His whiskey colored gaze held a glint of something else — perhaps regret or guilt — but it was quickly masked by his typical demeanor, a mix of playfulness and a sliver of danger.  The comment had been an attempt to lighten the mood, at least a little, to try and soften whatever blows were undoubtedly coming after.  Because there was no way in Hell that Gabe would make it easy on Raguel, they both knew that.  This whole ordeal was always orchestrated against them, always had been, and he would be damned if he was going to be dragged back into the cesspit that their father had purposefully curated to tear the world — and their family — to shreds.

"Oh, I think you already know the answer to that, little brother.  And you can't hop over that line any more than I can," came his steady resolve as he gave a slight nod to the Holy Oil. His expression had hardened just enough to be serious, yet still revealing his disquietude.  Lingering beneath that was the same apologetic look that Raguel wore, an unspoken understanding passing between them.  Gabriel hadn't entered the witness protection program for nothing, and getting caught and shipped back to the funny farm upstairs wasn't in his cards.

There was a long silence that filled the space between them, centuries of their bond floating in the atmosphere like dust particles in an abandoned house.  "You know how this ends for us, Raguel.  Why are you still helping them?"  Then, the trickster continued after a brief pause, searching his brother's countenance for any signs that he might decide to release him.  "What do you gain by ripping me out of my little corner of the world that I carved out?"

Raguel shook his head, standing a safe distance away from the fire.  Despite his happiness to see his favorite brother, he couldn't help the familiar anger that was bubbling to the surface. You're supposed to be my brother... He let out a dry chuckle, feeling a bitterness he hadn't felt in a few centuries.  

"Brother, Gabriel?"   He was much colder than he'd ever been to Gabe.  "You of all people should know blood ties mean nothing in our oh so heavenly family."  

He was pissed.  Justafiably? Yes, but he knew it was wrong to take it out on Gabe.  Gabe just happened to be part of a past and pain he'd been hiding from for so long. There was a time when he had been so close to all his brothers...even when Lucifer and Michael started fighting, he had tried to help them.  Harmony was afterall his duty.  Hell, he hadn't even left because he was mad, but because he met someone...he obeyed Dad's order to love humans more than even him.  But then the Flood happened.   And Gabriel had nothing to do with that.

He took a deep breath and held up a pair of handcuffs, looking sorry but not quite ready to apologize.  "You gonna come willingly down to the precinct or are you gonna make this difficult?"

Hi :3 here's a (used to be roleplay-) idea that my former friend and I had together!

The main storyline was Victorian era Roman/Logan and revolved around them. Like Logan was marrying Roman's sister and the two guys kinda didn't like each other but then had to spend time together for her (Roman wasn't home often as a opera singer so ofc his sister wanted to hang out with him, so Logan was dragged along) and yes unfortunately they did technically cheat (as happened often then) (dont condone cheating personally) but then both guys confessed and begged her forgiveness (she forgave them) (saw Lo as more of a bestie anyway, same way he saw her) (they married to save face, had roman live with them as a Hot Bachelor, she was aro I think)

But there was Remus/Virgil in this too.

Remus was sort of the unloved brother. There were four siblings total (Sister, Roman, Remus, unnamed brother) and Remus was considered the weird and odd one. They're all rather rich and among the aristocracy so it makes sense that he'd be looked at weirdly with his interests. I don't remember all of it.

Then there's this guy. Virgil, his name supposedly is. He's quiet and was born with a messed up leg so has a cane. That's not why he's bitter he's just bitter in general (but we love him). And Remus is just. So in love with him.

Remus technically helps cover Roman's affair by being more gay louder. Virgil doesn't mind being more outwardly gay because he thinks he's looked at weird anyway (ableism should die in a hole) (we had too much realism in this damn rp idea) and also neither spooky gay really wanted to go to the parties or soirees or rich people parties anyway.

I think the spooky gays owned a quaint home close to Roman/Logan (and obvi cool sister) and visited often when everything came out and was understood. They owned rats. Remus was a scientific researcher (think mad scientist) (appropriate for time period) and Virgil was an artist under a pseudonym.

(also the fourth unnamed brother had a wife and they were really sweet and cookie cutter adorable. I'm 99% sure they were also cool with the queerness and sneaking around, even covering for them. I just remember he and his wife were damn cool)

(I'm really fond of the Roman/Logan plot too it was like so heart wrenching to come up with we were INVESTED)

for muses that are teens in canon (and in verses where they're teens, as in versus them in other verses as adults and stuff) it has to be pretty close in ages. but once we're past like 22 i'd say the world is our oyster.

i haven't written any of the teehee on here yet, but i'd say when it get's steamy is like...more than kissing. when you're describing grinding and kisses going places that are obviously to get a rise out of the other muse, or when clothes are being touched or played with or tightening in ways...then the nsfw tag and the read more are implemented. if it's just kisses though, they get steamy but not too much so.

