Inhale
I don’t wanna rewrite Mida and I’d rather remove her. But I can’t as that would defeat the purpose of rewriting YanSim
So my focus is shifting onto Akademi itself. Mina will come later.
The Problem:
Ambiguous school. For the longest time Akademi has been a high school and the teacher voice lines refer to it as “Akademi High”. However in 1980s mode, a newspaper says it was created as a post secondary education program built to look like a high school for Ichiko Saikou
The solution:
Change Akademi uniforms to look less high school
Make Akademi more college than high school
The character ages. Oh God the character ages need to change or have a clear vision on who’s what age
Now, unlike the last post, I’m not gonna write a story for this because I tried and failed. But that doesn’t mean I cant give you the idea:
This link leads to a video about Joaquito’s new school build they’re conceptualizing. I originally saw their video on a school builder mod for YanSim but it’s not out yet. As much as I enjoy the build for current YanSim, it doesnt make much sense for being an “elite school”
With Akedemi being a post-secondary school, I feel like getting the ages in order would be good. Since there’s 3 years but 6 classroom, I feel like it would be best to split it up into 6 age groups:
Class 1-1: 18-19 (essentially first year college students who are fresh out of highschool)
Class 1-2: 19-20 (still first years but probably took a year or two off of school)
Class 2-1: 20-21
Class 2-2: 21-22
Class 3-1: 22-23
Class 3-2: 23-25 (depending on the degree, age, and time arriving to college, most people by the time they graduate are 25)
I feel like these ages make sense when it comes to the setting
When it comes to the uniforms, I don’t feel like they make much sense. A lot Japanese colleges and universities do not require uniforms. But, to still include the uniform aspect, they will be used for ceremonial events instead (graduation, orientation, the memorials, etc.). Since they’ll be used for events, I went for a more formal look.
I (and a lot of others) never understood the use of the faculty card when it comes to YanSim as everyone is “Over 18” in the OG game. Now I don’t want to get rid of the entirely, but I do feel they can still be useful. Let’s say there’s a locked room that requires a keycard. The faculty card can be used for this task to unlock new items or even open the box that’s in the teacher’s lounge. I understand why that box exists, however it doesn’t make sense for it to be unlocked when a weapon gets taken away.
Anyways, that’s all I got! I’m always open to ideas or suggestions from you guys :) Also Im sorry it’s been a while, college has been kicking my ass
Anyways stay healthy and much love!! <3

Yan sim rewrite !!
Part 2: Taro Yamada
Or…Taro Kurosu!
Design compared to original:

Name meaning: I decided to keep his name Taro as it fits him, meaning eldest son(get it cause he’s the older sister of Hanako hahahaha very funny). But I changed his last name to Kurosu. His last name in Kanji is 黒須.
黒 meaning black, 須 meaning ought, by all means, necessarily. Get it cause he’s important to the game- I’ll stop.
Character description:
Taro has grown up in a calm and average life. Respecting his parents dearly and treating his little sister well! He doesn't realise his popularity in Akademi high as he is usually reading one of his favourite books while sitting on the fountain. He’s so mysterious and that may seem attractive to some, well to 7 girls at least(3 who don’t romantically love him but can be a threat to a romantic relationship if he was to pursue one). Although he seems completely oblivious to this as he hasn’t taken notice to much of the girls about their attraction. Although is there more to him than just ‘hot mysterious bookworm’?
My reasons:
This guy needed a lot of fixing and I’m sure the fandom can agree with that. How can ten girls be so in love with him when he’s so BORING? eleven if you count Haruka lmao). Well I’ll admit, his whole thing is kinda a gag but I made him canonically very attractive. That way it will make more sense for so many girls to be interested in him. Although I do imagine him being quite shy and awkward with those around him since…teenagers(they are actually teenagers in this). His whole facade to people who haven’t talked to him is ‘wow! He’s so cold and mysterious! Not even bothering to talk to people around him’. But actually he’s just shy and likes book more than people.
How will his relationship be with Ayano?
Whatever the player decides, think of this as a dating sim/killing game. You can get to know Senpai every day of the school week instead of creepily following him around then make improvements to know him. Every morning you go through an interaction with him depending on your relationship as he is the guy that checks everyone’s uniforms! He has beef with Musume and her group and the occult club because of this but not like actual hate. If you two are on good terms you might be able to break the dress code a bit(helping you hide more weapons and items if needed). And also it will improve his attraction with you of course. If you have a bad relationship with him however like doing suspicious things and ruining your reputation he’ll be more cold to you and more stricter, not being as interested in you. So make sure to keep you reputation and or not be a creep!

