Combat in irredeamable is fast and kinetic. Through a combination of punchy melee and devastating ranged attacks, lady does not just damage enemies, but pushes and propel them away. It can be a bit janky at times, but i think its a more than worthwhile tradeoff for the punchy feeling i was aiming for.

Coneru: Dimension Girl launches May 29 - Gematsu
Tumblr media
Side-scrolling action platformer Coneru: Dimension Girl will launch for Switch and PC via Steam on May 29 for 2,980 yen, publisher HIKE and developer Eallin Japan announced.
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
Embark on a 2D action date with the dimension-girl, Coneru! This time, your date plan is to fend off the mysterious alien group “Hateful Fruit Company” invading Shinjuku City!
Two-Hearted “2D Action Date”
Socrates, the combat android that serves as the player’s avatar, unexpectedly ends up sharing his body with the dimension girl, Subspace Coneru…!? Socrates (You) + Coneru = Conerates (Player) They are literally a two-hearted entity. During the game, you are inseparably “kneaded” together with Coneru! Run, fly, punch, kick, laugh, cry, and occasionally loaf around… Together, you’ll embark on a delightful adventure to liberate Shinjuku City, invaded by a mysterious alien group. This is a 2D action—“date!”
Who is Coneru?
Her full name is Subspace Coneru! She is a high-dimensional life form that can traverse dimensions by materializing her form. Her hobbies include dimension traveling and collecting Saturn rings. Her twin Saturn hair ornaments are her favorite!
What’s a “2D Action Date”?
The game is a 2D platformer. Your task is to run freely around the stage and defeat enemies to liberate Shinjuku City. However, you’re not the only one inhabiting your body; Coneru is with you. Her influence on you will be beyond your imagination. Her mood may change your attack methods, finding comics may inspire new skills, and eating sweets could skyrocket her mood, power, and speed. Yet, you may also find yourselves pausing to appreciate small wonders in the city or simply petting a cat. You’ll experience various adventures “together with Coneru.” This 2D action game, where consciousness and emotions transcend dimensions to mix and burn, will become an unforgettable “2D action date” for both you and Coneru!
This Date Plan: Repel the “Hateful Fruit Company”!
This group suddenly appeared in Shinjuku City. Oddly cheerful, their persistent minor acts of violence continue to plague the city. Why? What are they trying to accomplish? That remains a mystery!

Momodora: Moonlit Farewell is really fun and you should play it!
the new momodora is fantastic. i've played around half of it so far and it's already shaping up to be one of the better action platformers i've played. while i have my gripes compared the last game (read: i'm mad that the bow isn't disgustingly overpowered anymore and I miss having bonus rewards if you no-hit bosses) but in exchange you get a movement kit that makes it feel so delightful and smooth to just run through zones. everything flows into itself and every new move is this lovely evolution. there's also really goofy shit like an infinite walljump which i know is going to let me get VERY stupid later in the game. the character designs and world are gorgeous and the music has consistently blown me away.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i know a lot of people were disappointed about minoria, and while i'll die on the hill that that game was fine, actually, I get it. if what you wanted was Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight 2, you got it. Yes, this is the fifth momodora game, but by the lead dev's own admission they made the story in such a way that you can just drop in because most people didn't go back to play momodora 1-3 after the big success of 4 (which was Reverie Under the Moonlight). you get more out of it if you went back like i did (1 and 2 are free on the dev's itch.io btw, and 3 is a whole $2), but please don't let that stop you from trying such a fantastic game. it seems like this is going to be the last game in this series, and i'm going to savor it and happily wait for whatever the Bombservice team makes next.
there's also a fishing minigame btw

Vtuber Reviews: Alice Escaped on Steam!
Lovely background art. Cute character designs combined with a surprisingly fast paced tag team combat system that's over the top and anime in a satisfying way.
It's an Anime 2d Metroidvania focused on combat and a skill tree that unlocks new attack strings, movement options and tag and skill mechanics.
its only 15$, I recommend it! Check the video out.

Bought Gunbrella for my Switch 2 days ago & just finished devouring it. It’s one of those games where by the end you’re frustrated or are slightly confused believing that you’ve missed something but not due to any negative reason. Rather it’s me coming away wishing the game was longer because of how patently amazing it is! The Gunbrella’s mechanics make it so fun to use & lends to fantastic aerial ballets of carnage & I can absolutely see amazing speed runs or no damage fights done by people who become true experts at it. The story itself is a basic vengeance plot but excels in granting depth & character to both the heroes, villains & civilians in the cast. I just am so frustrated with how short it was & in that way is not too dissimilar to Katana Zero, another action platformer that rewards deft handling of the controls & combat encounters. Begging anyone even slightly interested in the game to purchase it in the selfish hope that the devs at Doinksoft create a sequel

Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
In the early ’90s, Activision announced that they’d be releasing updates of some of their classic Atari 2600 titles for the then-current consoles. Among the titles announced were River Raid, Kaboom!, and Pitfall. However, the announced River Raid and Kaboom! updates never materialized. Pitfall, however, did, in the form of Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure. Reimagined as a modern platformer, The Mayan Adventure brings a lot of new things to the table.
