"I'm really glad you both we're willing to actually sit down with me this evening."
"What do you want" -unanimously
"chuckle Well, it's been quite a while that Shadow has been here, I suppose I might've just wanted a review on how it's been whilst you're both present."
"They're a sack of shit. :)"
"And he's a bucket of balls. :D"
"Take that as quite well then? ^^"
"We've been working on this thing--"
"Do I want that to be public knowledge yet--"
"If you're worried I'll share, I assure you I won't tell a soul."
"You know exactly what I'll do to ya if you lie to me again."
"Of course. :)"
"Cool awesome-- Yes I've been working on this thing, Milky here doesn't like going outside too much, even though he's almost certainly regained all of his powers, sitting around with the two of us is where he's most comfortable."
"Your flattering descriptions could use some work."
"Sooo I'm working on a new wafflebot for Mr Milkman here-- Lemme-- go get it--"
"If you dare call me Milkman man you will not see the light again."
"I will not then, Shadow. If I may be curious though, why does Crepe get to say it?"
"Because they haven't crumbled my poor jelly heart into paste before."
"Is the souljam still on your mind?"
"Of course it is--!... I may have realized though, out of all possible options, I didn't get the worst half of a cookie to hold onto it for now, whilst I seize the opportunity another day."
"Of course. :p Is Hollyberry the worst?"
"Fuck her! Yowch, how does Sugar manage--"
Laughter
"Got him! This guy right here, my Blueberry Wafflebot, designed to be remote controlled from anywhere and everywhere--"
"--So that you can explore the world without leaving the kingdom?"
"I wouldn't call it exploring, there's nothing out there I would want to find-"
"^^"
"-but it does mean I don't have to put in as much effort whenever any of you pesky buggers thinks the Beast of Lies can get them out of their magic homework without payment."
"And here I thought the Beast of Lies liked putting on a show every chance they got?"
"Well, the Beast of Lies also needs time to write the story, very little of my plays are improv you know. A good lie requires thought and planning to write a cohesive, believable plot! Improv may have the chance to be entertaining, and does have it's appropriate uses in the telling of a lie, but it ends up with so many holes and errors after just a few moments if you're not careful. I don't like to rely on it if I can afford to spend time on my craft."
"I see, is Blueberry then going to be the one acting on stage then once your next concoction is finished?"
"Perhaps in my redemption arc I caused our dear Vanilly to fall into villainy-- How could you say something so cruel to my face?!"
#waffled au#crk#shadow milk cookie#cookie run kingdom#pure vanilla cookie#shadownilla#not explicitly ship#strawberry crepe cookie#it doesn't help that I'm not a great liar is it#though i am 100% explaining his willingness to be earnest specifically because he's in private#he would never say any of these words if even the suspicion of anyone else was around existed#also in case anyone wants to be offended on behalf of her#i think holly would've found that sentiment hilarious as well and laugh along#nor do i think PV thinks so little of his friends that he has to defend them at every chance#they're hundreds of years old Mr lawyer they're going to be fine having light jabs being poked at them

So headcanon Fawcett was way ahead of their time and also they make there own laws, cause like sure try going into the city and try to enforce straight marriage only or segregation cause like they literally have alligator people who are green blue faries pink nymphs so why would they care I'd someone was dark skinned. Also also someone did once try to go and argue against same sex marriage and was killed by a nymph, and then another one had their head caved in by a centar.
Interviewer: "So, Captain Marvel, I have to ask. Since Fawcett is a city that's been stuck in the 50s, how do you guys feel about same sex marrage?"
*Both Billy and Solomon confused like all the words make sense but put together seems kind of odd* Caption Marvel, confused head tilt: "What do you mean by that?"
Interviewer, slightly confused: "Err like a regular marriage but between two men or two women?"
Captain marvel let's out an 'ohhh' of understanding: "Well, in Fawcett, we don't have tha-" gets cut off by egar Interviewer
Interviewer: "So Fawcett is homophonic and stuck in the past?!?!" excited for a hot controversial scope.
Caption Marvel is even more confused now: "I mean, we don't have a specific name for it. We just call it marriage, like Sue and Sara have been married since I think the 20s?'
*Diffrent Interview with Different Interviewer*
Interviewer: "Since fawceet is stuck in the 50s, did you guys ever stop with the segregation?"
Captain Marvel with a look of disgust: "Ewww no we-" interrupted by Interviewer
Eger Interviewer: "So you guys are rassicst!!!"
Captian Marvel bewildered: "No we never started in the first place, Fawcett has always had a city wide ban on slavery and unlawful containment, no slaves were ever owned in Fawcett we did allow any and all to seek refuge from slavery. The city typically allowed them to stay."
Because really all Fawcett residents knew the city itself was sentient, and if it didn't want you there, you wouldn't last more than 48 hours.
*Diffrent Interviewer*
Interviewer: "What are your thoughts on the possibility of a female president, or do you think women should stay at home like the little housewives from the 50s?"
Captain Marvel offended on behalf of his city: "The founder of the city, the current mayor, is a woman. Her wife enjoys staying at home and upkeeping the house. Neither is better or worse than the other."
Interviewer: "I umm wasn't aware of that...err what about transgender people? Do you think to say about them?"
Marvel sighs: "What does that mean?"
Interviewer: "When someone is born, as say a man and chooses to become a woman, " looks on with intense eyes.
Captian Marvel with raised eyebrow: "So again like the mayor? We just call thoese folks blessed by the fae."
Interviewer looking lost: "I'm sorry what umm what exactly do you mean by that"
Captain marvel now in teaching mode, "So the fae do enjoy tricking people out of their names and legal identities but some people choose to just straight up ask to give their names to the a fae, then they just rename themselves. We have a whole system in place in case you need to make new identification. Also, if you ask one of the nymphs, they might help you with the rest of changing. That's how the mayor met her wife, I believe."
*peoples reactions to the Interviewers*
"Dang, a city stuck in the 50s has apparently been way ahead of the time since its founding."
"So I want born in the wrong era just the wrong city"
"Anyone else planning on moving to fawccet or just me? Hope the city accepts me, whatever that means lol"

Scarlet Lady Top 10 Favorite Characters: Number 9
for @zoe-oneesama
Number 10 Here
Now lets be fair about this. This list is subjective and according to my own personal bias. It’s not about who is deserving or who is “Best Boy/Girl”. These are just the top ones I like and enjoy seeing in the comic. My favorites may not be your favorites and I quite frankly don’t expect them to be anyone else’s favorites in the same order or even on the same list at all. And just because someone is not on my list doesn’t mean I don’t like them or that I don’t find value in them.
This is just a list of the characters I like the most and my reasonings as to why. What makes me like them? What makes them stand out? Because Scarlet Lady has a LOT of really great characters who all deserve a shout out, so these are just ten of them that stuck out to me the most.
And while I am at least attempting to value them here on their own merit in the Scarlet Lady comic as opposed to Canon or its many MANY issues or the differences between the two, it stands to reason that at least SOME mention of Canon is going to be made. That said, I am trying very hard to not rate them based on my feelings from Canon but more on how I feel about them in this comic.
And because naturally I like my dramatic moments, I’m going to do the list in descending order from number 9 to number 1.
So without further ado…
…
…
Number 9: Alya
I love Alya in Scarlet Lady. So much so that I feel bad that she’s not higher on the list, but to be fair, she has some pretty tough competition. And it says something when that’s the case because it feels to me like everyone deserves a spot on this list…it’s just that some deserve it a little bit more.
Alya certainly warrants her spot on this list. She was one of the characters with the fewest changes from her setup in canon and yet ended up with such a major and lasting impact that her canon self can’t match.
But if I have to break down the reasons:
1. Alya is a good friend.
When mention is made of Alya being Marinette’s best friend, SL!Alya is the version that comes to mind for me. And honestly, she’s the image I long had and long wished for Alya of canon.
A friend who is supportive in all the right ways. A friend needing her own level of support. A friend who will disagree with you on points but still be your friend. A friend who can make mistakes and jump to conclusions but you can always forgive because you know she would do the same for you.
In Mr. Pigeon, Alya was willing to throw down with Chloe Bourgeois to defend Marinette’s honor and her hat design. And this was only two episodes after Lady Wifi, where Chloe had abused her power to get Alya suspended over a relatively minor infraction that had literally nothing to do with Chloe except that Chloe chose to be offended by Alya’s incorrect conclusion. Sure, it can arguably be for payback (given how keen Alya was to confront Chloe), but let’s be honest here: after being forced into a position where you are completely helpless at the hands of a bully and even authority figures are not willing or able to step in, most people would hesitate to confront the bully again regardless of whether they know they’re in the right. And Alya arguably didn’t have proof at the time that Marinette’s hat was actually her original creation.
And yet, Alya was going to act anyways. WANTED to act. For friendship. For vengeance. Not quite sure HOW she was intending to take down Chloe in this case, but I imagine it would have landed her in trouble again and she was fully willing to do so on behalf of her friend.
