Several years have passed, and much to your immense relief, Chisaki hasn’t done anything that warrants being called a villain.

You’re ten, and he’s now seventeen. Unfortunately, it seems like his mysophobia is here to stay. You’ve tried to get him to see reason more times than you can even count, but without professional help or the willingness to stop being so goddamn stubborn, this isn’t something that will just magically disappear.

But it’s okay. Having a phobia doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll go on to do bad things. There are plenty of people living with phobias in this world, and even though you feel sorry that they have to suffer, they still find ways to cope and move forward with their lives. There’s no reason the same can’t hold true for Chisaki. He’s got a convoluted way of thinking, that much is an indisputable fact, but he can still be a decent, law-abiding citizen.

Nothing else has really changed. Chisaki refuses to remove his mask—as well as his gloves, which he started wearing a while ago—unless he’s around either you or Pops. He’s just about as moody and condescending as always, but you’ve made peace with the fact that it’s simply his crappy personality at work.

You don’t have any overly idealistic expectations for him. It’s not like he has to be an angel.

He just has to not be a total psychopath.

Anyways, other than the fact that his phobia remains uncured, everything’s been fine for the most part. In canon, you recall that he used to go around picking fights with people if they ever disrespected the Shie Hassaikai, but so far, that hasn’t happened. Perhaps it’s because you’re such a strong advocate for resolving things without resorting to violence. It may be that he’s making an effort to control himself on your behalf.

Whatever the case, he has yet to do anything truly fucked up, and you can only hope that it stays that way.

Besides, you’ve got other things to focus on right now. Namely, the fact that Eri’s mom just showed up with a visibly pregnant belly.

“Big Sis!” you cry out excitedly, wasting no time before rushing towards her. True to her word, she’s made an effort these past few years to be more involved in your life, and you feel confident about the fact that you’ve cultivated a decent relationship with her.

She giggles when you latch onto her and start nuzzling your face against her round stomach. “Hello, [Name]. You’re as cute as ever, I see. Based on how you’ve been growing up, I get the feeling that you’ll be a heartbreaker when you get into your teens.”

“I am pretty gorgeous,” you reply smugly, flipping your hair for added effect.

“And I see your ego’s been growing as well,” she laughs. “It’s nice and healthy, just like your older brother’s. Actually... maybe that’s a bit of a stretch.”

“No one’s ego is as big as Kai’s,” you agree with a sigh. “Even this one blonde dude I’m thinking of is no match for him.”

“Blonde dude?”

“Um... it’s nothing. Don't worry about it.” You gently press a palm against her belly, waiting to see if you’ll feel a little kick. Nothing happens, but it’s amazing to know that you’ve technically met Eri before she’s even been born.

When this sweet, innocent girl comes into the world... you desperately hope that nothing but happiness awaits her. You’ll do anything in your power to make sure that’s the case.

“Do you know the baby’s gender yet?” you ask, feigning ignorance.

“We actually just had an ultrasound the other day,” she replies happily. “I’ve got a baby girl growing inside of me. We've been trying to come up with some names too, but I wanted to run a few of them by you.”

“Of course,” you beam. “I’d love to help name the baby.”

“Well, what do you think of Hana?”

“It’s alright, but I’m not really feeling it.”

“What about Akane?”

“Same as before, it’s just kind of alright.”

“Hikari?”

“I don’t know. Not exactly a home run.”

She pauses for a moment, then parts her lips one last time. “Okay, then... how about Eri? I’ve been holding onto that name for a long time. My husband seems to like it too. As of now, it’s probably our number one choice.”

Almost immediately, you’re grinning from ear-to-ear.

“Eri sounds perfect. That one’s definitely a keeper.”

“I was really hoping you’d say that,” she hums, rubbing her belly. “I guess I’ve made up my mind, then. Baby Eri. I can’t believe that in just a few months, I’ll have a child of my own. It feels like it’s all happening so fast.”

You stare at her intently, and even though your expression doesn’t show it, there’s a tightness in your chest that makes it feel like your heart might explode.

“Please take good care of Eri,” you say, eyes clear and solemn. “She’s going to be your little girl, and I’m sure you’ll love her very much, so... stick with her, no matter what happens. Can you promise me you’ll do that?”

She tilts her head at you, visibly confused. “Well... of course I will. What a silly thing to say. Why wouldn’t I look after my own child? Your big sister isn’t quite as unreliable as you seem to think she is.”

It’s obvious that she thinks you’re just saying random, nonsensical things, and she even pinches your cheek and chuckles. You can tell that she hasn’t really taken your words to heart. After all, why would she ever assume that she’s going to abandon her daughter?

