Some headcanons of TADC with Ragatha & Caine maybe Pomni? (Won’t ask as a requirement, you do enough amazing writing as is)

Got this idea after reading your Caine & Dev reader ask, how would the characters react to the reader being a hacker that, well, hacked into the circus but got trapped and memory wiped like everyone else, and had (most) of their “power” taken away due to Caine’s Admin Privileges. However they can still spawn things and no-clip fly around if they are so inclined.

Thank you! I've always gone with the "let's see what happens" approach when it comes to redesigns and use the canon aesthetic / character vibe as a starting point. I think I just draw what I personally want to see and what shapes I think would be fun. I just do this as a hobby, not professionally, so the only person I have to please is me lol

hi, I’m nagi (@miss-naginata), whom like five people total may know as naginata_gay_edition on the Archive of Our Own. simply put, polydokis has been on my mind recently. I haven’t had much energy for actual, proper writing even as the blorbos embed themselves into each ridge and crevice of my brain, and my solution appears to be this. I hope you have fun.

This polycule consists of all four girls plus a transfem MC. in here you’ll be seeing little dialogue bits, maybe a ficlet or two, and some occasional lore dumps extracted fresh from my friends’ DMs after I yap at them for long enough.

General Stuff

This AU takes place a good few years after the Literature Club happened (with some major alterations on that). In a sense, this whole thing is basically an alternate timeline to a fic I own - Of Wounds That Mend - and which I have not yet finished at all. Does this count as spoilers? I really hope not.

Everyone is in their twenties, are working jobs (except for one) and are all living an overall pretty normal life. They all have their complexes, occasional issues, but they love each other very much mwah mwah mwah

Monika

Monika works as an analytical chemist and part time girlfriend of five. Work is something that can be stressful (nevermind the work it took to get there), but her occupation is the one which brings the most income and she finds comfort in the fact that she’s dependable. She can be emotionally stunted and is prone to overworking, which has produced a kind of “girl who should be taken care of” title from her lovers. She learns to accept this and becomes all too willing to dive into someone’s arms the moment she gets home. At times she feels some guilt for accepting so much love and care, and it takes much elbow grease for her to realize she does deserve this, not for being the primary breadwinner, but because she’s loved and that’s all there is to it.

Sayori

Sayori is unemployed and, thanks to her self worth issues, feels very guilty for this, often attempting to “compensate” by doing work around the house (to Natsuki’s dismay, she really wants to help with cooking). She has the issue of being somewhat of a people pleaser, which takes some time to iron out as she accepts that she, too, is deserving of things she wants and needs. She’s treated as the oracle of love and affection in the polycule, not because everyone is bad at it in comparison, but because she has an Energy™ that draws everyone in for cuddles and head-scritches.

Natsuki

Natsuki works in a coffee shop with one of her girlfriends. She can be blunt and sassy and has a deep-knit urge to subvert her own feelings, but she’s very intimate and loving when given space. She once possessed a passion for writing that she eventually let go of throughout the years; this was soon reignited by two of her lovers’ shared enjoyment of the art. She enjoys getting into teasing fights with her girlfriends and play-wrestling with some (which, more often than not, ends in a ferocious make-out).

Yuri

Yuri is a trans woman who works entirely at home. She owns a literature critique YouTube channel with a microcelebrity following, but most of her income comes from her part-time job as a writer – every few months when a publisher wants her to work on a book. It is commonly hellish, but she, allegedly, does not regret turning her hobby into a career. Single copies of her books are in her bedroom, and they all have little notes from her lovers, ranging from “I’m so proud of you, love” to “missing hyphen.” She has a habit of being overly meek with her girlfriends, which is spawned from her reluctance to be forward with cisgender women due to internalized dysphoria and from the fact that she is the most recent addition to the polycule – in fact, the only one they didn’t meet in high school. It is, to them, very fun to fluster her and attempt to crack her shell.

Mabel

Mabel is also a trans woman. As implied before, she works a job at a coffee shop with one of her girlfriends, Natsuki. Unlike Yuri, she has not made a career out of writing, but she does do it recreationally. She once was extremely afraid of affection, but after years of prodding from her lovers she has grown to be very mushy with her fellow girls. She and Sayori have a strong bond that the rest of the polycule sometimes admires, sometimes feels jealous of, spawned from the sheer amount of time they’ve known each other for (almost their entire lives), and this is not helped by Sayori’s insistence on making jokes about having dibs on Mabel – and further not helped by Mabel’s insistence on being flustered by this behaviour.