And speaking of her friend, remember Alya in Reflekta? She was excited of the idea of Marinette being a hero and part of me thinks she really pushed the “Marinette is Scarlet Lady” angle because she idolized Scar at the time and very much WANTED her to be Marinette—someone she also adores. Having two of her favorite people be one and the same would have been amazing for her! Sadly (or fortunately depending on your view) that was not the case, but Alya still got to have her moments of seeing her best friend as a hero, and her starry eyes sell it for me. As does Marinette later arranging an interview for her as Marigold—something especially important given in this version, one of the two primary heroes simply has no time for interviews while the other wouldn’t give a blog like Alya’s the time of day regardless of how much Alya did to help promote her.
Plus how in Troublemaker, she got the entire class to come to school dressed in Chat Noir gear to show support for the poor catboy and to help protect Marinette after the way her room and her multitude of pictures of Chat Noir were revealed on live television. Just to try and limit her friend’s embarrassment after her privacy was violated and her crush was outted.
See this? This is the friendship I wanted to see in canon. The ride or die. A counterweight. Supporting each other in reasonable and healthy ways. To be able to say with certainty that when the chips are down, they have each others’ backs. And Alya does.
Then there’s the Love Square—and if the change to the setup didn’t already improve how it went, then Alya’s involvement certainly did.
Part of the reason the Love Square struggled in Canon was because of how forcefully it was pushed with such shoddy foundation, and Alya was the biggest pusher. She forced so many situations out of some misguided attempt to “help” that only ended up creating stress for Marinette, cringe for the writing, and no actual momentum on the progress of the pairing. If you want a metaphor, then let’s describe it like this: If the Love Square is an actual ship and if Alya was a tug boat, she wouldn’t have been helping her ship “set sail” so much as dragging it underwater across the ocean and to its watery demise.
But in Scarlet Lady, Alya is supportive and encouraging—and not in the way where she blows off Marinette’s anxieties or Adrien’s obliviousness and forces them both into a position they’re clearly not ready for only to turn around and be annoyed that it didn’t work out.
No, she was aware of Marinette’s feelings and interests to the point she recognizes Marinette has a small crush on Adrien even before the girl herself did. She also seemed to be aware of Adrien’s crush on her. So knowing this, she tried to help nudge things along. Note I said “NUDGE”.
She knows a spark could be there. So when Alya had an opportunity, she helped to set things up in a way that would give Marinette and Adrien time together to explore that. Not to confess. Not to date. Just opportunities to be together, interact, and see what happens.
Heck, it feels at times like she’s more of Adrien’s wingman than Marinette’s. Especially given the whole bit in Stormy Weather, which remains to date one of my favorite strips of the entire series. Alya was the reason Marinette even made it there in the first place. And when she was picked for the modeling spot, she still tried to influence things to let Marinette take over. Similar to canon, yes, but a notably better feel to it. Better humor. Better outcome.
Which is ultimately what a friend should be trying for. For ALL of her friends.
And by the end of the comic, I can say that Alya is a friend to not just Marinette, but also Adrien and Alix and the other classmates. Yes, even Lila. Which says something given how much she initially despised Lila for the fake interview and how long she held that grudge against her. Going from outright dislike to grudgingly hanging out with to swallowing her pride and giving a real chance to actual collaboration on revealing a major truth.
Now that’s progress.
And speaking of progress…
2. Journalist Has A Point
Look, many a story will have THAT character. You know the one. Whether a detective, journalist, or conspiracy theorist, THAT character is devoted to uncovering the truth, whatever it may be—and usually in the form of plot-relevant secrets and useful information.
So one of the biggest disappointments you can create is having such a character
with all the drive and reasoning to investigate be in a prime position to uncover a major plot point, in which you give them all the resources and all the motivation to make the discovery…and yet have them do nothing.
Or worse, have the truth spoon fed to them instead when it’s convenient. No effort. No drama or antics. No surprise. No real reaction to the revelation. Just take away all the fun why don’t you?
Alya is a major fan of heroes and a journalist in the making. When these things mix, you have a ready-made source of humor and drama in a character with the dual position of he hero’s best friend who doesn’t know her secret and a wannabe investigator who risks discovering the hero’s secret. Normally, such a position would involve a number of antics over a multitude of episodes, with the friend being in a prime position to out the hero and the hero having to regularly come up with ways to distract and mislead the friend in question in order to protect the secret.
In canon, we get all of two episodes that even play with this setup. Two in the four seasons it takes for Marinette to just blurt it out to Alya. Lady Wifi and Pharaoh. That’s it. And of those two, Lady Wifi had Marinette completely unconcerned with Alya’s claim of knowing Ladybug’s identity. No drama. No conflict. No antics. No attempts at misdirection. No introspection or question if maybe revealing the city’s hero is even a good idea. No internal questioning if Alya should be told the secret—if she’s trustworthy or if she would be in danger. No continued attempts to uncover her identity as if Alya had just gotten bored with it. Nothing.
And if you know anything from my previous essays, you know that few things frustrate me more than having a great setup that practically writes itself and doing NOTHING WITH IT.
In Scarlet Lady, that setup is nixed from the start since Marinette didn’t start off as the hero. Instead, what we have is a situation where Alya idolizes the self-proclaimed hero of the city, completely ignorant to the truth that we as the audience were already immediately made aware of: that said hero is Chloe and she is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!
Marinette is aware of her being horrible. Adrien is FULLY aware of her being horrible. WE all know she is horrible. But Alya, like most of the city, is enthralled and supportive of her as the “Hero of the City”.
This change immediately created a whole new setup. Where Alya is a fan of a hero while being ignorant to that hero’s true nature. Where WE know and even other characters in the show know, but it’s impossible to convince anyone else of this truth. I’m sure you all know what it’s like watching any character in that sort of situation. It hurts. But not as much as it’s bound to hurt her by the end.
And indeed it does, as it kickstarts what initially starts off as a funny setup where Marinette and others stay quiet and try to be supportive while inwardly cringing as Alya creates and manages a blog dedicated to the worst person ever sans Hawk Moth and Gabriel Agreste.
Adding to this is that said person won’t give Alya or her blog the time of day. Chloe has no respect or appreciation for the level of commitment Alya has or how much Alya helped her to get her fame, and even calls Alya a “stalker” at one point. (Not that she’s technically wrong to be fair, but bear with me.) This is a testament to Chloe’s view of heroism as a whole and her expectations regarding the treatment she should receive. Nevermind that Chloe’s initial rise to the spotlight was in great part because Alya was the one to put said spotlight on her in the first place. Chloe doesn’t acknowledge favors, only what she is owed.
This puts Alya in a difficult position. Unlike Canon, she doesn’t have the support of a hero to promote her blog. She is a teenager with no preexisting status as a reporter and no real connections or backing for people to take her seriously. And in a world of already established media and tons of fans like herself no doubt also trying to make names for themselves in similar niche areas, she has nothing to really make herself stand out. What ends up working for her is the live footage she gets of the akumas and the battles, which is exceedingly dangerous and puts Alya in danger. But to her, it’s worth it to be able to enjoy her two passions.
It is painful. It HURTS me to see Alya so devoted to someone who I know full well doesn’t deserve it and it hurt even MORE to see how Alya was finally forced to face the truth. Her reaction was real. Her difficulty accepting the truth that we all knew from the start and that Alya could have (and probably should have) picked up on as a journalist if she only investigated everything outside of the “Heroes WOW” light.
But this doesn’t make me look badly upon Alya. It’s not entirely her fault. It’s reasonable that Alya wouldn’t have known. Given Scar’s refusal to work with anyone outside of publications that “meet her standards”, Alya hadn’t gotten to interact closely enough with Scar to really see her “in action” so to speak. Not for some time.
Alya does ultimately end up finding the truth, but it’s not the one she initially went searching for. What started out as a love for heroes mixed with her interest in journalism slowly turned into a realization of what heroism actually is and who the true heroes are…and aren’t.
And with this realization comes a new outlook, new alliances, new goals, and a new plan to reveal the truth about Scar and just who is really the hero or the “sidekick” in the heroes team.
This here? This gives Alya purpose. It also emphasizes her role in the story and the impact she has. Because over time, the thing that most showed her flaws and ignorance became a major strength—AND ended up benefiting the city as a whole.
She was the only person who actively tried to help Chat when he was on the run in Copycat and gave him the info to know what was going on and who the true culprit was (especially important because Adrien had NO way of knowing what was going on or why he was being framed and Scar certainly wasn’t going to help).
She gave Lila and others a chance to share their stories that otherwise never would have been told. Especially notable given Alya’s initial dislike of Lila for her lies, something she continued to hold a grudge over for a long time after.
And as a result, she is a major contributor to Scar’s declining popularity as she helps spread the truth. Which adds a nice bit of irony to the situation that the little blog that gave Chloe her start and that she ignored ended up becoming something so major that it destroyed her narrative.
Alya had been seeking the truth, been blinded to it, struggled to accept it, went out of her way to confirm it, and then shared it. Maybe it’s not as impressive as taking down the akumas directly, but it has a much greater overall impact on the story and helping get some of that sweet sweet karma we’d all been waiting for. And best of all, she does the one thing that many of us have also been wanting for Canon: to have SOMEONE investigate Hawk Moth and realize the puzzle pieces are pointing at Gabriel Agreste.
If only she could have confirmed it a little sooner…
3. Alya as a Person
Alya is a teenager. She is a teenage girl and that shines in Scarlet Lady.
