Have you considered Discuit? It's more Reddit-like than it is Tumblr-like, but we have plenty of money to keep the site up and running. We're also very strongly against enshittification of any kind, and I would say much friendlier towards trans people (and the LGBTQ+ community as a whole) than Tumblr seems to be nowadays.

Well shit, I just found out that Pillowfort is at the risk of shutting down in July unless it gets donations, so much for using that as an alternative, I don't even know how to send money.

At least I still have DA and Pixiv, although with the former I'm walking on eggshells.

I have so much origami to share, and this isnt even all of what ive made!

Ok the first group is some of the various dragons ive made, these are a favorite of mine which is part of why theres so many.

Then ive got a few samurai hats

A bunch of these paper spiky balls that i have no clue the actual name of. Most of these take 12 or 30 pieces of paper, depending on how many points i want it to have.

A plethora of paper stars

A couple of hearts and a kite i made for a school project

A pair of birds

2 massive ninja stars, theyre a little beat up because they're like 4 years old at this point

And lastly a cool fidgety thing. It spins, but i couldn't really capture that well.

I honestly enjoy the process of making origami things more than the end product most of the time. It gives me something to do with my hands, and is just relaxing to me :D

Honestly, if an exodus does happen, an option I would especially recommend is Discuit. (And no, I'm not just saying that because I'm on the Discuit Admin team and this is the official Discuit Tumblr account. It's actually the reverse- I became an admin because I liked the platform so much.)

In the introduction to the platform, the developer Previnder specifically states that one of Discuit's main goals is to avoid enshittification. And over the eight months it's existed, he has stayed true to that mission. We (among the admin team, but we've also reached out to users about this) have discussed plenty of options to monetise that don't involve advertisements and that bring more good things to the platform. At the moment, our Patreon more than covers hosting costs, but we've also talked about adding cosmetic features for a small price, or something akin to Reddit Awards. Enshittification is nowhere in our view of the site, even in 10 years' time.

Also, as another transmasc person, I feel you on this. Everything he's doing right now is only serving to make me hate him more every day.

Man... I hope there isn't a mass exodus of tumblr, ive been here so long. But if there is, it will be known that I am transmasc and Matt can take a long peruse of my middle fucking finger, dude.

Regardless of whatever he thinks he's doing "right", consider that regardless of how he think it looks, the majority of tumblr has commented how it makes him look REALLY fuckin bad. And then he does more. And more. At this point, he's either truly on a power trip or he's quite literally the biggest troll on the platform.

He could've made so much money if he actually did good things for this platform, I hope he knows. There are people who would've been willing to dump money for this to continue to be a trusted safe haven for queers everywhere. He had believers even up until recently.

I hope he has lost the hope that tumblr will continue to be a successful monetary decision. Maybe this will be just one more case... of Enshittification.
