i really really think you should remove the 'never seen it' options. when i vote and the numbers are skewed so highly towards that option so that the differences between 1-10 are impossible to read it makes it entirely unfun and uninteresting. i don't think the never seen options add any relevant data.

it's really not hard to see the actual results if you just completely ignore the last 'never seen it' options and see which score the films get from people who have seen it. (you can still see if most people vote 10 or 5, etc)

I choose to add these options so that people who have never seen the film or show can participate and see if said movie/show is worth watching. respectfully, by removing the 'never seen it' options, that's how the results will get skewed because people who have never seen it will press any score since they want to see what results a poll has and you can't do that without voting (unless you wait until the poll is over, but most people aren't going to wait a week when they can just press a random number instead), so they will just press any number they want without having seen the film/show, that's how the results get skewed.

this applies to any other polls, not just the ones about movies.

the 'never seen it' options stay. sorry but these options and 'see results' are more relevant than you think.

I think it's hilarious. I have been responding as Maruki lately, and I'm just saying things how he would say them.

But PSA to people making jokes about NSFW with Shuake, STOP, it is genuinely annoying and actually disturbing. I saw one saying how Akechi is still okay to do NSFW of and no! The admins are not comfortable with it and I doubt the actual characters would be considering they are all in highschool, minus Maruki ofc.

as it currently stands, Portugal does not have a canon name, no. the suggestions that you'll see online will be fanon names, but generally speaking, there does seem to be variation in the fandom over who prefers what name for him. so it's entirely up to you what you use!

as one of us humble admins puts it: port will be whatever you ask him to be ;)

why do they have to be canon?

because this is a pride event celebrating queer representation in 911. allowing non-canon characters would defeat the purpose.

I'd like to be clear, this has nothing to do with shipping or ship wars. this is about pride. we have come a long way from the advent of modern fandom, where all we had was headcanons and the chance of actual canon queer characters was small to non-existent. over its run, 911 has 3 queer main characters, 4 recurring queer characteres, and several single episode queer characters. to bypass all those in favour of non-canon queer characters, during the month of pride, is frankly insulting.

no one is saying that someone's headcanon is wrong, or that you cannot feel seen and represented by a non-canon queer character, it is just not what is being celebrated in this event.

I don't know who you are and I block about 10+ people per day, sorry. although I don't remember seeing any comment or reblog about "why is this so american centric im so sick of it and i dont care about america" so if I blocked you, it's probably for another reason.

I also cross-block people, so chances are that you might have said something I'm not comfortable with on one of my other blogs, thus I cross-blocked you on all of my blogs, including this one.

I tend to block anybody for any reason to curate my internet experience. it's nothing personal.

This is an interesting question, but unfortunately it doesn't fall under the "what would your Blorbo do" umbrella. Can I include my oc Andorra in this, is Andorra even part of the Iberian Peninsula?

Hi anon, thanks for the ask!

The admins must confess, this was a bit unexpected on our end; Andorra is a part of the Iberian Peninsula so would technically fit within this event and we aren't against OCs being used in works produced for Hetaberia Week.

That being said, this event was originally created with the intention to spread love for Portugal and Spain as minor canon characters. As mentioned, we are more than happy for OCs to be used, but ask that the focus of works is Portugal and/or Spain, as outlined in the event rules.