A Deep Dive into Some Deep Thoughts
A Deep Dive into Some Deep Thoughts
In preparation for sharing this post with you, I read an abundance of powerful quotes, interpreted, researched, and included ways to implement their value into your life, or at least that was my intent. It is my hope that you are able to draw your own interpretations and meaning, and most importantly, apply what serves you to improve your mindset, your circumstances, and the quality of your life.
“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” – Thomas A. Edison
Interpretation: It is quite easy to quit once resistance or obstacles present themselves, and move on to another endeavor, to most assuredly repeat the same process. Think about how different your life would be if you gave up when things got hard. If you are blessed with the ability to walk, I can assure you that you did not accomplish that on your first try. You are reading or listening to this post right now, which means you endured the undoubtedly challenging process of learning a language. Sure, you might take for granted talking and walking, but what if you applied the same tenacity to learning and mastering anything you choose to spend your time doing?
Implementation: Go into any experience, with the mindset that you are ready to learn, ready to fail, and most importantly, ready to move forwards and keep trying no matter what you face. Anything less than your best effort, is a squandering of your time, and time is your most valuable resource in life. If you are going to do something, do it well and with a sense of pride, no matter how small or big the task is.
Deeper Dive: Check out the article below to see how individuals like Thomas Edison embodied the power of second chances, and an unquenchable desire to succeed. How different our world would be if Thomas Edison gave up on his ambitions and ideas?
12 Successful People Who Faced Extreme Hardship But Never Gave Up
_________________________________________________________________
"It is far better to be alone than in bad company." George Washington
Interpretation: The people you choose to surround yourself with, greatly determine the quality and direction of your life. Choose wisely, and learn when it is best to disengage, and walk your own path. There is a powerful sense of peace that comes with enjoying your own company. Once you are able to do so, you will not seek validation or approval from others, and will appreciate your time with those who actually deserve it.
Implementation: Think about the relationships in your life, especially the ones you have chosen to invest your time and heart into. Do they reciprocate your efforts within the relationship? Do they inspire you to grow? Do they bring peace and comfort into your life? Does the relationship consistently provide a meaningful and mutually positive experience for both sides? Take the time to ask yourself these questions and evaluate who you spend your time with accordingly.

"The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change: the realist adjusts the sails." William Arthur Ward
Interpretation: Think about the last time you complained about something. While spending your time and energy on complaining, did a solution emerge? It is far more likely that clarity came when you decided to stop complaining and began thinking about a solution or reframed your perspective on the situation. The pessimist has a negative, fixed mindset regarding the wind which serves little purpose. The optimist's perspective, although positive, lacks action which will often not get them to where they aspire to be. The realist evaluates the situation, identifies what they can control, and adjusts their actions accordingly.
Implementation: Next time you are faced with a challenge, or uncomfortable situation, remember that wasting your time and thoughts on playing victim, or complaining about the circumstances, will not get you very far. Instead, believe there is a solution that you simply have not found yet, and focus on your energy on determining a first, logical, step you can take to improve your situation.
Deeper Dive: Check out the article below for interesting insight on pessimism, optimism, realism, and the importance of a balanced mindset in life.

_________________________________________________________________
"Don't be distracted by criticism. Remember, the only taste of success some people get is to take a bite out of you." Zig Zagler
Interpretation: Do not let other people's opinions of you determine your sense of personal value or impede your path to success. As part of my journey to becoming a life coach, I have posted my work on social media, knowing that I am opening myself up to potential criticism. Unsurprisingly, I have received some negative comments that provide no value or constructive feedback, and were written to just take away from what I am trying to accomplish. I paid them little thought and kept moving forwards. To clarify, you should be open to feedback as that will help you to make progress and refine your product, but you should evaluate the source and intent behind such input. The moment you stop trying to impress others and act out of a need of validation and approval; is the moment you learn that true strength and growth comes from within.
Implementation: Surround yourself with people you trust, you respect, and who will help you to learn and grow. Disregard intentionally harmful criticism and a need for validation, do your best to be your best, and be open minded to who and what you can learn from to assist with this process. Do not let negative people, or circumstances, keep you from getting to where you want to be.
Deeper Dive: You cannot avoid criticism, but you can learn to handle it in a positive and productive way. Check out the article below to do just that.

_________________________________________________________________
"It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." J.K. Rowling
Interpretation: Life is full of so many different things that are out of our control, however, it is what we choose to do with what we do have control over, that ultimately determines our quality of life. When you choose to continuously seek knowledge and ability, through education, practice, and experience, you are making an investment in yourself that can only help your cause. It is the hard working and resilient individuals that often find success over the naturally gifted. You are not determined by your current abilities and circumstances; you are determined by the decisions you make to change them. Remember that.
Implementation: Your thoughts determine your emotions, and consequently, the actions you ultimately choose to take. The key to changing your life, is changing your thoughts. Learn to think rationally and make sound decisions and choices that are most likely to result in positive change in your life.
Deeper Dive: Check out the article below to see how even the smallest, seemingly insignificant choices, and have a profound effect on your life.

