So I haven’t talked about this on main before, but the situation in South Gaza has gotten so horrifying that I’m p much throwing caution to the wind to desperately plead for eyes on this. I’m raising awareness about stories from activists in Gaza right now, including one of our own.

My lovely, wonderful friend Swin (aka tumblr user @combaticon) was deployed as a volunteer medic to a Gaza hospital on the 9th.

When the bloodshed started, she heard they needed extra hands in Gaza, she spoke Arabic and had the training, and she went.

I’ve been in contact with her throughout. She’s so incredibly brave it takes my breath away. My heart bleeds for these children she’s taking care of and how resilient they are is… astonishing.

Swin and these poor people have been under siege for so long, and they’re in desperate need of critical supplies. They have to filter water through their clothes, and it’s getting dangerously cold. Foods finally been getting through, but there’s not enough blankets and jackets to go around and there’s no fuel for the generators.

Their comrades in the West Bank have been completely pushed out by settler thugs. It’s incredibly unsafe to even be doing humanitarian work for Palestinians. Remember this the next time a Zionist tells you they’re doing this to ‘feel safe’. The IOF is arming lynch mobs.

On a personal note, this has been the most gut-wrenching week of my life. Every day when I wake up without a text from her I feel so much fear. I fight back the grief but I don’t know how to help or what to do. It’s terrifying.

Swin has asked for nothing, absolutely nothing other than something it can show the people around it to make them feel like they’re not going to be abandoned. To make sure they’re not forgotten in some pit praying Rafah opens before Israel decides to slaughter them all.

Today was a bad day. She’s alive but beyond worrying about her privacy now; she’s asked me to share this and to beg that we not lose steam and forget about them. Please share this, and please keep being fucking annoying and loud and digging your heels in with fury because we cannot let these people die silently.

Крым, Урал, Зауралье, Хакассия, Тыва, Байкал и Прибалькалье. Горы, реки и перевалы. В начале 2018 года, в 22 года, единогласно его избрали руководителем Курганского отделения Русского географического общества. so to answer this one im gonna ramble a little bit abt how i interpret normal aloe and cyborg bc that makes it easier to show how things would be different from the default with their roles reversed

this got long so it’s under a read more:

so honestly i always felt super uncomfortable with how in canon, aloe never apologized to cyborg - cyborg was the only one who gave any apologies, and while what cyborg did wasn’t right, i don’t…see aloe as the primary victim of their actions. 

the thing is that, good intentions or not, what aloe did was awful. like, it doesn’t seem like they ever explained anything to cyborg, to the point where cyborg interpreted the fact that aloe was the one who built their robot body to mean aloe was performing experiments on them, and they clearly didn’t have the augments’ purpose explained to them either. this was a CRITICAL lack of communication on aloe’s part that led cyborg to experience an unnecessary amount of pain and distress and aloe absolutely needs to own up to that. i don’t think aloe and cyborg’s relationship is irreparable - i have a LOT of thoughts on their reconciliation - but cyborg deserved an actual apology and aloe needs to put in the work to make up for it.

this is not to say cyborg shouldn’t have apologized to anyone - i just don’t think that person should’ve been aloe. gingerbrave and the others, yes. aloe??? nah, at least not w/o aloe apologizing. and it makes me really sad that the event ended with cyborg asking for an augment or two, and that cyborg’s max affection jelly says something along the lines of “augments aren’t so bad after all” - it’s like, why even have the scene where cyborg talks about how stressful and upsetting getting augments in aloe’s lab was if you’re gonna then later say it was no big deal AND aloe doesn’t even apologize for any of it? i get it, the story needs to wrap up fast so they can’t show a slow reconciliation, but just having aloe say sorry and then making their max affection jelly line literally anything else would’ve helped

wow i said i was gonna ramble abt my interpretation and instead rambled abt my problems with canon instead. ANYWAY. i see aloe as having not explained anything bc like…when cyborg was revived and their memories were still missing, aloe unconsciously mentally filed them under “still dead”. so they were doing everything they could to get cyborg’s memories back, but they didn’t interact with the memoryless cyborg like they were really a person, which is obviously gonna be deeply upsetting for said memoryless cyborg! they were confused and upset and they needed someone to sit down and explain everything and make sure they’re doing okay, but aloe was too preoccupied thinking that if they can just solve this one issue, everything is going to be just fine and go back to how it used to be, and cyborg would understand. and in the process aloe totally neglected the needs of the cyborg who was right in front of em

cyborg chafed under this and eventually hatched a plan to bust out of the lab, and the rest is history. also in my version of events aloe apologized damn it