But it’s precisely because you know that she already has abandoned her daughter that you’re so worried. If only she’d taken better care of Eri. If only she’d made sure to always watch over her and keep her as far away from Chisaki as possible.

You suppose there’s no point in dwelling on a different timeline, one where you don’t even exist. So long as things go better in this reality, that’s what really matters.

“I can already tell that Eri’s going to be super pretty, just like you,” you smile.

“Aw. Aren’t you such a darling?” She pokes the tip of your nose and pulls you into a quick embrace. “Since we’re technically siblings, once Eri is born, that means you’ll be an aunt. Auntie [Name], just a little kid herself. It’s quite funny to picture it.”

“I’ll be the best aunt ever,” you proudly declare.

“I’m sure you will. Honestly, I can’t help but worry that Eri might end up liking you more than me.”

“Sorry,” you shrug. “It’s not my fault I’m amazing.” 

Eri’s mom laughs, and she squeezes you close one last time before pulling away, using a hand to support her belly.

“Well, it was very nice seeing you, [Name],” she says. “I promised my father I’d go say hi to him too. Things are getting quite hectic, so I’m not sure how often I’ll be able to visit during the pregnancy, but I promise to send word as soon as Eri is born.”

You nod happily. It’s good that she seems so excited. Surely, that bodes well for the future. If she truly loves her child, then nothing will scare her away, even once Eri’s Quirk manifests. You wonder if there’s also a way to prevent the death of Eri’s father, but given that you have no clue when her powers will appear, it seems fairly impossible.

Still. Whether or not Eri’s father remains in the picture, you hope that in this life, at least one of her parents will be there to look after her.

“This is Kurono,” Pops announces. “He’s around your age, Chisaki, and starting today, he will be joining the Shie Hassaikai.”

Ah. There he is. You were actually wondering when Chisaki’s devoted right-hand man would make his appearance. It’s kind of funny, though. In the canon series, you recall Kurono being loyal to a fault, willing to do anything so long as it would further Chisaki’s ideals. Calling him a fanboy isn’t even that big of an exaggeration. When it comes to Chisaki, this guy is whipped.

That’s what makes this whole thing so ironic. The way that Chisaki is glaring at him as if he just spotted a steaming turd.

“Kai, play nice,” you laugh, then you turn towards Kurono with a smile. “Sorry. You’ll have to forgive my socially inept older brother. He doesn’t get out much.”

Instead of responding verbally, Kurono just lifts a brow. Meanwhile, Chisaki appears to be mashing his teeth in frustration. It’s easy to tell, even with the mask he’s wearing.

“I am not socially inept,” he mutters. “I just don’t like people.”

“Tomato, potato,” you shrug. “All I know is that whenever someone comes out of a conversation with you, they’re not smiling.”

Chisaki balls his gloved hand into a fist, makes a big show of shaking it at you, and the whole time, Kurono stands by and watches with an incredulous expression.

“Um, this is a yakuza group, isn’t it?” he frowns.

Pops belly-laughs. “Yes, yes. But you’ll find that our organization is quite respectable. Although [Name] and Chisaki certainly do a good job of brightening it up even more.” He pauses for a few moments, then narrows his eyes. “Well... mostly [Name], if I’m being honest.”

“Pops,” Chisaki gasps. “Not you too!”

Now it’s your turn to laugh, and you practically jump onto Chisaki, reveling in the warmth of his embrace. Now that he’s nearly an adult, the difference in height between the two of you is downright staggering. He looks identical to how he appeared in the anime and manga. But because the past few years have gone off without a hitch (minus his pesky phobia), you are still able to find comfort in his arms.

“Don’t worry,” you grin. “We like to tease every now and then, but we love you lots, Kai. And I love you the most out of anyone!”

To emphasize your statement, you push up on the balls of your feet, tug Chisaki’s sleeve to pull him closer, then plant a sloppy, exaggerated kiss on his cheek.

Unsurprisingly, he recoils, and you’re worried that you might have upset him. He’s comfortable enough around you and Pops for hugs and that kind of stuff, but you fear that a kiss may be crossing the line.

You look up at him with a guilty expression. “Um, I’m sorry. Maybe I should have thought that through a bit more...”

You wouldn’t blame him if he got mad at you right now. He can’t help the way his phobia works, and it’s highly likely that you’ve pushed him too far.

But much to your surprise, instead of looking disgusted or snapping at you, he just stands perfectly still and blinks.

Are you imagining things right now, or did his face just turn red?

“Oh my,” Pops chuckles. “Are you blushing, Chisaki?”