We see her PUMPED at the discovery of heroes in Paris. We see her genuinely EXCITED over the prospect of being a hero. We see her flip her focus and be SERIOUS over serious and not so serious things. We see her unapologetically and hilariously reject Adrien’s pleas for a trade of jobs only to be a hypocrite and turn around and beg him for the same. We see her get terrifyingly ENRAGED at Nino for changing her script without discussing it with her. We see her be PETTY and RESENTFUL over falling for Lila’s lies. We see her be IN LOVE after Animan. Plus how could I not love her sheer GLEE over getting to face off with Nora?
But what really made me love this Alya and put her leagues above canon is her growth. Growth that she didn't really get in Canon. And a lot of that growth was evident through her discovery of the truth that was right in front of her and how she had gone so long without seeing it.
And when she is finally hit with the reality that her hero is no hero and that she was wrong? It’s hard. No kid wants to admit being wrong about anything, but especially not about a belief like that. Not the idea of heroes and not over your hero specifically. Especially when you realize you spent so LONG devoted to something only to find out you were wrong, other people knew, and you could have/SHOULD have known had you really tried to look.
And Alya….did NOT take it like a champ.
Denial was the name of the game. But her growth came in acknowledging that she was wrong, WHERE she went wrong, and taking steps to move forward with what she knew. Not by doubling down and demanding “evidence” that should have been easy to find if she just looked, but by investigating the truth even if it’s one she knew she wouldn’t like. And even if it involved things she didn’t want to do. To this end, she made up with Lila and the two actually ended up working together to change the tide of public opinion against her over time.
Let’s note that: She went back on her earlier promise to herself, forgave and worked with someone that she disliked, and let go of her own pride and resentment in order to get to the truth that she originally never wanted to acknowledge.
Alya in Scarlet Lady plays more of a role in the series than she did in Canon. She wasn’t just “Marinette’s best friend” and “Ladybug fangirl” or a tool or prop for setting up certain scenes where Marinette suffers or Adrinette is given a half hearted attempt.
Alya is her own person. She disliked someone the others like or come to like. She adored someone the others and even we as the audience couldn’t stand. She stood up to her sister for herself and with the backing of her friends. She was silly at times for all that she tried to be serious and mature. She was oblivious and opinionated. She was wrong about a core issue to the story.
And that was perfectly okay.
Not because the narrative said so. Not because anything she did was hand waved. Not because Marinette or anyone else was thrown in as a scapegoat to distract attention away from her.
But because Alya is a well-written character with a personality that makes her a PERSON rather than a prop. Which makes her development into a hero feel rewarding rather than an obligation.
4. Alya as a Hero
Okay, Sapotis in Canon wasn’t bad. It worked as a new hero episode. It worked as the FIRST new hero episode. It made sense for Alya to help corral her sisters. I loved Trixx and his subtle means of testing Alya. It also had Alya getting some personal development as she changes from her initial stance of wanting to reveal her identity as a hero to knowing when to keep some truths hidden.
The problem is that lesson didn’t really stick as Alya goes on to demand a truth from Marinette that isn’t her right to know, try to force Marinette to tell a truth when she isn’t ready to reveal it, and betray Marinette’s trust and reveal the secret just to make things easier for herself and her relationship with Nino.
Gotta say, not impressed with Alya as a hero in Canon. Especially given how much the narrative had gone out of its way to keep portraying Alya as being in the right in each instance she was involved in regardless of what she actually did.
Then there’s the matter of the issue of her getting the Fox Miraculous after everything that happened with Lila and the complete LACK of Fox Vs Fox/Alya VS Lila/Truth VS Lies setup that such a setup would have been primed for. And if they weren’t going to do that or even anything with Alya and Trixx, then what was the point of giving Alya the Fox? There was just really nothing else that came out of a truth-seeker like Alya getting a Miraculous specifically involved in setting illusions and how that could develop her character.
@punchlord has already done multiple evaluations of the characters and Miraculous and which ones would best/least fit and why, and has done so much more detailed and eloquently than I can really offer here. Instead, I want to focus on SL!Alya and the changes Zoe made.
Here’s the thing: we all knew going in that Zoe was going to follow Canon for the most part. She admitted as such. We also knew that some kwami-swapping was bound to happen as a result of the changes to the world. Chloe gets the Ladybug. Marinette gets the Bee. Sabrina was bound to get something at some point that wasn’t the Dog. And yes, Lila too.
But NONE of us were expecting that Alya and Nino would swap their Miraculous AND their hero episodes!
And it worked. It worked so well.
Koki Marina is an awesome hero with such a stand-out look. And the one image of her playing with her fluffy hair always makes me smile.
The changes Zoe made vastly improved the Anansi storyline. Nino deserved his own hero episode that wasn’t just focus on him secondary to an issue for Alya and ultimately accomplish nothing on his own while someone else solves the problem for him...twice. And Alya deserved to be the one to deal with Nora and take control of her life.
The thing is, this was an episode with a lesson that was misplaced. Misplaced andmishandled, much like many episodes in the original series.
In Anansi, the biggest problem wasn’t that Nino couldn’t prove he could protect Alya, it was that Nora was overstepping on Alya’s life in the first place, especially when it wasn’t necessary. She didn’t consider that ANYONE ELSE could protect Alya—even the heroes when it is their job to fight the akumas.
But more specifically, she wasn’t willing to consider that Alya could protect HERSELF. Especially of note considering that by this point in both versions, Alya had been running around and getting involved in the fights with the heroes for blog views. And in Canon specifically, Alya had already been a temp hero—I was surprised and disappointed that Alya didn’t argue more and struggle with NOT revealing that fact in the episode. But I digress…
If Alya was to get a hero episode, this was the better setup for it. And Zoe saw that and provided us that sweet sweet payout, with Alya proving herself and helping to take down her older sister. And just the absolute GLEE she had in doing so. The sort of glee you’d see in any younger sibling getting a chance to take on and show up their older sibling. All the younger siblings out there should know it.
Plus her and Wayzz bonding, omg they are so cute.
While Canon Sapotis was decent (if not a bit frustrating with the lack of lessons for the twins after all their antics), in my view, SL Anansi actually HIT in all the right ways and felt more satisfying overall in comparison as Alya’s hero episode and ESPECIALLY in comparison to the Canon Anansi itself.
It’s a good episode with a stable episode-centric arc, where the conflict starts with Alya NOT really being able to face down Nora alone and only manages to overpower Nora in an arm wrestling contest because her friends back her and take on Nora in a 4 on 1 match and overpower her together. This is highlighted later in the episode when Alya faces Nora alone to buy Marigold time and is shown to struggle. Then gets the power boost through the Turtle Miraculous that lets her effectively take her down save her. Cough. Yes. Just save her.
It’s a very empowering story for Alya. But it plays a bigger role than that, too. It’s not just the start of Alya being a hero, it’s also the point where she really starts to turn things around in terms of the overarching story of the comic.
This episode is the follow up to Sapotis, where the other characters are having a sleepover partly to look after the younger kids but also specifically to try and support Alya as she comes to terms with the realization that her hero is a fraud. Yes, Alya already knew that Scar was horrible by the time Anansi happened, but actually being a hero and having to work with Scar gives her an up close and personal look at how Scar treats the other heroes and how much—or rather little she actually does in a crisis.
It’s also the point where Alya seems to gain more confidence and also direct her reporting to a better end. And by the end of the episode, we really see Alya starting to use her skills to this purpose. This is when we get to see Alya actually BE the journalist she wanted to claim she was.
This? Right here? This goes to show that not only does Alya herself make a great hero, but that becoming a hero helped Alya improve herself as well. Which is something we should be seeing more of in such stories with teenagers gaining superpowers.
So all that being said, SL Alya succeeds where her Canon counterpart fails. The narrative points out when she’s wrong. She learns lessons. She is silly at times and acknowledged to be silly. But through it all, she retains the heart that makes her a good friend and the passion that shows her to be not only a journalist, but a HERO in the making.

Just close your askbox if you won't answer any questions ffs I was really interested in your opinion about San since he's my bias but you never post about him (I've seen you talk more about Jongho??) but obviously you're just another coward hater
Anon, anon, anon...
😔
Things that have happened to me since I've started talking about Ateez on Tumblr.com:
I've had people block me for no reason that I can discern
(we never interacted, and I only noticed because I can't reblog their posts when I see them on blogs of Atiny I follow)
I've had people reach out to me privately, asking me to write some Mingi meta, and to please tag them when I post it, and then block me a couple of days later
(maybe I wasn't quick enough? was that a direct order and my autistic brain just mistook it for a friendly offer to discuss Mingi, and I disappointed them when I disobeyed? Mind you, she's the same person that told me to "go make your own post" when I commented - positively - under her own Mingi meta, and when I apologized to her for being annoying she was perfectly civil and friendly, told me that she loves long comments so why are you apologizing?, complimented my knowledge of Ateez and Mingi, all very polite, until she blocked me after asking for more Mingi meta??? so I AM CONFUSHON like, I really don't understand what they wanted and what I did wrong?? people also told me she's a know fandom bully?????? So maybe I was just ignorant and fell into some sort of trap that I'm too stupid to understand???? idk)
I've seen people liking my posts "in secret" (ie with different blogs, not their Ateez-focused ones) and then not acknowledge my post at all with their Ateez-focused blogs
I've seen people mention my content on their blogs with their Atiny friends, without mentioning me (because maybe it would upset the people that have blocked me? maybe they want to reach a wider audience, and my name would put people off? someway? somehow?)
