ALSO can't stop thinking about daisuke/comfrey. they're so cute, actually. they met in their sixties, and still got married, and apparently had a lot of wink wink nudge nudge fun on that ship. it's just always nice to be reminded that just 'cuz ur older doesn't mean u don't fuck haha.

anyways, maybe they'll reveal more canon about it later but for now i'm imagining a wedding on the zephyr with the crew, and daisuke wearing a wedding kimono while comfrey wears a white dress, her veil and his haori flying in the wind 'cuz they're sailing in the sky, the clouds behind them.

it's just, like. the way she hesitates over his name when the broadcast comes on, saving it for last and calling him by his first name when it seems like the crew generally call him pappy. the way he watched over olethra and her family from afar for years, that he still does even though they divorced at some point in those years between then and now.

no you don't get it. i literally love stories where they dive into people's hearts/minds (literally or figuratively) sm it's my favourite type of storytelling.

Whilst overall I prefer the manga to the anime, there's one aspect that I think the anime does better - the very ending.

Compared to the manga's very compactly shown thoughts of the cast, the anime gives each of them a short scene.

But although that change already is great, what matters to me the most, is this added scene of Saiko.

Despite it being so short, it feels so fitting and important to Saiko's character, making its absence in the original seem wrong. (They also added Rifuta, though comparatively, her scene isn't so significant.)

he's very very giggly (known for his positive attitude and his smiles. there could be like 0 people unaffected by his charming smile i'm so serious. he's even got biz flirting with him on tv.) & INCREDIBLY talented (and did figure skating!!) you might want to check out this interview where he talks about his figure skating!

his smile is so precious!! its so hard not to be endeared by him!

his goal songs are peak. like genuinely. he's got hsm's breaking free, party in the usa by hannah montana. i would trust jeffy with the aux cord any day.

the super secret reason the oilers play pink pony club after every win is rumoured to be because of jeff skinner, but it's just a rumour. one that makes a lot of sense though!

he chirped max domi for having 'no fucking teeth' which is maybe my favourite video ever of him as a max domi disliker

he used to host 'between 2 stalls' on the buffalo sabres channel and it was really dang funny (and they did one for his 1000th game!)

also the intro video for his 1000th game was like solid proof that he's loved by everybody. also there was an emily in paris video for his 1000th game as well.

stuart skinner called him his brother in an instagram story (and it was really funny and cute! the skinner bros) ty to lauren for reminding me of this!

there's also this narrative about him going around right now that is pretty important to me. he's played in the nhl for over a decade and this is his first ever stanley cup playoffs and he's made it all the way to the finals so far! he's also met taylor swift so i'm pretty sure she showed up to game 5 to see him in his first finals game and no other reasons. and also maybe you want to see where he talked about it because it's hilarious. and also him having a little bit of a laugh at the kelce photoshop meme