Alright. I feel like the first order of business for rewriting is the Aishi curse. The curse is the main reason why the plot is where it’s at, so I feel like getting it out of the way will set up the rest of what I have planned.
Currently, the Aishi curse is:
A curse that started with the first Aishi (reason for how it came about unknown)
The main reason why Ayano is a yandere currently
A curse that gets weaker with every generation (restarted with Ayano for unknown reasons)
What I want to change about the Aishi curse:
The reason why it exists
How it came about
With that being said, let me tell the story
The first Aishi had loved a man in her village for a while. He was smart, handsome, and a warrior in training. He was everything the village needed for a future leader. But other girls wanted him and she couldn’t let that happen.
So, the first Aishi went to the village witch, an elder woman who had been cast out due to her crazy ramblings and unethical behavior. She asked for help, begged the witch to create something, anything that would help the Aishi get the love of her life to herself.
The witch agreed, but for a price. She would create a potion for the Aishi, causing her love to be with her, but every Aishi born afterward would have a curse. Every Aishi born would suffer and be emotionless until they find their one true love.
So, in a fit of desperation, the first Aishi agreed, as long as she got her love she would do anything it took. She claimed her love for herself, not once feeling bad about her future generations and how they would suffer from that day forward.

Welcome to Rewriting YanSim
My name is Auggie and my task is to rewrite the lore and plot of Yandere Simulator.
My goals for this rewrite are:
Keep the names and personalities of preexisting characters
Remove or add lore in a way that makes sense
Taking in the consideration of fans and how they feel the lore can improve
Keep some of the original ideas in the lore
With all this in mind, I hope to create a version of YanSim that is consistent and stable enough that it’s not all over the place. This blog is not a development blog where I’m coding a whole new game. It is only for ideas to improve the game and its lore.
Thank you and I hope to see you all.

*hums in thought* I like Osana. I don’t like Osana’s personality.
In the wise words of someone (i lowkey dont remember who) “Yandere Simulator is a white guy’s version of what he thinks Japan is like”
So yeah, I’d like the keep Osana’s “tsundere” archetype, but tone it down since she is supposed to be the childhood bestfriend of Taro
we can see that she can indeed be kind, and she clearly has a type as seen in game with her second conversation with Raibaru about what she likes in guys
i think it’d make sense for Osana to still have a crush on Taro, but make it as if it’s nothing more than just puppy love. this way, if the matchmaker route is chosen, she can actually fall in love rather than pining over her childhood bestfriend
if not the matchmaker route, then Osana probably wouldnt confess. i know this defeats the purpose of “you have until friday 6:59 to eliminate your rival” but it’d make sense if there was a different route rather than sabotaging her attempts to get closer. perhaps the player would help Osana like the befriend/betray but help her understand that her feelings for Taro are platonic
idk these are just thoughts. also sorry for not posting for a while, just got a new job recently. i also write these things on a whim and when im motivated so if you have any ideas, feel free to pitch in. i do think the submission and ask box are open, but if not lmk

Im currently rewriting Osana but i want to go over how the rivals are introduced since i think their introductions or reasons why theyre gone in game until introduction is batshit insane
Osana is thankfully the first rival of the game so she’s there right off the bat, but her introduction and tsundere stereotype is what throws me off. I think it’d be nice if before the game starts (during what is the intro cutscene), we see how Taro and Osana interact a little more. Each rival introduction so far has a cutscene besides Osana’s since she is the first one. So I think adding a small cutscene of them meeting up the weekend before the first week and talking would be nice.
The rest of the rivals are seemingly to be introduced in their respective weeks, and while good, isn’t necessarily in my eyes. So I think besides Muja, Mida, Hanako, and Megami, all rivals will be in school until their week for elimination comes. I think doing this is better than them being absent for “mysterious” reasons. I think Osoro can be gone due to being suspended, but thats up to you. If the rivals are in school, they have time to notice Taro in a natural way and get to know him beforehand. The weekend cutscenes can still exist but with different dialogue since they’ll know him or of him.
Muja is a nurse-in-training, which means she’ll be about the same age as Akademi students, during her week she’ll have less time to actually know Taro but this can remedied that she has a more admiration for him than love.
Mida… Mida is a sub for Taro’s class during her week and since she’s supposed to have a “sultry” personality theres not much I can do without breaking my goal in my pinned post. All I can say is that know I put set ages in this rewrite to be adults, she wont be a straight up pedophile, as the OFFICIAL character page for yansim says “…Nothing she enjoys more than having dozens of eyes on her… especially if those eyes belong to teenage boys.” Fuck you YanDev 🖕
Hanako’s week is basically her coming to study at Akademi since she thinks Taro is leaving her behind. I dont really think it makes sense since she’s supposed to be a middle schooler. Itd probably be better for her to meet Taro before and after school and during lunch to spend time with him. This way shes not a 11-14 old in a college.
Since Megami is a Saikou, her being gone makes sense since it isnt necessary for her to be there as she probably has more education than anyone at Akademi. But, like in 1980s mode with the final rival, Megami can come to school to investigate the previous rivals deaths (if any happen since YanDev implied that 2020s wont have a “canon” ending) or just to watch Ayano and make sure nothing happens like it did in the 1980s. It can be possible that her father sent her there or she made a deal with the journalist to find dirt on Ryoba and prove that the murders she committed happened.
anyways thats all i got