(Say My Name, Say My Name, SAY MY NAAAMEE)
I've had people that I've interacted with in a very friendly manner suddenly start ignoring me, to the point that I don't tag them in stuff anymore - they won't answer anyway - and don't reblog from them anymore either in case seeing my name in their notes might annoy them (I'm also debating unfollowing them, but I do like seeing their posts on my dash 😩)
And lately *drumroll*
I have received insults, death threats and suicide bait for daring to make a post about Ateez and plastic surgery
Though I'm kind of used to it, because I've already received lots if insults, death threats and suicide bait for the mild criticism I've directed towards San in the past
(I'm sorry to say this, but I've never met anyone as bloodthirsty as San biases? Yunho biases understand he has flaws and even agree with me; San biases stubbornly ignore his flaws, pretend they don't exist, pretend he's just an adorable little kitten and I lowkey feel offended on San's behalf? because his own fans diminish his character so much? He is a man, he is a professional, he is acting)
Though the hate and threats don't disturb me as much as the sudden stonewalling from people
I've started posting on tumblr because I was looking for a community that is just not there on tiktok or twitter (where long meta is impossible). But I'm actually debating going completely silent again or leaving altogether because I'm obviously not welcome
(And I understand why: my comments are always annoyingly long, I do have almost no filter, I am a bother; it makes sense that people on here got tired of me, but I am a human, and it upset me 🤷🏾♀️)
But right now any time I post something I feel guilty about taking up space in the tags. I have to keep telling myself that Atiny will enjoy videos about our lovely boys no matter what, and will just ignore the fact that I posted them, that they are on my blog; we are all adults (most of us) here, so surely they can tolerate that I posted something if they get a silly or hot video of Ateez out of it
And in the midst of all of this, you've been continuously asking me to take a baseball bat to the hornets nest that is San's sub-fandom
If taking some time for myself to recharge and put some distance between me and this community is cowardice, then yes, I'm a coward
(I call it survival instinct lol)
But sending me dozens of asks about the same topic won't magically change that? 🤷🏾♀️
I also really dislike the implications of your comment about Jongho. You seem to think that he's not worth talking about? You obviously think he's less worthy than San
And I just don't vibe with this type of behavior.
#ateez#hongjoong#seonghwa#yunho#yeosang#san#mingi#wooyoung#jongho#ask#anon#i was a happier atiny when i didn't exist as an atiny online#and it breaks my heart a little

OK, lemme think. Lily doesn't really ever show any interest in anyone after getting with Sabah I think. Maybe she would joke about it? But I'd say she's too possessive to actually want to have a threesome.
Sabah, I believe in my heart, longs to have a threesome with Rachel. I don't think she would feel safe enough around Rachel to suggest anything like that until sometime well after Gold Morning though. But the point is, she isn't as possessive and strictly monogamous as Lily. Is Paige her type? No, I don't think so, not in terms of looks. They might get along personality-wise though, and Paige's power would probably intrigue and scare her, and she does seem to be into dangerous women.
There's the complicating factor that Paige is 25 at Gold Morning and Lily is 19. Paige wouldn't have known that of course, with Lily in costume (and even out of costume, I headcanon that Lily looks older than she is, especially standing next to Sabah) but it may have been a factor in Sabah getting offended at Paige propositioning the two of them. Also, Paige is a convicted violent sex offender who was basically sentenced to death for it. Assuming Sabah heard the story, but never looked into the extenuating details, it's understandable that she'd be a bit upset—to say the least—about this woman propositioning her teenage girlfriend. For that matter, Lily might've been super creeped out on her own and/or Sabah's behalf as well.
So, assuming Paige approached them again after Gold Morning, explained that she'd misunderstood things the first time, explained the details of her case, and asked—for real this time—to have a threesome, what would Lily and Sabah say? Lily would just be a straight up no I think, and Sabah would probably be a no as well. But with the right kind of weed in her system, I could see Sabah flipping to a yes in a purely hypothetical scenario.

She's My Husband (Part 8) ❤️
Miles Maitland x yn (AFAB Genderfluid)
I was quickly set on the couch, Miles instantaneouslu fauxly checking me over as the red head stood to straighten himself. Miles' eyes never left mine as he did, an odd pleadfull passion in them that I'd never seen before. One I could only closely place on... jealousy?
As soon as he stood straight, the Bobby's began speaking with him, reluctantly pulling him to sit at the coffee table. Thus giving the ambitious mustacheod man the perfect opportunity to sit opposite me, and begin entertaningly visiting.
As time carried on, Miles was quite distracted with us. Him and they weren't talking of anything of much importance- just salaries, taxes, and home life really.
My fellow did a great job of entertainment on my behalf however, funnily, it turned out his name was Ginger. "Now, watch closely dearest- the coin shall disappear" he grinned, as he pulled a large coin from his pocket.
Magic tricks were always a beloved past time, and I must confess- never had I seen anyone perform them better than Ginger that eve. He used the most common things about us and charmingly manipulated them to his desire. Cards were by my favorite. In all honestly, I found I was enjoying myself.
The night carried on till about a quarter past seven, Miles warming the police a bit with liberal glasses of brandy. They had grown a bit tipsy and began telling about all sorts of odd things.
Ginger had grown comfortable with speaking openly at that point, and began telling me of who he was in relation to the case. "Oh no, I have met Aggie and Nina many times. I basically know all about gang. Yes, in fact Nina truly considered me for suitor before closing that cheap Adam." "Cheap Adam?" I nearly exclaimed, almost forgetting my role. "Yes, no offense intended but he is quite the jobless hobo in my opinion," he told emotionless. "I'd think not sir- Adam is a very good man and loves Nina very much," I stated much more collected.
Ginger just hummed in reply, before studying my face for a moment.
I shifted uncomfortably under his gaze, before he at long last muttered, "My- and to think you could possibly want to be a man." The blood drained from my face and I crashed into the realization that he truly knew who I was. The statement could've been a play, a fishing, or a an honest reaction to an abstract statement of Aggie's- yet, I felt the heat of my face increasing by the moment.
I quickly seen that he held the statement as true and continued on unaffected. "My dear, you only wish such things because you have never been truly treated as the lady you are." He grinned warmly at the end, and leaned in to stroke the side of my ever reddening cheek.
"Wh-whatever are you talking about?" I attemped to continue my role- a mix of raging anger and lustrious allure both threatening my continuance. He laughed lightly and retracted his hand. "You deserve a real gentleman y/n, this twinkle-toes Maitland boy won't be man enough for such lady as yourself. You need to feel like a woman, be treated so. You know that deep down, my lovey."
Though his advancing address was awfully attractive, I had never felt more infuriated and offended. For a moment, my act was gone.
"How dare you- and don't call me that," I exclaimed though the Bobby's were much too brand-ied to notice and continued talking to the ever bored Miles- who also didn't notice. "I'm sorry to razzle you my dear. I just couldn't help but tell you the truth of the matter," he cheekily smirked. I calmed myself a bit and said in reply, "The truth of the matter is I have a love and am quite comfortable with he & I the way we are- thank you very much."
He grinned and resumed his prior position, gracefully folding the cards between his hands impressively. "What is your role in this all?" I at last asked, though the question was quite dangerous in itself, I wantd to know.
He maintained his demeanor and stated, "Aggie signed me as her representative citizen to share the unfortunate news." I hummed in response, and looked about the room. Ginger then commenced to tell of one of his adventures during college to Africa, which to my frustrations- was very captivating.
Miles was beginning to grow quite restless as one of the cops dozed off loudly and the other went on about things. But at one point the Bobby took hold of his shoulder and began a statement that quickly captured Miles' attention.
"Laddie, the miss of yours..." he trailed off, causing Miles to gaze at me for a moment and back to the policeman interestedly. "... one like 'er only comes along once in yer life, boy. I see tha way you eye 'er. An' the way she looks to you. You love 'er, lad. And she thinks the moon o' you. Don't let that ever go. No ma'er want comes- an' let me tell you, after near thir'y years of bein' married, toubles are alway'a coming. But hold on to her lad, and she'll hold on ta you, and toge'er there ain't nothing that'll bring ya down. Not even death 'erself." Miles blinked and brokenly nodded.
"An, and" the Bobby added, "Bring her joy in the things that mat'er most lad. They aint jus' flowers, but holding 'er hand. Not jus' tha bed, but praying with 'er every chance ya get. Not jus' proper laughs, but huggin' 'er after tha bigges' argue'n you ever had in yer life. That's what gets ya through lad. Love'n no ma'er what."
With that he man stood and shook the other Bobby awake. Ginger started up and they bid us all a good evening as we walked them to the doorstep. "Ya mind what I said now laddie," the one Bobby turned to us, "Good nigh' miss." Ginger mischieveiously grinned a, "Till next time lovey," and they were gone.
Miles and I stood in the entrance in silent shock of it all for a moment.
"Well, am I exhausted!" I finally sighed. 'You don't say," he said almost question-like, as we finally tore our eyes from the door. "And my goodness dear, you should be an actor!" He exclaimed causing us to laugh as we both collapsed onto the couch into eachothers tured embrace.

The former headteacher of a French school has revealed the shocking sequence of events that led to the beheading of Samuel Paty by a Chechen refugee.