*Mabel is a character originating from one of my fics and I have secretly spent the last few months being unhinged about her.

Hi, the brainworms continue to feast on the ETS Polycule so here's more headcanons for James/Spouse/Asset! (Names pending okay /lh)

James offers to bring Asset home with him post-project after running it by his partner and seeing that the alternatives for who or where Asset went were slim. Maybe James suspects that being near him and his Spouse could help Asset learn more about human experience, kindness, affection, etc. since they didn't have much time for that during the project, but fairly early on James and his Spouse develop a fondness for Asset (which is reciprocated)

I like the idea that Spouse is science-y as well? Just not DUMP affiliated at all. So Asset is a welcome and fascinating addition to the home. James has to hold them back some from overwhelming Asset, but they strike me as a quietly curious domestic dynamic. James free from DUMP work allows him to unwind and support for a change and Asset provides them a chance to introduce/teach them about new things

Asset has weekly required shutdown times that mimic them needing "sleep", but even without needing to sleep usually, they enjoy cuddling a lot because it feels like enough of an action/task to not make them feel restless. (Both them and James are working on being content being idle /lh)

I think it'd be fun if they can still be seen as robotic when they need touch ups under their face plate, for example. Or need to get a tune up so you open up their stomach and fiddle with their wires, so on.

James and Spouse try to include Asset in as many household tasks as they can at first to make them feel included in general and then see what Asset takes a liking to and go from there. I think it'd be similar to like "I'm a vamp but I can drink blood while you eat your sandwich"

Spouse up at 1 am, legal pad and pen in hand as they lovingly interrogate their robot partner until James comes up and plucks the pen from their hand, dragging them both to sleep

Asset, week by week, finding a new hobby/interest to try with James and/or Spouse, fascinated by the world of possibility in front of them not that they're out of Project Meridian

Spawned on by @nortyourself and @sincerelywhistler I think, James with a prosthetic leg and Asset finding out for the first time once they've been brought home. Watching Spouse help tune it up with wide quiet eyes, feeling closer to them than they have with previous humans

Both Pix's past and The Ocean Wars (and the mortal political ongoings that lead to a bunch of near-simultaneous assassinations) will be covered in main arc fics and backstory oneshots. Pix, in the space of his original mortal lifetime, got to live through several world-changing events at much closer range than he really would have liked. The kinds of events that get remembered as legends and myths in only a couple of generations. As for why it happened...The world changes sometimes. People change. Sometimes gods change, sometimes they break.

| Blurr has a tendency to talk and move fast. It may be hard to keep up with him but that energy is infectious. It cares deeply for its sysmates and considers them its crew/team. Bots rebellious though and won't listen unless bot want too.

Xe usually fronts to gather information or energy for xis system. He gets hyperfixated rather easily because of them. It'll also front during extended periods of travel.

Bots section of the headspace is probably a race track. Xe tries to make another race xim, but almost always seems to win. He doesn’t stick around one place too long though so it may be hard to find him sometimes.

I'm a little more familiar with Cellbit's character than Bagi's, so probably have more headcanons about him. I am actively trying to get more unhinged about Bagi because she is so cool and everyone should tell me their Bagi headcanons

Bagi headcanons/opinions:

She should be transfem. as a treat. her being transfem lets me make the twins identical, and anything that makes it more obvious how related they are makes them funnier

Her being transfem also adds fun layers to her relationship with Tina, as Tina is a demon pretending to be human. All I'm saying is you could do some fun parallels and contrasts about presentation and the self

Also if you make her and Jaiden and Baghera all transfem, you get the fun fed-sisters-plus transfem solidarity that exists only in my head

She can only barely cook. She never learned as a kid and then got fucking frozen, and she's tried to learn as an adult but it's not going well

When she thinks about raising Empanada, she gets kinda caught between wanting to pass on the pacifist, live-and-let-live mentality that she pretends to have and the more defensive/aggressive ideas she actually has. She does like the idea of pacifism and doesn't want Empanada to grow up bitter, but... peace isn't what's kept her safe and alive

Empanada's first death resolved a lot of those conflicts. A kinder world isn't coming, so she has to raise a fighter

Her "pretending to be an ethical vegetarian" thing is hilarious to me. girl you aren't pretending to be a vegetarian you just are one. you can lie about your reasons but girl. you don't eat meat

Cellbit headcanons/opinions:

He can't cook even a little bit. Federation pet -> child soldier -> jail-> struggling adult? yeah he never fucking learned to cook

