she wasn't human, if she had the means, she would have killed Ross there. She looked at Bruce who was in terrible shape, his legs shaking as he tried to stand. Natasha nodded at his request and with a glare threw another device at Ross, an second wire to keep him busy. It didn't do damage, but no weapon she had would. When she brought Bruce closer to their destination, Natasha brought her finger to her earpiece. "Now." she stated flatly. Clint sent one of his explosives arrows Rulk's ways, the archer having the trigger urge the moment the Red Hulk came to the playing field. With that several other shots were made to try and subdue him for capture. "He's stronger than he looks. Don't have the soldiers approach him directly. He will kill. He's after Banner who he has seriously injured. Get the medics and prepare for transport to med-bay." she said before signing off. Nat paid no attention to the firing behind her for now, her eyes on Bruce. "You're going to be okay Bruce. Alright?" she spoke softly to the man.
You: Bruce knew all those explosions would do next to nothing, if they were lucky a bomb would stun Ross enough for a knockout blow to be dealt. But otherwise, it was all useless and he knew it from his own experience. The brutal damage he had to his body was why he remained in hiding inside the Hulk, having been taken of guard when the whole mess started. The only thing that saved his life--much like the time he'd tried to end his life--was the Hulk and his regenerative factor, but without that...he was damaged and he knew it. A shattered rib had punctured his lung, causing the heaving and huffing as he tried to breath, his lips leaking blood every now and then but he nodded all the same to Natasha. It would do no good to get her worked up with his doubts, lips twitching to her as he heard the stealthy buzz of the hellicarier get louder as it lowered.
Stranger: Natasha looked at him, biting her lower lip in worry. It was a rare habit of the woman's, a sign of worry and sometimes relief although in this situation it wasn't the latter sadly. She looked him over, when you're coughing up blood then you were in critical condition. When they were close enough, Natasha just lifted the broken man and handed him to the medics, her eyes holding immense worry she couldn't hide. "Take care of him." she said to the medics calmly, her eyes looking down at Bruce's own green orbs. It was a difficult sight for the Russian and she has seen far worse, but the fact that she cared so much for the man, seeing him like this hurt her as well. "Their going to take good care of you Bruce," she said, hesitantly taking his hand for a light squeeze. "I'm going to stay out and make sure Ross gets what he deserves."
You: It wasn't as if Bruce could do much in the way of protest, he could only accept getting passed on so easily and give in to the medical staff whisking him off to the ICU. The only thing he was apposed to, however, were Natasha's words of staying behind and looking back he noticed Clint behind her; knowing well enough he would try to talk reason to her. Clint knew Natasha inside and out, they were partners, they had a bond that was so easily misconstrued as a relationship by many since their bond was something strong and unique to them. "Nat, you can't go down there. Ross isn't Banner. Hulk is a beast based on emotion, level with him and there's a slim chance you get out alive. But Ross...look at him, Nat. He's lost it, he's willingly turned himself into one of those monsters and he's out for blood. Out best bet for now is to see to Banner, analyze whatever Ross injected him with and try to replicate it to use of Ross at a later time. I doubt he'll do much of anything in the way of public destruction."
Stranger: Natasha was beyond furious, the rage deep within her eyes. She stopped when she heard Clint try to talk sense to her. She knew logically he was right. Their army could only do so much and Ross couldn't be stopped with mere weapons. Their army couldn't stop Hulk, there was no way in hell they could take down Red Hulk. "It's our job to Avenge and that's what I want to do. Look at what he did to Banner." she said, under her breath. She had none on her, but she was positive that she could find a weapon to take down Ross. Right? There had to be something. It couldn't be impossible. That's all she wanted, she wanted to be apart of what takes down that monster. She sighed though, giving in to Clint's reasoning. "I wonder if there's a way to get the Hulk to come back or if the Hulk is... Gone."