Audrey F told the court in Paris how she had tried to stop a row spiralling out of control that began with a 13-year-old student lying to her parents.
What began with Samuel Paty giving a lesson on freedom of expression in October 2020 escalated when the father of the girl, who had not even been in the class, turned up at the headteacher's office with a local Islamist activist.
"I didn't manage to protect him," Audrey F said of her late colleague - a well-liked history and geography teacher in the Paris suburb of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.
"It's such an enormous waste."
The row tragically ended with Paty's murder outside the school by 18-year-old Abdoullakh Anzorov, who was shot dead by police at the scene.
Trial begins over beheading of French teacher
Beheading of teacher deepens divisions in France
The girl, known in court by the initial Z, had just been suspended by the school for two days for repeated absence and rudeness.
That was not what she had told her parents.
The girl claimed she had confronted Paty in a class she had not attended, falsely alleging that he had told Muslim students to leave the room while he showed "naked" images of the Prophet Muhammad.
Although the mother of another girl had phoned the school in tears, Audrey F said she had called her back, with Samuel Paty also on the call, and said the mother appeared reassured.
In reality, three cartoons published by a French satirical magazine had been discussed in class, and Paty had said anyone who felt they might be offended did not have to stay.
Any depictions of the Prophet Muhammad are considered highly offensive by Muslims. But there had been no attempt to target or exclude Muslims students.
The following morning, Audrey F was told that the excluded student's father Brahim Chnina was outside the school with another man, Abdelhakim Sefrioui, who wrongly claimed to be acting on behalf of French imams.
The pair were demanding action against Paty, who they condemned as a "thug" and wanted removed.
Audrey F said that while she had tried to focus the conversation on the girl's exclusion from school, Abdelhakim Sefrioui had taken the lead, refusing to allow freedom of expression to be used by a "thug".
The murder of Samuel Paty, 47, shocked France and came five years after militant Islamist gunmen murdered 12 people at the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo which published the original cartoons.
Abdelhakim Sefrioui and Brahim Chnina are accused of identifying Samuel Paty as a "blasphemer" in online videos and of involvement in a "criminal terrorist" group and complicity in "terrorist murder".
They are among eight people on trial at the court in Paris who all deny the charges against them, while not denying their involvement in the case.
The other six include a pair accused of helping the teenage killer and others who are accused of egging him on on social media.
Audrey F, who has left France to teach at an international school in China, told the court that she had felt the next day that the situation had now become a problem and "something is not right at the school".
Two videos appeared on social media, one from Brahim Chnina in which his daughter repeated her lies about the class, another later from Abdelhakim Sefrioui, naming both Samuel Paty and the school.
"By now I was very worried, not specifically for Mr Paty but for the school," she told the court.
On the advice of a superior she went to the police with Samuel Paty, where he filed a complaint, and contacted the local authority.
The geography teacher was urged to stay at home until the school holidays which were only days away. He refused to do so and Audrey F did not insist.
Threatening emails were sent to the school and there were anonymous phone-calls too. A police car was parked outside the school for several days.
On the final day of half-term, at 16:45 on Friday 16 October, Samuel Paty was stabbed and decapitated by the 18-year-old Chechen refugee outside the school.
Brahim Chnina's daughter has already been convicted of making false and slanderous accusations, while five other teenagers have been found guilty of taking part in a group preparing aggravated violence.
When asked in court what Abdelhakim Sefrioui and Brahim Chnina could have done to calm the situation, Audrey F said nothing would have happened if they had not posted videos online.
Regretting that she had been unable to protect her colleague, the former headteacher said: "I tell myself that if there is justice, perhaps I'll manage to move on."

This might be a silly question, but why did Skylar put up with Sirius? He was (still is) such an asshole to her, why did she continue to sleep with him? From what I remember, she told James that she had some sort of British kink, but I don't understand why she dealt with Sirius longer than necessary to live out her fantasy. (I'm not trying to blame her here, and maybe it's just because she wanted to have casual sex, but she seems so clear about what she wants, and I don't see her deal with a prick if she's annoyed by him ?)
On another note, thank you for all this amazing chapters, they are incredible <3. I love love love all the friendships you write (huge heart to Remus because he is amazing)
Not a silly question at all!
To be fair, their arrangement only lasted for four days, and she slept with him because she wanted to have sex. In that sense she is a lot more like Sirius than she is like James because she does not require emotions or intimacy to get laid if she wants to get laid. She was an asshole to Sirius too, deliberately pretending to be bored during sex, insulting him about his lifestyle and telling him he was physically deficient, etc, they each gave as good as they got, I don't want anyone to think that she is an innocent victim of bullying because she isn't, that was the dynamic that they mutually decided to settle into because both of them enjoyed insulting each other. If they hadn't expended so much energy on that they might have had some of it left when they were actually boning down.
She also really wanted James the whole time and was, on some level, keeping the pathway open in case James ever changed his mind, which Sirius knows, and although he doesn't care enough to be offended on his own behalf, he's offended on James's behalf instead.

Here we go, the reason why Kai constantly calls people by wrong names:
Using a name wrong even though you have been told the right one is a common abuse tactic. At first, it is a devaluation technique meant to make the individual feel less significant. This is also related to them not mentioning your name. He deliberately picks names and nicknames to build a certain role for them and to build a bond with them; this is why he only does it with specific individuals and not with everyone he knows. Kai wants approval and recognition because he thinks he is better than other people. Moreover it’s because his inflated sense of self and superiority complex will not let him. Kai is unwilling to give anyone significance other than himself unless it has a deeper meaning, and addressing someone by name gives them significance. He called Bonnie Bonnie because he wanted to leave the prison world, referred to her by name, and valued her because he needed her to act on his behalf and assist him.
Kai aims for dominance and control, which is a common method used by many to exert control over others. It involves making them feel insignificant and exposed during interactions in order to minimize the significance of other people. In some cases, he is okay with using someone is name until there is some sort of conflict or they are somehow offended, at which point he dehumanizes them.
He establishes an emotional distance in this way, which makes you feel more powerful. People, to him, lack identities, they are tools that he uses, they are not people. Calling someone by their name makes them important, mispronouncing it devalues them and helps him avoid emotional accountability. Saying someones name establishes a connection that he does not feel comfortable with because prior connections have hurt him, have shunned him. It is an emotional shield, to reserve himself and devale the other. He wants to diminish their self worth, he wants them less than him, he wants to for them to feel unheard, unappreciated.

a couple of things
Hey friends,
I just wanted to say a couple of things about the Goncharov joke I made the other day:
First, I do not regret it, because I still think it’s hilarious.
But more seriously...
I didn’t try to edit IMDB. It’s a public record and it’s important that we don’t vandalise those. The only reason to try and change or annotate a public record is when they are wrong, and then it’s really important to try and get it changed or annotated. In this case, I just did a very quick editing job with Paint.NET, my free art app of choice.
I waited until Lynda Carter (or her team on her behalf) had already made a joke about Goncharov to show they were in on it, and probably wouldn’t be confused or offended. Once I saw they were likely to get the joke, I went ahead with it.
Once I had posted, I didn’t flag it with Lynda Carter or her team in any way. It’s generally a bad idea to pester celebrities with your own fan works for a lot of reasons -- it can overwhelm and offend to start with, which is reason enough, and what I was concerned about in this case. But depending on the fanwork it can also have legal implications (eg. if they are a writer and you send them a written fanwork, it opens them to a possible copyright infringement lawsuit if they come up with a similar idea off their own bat later). In this case, I just tagged it “Lynda Carter” and she or her team likely found it that way. I’m tickled pink that they did and also thought it was funny and worth a reblog, but it’s not something I sought out.
I also made some changes to the screepcaps I used in the post, which were from Starsky & Hutch. I generally always make some kind of edits to screencaps so they are transformative works. In this case, I changed the colour-grade so they looked more like the right genre, and did a bit of cleaning up and cropping because I just got them from YouTube and the quality wasn’t great.
I wanted to make this post because I’ve seen a few people in the tags wonder who had changed IMDB to add Goncharov to Ms Carter’s page. Maybe they were just making very meta jokes, but in case they weren’t -- I didn’t change anything and IMDB’s entry for Lynda Carter is still barren of Goncharov.
Please don’t try to change public records for a joke. It’s a very terrible idea.
If you see anyone confused by the Goncharov joke I made, please direct them here to put their mind at ease.
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the joke -- seeing the notifications come in has kept me amused for days now.

how about a lowlander drabble? mishka (cutely) asking him for something and jk is like AS YOU WISH MY TINY QUEEN (that one scene of her asking him to buy her a chicken is one of my favs)
OR mishka not wanting to do a chore (because she’s HIS spoiled princess!!) and jk telling everyone to leave her be 🥰 if his woman doesn’t want to do something then she shall not do it because she can do no wrong in his eyes 🥰 (remember his mother telling him ‘you spoil her too much!!!’)
Story: after The Lowlander, OR Series Masterlist Characters: Jungkook & Mishka Words: 3147 CW: references to sex, sex toys, language
The market of Treviso was only slightly more tame than the small, lawless one they’d walked through on Llomeryn. Mishka had wanted to see the famous pirate haven and against his better judgment Jungkook had agreed, but after two nights even she had suggested they return to the mainland. Forty-eight hours was all he could promise her without fighting anyone who looked at her, and people really wanted to look at her like that, followed by their hands and words no one had any right to speak to her other than him.