ANYWAY now on to what you actually asked about skjdhakjssfdk

ok so my roleswap doesn’t really change their lives that much - the only difference is aloe died instead of cyborg. this is because i hc cyborg as having been an engineer who collabed on ion with aloe before dying, so not much needed to change to swap their roles - they had similar levels of expertise already

so, the story starts off mostly similar - aloe dies, cyborg brings em back to life as a machine, and aloe doesn’t have their memories. where they differ is that while aloe subconsciously didn’t think of memoryless!cyborg as still being the same person they used to know but w/o memories, causing them to neglect cyborg’s emotional needs, alive!cyborg in turn did the reverse and treated memoryless!aloe almost a little too much like their old self.

(im gonna call em roboloe and aliveborg to make this easier to differentiate)

what i mean by that is…while aloe didn’t communicate with cyborg at all, causing them a lot of distress, aliveborg shoved too much information on roboloe at once, causing them to become overwhelmed. aloe gave cyborg way way way way too much space and not enough care, and aliveborg didn’t give roboloe enough space at all. they’d drag roboloe around to stuff they used to do together and to talk to people they both used to talk to, on top of experiments attempting to get their memories back (though aliveborg explains to roboloe what’s going on and is generally more attentive than aloe was to cyborg. so the effect isn’t the exact same as when aloe did this to cyborg, it’s mostly that it’s yet another thing getting placed on roboloe at once). so like…aliveborg has rlly good intentions but the end result is roboloe getting bombarded w too much all at once and it’s very overwhelming. it doesn’t help that i see roboloe as being more timid than memoryless!cyborg was - like i see aloe normally as a smug bastard with a single brain cell they share with cyborg, but without their memories they end up a lot more nervous and easily overwhelmed just in general.

i don’t think, in these circumstances, roboloe would’ve pulled a cyborg menace - instead, aliveborg ends up realizing they’re going too fast and not giving roboloe enough space to process anything, and end up laying off a little. and then eventually roboloe gets their memories back and everything is all good again………..

well...it sure has been a weird couple of months for me. what, with Aliveb- i mean, Wilbur coming back, everyone being on edge, and me being...Like This now, i’ve been...coping, to put it lightly

oh right, i should probably introduce myself to you lovely people! well...most of you probably know me as Ghostbur, but i go by Blue now! it’s...complicated, but i’m here now!

it’s difficult, but i’ll try to explain the best i can: so, me and Tommy went to the Prison so that Tommy could kill Dream, but something...Went Very Wrong, i went to Limbo for a few minutes (the whole thing is a blur to me), but then i just...Also Came Back?? but also with Wilbur?? and i’m..somehow not a ghost anymore?? at least not entirely?? it’s weird

i also had a bit of a Time with my gender! as you can see from my blog description!

things are still tense, even a few months later. no one really knows how to react now that Wilbur’s back, and...we don’t fully get along, but i’m trying. i’m wondering if Wilbur is too...

also, i can remember Bad Things now. i...i really don’t know how to feel about that. it feels really weird to remember someone yelling at me now...

i can also still make blue! not sure how, but i can!

Уже готовимся к встрече и пресс-конференции в Екатеринбурге. А вчера был продуктивный и насыщенный день в Каменск-Уральске. Встреча прошла на самом высоком уровне. Видно вовлечённость в проект руководства города. ☝️Именно Каменск-Уральский первыми внесли Тропу «Путь Ермака» в реестр официальных достопримечательностей города! 1️⃣ Обсудили возможность установление несколько промежуточных рекордов Тропы в Каменск-Уральском и посмотрели обязательные точки прохождения мной в сентябре. 2️⃣ Договорились об установке памятного верстового столба с указанием километров от Перми до Каменск-Уральского. 3️⃣ Оценили готовность отеля Green Hall. Именно в нём буду останавливаться во время преодоления рекордного маршрута. 4️⃣ На пути в Екатеринбург заехали в одну из самых оформленных точек Пути Ермака - «Парк Сказов» в посёлке Арамиль. Резиденция Урал-Мороза. Его, вместе с женой Весной-Красной, не была. Встречала Хозяйка Медной горы. Арамиль удивляет, много нового придумано, сколько удивительных открытий ждёт путешественников. Уже поздним вечером заехали в Екатеринбург, город красив в весеннем цветении. Ждём встречи с активистами и руководством города в 11:00 на площадке «Деловая Россия-Урал». И в 13:00 состоится мастер-класс по северной ходьбе на Плотинке.