“D-Don’t be ridiculous,” Chisaki dismisses, but for all his self-assuredness and usual composure, he’s doing a very poor job of being convincing.

Chisaki Kai just blushed and stuttered. Did I bump my head earlier or something? Am I actually trapped in a long-ass dream?

You pinch your cheek, and sure enough, it hurts. Not to mention the fact that you’ve already been reincarnated into a fictional world. Perhaps you should suspend your disbelief, because clearly, all kinds of crazy shit can happen around here.

Pops folds his hands into the sleeves of his kimono and smiles warmly. “As you can see, we are a very tight-knit household. By joining the Shie Hassaikai, you can consider yourself an extended family of sorts. So long as you act in a way befitting our values, we will always make sure that you’re taken care of.”

Kurono glances back over at you. Chisaki is still blushing, and being the little rascal that you are, you refuse to stop teasing him about it.

“I see,” Kurono says. You don’t notice it because you’re too busy annoying the crap out of Chisaki, but for just a moment, Kurono smiles as well. “Thank you for having me. I think... I’ll really enjoy my time here.”

And he does. Well, you think he does, at least. Just like Chisaki, he’s not exactly the most expressive of the bunch, but you still have a pretty good sense of whether or not he’s happy.

You expected as much based on how things turned out in canon, but Kurono quickly becomes attached to Chisaki, and makes it his mission to help him out as much as possible.

“I made sure to buy the extra-soft toilet paper that you like,” Kurono says, bowing his head as he extends the toilet paper out like some sort of offering.

Chisaki gives him a deadpan stare, and it takes all your strength not to laugh your ass off.

Kurono’s attempts to win Chisaki over don’t stop there, though. You can tell that he’s making a conscious effort to discern what Chisaki likes and dislikes. And, well... since your older brother is a picky son-of-a-bitch, the list of his dislikes goes on and on.

“Absolutely disgusting,” Chisaki grimaces, pointing to an unwashed plate that someone left out earlier. Someone who will remain unnamed. It definitely wasn’t you, though. No. Definitely not.

Kurono nods fervently, and you imagine him writing a mental note to himself that Chisaki can’t stand the sight of dirty dishes.

“That’s disgusting too,” Chisaki says. “And so is that one over there. Ugh.”

To be honest, you’re not even really paying attention anymore. You’ve listened to Chisaki rant about things more times than you can count. Since you’ve lived with him for roughly eight years now, you feel like you’ve done your due diligence. It’s Kurono’s turn to suffer through Chisaki’s tireless droning, and luckily, he seems perfectly happy to do it.

“Understood,” Kurono nods again, focusing so intently it’s a miracle steam hasn’t come out of his ears. “Don’t worry, Kai. I’ll make sure to clean up around here and keep everything tidy, just the way you like it.”

Alright, alright, we get it. You’re in love with him. Try dialing it back a notch, buddy.

“Please don’t expose me to anything inappropriate,” you hum. “I’m still only ten years old. I don’t want to grow up with trauma.”

Chisaki and Kurono both stare at you in confusion. The joke has clearly gone way over their heads, which honestly makes it a million times funnier.

Anyways, long story short, Kurono takes his position in the Shie Hassaikai remarkably seriously, and since Chisaki is the same age as him, you can tell that he’s hoping to form some sort of kinship. The poor bastard hasn’t yet realized that Chisaki is about as friendly as a bear who’s just come out of hibernation, but hey, he’s welcome to keep trying.

For a few good weeks, there’s nothing much to report. Kurono sticks to Chisaki’s side like glue, even when Chisaki snaps at him and tells him to piss off. You actually admire Kurono’s diligence, and their interactions are usually quite funny to watch, too.

Still. Kurono’s progress is marginal at best, and Chisaki is nowhere near ready to accept him.

Then, one day, an opportunity lands in Kurono’s lap.

You’re having a good time. Since you’re still only ten years old, and your mind is several years more advanced, you can afford to slack off when it comes to studying. This means that you have a lot of free time on your hands—time which you devote almost entirely towards honing your Quirk.

You’re pleased to report that you’ve gotten better with it. Using it to perform telekinesis still isn’t easy, but there’s definitely a considerable improvement from how you were a few years ago. The crappy part is that you have to hide your Quirk training sessions from Chisaki, because he usually makes a big stink about it. Nothing exhausts you more than being nagged by him for inordinate periods of time.

So, you train in secret. It allows you to focus more clearly, and you like having the space to properly reflect on your mistakes.

Everything is going well. Really well, as a matter of fact. Perhaps that’s why you get so excited. You just can’t help yourself. Living in this world and getting to meet all these characters, and also having big dreams and aspirations for the future... it’s kind of impossible not to get carried away.