You: "Listen to me, Nat. You're the best at what you do, you can't lose sight of that just because we're down a man. Banner's tough, we've all seen the footage and I know everyone tosses it back and forth if Hulk and him are separate or not but I'm not buying that bullshit. Banner is the Hulk just as much as Hulk is Banner, the only thing that proves that more than anything is Ross being able to talk like he did as a Hulk. The only difference is, Banner seems to dumb down and lets his emotions take over logic; appearing to be something separate as a result." Putting a hand on her shoulder, he squeezed lightly. "He's too stubborn to go down like this and you know it, whatever Ross did to him...the Big Guy will find a way out of it." he was almost certain of it. He failed to believe that after all the missiles, all the war, all the fighting they and the world had done with Hulk that it would be a stupid needle to bring him down for good.
Stranger: Natasha looked at him, looking down at his hand that was on her shoulder. He was right. The Hulk and Bruce weren't separate entities, they were one of the same. She could see Bruce in the Hulk when she looked that chaotic green giant in the eyes and she could see the Hulk in Bruce when he needed to be forceful with Tony or with someone from their ream. Crossing her arms she nodded. "You're absolutely right, a rare accomplishment for you Hawk." she said, looking at him with a smirk paying on her lips. "I do want to get this damn situation handle. Come on Barton. Let's make sure they subdue Ross then see how Banner is doing." she spoke in her professional, emotionless tone as she led the way, her smirk disappearing.
You: "That wont be necessary, Agents Romanoff and Barton." came Fury's voice as he approached them. He knew that from the moment the real threat was revealed to be after one of their on-and-off teammates, they'd want vengeance; but he couldn't allow it this time. "Your orders are to stand down. General Ross has agreed to a surrender, and in the event that his arrest could lead to the outbreak of conflict between the US military and SHIELD, we've determined it best to let him go. We have no way of proving that Ross is the Red Hulk, only that Red Hulk exists. For now, it's best to do damage control, keep it under wraps that a second Hulk exists and make damn sure Ross doesn't lose control of it. Do I make myself clear?" It was with a slightly heavy heart that Clint gave a 'yes sir', hoping Natasha would follow suit for the time being. Their day with Ross would come, but perhaps this day wasn't that day.
Stranger: Natasha hid her emotions well like always, but Fury eventually pushed the already ticking time bomb Russian over the edge. "He critically injured one of our own and we're letting him off scotch free. He could have killed Banner, but were giving him a pass because he's a fucking general." Even the cunning, quiet Widow couldn't hold her sharp tongue. "I suppose that's how the world works no matter what side you're on. Good or evil compromises must be made no matter the cost." she spoke coldly, shutting her eyes. Her mission-fixed mind was starting to recall who she was talking to. "I understand director, my apologizes for the outburst." she said, the solider knowing her place but obviously opposing everything Fury had to say. She turned to the landscape, seeing the Red Hulk make his escape. She watched, analyzing very step that monster made. That monster was going down if it was the last thing she did. "Let go Barton, we need to visit Banner." she said quietly, frustration colored her tone.
You: "You know better than anyone that the world doesn't always play fair, Agent Romanoff. Men and Women are lost every day so all things considered, I say we got off pretty damn lucky to have Banner alive in critical condition. There is a very real threat of having a second monster on the loose, the only consolation prize being that it's in someone like Ross who seems to have a handle of it for the time being. Make no mistake we'll be keeping an eye on him." Fury clarified before he walked away, leaving the two agents to themselves. The surgery took hours. Fragments of his ribs had stabbed into his lung and ruptured his spleen, damage being done to the muscles and innards from blunt trauma. It was nothing short of a miracle that they managed to reconstruct his ribcage and patch up his organs without removing any of them; though there was a tube jutting from between his ribs to release fluid from his lung. Bruce was connected to machines and IV's of all varieties, being monitored carefully and steadily for any signs of complications; both of lethal and green nature.