But Treviso was better, still a little lawless, colorful, varied, bustling and bright and dirty and smelling like the saltiest dead fish, but also not yet any corpses to step over in the market and they’d made it almost a whole day without seeing an unprovoked brawl. Far fewer tits out but Jungkook hadn’t pointed that out to Mishka. Didn’t seem like something she would find relevant or amusing and on second thought, she might decide it was time to take hers out and then he’d be brawling again. Which he hadn’t done in Llomeryn!
All right there had been one fight in the tavern there but he hadn’t started it! And then someone had offered him coin to fight again and suddenly Mishka decided they’d had enough of Llomeryn.
He felt bad, in case she had wanted to stay in Llomeryn longer, so he was humoring her with a trip through Treviso’s high-end market. He’d even dressed up for it, per her request, letting her braid his hair and wearing the suit she’d picked out for him in the Free Marches; he liked the red color better and besides, the blue one they got in Ferelden was too hot. Apparently she wanted him to have at least one nice outfit from each country they visited. Why was fucking beyond him, but she’d already dragged him to a tailor here and in a few days he’d be the owner of several blousy shirts and velvet vests and some leather breeches he had to admit were pretty nice. There was a leather vest too, and the ease with which he could move in it was remarkable –but the weather was hot and dry up here and never got very cold; he’d only be able to wear it during the short summer at home and, to be honest, he didn’t want it getting sliced up. He’d save it for special occasions–
Not that he admitted any of this begrudging interest in the clothing to Mishka. So what if he liked to look nice by her side? She moved through the market as brightly shining as she had that first faire he’d seen her at, when she’d captured his heart with a laugh. People looked at them less here than they had in Ferelden or the Free Marches, and while he had noticed far stranger couples than the pair of them, he was offended on Mishka’s behalf. The sun followed her; shouldn’t everyone stare? But they better not, if they knew what was good for them.
All sorts of people gathered in Rivain. It was the most boiling pot collection of people he’d ever seen in his life, even a couple Avvar –not anyone he knew– and tons of elves and dwarves and Qunari. So another Avvar and even a beautiful little elf didn’t attract too much attention.
Mishka stopped walking and he was so busy glaring at anyone who might look too long that he almost knocked into her. Unbothered, she darted to the side, going right for a table full of sparkly and velvety things.
Jungkook hesitated, shocked by very obvious dildos on the stall shelves behind a very voluptuous woman boredly tossing a coin purse in her hand. Her corset squeezed tight around her waist, absolutely spilling her out of her threadbare top. Mishka would look good in it, even though her tits weren’t nearly that big, but he’d still like to fall into Mishka’s chest–
“See something you like, handsome?” the woman asked, turning her side to him. She posed in a way obviously meant to be seductive, but he thought she might actually be laughing at him as she gestured with her arm to several impressively large and oddly shaped dildos.
“My wife,” he answered gruffly, and slid close to Mishka. The woman laughed loudly. He hated her laugh, loud and sharp. He didn’t like the flirty way she looked at his small wife, whose attention was locked on the array of bracelets laid out. There were several dozen, some with shiny gems, some of brightly polished links of metal, some made of such deep velvet they seemed to be made of shadow. Mishka ran her fingers down one of several ribbons studded with spikes.
“You like those sweetheart?”
“They’re all right,” Mishka shrugged. Jungkook bit the inside of his lip so as not to smile. He had learned that Mishka was a hardass when it came to marketplace negotiations. They had paid next to nothing for a dagger he liked in the Free Marches after she had the vendor questioning probably all of his beliefs and existence and ability to make good products. Granted, Jungkook always wondered if there was an element of Mishka being the most beautiful little thing and everyone wanting to cave and give her whatever she wanted, but when he’d suggested that to Jimin and Marcus once they had laughed in his face and accused him of being “whipped brainless.” As if they too didn’t give in to nearly all her demands!
But even if her market skills had some to do with Mishka being adorable, it also was because she was a shrewd, demanding, take-no-prisoners negotiator as long as business concluded before she actually got pissed. He loved watching her and knew by now about the twitch to her lips and the sparkle in her eye that revealed she really loved something despite the derogatory way she’d talk about it to the vendor –as if she’d be doing them a favor of they let her buy it and get it out of their sight.
He saw the lip twitch and the eye sparkle now. He wasn’t surprised; the sparkly gems and shiny metal and lush velvet were exactly the luxurious trinkets Mishka pretended not to care about because they often didn’t fit into their budget. Mishka was strict about the money on their travels, shrewd with where she let them splurge, because they’d need to travel down to meet her brother for more money if they ran out, or sell somethings –or let Jungkook take a few mercenary jobs, which she seemed oddly opposed to for a woman who’d married a great warrior.
She picked up one with bright jewels strung around the ribbon and slid it over her hand; the ribbon stretched for her hand and then nestled around her wrist.
“Little elf…” the woman running the stall laughed. “Those bracelets aren’t for–”
“I know, but I can’t exactly try it on there… well, can I?” Mishka argued with the woman.
“Hm… I wouldn’t say no,” the woman. “In fact, I encourage it. I can help with fit.” She winked.
Jungkook didn’t understand. The bracelet clearly fit Mishka just fine. The jeweled one wouldn’t be the one he’d pick; he thought the plain ones would actually look nicer, but he wasn’t a woman and Mishka was particular about things –though he did usually have good luck picking things she’d like. He prided himself on it.
“I’m sure you can but I’d scratch your eyes out,” Mishka snorted.
Jungkook was confused about what the shopkeeper had done to earn such a threat but wondered if Mishka was just jealous that the woman’s tits were practically out. He slid his arm soothingly across Mishka’s stomach and made a point of looking away from the stall, not at the woman. He liked when she was jealous but he also liked reassuring her that she didn’t really need to be. Her tits weren’t as big but they were still the best tasting in his mouth and the prettiest to look at and just the right size to massage in his palms when he took her from behind.
“Those can be tied,” the woman explained, “to fit a range of sizes. Those stretch to suit…” She held one up; Jungkook noticed in glancing over his shoulder but it clearly wouldn’t even fit over Mishka’s hand.
Mishka rolled her eyes, “it’s none of your business but obviously not.”
“A good fit is important. Tight but not so tight–”
“How much are they?” Mishka interrupted. Jungkook’s eyebrow raised. Not that he was opposed to her getting pretty things for herself, but she’d been so adamantly frugal on their trip so far. It piqued his interest to know she was willing to splurge for these.
But the prices the woman rattled off didn’t agree with her and Mishka huffed, “Pah, that’s robbery. I won’t bother.”
“Robbery? You think just anything will work? The last thing you want is a gem falling off and getting fucked in, yeah?”
Jungkook could not understand any scenario in which that would happen after a gem fell off the bracelet, but he also found it fascinating to watch Mishka negotiate and knew better than to intervene, in case this was a lead up. He listened as Mishka suggested another price.
Annoyingly the woman refused it. Hard no. Price is firm. Jungkook didn’t like hearing that anymore than Mishka did, except he felt a little more inclined to pay it because, well, Mishka wanted one.
Mishka turned her back and resumed walking. Jungkook followed after her, hand reaching up to tangle in the long curly ends of her hair just above her ass. She didn’t even look back, but he glanced over to confirm the merchant wasn’t calling them back to take the offer after all.
“Marguerite, you want one?” he stopped her once they were out of sight.
“Hm?”
“Let’s go back and buy one. I will pay what she asked.”
“What?”
“The price wasn’t too high.”
“The price was crazy.”
“It was worth it.”
“You think so?” she asked, face screwing up adorably. “No, it was too much…”
She looked to be deliberating, which clearly meant she wanted one and his precious wife was simply trying to be frugal. Damn that! Jungkook was angry now.
“Which one do you like? Go pick it up now, I will threaten her down or pay the price, I don’t care,” he said, already turning her around.
“Jungkook, no, we don’t need it–”
“Need? Who cares! You want it and you don’t ask for much, my mishka–”
“I ask for things all the time,” she laughed. “I can live without–”
“You will not live without it,” he insisted. “Have we come to this? My woman walks away from something that makes her face light up? We have the money for this place.”
“Well… yes–”
“And if we need more money, I’ll kill someone to get it–”
“We agreed no mercenary work!”
“You don’t worry about it, that is not your place, woman,” he grumbled.
She scowled and yanked on his hand, “Yes it is, I’m not just your woman I’m your partner and I was only curious about the– stop pulling me along, it’s all right. I don’t know even know if you’d like it–”
“I am your man, if you like it, I will like it.”
“Oh. Um…” She looked surprised, and then grinned, “Really? I wasn’t sure…”
Now he felt like an asshole. Mishka didn’t think he cared about her getting to wear lovely things? Yes, he preferred her with nothing on, but he wanted her to have all the lovely things she could dream of! Someday they would return to the Hold and he would drown her in the luxuries of the Avvar but those were different than the luxuries of Rivain and Orlais and the Free Marches and he wanted her to have those too. He’d give her the whole world and all its jewels if he could.
At the merchant he bellowed in common tongue, “Woman! We will buy whichever one she likes!”