Yes I'm still here and while I'm here I decided to get rdr2 b/c I wanted to rp as a cowboy so fucking bad. Um honestly I don't hate rockstar games recent gta story wise and online play is ass to me movement and thr story felt so trivial to me(this js my opinion after years of thinjing rockstar and gta are relativrly good) but yeah. the only rockstar game i faithfully love is Bully.

and as i play rdr2 i feel like the story is basically like Bully except the entire plot of rdr2 is Jimmy(arthur) and Gary(Micah) going at it the entire game but also using a bit of mislead.

(and yes after arthur got captured by odriscolls i immideitely sused out Micah as being a snake. also i didnt believe a word of a "truce")

And yes i did look up the truth to confirm my suspicions b/c i don't believe in spoilers kinda. But yeah im gonna say a couple things about this game I genuinely think it's a cool and interesting game. I personally can't fathom how ppl thought Dutch was so "wise" and "complex" he basically was some dude that monologued EVERYtime he was on screen. Like I swear to god this dude was just a "head up his own ass" type of guy and it solidifies even more around the ends of the game. (In the beginning I thought he was sort of a good guy but once they sat up camp out of the cold .. I was like this guy is annoying ass shit and I absolutely hated taking orders from him as Arthur lol)

Dutch was basically a dude that thought he knew more than everyone cause he read a couple books and quoted shit all the time. My nigga , u are ultimately a fucking poser. U no better than anyone in the camp ANYONE could've done what he did he just got in the position before anyone else. I swear to god I'd skip so many cutscenes b/c all he did was talk and talk "blowing hot air" and as the game went on he continued to do dumber and dumber shit and everyone just went along with it. I genuinely think it's hilarious a separate job everyone does(robbing the bank) was the most fun mission with main side characters I'd probably had thru the entire game. And all that was pretty much thrown out the game b/c Dutch's plans made everyone have to leave again.

(Him saying "play both sides of the war" was the dumbest shit ever. But ofc everyone still listened to him. Hosea was having a mind of his own but STILL choice to do what he said.) Dutch wanted to play chess so bad but really he was playing checkers ever since they left Strawberry possibly Blackwater as well.

Also I wasn't sure how I'd like the game mostly the main character but Arthur actually has a personality and can be complex more than a lot of the characters ppl call "complex" . I honestly think rockstar could've gone farther with making the story so compelling maybe the main character could've been a woman who is living in the west u know and finds these band of misfits and it could show the struggles of crime and being a woman advantages and disadvantages. Something like that.

I don't think the characters aren't interesting not saying that lol I just think in the end this story didn't want to push further with complex understanding or characters. It's like yes it's a story but it's not here to make u think too much on what's going on. (That's how I felt) since most of the audience I'm assuming were biased players and SURPRISE straight white men.(even though funny enough cowboys were originally black and brown) so I think rockstar made a story just interesting ENOUGH to keep that certain demographics attention. I assume with ppl that assess games and the way the game plays out at times. For example a lot of the times during missions u could do something stealthy but still end up having a trivial ass shootout to "keep the excitement" of the game. A lot of the times that happens and it just annoys me b/c it'd virtually makes stealth pointless unless otherwise.

I'm still trying to finish up the game but rockstar has a tendency to make these games over long for no fucking reason . It reminds me of movies that are like 2hrs long just to have the entire movie be "racism is bad"(Cloud Atlas) or some dumb simple shit like that. So I'm still tryna see what the story this game is tryna tell me or show me but damn it's just taking forever for no fuckin reason TO ME. 💀 also feels like there's so much shit happening in the game that I can't grasp the story at times like there's no rest? Doesn't mean when characters died I didn't care but still

I was even baffled that the crew really went overboard and landed on some tropical island. Sometimes the events in the game seem unnecessary as well. Again adding to the fact the game is over long for no reason. Anyways um cya till next time.

Final Fantasy XVI RP

I just finished the game a couple of days ago and I'm obsessed. I need to write in this universe!

So, without further ado... have some info!

18+ writer with years of experience looking for another 18+ writer.

i don't shy away from dark or nsfw topics; not necessarily looking for nsfw/smut heavy threads by any means, but i can tell you right now i probably won't mesh well with someone who has to fade to black :c sorry.

i'll write over email, in gdocs, or via a discord server. i can't say i have much of a preference for any over the others; i'm also down for ooc over discord and the actual writing thread elsewhere. please note i DO NOT write here on tumblr.

given how recently the game came out and i finished it, i've not written for this fandom before. i certainly don't mind taking any constructive criticism if you think i've misrepresented/misconstrued a canon character.

i'm comfortable with canon/canon pairs and canon/oc ones of any genders/dynamics/orientations (m//, m/f, f//, trans + nb inclusive). if we can agree on a canon/canon pair, then i'm happy to leave it at that. if you'd like to go the canon/oc route, though, i do require us to double; like most everyone who's ever dabbled in fandom rp i won't be stuck writing the canon for the original without a little reciprocity.