Stranger: Natasha knew how the world worked. She's known since she was six year old unfair and how cruel the world could be. No, not could be. It was a reality. She thought though since she was with the right side of the whole good vs evil spectrum that things would be more fair, she would see less evil rather than letting one go to do as he will after almost killing her dear companion. She should have known better. Besides she's seen Fury 'compromise' in the past and she has done dirty work for SHIELD, ruthless jobs despite having the title of justice. She went with Clint to visit Bruce, immediately asking the doctor how his condition was. The answer she received was a bittersweet one indeed, he survived something nearly impossible and proved that miracles did exist to a point, but it brought Natasha unmentioned emotional pain to hear the gruesome details of injuries and surgeries. "Only one visitor at a time." The doctor said to the duo before walking off to tend to another patient. Natasha looked at the blonde archer, they both knew who was going in there. In a silently agreement Natasha walked in and found a seat against the wall, looking the beaten man with a sigh.
You: Waking up was painful, as it always was when he returned from being the Hulk. The transformation was taxing on his body each time, sometimes bones were slightly displaced and always his muscles were tense and sore, sometimes bruised. After all, it was his entire biology changing drastically in a matter of seconds and this wasn't magic, it was science. But this time was different, it was painful in a whole different sense and he coughed out a groan as he registered where he was and that his surgery was successful. That in itself was brought on a whole new slew of problems. "N-nat...asha..." he called out as he tried to sit up gingerly to no avail.
Stranger: Natasha stood, walking quickly to his side. "Banner settle down. You're in condition for movements." she said, watching him carefully, her eyes slowly making their way to his face. It made her so overwhelmed with relief that he was awake and moving, though what played on he face was a her small smile and a glimmer in her emerald eyes. "You should get some rest. Stark will be here soon to visit you and you need all your energy for him." she said, her tone soft and tender.
You: As great as it was to hear he'd be seeing one of his closer friends again, there were more immediate problems that needed to be attended to. Carefully he reached up with one hand, putting it on the back of her head and bringing her in close; using her hair to cover his lips to prevent the cameras watching them from picking up his words and speaking as quietly as he could manage. "nn...n'you have to g-get it back...my blood, th-they have my blood--Hulks blood. I-I know these people, Natasha...they'll t-try and use it...weaponize it...m-make more...you have to get it back." that was the problem with military forces. Amidst the haze of bullets and as much as they wanted him dead, they also saw a weapon, an opportunity to have an unstoppable army, immense power...and now that Ross had successfully obtained that power, successfully turned himself into a Hulk whilst keeping his mind in tact...he knew the interest would be bigger than ever.
Stranger: Natasha was surprised by this sudden action, Bruce was never the type for personal interaction. When her face was close and her scarlet red locks blocked his lips she listened to him carefully. She understood what he was saying. SHIELD did things behind their back constantly, the organization's secrets had secrets. Bruce's blood could do much harm in the wrong hands, proven by Thunderbolt Ross and it was no secret that SHIELD was always looking for new weapons. She moved her face closer to his ear, whispering. "You got it. I'll locate and dispose of it properly properly. Nothing like this will happen again Bruce. You have my word." she assured in the whisper, pulling back slightly to look him in the eyes as a sign of truth to her words.
You: He didn't let her go, not yet. "There is no safe way to dispose of it..." he admitted. There was no way of telling that coming in contact with blood alone could cause injury or mutation given its high level of gamma radiation. For all he knew, his blood could act like the AIDS virus and infect a host if they had the smallest nick on their skin. He couldn't take that chance. "F-find it..please...bring it ba-ack to me. It's only sa-afe in me." it was rather grotesque even to him to think that he would have to do an IV of his own blood, or if worse come to worse, possibly even try and swallow it. But the less of it out there the better, no matter what. Slowly he let her go with a quiet "thank you".