Relatedly I think he's a picky eater but has weird tastes. Like i think he eats instant microwave/just add water foods raw and likes it because he learned to eat it like that at some point, but can't stand a lot of "real food" because he just never got used to it (this is partly based on me lsjkhd)

He owns a butterfly knife and he's good with it. He picked it up as a hobby after Fuga when he was in therapy because he needed something to fill his time and it was a socially acceptable way to carry a knife. He can do all kinds of tricks now

Just pre-purgatory (and probably still now tbh) sometimes the butterfly knife suddenly reminds him too much of a real knife or triggers some kind of intrusive thought that scares him. His reaction to this is to just let go of the knife midair. He's very lucky no one's gotten hurt yet

He 100% remembers more of his childhood with Bagi than he admits. He pretends he doesn't because even acknowledging that he was a child once undermines his image of himself as a monster (upsetting, unhealthy self-image, sure, but one that's kept him safe. monsters aren't afraid of anything. monsters can't be hurt. children, though?)

As much as I understand and will read about autistic!Cellbit headcanons, I don't agree (i am autistic, for the record). He's actually really good with social cues, like scary good, and obviously has really strong theory of mind. Like I get where people are coming from but we need to defend an allistic guy's right to just be a fucking freak (/lh /nm)

I want to call Cellbit and Baghera "hunters" instead of "chainsaw killers." again I get where people are coming from. it's funny and I'll use it. however hunters would go so hard. same genre as codebreakers and bloodhounds. do you see my vision

Whos the most underrated villain in wordgirl amd why is it Granny May?

As the resident Granny May defender, I shall say why. But first, I will admit to why some don't like her or her episodes. If you don't like, "Everyone turns on protagonist because of one individual obviously lying" or "Antagonist getting away with scamming but in a super obvious way" plot lines then yeah I don't fault anyone for not liking Grandolyn. Since those kinds of stories can easily get under people's skin, especially when you experienced something similar to Wordgirl in these. And out of the villain's Granny is like the most mentally ruthless next to probably Miss Power jgjfbjvjg, so I can see why some don't jell with her, BUT HEY, if people can accept Miss Power bullying a ten-year-old then they can accept Granny doing it everyday with back breaking affect/lh

Granny is funny too,,,I don't know if it's because I like old mean characters (not in real life, fuck that), or because of Cree's performance, but she's funny. Honestly, it's a hustle to constantly fake being a helpless lady and also take on a superhero. Like I respect her, idk why, but I do. Sure, she gaslights and unfairly tries to cancel a child, but like if I was her age and lived in the world's most gullible city, then yeah, why not.

I think another thing that is fascinating about her (because I do analysis on her) is that she is definitely in the villain game for fun and has probably done it for years. Compared to others who do it for either having notoriety, getting respect, or valuables. Granny does it because she loves the thrill of it. She is technically living a conformable life, and let's not forget she has a whole ass family who are respectable citizens with her mother kind of being loaded, so she has no reason to do it besides it's fun. Though I guess another thing that interests me is her relationship with her family, as we know in her first appearance, she's tried to use her own grandson as a henchman and then not again. We know she has other kids than Eugene's dad, and it makes me wonder what is there relationship to her and, in general, her family. Besides Eugene, who is never seen around Granny May again in the show proper (that's so funny like tf), I don't think it's all good. Granny uses photos and excuses of people looking at her big family as a trick, as if she's close and adores them, but she's crimepilled and probably her more normal family don't approve of her villain status. So either their a strained family and Granny is coping real hard not being the matriarch anymore, or they're okay with it, and Granny May is just known as "Grandma who steals"

Regardless, despite that being a headcanon, it makes her character very fun to dissect. Does Granny really love the fun of being a criminal more than her own family she made? Or does she want to appear like a good granny to her family, but her hobbies have let them in shunning her since she uses them in her schemes and they don't want to be associated in that life.

We know Granny has had a villainous mindset since she was young, I could only imagine for the May kids to have their mom being a thief since she's pretty boastful about it, lucky they live in Fair City where people have a memory of a goldfish.

Another for why I like her, as I mentioned somewhere idk or maybe it was on discord...Eh I can't remember. Anyway, it's because when she's on screen, she helps elevate a very unique Wordgirl/Becky. Like say what you will on Becky's contempent for her villains, I think straight up, she dislikes Granny May. They're so petty with each other, and I think it what makes it so much funnier. Not to mention, they're kinda similar in attitude, at least when it comes to theit drive and stubbornness. Granny May probably sucks as a parental or maternal figure so much that she doesn't even have moments with Wordgirl that could be found family-esc. Or maybe idk they could. Granny May is no different than the average overcritical gaslighting brash grandmother....nevermind she would be the ideal grandmother to Wordgirl. /jjj

Idk I just like Granny May. Most don't get it, and that's fine. More for me to headcanon and write.

