I felt defeated yesterday, but feel more energy than ever today after doing stuff like this.

A little introduction where Raphael may be the saviour of Tav‘s life.

The nights were colder and everyone in the group started to lose their spark. This one spark which made this nomad group who they were. Since her death, each one of the members felt their source of energy extinguished. Performances have not been the same without their leader guiding them. She did it with such passion and love, in a way where she pushed all of them upwards. Made them the performers they are now. He, who took her place, is the complete opposite. Instead of motivating them like she did, he has made them suffer. Called himself the Grand Director. He especially had an eye on the groups main act. You. Months of pure exhaustion, manipulation and violence felt like knives stabbing into you and your found family’s backs. To keep him pleased, you always stepped in front, catching the blows.

That’s how you ended up on your bedroll. Staring at the pure nothingness of the night. Different parts of your body started to feel numb, like they’re falling asleep. Slow breaths made your chest rise up and down. The only thing your body was moving. You couldn’t feel anything after what he did to you. The only things you could recall were punches, the gross words, this quenching feeling of hopelessness. And while your head was recalling every detail of what he inflicted on you, your eyes slowly closed. The darker your sight grew, the slower your breath got. Until you saw only one last light. Then your heart stopped pumping the blood to keep your lungs working. Darkness.

A big breath overcame you in an instant. Your back straightened, your eyes widened. Your eyes registered a tall figure standing a few feet away from you. The figure made a quick move with its hand and a flowing paper appeared. Flowing towards you, burning inscriptions on the paper granted you a little light in the night. As the paper and a quill stopped right inside your reach, your brain connected the dots. The devil who has visited you in the past gave you another chance. You have denied him multiple times before but what other choice have you got now? Death.

Your weak hand hesitantly grabbed the quill and with all strength left, you signed the bottom of the paper.

The contract vanquished along with the quill and the devil stepped closer. „Rest now, little mouse.��� Was the last thing you heard before darkness surrounded you again and sleep overcame you.