“I’m kick-ass!” you cry out in a fit of glee. Today’s training session went so much better than you expected, and before you can take a breath to collect yourself, a few fateful words leave your lips. “I might seriously become a hero at this rate!”

You collapse to the ground, exhausted, but immeasurably happy.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t last.

“...you’re going to become a what?”

Just like that, your mood plummets faster than you can even blink. You turn around, barely stifling a gasp, and your eyes land on a young man standing by the doorway, who has clearly just overheard everything.

It’s not Chisaki, and for that, you thank your lucky stars. Still, you didn’t intend for anyone to find out about this, and based on the way Kurono is glaring at you, he clearly isn’t happy with what he’s just discovered.

You press your lips together, trying not to show how fazed you are. Dammit, dammit, dammit! What is he doing over here?! You specifically chose this location because he and Chisaki were on the opposite end of the building, and they seemed occupied enough for you to sneak in a quick training session. You were convinced that he would be glued to Chisaki for the rest of the evening, just like he usually is.

“Hi, Kurono,” you reply weakly, straining a smile. “What’s up?”

“Don’t play dumb with me,” he snaps.

Ugh. Just like Chisaki, it’s impossible to calm him down once he’s riled up about something. Still, you most certainly can play dumb, and that’s precisely what you intend to do.

“Huh? Oh.” You chuckle sheepishly and scratch your cheek. “I guess I got a little excited there, didn’t I? Sorry. I was happy that my Quirk was cooperating for a change, but I definitely didn’t need to yell out that I’m kick-ass or whatever...”

“That’s not the only thing you said,” Kurono glares. “I heard you. I heard you say that you’re planning on becoming a hero.”

You tilt your head to the side and pretend to look confused. “What are you talking about? I know I was acting kind of cringy, but that’s taking it too far.”

“You said, and I quote, that you might seriously become a hero at this rate. I know what I heard.”

“Um... no, I didn’t. I think you might need to get your ears checked. Seriously, is everything okay?”

“I know what I heard,” Kurono insists, and he steps closer to you, narrowing his eyes until they’re scarcely more than slits. “I’m not an idiot, so you’d better come clean while you still can.”

Oh my god, just shut up and let me gaslight you, for fuck’s sake!

“Kurono, you’re acting weird,” you frown, fully intent on sticking to your story until the very end.

“Ha.” The chuckle that leaves his lips is humorless at best, and for a few moments, he just stares at you, as if he’s pondering his next course of action.

Suddenly, his eyes widen.

“Kai won’t like this,” he mumbles. “Kai won’t like it one bit. But... I’ll be the one to tell him. I’ll be the one to nip this problem in the bud. And he’ll thank me for it. He’ll thank me for bringing such a serious issue to his attention.”

Your heart drops into your stomach, and as much as you try to play it off and act cool, on the inside, you are freaking the fuck out.

“You’re just making things up,” you say, voice trembling slightly. “Why are you lying and trying to create conflict for no reason? It’s pointless, anyways. Kai won’t believe you. I’m his little sister, and he’ll take my word over yours any day.”

Some strange emotion glints in Kurono’s eyes. You can’t tell if it’s cruelty, amusement, or a twisted combination of the two.

Either way, it doesn’t matter. He’s already made up his mind.

“Whether Kai believes me or not... let’s find out for ourselves, shall we?”

I’m doing Duckvember uh- very lazy this year. EXTRA LAZY OKAY. I’m always busy, leave me aloneeeee! Weh.  So I’m gonna do like writing headcanons of mostly canon chars that the prompts remind me of. Ahhhh. I’ll also be doing uummm old Duckvembers I never finished lulz. OOPS. But that's for my days off of work. HALP.

Hot Shot Duck

My first thought was Nosedive from Mighty Ducks the Animated Series. Ahhh haha. Jfc. Most of the chars I made mary sues to ship with were more serious chars and then I had this goober as my main ship with my OC in Mighty Ducks.  Oh god this idiot why do I love him.

I think the most funny thing about him like - following the cartoon action hero formula he should be the fun character that would be the kid’s best friend vibe but instead they made him an asshole and not a sweeter like Bumblebee or whiny like oh god Snarf in Thundercats jfc. Nosedive had jerkiness in a kids show when weren’t we supposed to be teaching lessons of not being little shits to the kids maybe? Lol. and that ep where they had Nosedive not like humans looooool. 

