What can I say? The Book of Bill made me nostalgic for this stupid ass mistake of a fic and especially for the two fusion blorbos I made up in my brain. Believe it or not, I miss Stepper and Maven so fucking much ya'll have no idea.

Gonna ask this to a few people that inspire me, but how do you take inspiration from things without feeling like whatever you make is just bad in comparison? Or like a downgraded version of the thing(s) that inspired you?

Oh gosh this is such an interesting question since, I dont think I really have feelings of thinking my version is bad? Or that I am just a copy?

I am honestly just grateful my work became as popular as it is in the first place haha- low expectations going in to begin with. That and, I am very aware my art style isnt as defined and polished as other peoples styles, but I have come to terms with this! And hey the improvement in my own artwork over the past year is a massive trip if you go back through some of my older stuff- I am improving, slowly.

I mean, 2AL started by complete accident, and was "inspired" from me wishing the Leos from OMO or MNMC would hug it out already- but if you were to compare 2AL to one of those, they are very different. Hell even comparing OMO and MNMC, same starting point, but still very different.

I think my only advice to other people trying to make an AU is to try and find some core theme/idea and work around that, rather than gather a bunch of little things from other sources you like into a big pile. Find some key message to start up a base with.

My take on the identity of what kicks you out of the dungeons in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon!

My idea is that after getting a full team of level 100 Pokemon and timing out in a dungeon, after the "It's getting closer" message, it would say "You feel strong enough to face it". And enter a boss battle with Magnamaze! Recruiting it would allow you to access Creative Mode where you get to make your own custom dungeons!

So I've been thinking about this ever since Gem posted the colors and hearts and honestly I will be very curious to see if she ends up in Traffic Season 5 and more importantly how she plays... I remember she talked about how she thought it would be super stressful to be in "improv brain" all the time, and I get that and I hope she has fun.

Martyn's also talked about how he tries to go out of his way to set traps or go for flashy kills instead of PVP, saying that he considers himself on the upper end of PVP skills, but he feels like the traps and the flair are more unique for the Life series and he wants to create something that's interesting and flashy to watch (and/or give others more of a fighting chance against him).

I'm not sure if the other creators make an effort to prefer traps - I just know they scaled back OP arrows and enchantments after 3rd Life - but since Gem's set up as someone with a powerful PVP reputation, I'm interested to see if she sticks to what she knows or if she experiments with traps... and how that might impact potential alliances.

Do you dare base with a powerful person who doesn't have the years of established social protocol, and therefore might whip out the skills and slay you for the bit??

I remember her putting in the grind to get diamonds when she was possessing Cleo, and Bdubs seemed a little surprised that she would spend her screen time on that (or at least that was my interpretation)... Is Gem super competitive and will she stock up on trap materials, putting in the grind for resources?? Will she successfully get stuff or will she be pressed for time?

I've seen her in SMPs where you can take your time with the grind and you enjoy plentiful resources, but in the Life series, everything from time to resources to space is super limited. Gotta wow the crowd so spending episodes mining would be risky. What will she do?? idk but this will be interesting

Been thinking lately how since the beginning of this year, I've already somehow written about 80k worth of fic?? Not all of it is published yet, and right now half of that wordcount is from a multichap that I'm writing which I want to complete first before I start posting it to AO3, but I'm honestly surprised at how much I've written lately. The hyperfixation got incredibly real (and the obsession for a new ship just, also got incredibly real) and now the only thing is trying to not get burnout too quickly.

Colloyd Day is just next month though so I'll be working on a fic for that next, and it's part of a collab with Frayed so I'm really excited about it! Despite all my recent writing, I've only shared one Symphonia fic this year, so I'm hoping to change that a bit. There's also other Symphonia fics I've had in WIP status for so long that I'd like to finish someday too...

Also, I kinda want to hit 100k before my birthday this Saturday. Would be cool?? To reach that personal goal?? Wish me luck lol.
