Hey I've been really getting into this band, you might have heard of them:

there's two official members, a drummer and a singer who also plays piano and a few other instruments

the fanbase used to be small before they completely blew up with the release of their third official album, especially the second track on that album became very popular

people have difficulty describing their genre, so they usually end up being sorted somewhere into the "alternative" bracket

their songs have a little bit of everything from an emotional ballad vibe to rapping to screaming

their fanbase is very dedicated, but there has been a lot of drama and infighting with their rise into fame

their music has "lore" and a whole storyline that fans can uncover, often through obscure details in songs and albums, cryptic messages, websites that have hidden info, etc.

both members have an on-stage persona with a different name that they get into character for by wearing certain clothes and accessories

Sooo… all of this dialogue is from the end of the Baits Motel case in case you couldn’t tell. Literally no changes except for the fact that Dooley is in the Gravity Falls public pool (before it reopened) instead of the pool in the Darkside.

This is pretty much the prologue to my DSD x GF crossover where Dooley arrives at Gravity Falls on Summerween (because spooky and stuff). Also Dooley doesn’t meet Geoff and gets to keep his souvenir hat.

I REALLY enjoyed making this even though it was more “redraw scenes from DSD” instead of “DSD characters interact with GF characters” but it’s coming :)

i’m trying to get krezk figured out from a lore standpoint, and i’m really struggling with the abbot’s story. i want to keep the overall arc of the story the same (ie the direction of change before the campaign starts), but i really don’t like the existing mongrelfolk plotline.

if anyone has input on what their DMs did with this, please let me know! i’m open to tweaking the story or replacing it entirely, i just dislike the module’s tendency to go “here is this horrible situation. you can’t do anything about it but isn’t it fucked up? anyway go fight some random vampire spawn” lol. running a campaign designed to make players feel pointless is a little :/ for me

okay chat, i’m not stupid but i need opinions on how to better let an audience know that two childhood friends (women) were NOT raised as siblings when they become romantic.

(for context, they met when one character was eight and the other was nine).

here is what i know/have already written:

-constant flirting that cannot be taken any other way (by one or both parties)

-pet names (my dear, my darling, sweet thing, etc.)

-the narrative consistently states they are FRIENDS and they simply trust each other a lot

-the narrative also suggests that one person has had a crush on the other since the day they met

-others around them know one party has the hots for the other

-one party’s family treats them as FRIENDS and never insinuates that they were raised to be siblings in any manner (the other family is not in the picture)

-they did grow up together/in the same place (a castle) and are very close when they’re alone, but formal when others could see them. they have their own hobbies and lives outside of the other

idk i feel like it’s very easy for people to assume that two women who were friends since childhood WERE raised as siblings? even though there’s nothing in the narrative and no one has ever even hinted that they could be?? i just want to be sure i’m covering my bases and leaving no room for misinterpretation 😭