I loved the TINY bit of character development we got from him going from idiot (In ‘Take me to your Leader’ when he tried to be leader and sucked) and to actually being more skilled/useful (Like in Puck Fiction where he (tho with Grin) was getting shit done.) I JUST REALIZED that in “Take me to your Leader” he was with Grin too. So maybe the growth is not only maybe getting better skilled but also maybe LISTENING TO GRIN MAYBE. Lol. Or maybe Grin maybe just got better at reeling in Nosedive’s chaotic energy. Jfc. 

Anyways, at the time a lot of my other cartoon show chars in my harem were like - angsty types or temper types (Oh sweet Raph the best Mutant Turtle,) so Nosedive was a nice change from that. Yay.  Anyways.

Also dude with long hair we need that more in cartoons okay. >_>;;;;

My friends and I that wrote fic back in highschool were doing AU stories with each of the Duck’s team members being the villain. For Nosedive I totally forgot his from back in the day but 5ish years ago brainstormed if I ever wrote it, how I would do it now. The AU started with if Nosedive had been left behind when Canard told Wildwing to leave him behind. WHICH IS A VERY CONTROVERSIAL SCENE FOR ME, CANARD YOU ASSHOLE. 

 So Nosedive ends up getting thrown in the Saurian prison camps. Of course he gets roughed up but is still mouthy and ends up getting a hatred for being left behind. While Dragaunus still had a working dimensional gateway generator, before the Lucretia DeCoy incident maybe, he found out Wildwing had a brother in one of his camps. The original plan was to use Nosedive in trade I guess for a power source for Dragaunus’s ship or whatever, lawd that show. 

Since Nosedive wasn’t with the team on Puckworld then they weren’t over weight on the ship when going through the gateway so Canard didn’t have to YEET himself. Which means Canard is still leader and didn’t OVER DRAMATICALLY hand the mast to Wildwing instead of having Grin rip out the bolted down chairs and throw those out instead. It's what he deserves. 

((LOL I just remembered one of my songs for my original evil Nosedive Plot was “Hold me, thrill me, kiss me, kill me” by U2. STILL DON’T REMEMBER THE ORIGINAL PLOT BUT THAT WAS ONE OF THE SONGS LOL. Just added it to my Evil Dive playlist. >_> SWEATS))

ANYWAYS long story short- Ducks meet Saurian’s in your usual abandoned warehouse to do a trade of power source for idiot little brother. I’m sure Canard did not want to do it but Wildwing was like bitch you had me leave my little brother behind now we’re gonna get him. But said politely. Yay. Though, before the trade while both sides are arguing terms, Nosedive gets out of whatever cuffs/ropes were restraining him. And what you expect to happen is to run over to the ducks side so he can leave with them and no fuel exchange. Well, much to Saurian and Duck surprise, Nosedive grabbed the nearest weapon off of anyone, and shot at the fuel source that was being traded. And who was standing next to it? Canard. Of course. That asshole. <_<;;  

So everybody gets out of the warehouse except Nosedive and Canard. They aren’t seen anywhere. SWEATS. While the rest of the Ducks after that are having something of a ‘Take me to your Leader’ ep but with no mask (that was on Canard- ha) The Saurian’s track down and find Nosedive. Pretty sure they had a tracker on him. While Dragaunus is pissed at another loss of a fuel source, he see’s potential in getting Nosedive to work for him. He seems rather pissed at fellow ducks. It doesn’t take much manipulation to convince him that like HEY your brother Wildwing abandoned you too. Maybe you should get revenge on him and the other ducks you don’t know. Haa. And it FUKKIN works. Anyways they’d be all that trope drama of ‘oh no Wildwing doesn’t really want to hurt him because that's his brother but he attacks maybe once every week or so as the villain of the day.’ While Grin and Tanya would respect Wildwing on being careful fighting Nosedive and try to talk to him not hurt him… on the other hand with Duke and Mallory if Wildwing isn’t there and Nosedive is a threat well- they’re gonna beat his ass. LULZ. 

Anyways Nosedive in an all black outfit and being a badass with weapons why not lets go. Making crazy faces like Dilandau from Escaflowne would make cuz I was a little weeboo in high school.  Not bias at all. 

But its a little bit hot.