The merchant did not seem surprised to see them back. She leaned seductively over the table and grinned,
“Oh, had a little chat, hm? Wasn’t sure you were the type who’d be into it… can always tell the good ones by how much they want to please their lady.” She winked and grinned at him. Mishka growled low in her throat and grabbed one up, the jeweled one. Then she paused and looked at it in her hand. She looked slowly up at Jungkook.
“Really? You think we should get it?”
“Get two!” he said, grabbing for one of the velvet ones that looked small enough for her dainty wrist.
“That one’s too small,” she argued, picking up another jeweled one. But selfishly he wanted the velvety ones and scoffed,
“This will look nice.”
“I’d wager all of them will look nice,” the merchant insisted.
“You like that one?” Mishka asked with surprise. She reached out to brush the green velvet. “You prefer red.”
“This one matches your eyes.”
“Ah, that does make sense to coordinate… all right, those two then–”
“Get that one you like too,” he said.
“We don’t need three–”
He caught her chin and tilted it up to him, “You and the gods gave me a second chance to be your man and I will not waste it. I will give you anything you want or die trying–”
“There is the risk of that,” the vendor offered. “Perhaps I should show you how to–”
“I will gut you,” MIshka hissed at the woman. “Just the three, I’ll give you the coin–”
“I will buy them,” Jungkook argued, hooking coins from his own purse.
“Since your husband is so eager, maybe I can offer you–”
“Yes,” he waved his hand, not even looking at what the woman said, but he had a point to prove. Whatever Mishka wanted, she got, and he hated that she had assumed that wasn’t the case, like he was going to make her beg or cry or miss out on these bracelets just because they were frivolous! Not that he didn’t love her begging… maybe she would humor him and beg for something else later tonight… it was easy to spoil Mishka when she was always so grateful later.
He smiled thinking about it as they walked off, the purchases tucked into Mishka’s satchel. But, realizing she hadn’t put one on yet, he frowned,
“Why don’t you put one on now?”
“Um…” Her eyes went wide. “You’re that eager?”
“I like when you wear pretty things, Mishka,” he said, voice low as he crouched down to be near her ear. “Put the velvet ribbon one on so I can take it off later.”
A little chirp came from her mouth, not unlike the sound she made when he surprised her with a hard thrust. Except this one was followed by a very different kind of smile as she gasped,
“But they’re for you to wear!”
“Huh?”
“No… oh, Jungkook,” she giggled, covering her mouth with her hands. “You don’t know what they are?”
He didn’t like to feel like a fool. He stood straighter and glowered down at her.
“Bracelets,” he said, confused how they could be anything else.
“They’re cock rings.”
“Cock rings,” he repeated.
“It’s sort of a bracelet… for your cock,” she explained.
“Why would I want a bracelet for my cock?”
“Well because it holds it tight and makes it extra hard… it can make you last longer– you’ve never heard of a cock ring before?!”
His gaze narrowed more as he demanded, “How do you know of this, little one?”
“The whores I fucked in Orlais taught me about them,” she beamed at him. “And now I get to teach you about it, I see! Oh, this makes it so funny though… I was surprised you were so insistent but I thought maybe you were just up for something fun when we fuck!”
“I… I am ‘up for fun’ when we fuck,” he grumbled. “I like to have fun when we fuck.”
“This will be very fun–”
“You used these with another man?”
“Oh. Well… remember I told you I was having a hard time climaxing with anyone and they’d get worn out and tired–”
“By the gods, woman!” he groaned, torn between the rage of jealousy and the urge to drag her back to their flat this second and show her something better.
“Not that you have any issue with that,” she giggled, eyes glistening as she grabbed his arm. “But obviously I want to play… I want to see how your cock looks with one on. I want to see how hard you can get and if it feels any different when you cum–”
He breathed out heavily through his nose, then turned her around on the street.
“Fine, woman. Let’s go now.”
“Right now? We haven’t even had supper yet!” she laughed.
“I am only hungry for one thing.”
“You’ll really let me put one on your cock? You aren’t afraid? Some men are afraid to have something tight like that,” She was teasing. He could see it, and so now of course he was not going to admit he wasn’t wild about the idea. But if she wanted it… and if it did make him bigger and harder, that would be impressive. She was laughing again, “I thought that’s why you wanted the one that matched my eyes! So when I suck on you, we’ll match.”
“Yes,” he agreed. “Yes, we’ll do that first.”
“My brave man. You’re walking very fast! I really want to see the jeweled one though, your cock will look like a king.”
“Will that one not hurt when I fuck you?” he realized, thinking about it now, picturing it in precise and exquisite detail.
“The crystals are rounded. I think if the large one is positioned just right it will bump my clit just so.”
“We have much to learn,” he grinned eagerly.
“I hope you aren’t going to regret spending so much now that it’s just for sex and not a pretty trinket for me.” She was teasing him again. The flush in her cheeks was obvious though; her anticipation made his even worse.
“I will fuck you until I feel like I have my money’s worth,” he shrugged.
“You made me sound like a whore!”
“No, wife, don’t cry at me. You’ll still be the prettiest jewel on my cock.”
“Ah, that was very clever,” she laughed, and tugged his arm, and urged, “Come on, Jungkook, let’s run faster. I want to play.”
Jungkook would give Mishka anything she wanted for the rest of their lives, and so they ran.

Omega!Narutoverse Future Family Headcanons
This is a compilation of my headcanons about future families for my favourite Naruto boys (excluding Kakashi who is childfree in my headcanons.)
This is very long, so I’ve put most of it under a cut <3 Enjoy~
Naruto: : 4 children – Son (omega), adopted daughter (alpha), twin sons (betas).
Has his son about four years before he becomes Hokage.
His son is a huge daddy’s boy type and clings to Naruto every chance that he gets.
Naruto never lets his role as Hokage take him away from his son any more than absolutely necessary. Does he take his son into his office? Absolutely. He puts down a little play pen on the floor while he works :’).
His son loves cuddles so much and he is so gentle.
He doesn’t like pranks though which makes Naruto a little sad but he would never do anything to make his little one sad.
Male omegas can be identified from birth, so you both knew he was, but even if you didn’t it’s very obvious. He makes his own little nest next to Naruto’s but ends up crawling into Naruto’s for cuddles every time.
As he gets older, he attends the academy, but he hates it so much. He reminds me a little of a young Itachi, a pacifist to the core. He doesn’t want to hurt anyone! He begs you and Naruto to let him attend the civilian school, and of course you let him.
Naruto gets a lot of shit for allowing this from some parties *cough* the council *cough*. The Hokage’s children should be powerful ninjas according to them, but Naruto will always prioritise his children’s happiness. Naruto shields his son from the hate as much as possible, but some slips through.
The transition is easier if you are a civilian, your son feels a little more secure if that’s the case, and he would consider following your footsteps depending on what you do. If you run a little business, he would definitely want to work with you. If you’re also a ninja he can feel left out and unsure, but he grows into such a quietly confident person, who starts a little business.
Not being a ninja also means he can be there for his younger siblings. He is a dedicated older brother who is always there for them. He has a room for each other them at his house and loads of medical supplies for when they come back from missions injured and won’t go to the hospital. He always patches them up.
All his younger siblings respect him so much. He is a very reliable person, and his siblings get so offended if they hear any anti-civilian talk from the ninjas they work with.
When Naruto is about a year into working as Hokage, he goes to visit the orphanage, a place that he reformed hugely as soon as he could. It’s so much nicer than it was and he’s so happy.
But there is one girl that he sees there, and she’s being bullied by some of the other kids. At only three years old, Naruto’s heart breaks for her. Turns out that she’s being teased for being a female alpha. Times have changed a lot, but there are still some horrible stereotypes about male omegas and female alphas, even if those aren’t the norm anymore.
He intervenes and wipes away her tears, uncomfortably reminded of his own stay at the orphanage when he was her age. He wraps up the visit and leaves, but he just can’t get here out of his head.
He’s been wanting another child, but he’s still in a vulnerable position so early into being Hokage that he can’t afford the time off for maternity leave.
Hesitantly, he brings up the idea of adoption to you, when you respond positively, he’s like great 😊, I have one picked already.
It’s only about a fortnight later that you’re picking her up and bringing her home. At first, she is very shy and reserved but when she gets comfortable, you learn that she is the opposite.
She’s very forthright and opinionated, she always says what she feels and stands up for injustice.
Her favourite thing is to come home and tell you and Naruto about her day. She never leaves out any detail and has been known to demand to go and see Naruto while he’s working so that she can tell him about something that happened at school.
Naruto ends up unwillingly up to date with all the academy drama.
She’s quite serious and likes to have grown up conversations and sit at the grown ups table.
She ends up attending the academy and she just thrives on all the history and politics lessons! She great at negotiating and learning about people.
She makes strong friends and has a tight knit friendship group that she keeps all the way to adulthood.
She ends up making Chunin pretty quickly but waits a long while before taking the Jounin exam. She ends up specialising in international relations.
She works as an ambassador for Konoha and gets to travel around all the countries. She adores her job, but she does sometimes miss her family. Naruto gets sad when he sends her for long missions, knowing that he can’t come and see her for that time, but there’s no one he would trust more to act on behalf on Konoha and she always brings back souvenirs for everyone.