I didn’t play the story mode of the update with Green Tea Mousse bc I was honestly not really interested tbh? I didn’t find the triple cone cup that interesting either tbh, nor the characters /lh

but i don’t think creme brulee was in that update..? is there something that links the two that im missing ?/gq I personally don’t see em interacting at all but that’s just me.

Rebel and royal margarine i could see as friends , drinking buddies maybe. They’d have a lot of stories to swap and rebel would probably be able to figure out that buttercream isn’t a dragon ,

a lot of the times with rarepairs i only really ship it if i could see them interacting together. Like they’d live in the same place, work a similar job, have similar hobbies , etc. I get its all in good fun but some of em don’t make sense to me lol. and that’s totally fine , as long as it’s not gross or harmful or abusive or stuff like that i don’t really care. I personally have a few rarepairs myself , based on stuff like personality and story and how they’d interact with others. ^^

Hey, ThievesGround Anon here with some updates. 

Things are still going a little rough for Kami because his discomfort with the clinical setting and staff . (We finally decided on a name! Thought the trend of Amai and Tomari being “i” ending names fit :)) Blue was stuck on calling him Bukuro, to no one’s surprise, but gave in to the Kami agenda soon enough. Nothing serious, this back and forth thing happens regularly.

Now that Kami is staying at the vet (and thus in one place) for the next week to make sure things are okay, things have been going much smoother but not without some really awful findings. At first when we could only spy on Kami, I thought he just didn’t like being touched; And BOY I couldn’t have felt anymore denser than when we found out that ALL of Kami’s “fur patterns” that ran all over his body were actually burn scars. 

Our beanologist at the vet thinks the poor guy got caught in a fire and most likely lost his helmet that way, which sucks because Kami won’t let anyone pick him up because of how sensitive they are. The scars have made monitoring Kami take longer as the staff has to accomodate him with ramps to reach the consulting tables and thicker gloves for his check ups. 

On the bright side, Kami practically dove into the helmet Blue gifted him! She’s been so protective of Kami ever since we found out about the burn scars and has been visiting him regularly in between her job. Red and Green have been joking that we might have to adopt Kami next because of her, but I don’t think anyone minds. :giggle:

Tomari and Amai have also made fast friends with Kami in the vet! (Red and I made sure they had constant supervision and clear restrictions on what they could do with him.) Surprisingly, the first thing that Toma did when we let them into the pen was to slowly approach Kami and take off his own mask (which had the usual X marking and exposed fangs you’ll expect a Katana to be born with), which was really sweet of him! Amai, in turn, tried to plant some healing sprouts which Red had to intervene with (they messed with the worm/pain meds Kami was taking) but I like to think he appreciated the effort.

They ended up in an ADORABLE lil cuddle pile which I have saved on my phone’s home-wallpaper. Toma and Kami looked especially cosy together, which I’m hoping doesn’t lead to beanlings in the future. They can be cute, but we just don’t have the space or energy for anymore beans than our current babies.

Anyways, that should be everything. We have some experience with setting up bean rooms thanks to Amai and Toma, so there shouldn’t be anything to worry about. The vet just gave us the rest of Kami’s meds and some corner protectors in case he bumps into the furniture. Peace out, Frost!

I'm glad they're all doing well! Unfortunately Hyperlasers have a pretty big tendency to get caught up in fires, much to the pain of them and everyone around them. Definitely handle that fella with lots of care.

i’m actually really academically smart, math is the only thing i lack in and even then i tend to score higher than others my age. i’m a good writer (i think) and really only good because i’m fairly observent when i wish to be. i’m very detail oriented, always trying to know what i say before i talk about it. sadly, i’m not verbally eloquent because of my likeliness to ramble and forget (CURSE YOU ADHDDDD). i’m not usually very vulnerable emotionally, but when i am it is not long. weirdly, i’m really good at being the listener when someone is having issues and spreading positivity where i can. i’m vv creative (i think..?) and like to make up fun little ideas to try and make myself and others happy. i’m sometimes told i’m a bit too energetic, but that’s normally only when i talk about my interests. other than that i’ve been told i’m vv kind :D i’m actually really socially anxious (surprise! anon is anxious! /j) and have severe difficulty being on my own, but i’m getting better about it. i’ve been through a lot and i’m pretty sure i’ll go through more, but i’ll always perservere!