ANYWAYS redemption arch for Nosedive happens eventually, though ya-know… kinda killed Canard but who knows maybe he’s alive and has a partial Mask of Drake Ducaine and is gonna be the next villain coming up because he’s a big jerk too. Fuck that guy.

go ho’s starry night- a chinese-korean collaboration drama starring snsd's yuri, kim youngkwang (the secret life of my secretary), and lee jihoon (legend of the blue sea) - go ho (yuri) is a dedicated worker who deals with her grumpy boss and quirky coworkers. she requests to be transferred to a different team, where she discovers her new boss is her ex-boyfriend, and then basically there forms a harem of 5 of her coworkers who all like her- super fluffy!! episodes are only about 15 minutes long each, and although there is angst, there's a lot more comedy and fluff. the relationship between the two main leads is adorable and had me squealing way more than once

put your head on my shoulder- a chinese drama starring fair xing (master devil do not kiss me) and lin yi- si tu mo is a bubbly girl who moves into a house only to find out that the owner's nephew (?), gu wei yi,  is already living there, and the two end up living together. si tu mo is sweet and outgoing, while gu wei yi is quiet and intellectual- SO cute. although the plot seems cliche, the focus is not really on them living together, that's just what brings them together originally, and the main lead isn't the stereotypical "cold and super smart asshole" type, he's actually very sweet. there are a lot of episodes but i would definitely recommend watching this!

like- a korean webdrama that you can find on youtube starring kim yu an, kim kangmin (maybe, maybe not), yoo jungwoo (love after school), and seo ji hye- about a group of students who create a film club to make youtube videos and the dumb shit they get into, plus there's some romance, betrayal, and fuckboys. - so so so so cute honestly. the dynamic between the characters of the club is so cute and funny, plus the love triangle has me wheezing. also the asshole fuckboy gets what he deserves which is super satisfying. it hasn't finished airing yet, but so far it's really cute

failing in love- korean webdrama  you can find on youtube starring son sang yeon (triple fling), yang hye ji, and shin yoon seop- about a group of high schoolers who deal with falling in love, crushes, rejection, etc.- ok so the summary i gave was pretty vague but that's because any more and i'd be exposing the whole plot. there is humor and fluff but also teenage angst, and the characters are all more complex than they first appear. i would highly recommend this show !!!

i have 3 boyfriends- short webdrama you can find on youtube starring kim ji eun, park sungwoo (produce 101 season 2 [that 30 year old dude who danced to rain's song OMG], moon jihoo, and lee jungsik - when la hi gets in a car accident and wakes up with amnesia she finds that she has 3 men all claiming to be her boyfriend.- OK LISTEN . this show is so funny and cute. let me just say: you MUST watch to the end. that's all i'll say. pLS WATCH

last minute romance- two episode drama special starring han seung yeon (age of youth) and lee seo won (the liar and his lover)- when baek se finds out she has terminal cancer and only has a short time to live, she desperately wants to complete her one bucket list item: date her favorite actor. it's then that she meets an aspiring actor who looks exactly like her favorite actor- so cute and very short, so you won't spend ages trying to finish. it is very fluffy, cute, and funny, but has an underlying tone of sadness because the main female lead has cancer and will eventually die. also her best friend is a monk??? the ending is bittersweet but very fitting

want more 19- a short webdrama you can find on youtube starring jung ha joon, sin gi hwan,  jeon yoo rim, nam yoon soo, and lee jungha- a story of 5 friends in high school. A mutual crush, a one-sided love, and a rough patch for sweethearts, all taking place right around the end their senior year- OH GOD i can't breathe this drama is so cute. it had me squealing every single episode, and it's very lighthearted with hardly any angst 

splash splash love- a two episode drama starring kim seulgi (queen of the ring) and highlight's doojoon (radio romance)- right before her ksat, danbi is transported to the past during a freak rain shower and is mistaken for a eunich (which, in korean, is the same word for high school senior) . due to her knowledge of future math, the king enlists her to teach him mathematics and they fall in love- a lowkey parody/remake of the kdrama love in the moonlight but if you added time travel into the mix and took out nearly all the angst. SO cute and funny, and has a happy but open type ending

something about 1 percent (2016)- korean drama starring jeon so min and ha seokjin (drinking solo)- lee jae in is an arrogant company heir, whose wealthy grandfather who decides to grant all his wealth to a kindly elementary school teacher. to only way for anyone else to get the money is for someone to marry her, but they devise a contract that changes it to date for 10 months. although they hate each other at first, they eventually fall in love- this drama is super cute and the kisses are AMAZING. there are crazy exes and all that but the couple's dynamic is super cute and they quickly warm up to each other

triple fling (s1)- a short choose-your-own-ending  korean webdrama on youtube starring jung bomin, son sangyeon (failing in love), themanblk's jeongyou, and themanblk's eom sewoong- lee sehee accidentally becomes friends with the three most popular boys in school and ends up in a love square with them- alright im whipped for stuff like this so naturally i loved it. i also really liked how viewers could choose their own ending as for which boy she chose. there is a second season that i haven't seen yet that focuses on another girl in ANOTHER love square (containing one of the guys from sehee's love square) in which it shows which boy she actually did choose (and it was my favorite so . yay!)

