How our ESSAs help us!

🌱 But what is an ESSA?

ESSA stands for Emotional Support Stuffed Animal and is a plushie who emotionally helps its owner. We currently own 2 ESSAs: Daniel and Sally and we are planning to buy a third one. Here's a list of things that our ESSAs help us with!

🌱Stressful and difficult situations

When any of us get in a difficult situation, like an argument, we hug and "interact" with our ESSA. It makes our mood better and makes us feel like we're not alone in this situation. Like there actually is someone for us.

🌱 Great companion

We often bring our ESSA on trips or walks as a companion. It makes us somehow feel better and again - not alone. We also bring them om our therapy sessions.

🌱 Great activity for DeadFox

DeadFox is a headmate that needs to be constantly taken care of, and the caretaker is me :)

Recently, we involved Fox into training our ESSA tricks (yes, that's possible! You just need a leash!) and they really like it! It definitely encourages Fox to go outside, as we set up an obstacle course near our house. I'm super proud of Fox, they're very good at teaching our ESSA tricks 💚💚

🌱 Roleplay

We like roleplaying with our ESSAs. Alex made a bowl and fake food for them, as well as set up a little plushie corner. It's our way of escaping the "real" problems.

🌱 Joy and creativity

Fun fact: most of our ESSAs' gear is handmade, aka a DIY! Mostly made by Alex. Dressing them up, making gear and imagining stories simply brings us joy.

Yip, ma slime girl oc. Probably the most redesigned character sheet ever... Slime girl? Slime? Idk what to call em tbhonest.

Also "effeminate" because it's not exactly supposed to be "male being feminine" but rather just, a voice which is both male AND female. Yeah? Make sense? Yes? Great. I'm glad both of us are on the same page. (Hopefully)

Old designs:

This one above is probably my favourite in terms of just. originality. The dragon is also a concept that they have a dragon form. Currently scrapped because I have an actual dragon/human shapeshifter oc now! I also kinda like the drippy slime and core concept I did on the topmost one.. might consider keeping that.