Stranger: "Bruce..." she muttered, knowing what he would have to do with his blood. She nodded at his thank you and left after his quiet thank you. After stopping in the training room for her clothing bag she went on her way. She moved to where she knew they kept the blood, the woman working for SHIELD long enough to know every room was. She looked and looked, but Banner's blood wasn't there. "Of course." A switch went off in the spy's head as she went to the top secret room meant for holding weaponry ammo and chemicals for weapons. It was restricted, but Nat knew some secrets on her own and without being noticed type it in. She causally slipped inside, moving as if she was on a mission. The room as kept cold for substances used in weaponry that was under testing. "Oh Banner how right you were." she said, finding the packages of his blood. SHIELD had been planning on using it somehow. She stole the packages, putting them in the bag she was carrying. She made her way back to his room, a smirk on her face as she entered. "I got the outfit you wanted darling. Let's get some privacy in here." she said, moving over to the walking to where the camera was at and switching it off. Whoever was watching would probably get the message that they were doing something more intimate, allowing moments of uninterrupted privacy. She took out four of the five packages of blood, handing it to him. "Hurry Banner, we need to be quick." she said to the man.
You: Nodding, he immediately gathered the vials of his blood on his lap, looking around for any sort of syringe in their general vicinity and found nothing. With how banged up he was it was too risky to compromise the IV bags he was currently hooked up to, not with Hulks regenerative factor held at bay by the suppressant. It was with a very upset stomach that he realized he had to make the best of the time they had, twisting one of the cold vials open and bringing it to his lips. With a deep breath he tossed it back, the blood feeling thick and cold as it slid slowly down in throat and caused him to cringe in disgust; it was awful. Using the bottle of water left for him at the bedside, he carefully rinsed out the vial and drank that as well. Going through them one by one until it was over and he felt like he was going to be sick. "Get...ugh...get gloves, take these vials, sterilize them, destroy them, incinerate them." he instructed, keeping a hand on his stomach as he willed it all to stay down. "and some saltines if its not too much to ask."
Stranger: Natasha wished she could be of assistance, but this stomach turning act was one he had to do solo. She watched without blinking an eye as he finished up the job. "You got it Doctor." she said, taking gloves from the counter and taking the vials from him. "I'll burn the bag afterwards as well." she said, taking off the gloves momentarily after they were safely packed. She went back to the camera, flipping it on reluctantly and left. She did as she was told with one exception, she kept one vial. She only did this for one reason, to find reversal for Ross so he could be shot in the head with her gun. She put the gloves back on and careful burned everything, including the gloves and her bag. After an hour or so she returned, having the material burned and taking a shower. "I think you deserve this." she said, handing him a package of crackers.
You: Smiling, he took the crackers from her, hoping that they would help the immense nausea churning his stomach. "I'm gone for one week and you're all off playing house. Isn't that...touching." came Tony's mildly sarcastic voice, standing by the bed side and taking off his sunglasses. "Agent Romanoff." he greeted mildly stoic, the two of them having a bizarre relationship all their own and while Tony knew that Natasha had a soft spot for him...it did little to help him get over the infiltration of Stark Industries. "Apparently this game of house hasn't been the most domestic...you look like you've seen better days, Bruce." "I've seen worse." Bruce chuckled quietly, munching on his first cracker. "Yes, well, soon you'll at least be at a better venue; the best venue actually. Stark Towers medical wing because quite frankly...having you here is making my skin crawl and I can only imagine how Jolly Green is feeling under there." he commented as he checked the IV and machines idly, "and before you say anything, Stark Tower has its own medical floor as per my convenience. One that I'm proud to say would bring some hospitals to tears. Not up for debate."
Stranger: Natasha looked at him with a look of slight annoyance. He hasn't said much yet, but she knew Tony would find a way to annoy her. "Stark." she said in response to his greet. "I wouldn't call what we're playing house. From my understanding that's what you and Pepper have been doing." she said back with a smirk playing on her lips. Her and the CEO were friends and the copper-colored haired girlfriend of the man in iron had told her about Tony's engagement to her. "Congratulations. Pepper can make a honest man out of you," she stated with a smile, her eyes settling on Bruce. "I agree with Stark, I don't like you here either. SHIELD could try to pull something and I won't have it. You'll be happier over there at Stark's anyway, you'll be closer to the science." she said with a chuckle, putting her hands in the pocket of her jacket.