weightlifting fairy kim bok joo- a korean drama starring lee sungkyung (cheese in the trap) and nam joohyuk (who are you: school 2015)- a drama about a female weightlifter who falls in love. persuing the relationship would jeopardize her weightlifting, and focusing on weightlifting would jeopardize her relationship with her crush.  she and her group of friends deal with one-sided crushes, athletic pressure, and self-love.- i watched this drama in full in only two days, and loved it. seriously, it's funny, cute, sad, and just a generally AWESOME drama. plus it takes a lot of cliches and makes fun of them or turns them on their head

when you love yourself (s1)- a short webdrama you can find on youtube starring jung mingyu (sweet revenge 2) and saet byeol . - about a girl who is heavier than her classmates who struggles with self-love and self-acceptance, and along the way finds love- god. i can't even explain how much i loved this drama. the message is wonderful and there's no moment where she glows up and loses weight and then gets the guy's attention or anything: he simply loves her as who she is, no matter what weight she is, and is supportive. there's also an episode that focuses on the queen bee girl who also struggles with weight and self-love and it's just beautiful 

after school: lucky or not (s1)- short drama starring 5urprise: kang tae oh (my first first love), seo kang joon (are you human too), gong myung (drinking solo), lee taehwan (w: two worlds), and yoo il, as well as kim so eun (our gab soon)- when so eun gets an invite to the choose-your-mission club, she meets 5 chaotic guys that she becomes friends with, but there's something they aren't telling her.- yes, there is a lil romance and a love triangle HOHO. ok but seriously this drama is the most crackheadery i've ever seen like. genuinely i was just wheezing so hard every episode because of the dumb sh*t the guys were doing and so eun's reaction. this drama seems dumb and funny at first, but there are emotional moments as well as some angst relating to the love triangle and the origin of the club. please do watch this show !!! (don't recommend season 2, though)

accidentally in love - a chinese drama starring amy sun (the eternal love), fiction guo, and ma li- chen qingqing, who is raised by her grandfather) is arranged to be married, but wants to find love on her own terms. on the day of the wedding, she runs away to the university her parents attended to find out more about their death. to hide from her grandfather, she changes her appearance drastically and enters university. her new deskmate turns out to be singer si tu feng, whom she has already run into and has gotten off on the wrong foot with- so this drama was longer than the ones i usually watch but it was worth it. it was cute and they didn't drag out the couple not getting together for ages like some dramas tend to do. the romance was super cute and the female lead's undeterred determination to march to her own drummer was amusing. the only thing i didn't like is that they didnt give the side couple enough screentime bc they were super cute too

my woofy poofy love / my dog-like dating- a short korean webdrama you can find on youtube starring chae ji an and kim do hoon (your imagination becomes reality)- a girl who has recently been cruelly dumped by her boyfriend brings a stray dog back to her home and wakes up to find that instead of a dog, there is a man! she happens to be looking for a roommate, and so this man (who can turn into a dog) becomes her new housemate- literally adorable. female lead is stunning and the relationship is so cute and fluffy and innocent, but the kiss is steamy as hell. 

unrequited love (2019)- a chinese drama starring zhu yan man zi and zhao shun ran- a story of a girl who has secretly loved the same boy for 10 years, but he doesn't know she exists, until one day when they meet in college. so begins their love story, but things become more complicated because of other people- ok so like . damn i love this couple. this drama is really cute but has its fair share of angst, so don't expect an easy ride the whole way through. very cute though !!_ MORE DRAMA RECS _

a love so beautiful- a chinese drama starring shen yue (meteor garden) and hu yi tuan- chen xiaoxi has liked her neighbor jiangchen onesidedly for years, and continues to like him despite his seeming disinterest. but her determination and bubbly personality, as well as a romantic threat starts to cause him to fall for her- aight so . i feel like this drama was dragged out a little bit longer than necessary and then the ending was slightly rushed but!! it WAS a great and super cute drama

ok to be sensitive (s1)- a webdrama you can find on youtube starring kim da ye and kim youngdae (extraordinary you) and others im too lazy to put- focuses on feminist issues like sexism and sexual harassment in a college setting, which each episode focusing on one particular incident and the characters dealing with it- listen so like . this show had me emotional at some points bc of how amazing the message was. it dealt with sexual harassment, sexism, how females are expected to act, stalking, pressure to have sex... etc and basically every episode was like . you can stand up for yourself. you don’t have to “take it” just bc you’re a female, etc. also there was really cute romance uwu