i like long posts. how long is long, you ask? i like to stay at least around 3 paragraphs, though i can -- and do -- write more than that. all in all, i'm a mirror poster who enjoys fleshing out details and delving into characters' thoughts/feelings/motivations. my sweet spot is 4-6 paragraphs, but i'm more than willing to write novella/generally longer posts if you're game!

i don't do rapid-fire or one-liners or short, measly little single paragraphs. they make me sad and tend to indicate my partner's lack of interest or effort. that said, if your motivation is running dry and you need/want to stop, that's completely fine! honestly, if you ghost i won't chase after you, though i'll admit to a slight preference that you give me a chance to try and fix things up?

at the very least one post a week; i'd prefer around 3 a week, personally, but ofc irl stuff happens.

everything has to be in third person; absolutely no first or second. i default to past tense, but i'm perfectly fine with present if that's your preference!

so! i'm honestly not super sure about pairs, but i'm more than happy to talk them through with you? off the top of my head, i know i'd be interested in things like:

dion/joshua (it doesn't have to be in the terms of dion's perceived debt to joshua, but there's just such a nice familiarity there, especially after twinside and dion's drowning in guilt; maybe even bringing in memories of them meeting when they were younger)

hugo/benedikta (my favorite amoral duo who both just need to fuck off from dhalmekia and waloed and do whatever tf they want; also, hugo turning benedikta away from barnabas? his actual affection for her takes her by surprise; this dude doesn't actually just want to exploit and use her for his own ends? say whatttttt?)

dion/barnabas (i'm a terrible person; it's fine! :c but the whole dark v light theme? waloed v sanbreque? barnabas' whole crusade to kidnap bearers/dominants?)

benedikta/jill (mayhaps cid comes too late to save jill and benedikta absconds with her from the battlefield? i think they'd be able to relate to one another relatively well tbh, and plus i'd love to see jill a little more assertive/proactive)

cid/benedikta (purely platonic; i'd love to explore that dynamic, flesh out their background more; tbh, it'd probably be set in the background of an actual pair)

cid/barnabas (i’d loooooove the opportunity to explore their dynamic before cid up and left waloed; maybe cid even confided in barnabas at one point until barnabas’ loyalty to ultima comes out and cid feels betrayed? add benedikta into the mix and ooof. lots of drama potential, i think.)

clive/barnabas (especially in the context of clive having just lost to barnabas in a fight? won't master ultima be so pleased with you, mr warden of darkness? but then... wait. why won't you hand over mythos? clive somehow turning barnabas around? you love to see it)

clive/ultima (dark af and i'm not even sorry. but ultima...making it into clive's mind in a botched attempt to possess him? doesn't even need to be romantic or sexual, but just... a fucked up dynamic. ultima hitching a ride in the back of clive's consciousness? more than he already does?)

clive/joshua (shhhhhh. clive literally saying they've become one is just so darn platonic i can't even com pre hennnnnnd. i'd argue clive shows more emotion over joshua than anyone else in the game, and i'd be remiss in not exploring that further)

please note i have zero interest in writing clive/jill :c they're more of a brotp for me. sorry! i'd at least be willing to hear out other canon/canon pairs, but please don't be offended if i don't want to write them :c

i'd also be incredibly down for some canon/oc shenanigans, and ofc i'd happily double! gonna be super basic and ask for my partner to write clive for me tho; could absolutely be down for poly (cough with cid cough) but that's not necessary at all. also, ngl, i'd love to write a leviathan oc (for whom i already have a great deal of ideas...) i know, i know, the medicine girl is who everyone kinda suspects to be leviathan but, shhhhhhh ;o au for a reason, yeah? it's not confirmed anyway.

miscellaneous ideas

dominants v ultima (as it should have been imo; dominants protecting humanity, working together to try and save it instead of clive having to do it all basically alone)

more fallen lore? ngl, i was hit with such similarities from this game and ff12 i was half-convinced it was like, a thousand+ years post-ff12. i know it's not, but it could be interesting to bring in ff12 wrinkles into the fold? all the crysts and crystals and incorporeal beings directing humanity in the directions they want? plus AIRSHIPS. aetherfloods = jagd/myst? we don't have to go in the ff12 direction for more fallen lore, tho.

time-au a la: dominants returning to the time of the fallen/helping in the fight against ultima at dzemekys

some sort of magic that allows the dominants to retain information from previous hosts? warnings about ultima/crystals/the blight/etc?

people have compared ultima and jenova and... lbr. it would be incredibly interesting to see. ultima wants a host? too bad. jenova's cells have infected it; he can't direct it anymore. too bad every time he keeps trying jenova's still there.

these aren't all the plots i'd be interested in writing by any means, but, well. i think i've rambled on long enough. i hope i've managed to pique some interest, and if i have, feel free to reach out!