You: "Closer to the science...I don't think I've ever heard such an awesomely crude statement since I last talked to Barton." he said nonchalantly, unintentionally doing the same motion as Natasha and stuffing his hands in his pockets. "And don't worry Ms. Romanoff, your invitation will be up here soon enough...as much as I thoroughly believe you'll try to poison my drink or bug the wedding presents, Pepper sees it differently." Bruce worked on his second cracker, listening to them go back and forth like he was watching TV. TV had been a luxury he'd been without for years as he was on the run, but with people like Tony and Natasha around...who needed it? In some weird way, he could see the similarities between the two of them, if nothing else just for how thick headed they were and that they always tried to prove they didn't care at all when in fact they cared too much. Of course he had no objections to going to Stark Tower---well he had some, but if he had to be stuck in a hospital bed while the Hulk recovered, he'd much rather be incapacitated somewhere safe than on board a ship with a shifty organization like SHIELD.
Stranger: "Awesomely crude huh? I highly doubt awesomely is a word." she said sharply, moving her green eyes upward in a rolling manner. "I already got my invitation. I'm the maid of honor Stark. I get a speech and everything. It mostly going to be about Pepper though since you're an narcissistic asshole." she said, her smirk shifting to a grin. She had this banter with him, but deep down she did care about the former womanizer. "I'm going to check up on Ross, see if there are any updates in this or if there is anything I could do. Stark you need to sign some papers for you to take Banner out of here." she said to the genius playboy, glancing over at Banner. "You need some rest after everything you've been through today." she said to him flatly.
You: "Awesomely, descriptive verb. A word describing the action of something performing in an awesome manner." he corrected before cringing, the news of her being a maid of honor horrified him to his core. "You know, you'd think the whole 'narcissistic' deal would die down after I....gee what was it that I did? Oh right, go on a suicidal mission to carry a nuke across the galaxy, which resulted in my plummeting to my near death---thanks again for the catch by the way." he aimed that last part to Bruce respectively. "Your efforts were almost in vain after Pepper got her hands on me, but I digress, it's appreciated all the same." Bruce could only imagine the damage Pepper did to him once he was back home safe and sound the euphoria of the world living to turn another day died down. Pepper was a firecracker, not someone you'd want to make angry in a thousand years. "I'll get right on that, just...try not to kill each other." he commented as he watched Tony and Natasha walk away, remaining out of each others reach as they walked together.
Stranger: Natasha walked out with Stark, looking at him once they were out of the door. "You know I was joking. I know you aren't as narcissistic as you once were." she said him with a genuine smile. "I would say one of my happiest moments in life was when Hulk scared the life back into you." she said, knowing the former playboy would understand where she was going at with her dialogue. "When you sign the papers get him the hell out of here. I don't trust anyone in this damn place." With that she left to see where the "Rulk' was, being that they were keeping an eye on the monster. She walked passed a few guards that were muttering how Banner's blood was stolen when they were suppose to be watching it. Well they were few worthless guards about to be on the chopping block for their mistake. She went to where Clint was located, the woman looking at her best friend. "Where's Ross now?" she asked Clint, hoping he has kept up with what was going on.
You: The genuine statement made Tony swallow borderline nervously, "Yes, well...as this little nightlight in my chest proves it takes more than a bomb to kill me. That little report of yours was wrong, I have a super hero power beyond my brain; the amazing ability to survive bomb blasts." he joked. He might have changed slowly for the better, but emotional availability was still at the top of the list for things that made him uncomfortable. Trailing behind Natasha, he heard everything the guards had said and greeted Barton again rather stoically before he corrected Natasha. "All the forms are taken care of, why do you think it took me so long to get here? All I need now is someone liscensed to fly him over to Stark Towers, I.E. one of you two. Also, missing blood? You're getting sloppy, Agent Romanoff. Replace it with a normal persons blood, they'll be too happy that their assess are saved to know the difference."