ok to be sensitive (s2)- season 2 of otbs, also can be found on youtube, starring yoo hye in and lee shin young, as well as others but again im too lazy to list them all- same thing as season 1, but a different cast of main characters, and set in an office workplace. (original cast makes a cameo at the end)- the issues in season 2 were definitely a bit darker because it was set in a work place, where the main characters were worried about getting fired if they stood up for themselves, but the way things were handled was really admirable imo. also the male lead in this one is ABSOLUTELY adorable

go back diary- a 4 episode webdrama you can find on youtube starring kim ye ji and lee jong won (jaemin’s webdrama how to hate you)- about a boy who sees a girl at a karaoke bar (?) and instantly develops a crush on her. she then transfers to his school, and it tells the story of their love story after 10 years.- i’ll just say it right now. the whole drama was adorable except for the ending, which fucking sucked. literally was horrible. boycott episode 4 pls i was SO UPSET. otherwise, great webdrama

before we get married- taiwanese drama starring puff guo (just you; we got married w/ suju’s heechul) and jasper liu- tells the story of two people who already have partners and are planning to marry them, only to meet each other and fall in love- bro this show had so much angst i couldn’t even breathe lmfao. but the romantic scenes between the two leads were S T E A M Y let me TELL you. 

love after school (s1)- korean webdrama that can be found on youtube starring park so eun and yoo jungwoo (like)- about a couple who fell in love in high school and their story, told from 5 years later when they meet again- i love love love this bitch. LOVE. season 2 ... we won’t speak of her lol. but season 1 is super cute and the ???? kiss at the end(ish)??? DEAD. literally anything with yoo jungwoo will destroy me but omg. it was fantastic

lucky romance- a korean drama starring hwang jung eum (she was pretty) and ryu joon yeol (reply 1988) - about a woman who believes wholeheartedly in superstitions meeting a man who believes only in science and mathematics, and their very chaotic love story- this show was so funny tbh. the main couple’s dynamic was HILARIOUS and even though they were literally complete opposites they worked so well together. warning: towards the end there’s that whole ‘i have to be noble and let you go bc its for the best’ bullshit but!!! there is a happy ending 

maybe, maybe not- a webdrama starring kim kangmin (like) and gong yoorim- a girl who can read minds and is an outside bc she knows what everyone is really thinking meets a guy that she can’t read the mind of- so fluffy. so cute. oh god. pls watch it’s so soft and cute 

my first first love- a korean drama starring jisoo (strong woman dbs), dia’s chaeyeon (drinking solo), and b1a4′s jinyoung (love in the moonlight)- about a group of friends who all, due to various circumstances, move into their friend tae oh’s house, and find love along the way.- idk why netflix did that dumbass thing where they did mffl 1 and mffl 2 but they’re the same show, just eps 1-8 then 8-16. anyways !! very cute show!! jisoo is fine as hell. taeoh and the rich girl are cute together. i found the ending abrupt and unsatisfying, but overall a good show

thumping spike (s1)- a korean drama starring hwang seung eon (part-time idol) and song jae rim (our gab soon) - about a volleyball team and their coach who are aiming for success, and a female professional volleyball player who becomes their athletic mentor- i know it doesnt sound super romantic but trust me. there is lots of romance, and even a love triangle hehe

u-prince: the single lawyer- a thai drama apart of the u-prince series starring august vachiravit paisarnkulwong and apple lapisara intarasu- firstclass is a straight a student who is strict about punctuality and properness, while minute is a spoiled rich girl who loses all her luxuries when her family files for bankruptcy. she begins “going out” with her gay best friend, aka firstclass’ brother, for money and ends up living in their house, but she and firstclass hate each other- listen all the u prince dramas are cringy and low quality but does it look like a give a shit . NO BC I KEEP WATCHING THEM . they’re cute ok . anyways this was my favorite one so this is the one im recommending yeehaw

unexpected heroes- a short korean drama sponsored by the CDC organ transplant management center, starring btob’s minhyuk, ioi’s sohye, and choi jonghoon- about three high school students who discover that, after their respective organ transplants, they have supernatural powers- though there’s not much focus on romance in this drama, it’s still funny and cute. plus minhyuk is in it and what more can you ask for ?? lol. anyways the trio uses their powers to help solve crimes n stuff it’s gr8 and ive been waiting for a season 2 for 98429834 years

what to do with you- a korean webdrama - that is actually literally an ad for a facemask - starring lee hayoung and kim youngdae (extraordinary you)- saerom and geun are friends, but it feels like they’re something more. will they ever take the next step?- yeah this webdrama is super cute and that’s really all lol. also the bitchy girl in love after school is the best friend in this one oho