The twins are quite a bit younger than the other two. Six years younger than their older sister, and eight years younger than their older brother.
In a better position now, Naruto wants to try for one final child.
Of course, you get twins.
It takes a bit of re-planning, but Naruto is overjoyed at the fact that he’s pregnant with twins! He gives birth to identical twin boys. You can’t tell from birth whether a baby is a male alpha or male beta, and they end up showing signs of being betas when they’re about 12.
These boys are little troublemakers, and Naruto rejoices and finally having some of his children who likes pranks like he does!
They excel at strategy and trap making when they join the academy but the oldest struggles a little with the more academic side.
Naruto is so patient in helping him because he knows what it’s like to be a physical learner in an academic environment.
They are the babies of the family and they get away with everything haha.
When they end up graduating, they are put on the same genin team and they continue to work together for their entire careers. They are similar to Izumo and Kotestu. They know each other so well and both have complimentary skills, so they make a formidable duo on the battlefield.
Naruto hates sending them on dangerous missions though. If they ever didn’t come back, I don’t think Naruto would recover, knowing that he sent them to the place that they died.
These two also definitely take on a genin team when they first get promoted to jounin, and they’re great teachers! I can’t decide if they would have one together, or if they would have one each and compete in ridiculous challenges like whose genin team can get the most d ranks done in one day.
They remind people of Kakashi and Gai in a lot of ways.
Sasuke: 1 child – daughter (beta).
Sasuke has a daughter in his late twenties, after he’s had some time to deal with his trauma.
He’s undeniably in a better place but he struggles badly with PPD, making the first year very difficult on your family.
Eventually things get better though, and you work together to raise your daughter.
She is wicked smart, very much into scholarly things, but she also loves weapons, particularly any sort of blade. Sasuke teaches her how to use a sword and they bond a lot over it.
She’s pretty quiet and withdrawn, preferring to read a book or practice with her weapons than socialise. Sasuke tries to get her to make more friends but she calls him out on being a hypocrite and he’s so offended that he drops the issue.
She does well in the academy but she lowkey hates going. She likes going more if either you or Sasuke are there to pick her up and walk home with her, she doesn’t like walking home alone because the Uchiha compound is so damn far away and isolated.
When she awakens her sharigan when she’s a chunin, Sasuke has a pretty bad reaction. The sharigan isn’t associated with anything good in his mind, so he freaks out when his daughter activates it. You need to give him some time and support and he’ll come around. He’s the only one who can train her after all.
Sasuke is so proud of his daughter when she makes Jounin, which of course, she does. I could see her taking on a powerful advisory role for the Hokage as a jounin.
She is someone who believes that there is a lot to learn from history, and is a great advisory asset in helping to avoid past mistakes.
Itachi: Canon = none / Non-massacre Au = 2 children. Son (omega), daughter (beta).
Has a son shortly after you get married.
Itachi is a family man through and through and can’t wait to retire from being a ninja (which he hates) to being able to raise his children full time.
The day Itachi gets moved from the active list to the reserves list after he becomes pregnant is one of the happiest days of his life.
His son is very responsible and serious.
He likes to follow Itachi around and help him clean and cook and run errands. He always tidies up his toys and keeps his room clean, and he almost always behaves respectfully and sensibly.
Itachi never forces him to do too much though, he wants his son to have a fun childhood like he never had.
Itachi is over the moon when his son shows an interest in calligraphy, happy that his son is picking up a healthy hobby.
He buys him all the supplies and gets him a teacher if he wants one. It warms Itachi’s heart to see his son interested in something other than chores for once.
Despite the pressure from the clan for his children to attend the academy, Itachi puts his foot down for one of the first times in his life, saying that his children will only become ninja if they want to.
His son does in fact want to attend the academy.
Itachi kind of wishes he didn’t.
Itachi’s son shows a huge proficiency for fuinjutsu, his calligraphy skills coming in handy. Seeing as the skill is so rare, he becomes one of the leading experts in Konoha.
Itachi is very supportive and lowkey glad that his son is so powerful and can defend himself. Itachi is also very glad that his son can continue with his fuuinjustsu passion long after he retires from being an active ninja.
Itachi hopes that safety net (producing seals for other ninjas and continuing to earn money from his hobby) will mean his son can retire whenever he wants and not have to worry. Rather than becoming stuck in the shinobi lifestyle.
Itachi’s daughter is born five years after his son, an age gap that was larger than he would have liked, but he had a pretty traumatic birth the first time around and he needed to give his body some time to recover.
Itachi puts a lot of emphasis on a loving relationship between his children, and his daughter adores her older brother so much! She follows him around and tries to copy him all the time, and he help her with homework and plays with her.
It makes Itachi very, very happy to see them bond.
Itachi’s daughter is a beta and has everyone wrapped around her finger from the moment she is born.
She’s charming, well spoken, and polite but with a very sarcastic personality.
She has a very similar sense of humour to Itachi actually. A sort of under the breath commentary style. Goodness help anyone who finds themselves opposing Itachi and his daughter.
Academy teachers get put in their place so fast when they join forces, the teachers don’t even know what happened.
As Itachi’s daughter joins the academy, she follows after her uncle and develops fangirls and fanboys… She’s very popular. Very popular.
And she loves it.
Itachi is not as fond.
He is not above staring coldly at children for badgering his beloved daughter.
When she grows up, she works as a ninja, favouring a more jack of all trades kind of style. She likes to learn a little bit of everything.
She’s the same way with relationships too. She never gets married or mated, preferring casual relationships and has no interest in children, she lives her life doing whatever she wants with whoever she wants.
Itachi is very proud of her, and secretly very amused when his clan constantly tries and fails to control her.
Shikamaru: 1 child – daughter (alpha)
Shikamaru has a child at about 25, and he knew from the get-go that he was a one and done kind of guy.
He’s not a fan at all of the infant stage and does not want to do it more than once.
The Nara clan have a very high proportion of alphas, so Shikamaru kinda expected his child to be one. And lo and behold she was.
His daughter is the spitting image of him in every way. She is the most mellow alpha ever. So much so that most people assume she’s a beta, and she doesn’t really care enough to correct them about it.
She is also very close to her grandparents, who dote on her and spoil her as much as they can.
She excels at school in the same way her father did before her, retaining average marks despite being miles ahead of most of her peers.
Shikamaru teaches her how to play shogi and all about the beauty of napping. She takes to them both like a duck to water. She is so much like Shikamaru that everyone comments on it constantly.
Although, while she loves a good cloud gazing session with her father, she actually takes to creative writing as her favourite hobby. She uses a pseudonym to avoid attention, but she ends up writing a series of books that becomes one of the most popular book series in the shinobi nations.
Shikamaru is so insanely proud that his daughter can have both a successful ninja career and a successful hobby/side career. He brags to anyone who knows her pseudonym constantly, including you and his parents.
He also keeps a set of first edition, signed copies of all her books. He reads them when she’s away on long missions sometimes, as a way of feeling closer to her.
Shikamaru and his daughter remain incredibly close all their lives.
Shino: 1 child – daughter (omega)
Shino had a child slightly later than most of his friends, at around 34.
Shino’s daughter is a very curious child! She’s quiet and withdrawn around strangers but very talkative with her family and close friends.
Her favourite place to be is on Shino’s lap. And when around strangers, she always hides behind him, or buries her face into his shoulder.
Shino loves to spend time with his daughter outside. He teaches her all about insects and plants, leading her around the woods after when she can still barely walk.
Shibi does the same with her, and those two are very close.
Shino is fiercely protective of his daughter, and never forces her into doing things she isn’t comfortable with. He defends her right to be quiet and clingy, and it takes some convincing to get him to understand that she needs to make friends outside of her immediate family.
When she cries for anything, Shino gives in straight away, as long as she isn’t wanting to do anything extremely dangerous. Because of this, she develops quite the sweet tooth, having had as many cookies as she wanted as a child.
Shino’s daughter ends up teaching at the academy as a career chunin, because despite being shy around adults, she is fantastic with children, very patient and understanding.
Shino is very happy with her choices, because he was a little worried that she would end up scarred from a shinobi career, and he hates any situation in which he can’t protect her.
She has her own children pretty young, and Shino is just a good a grandfather as he is a father.
Neji: 2 children – adopted daughter (beta), adopted son (alpha)
Neji is about 30 when he decides he wants to try to have a baby.
And he’s 32 when he finally comes to terms with the fact that he isn’t going to be able to conceive naturally because of the suppressant abuse he endured as a child.
Then, tragically, one of the branch members of his clan dies giving birth. Her mate can’t handle the stress and dies shortly afterwards, leaving their two-year-old daughter and newborn son behind.
Dying after a mate dies is not super uncommon but is much rarer in the cases where children are involved, so this exact situation doesn’t happen very often.
His heart breaks for them and he is close to begging you to adopt them with him.
And soon enough you have two children, siblings, and both Hyuugas like Neji.
You would never forget Neji’s face when he held his children for the first time. He would never let them be branded with the seal that has impacted his life so much. He would sooner run away from the clan forever.
Neji’s daughter takes a little while to adjust to her new parents, still distraught and grieving over the loss of her previous parents.
Neji understands and gets her a therapist, but he finds it difficult to watch his child suffer.
The first time she crawled into bed with you and Neji after a nightmare, Neji cried because she was finally starting to trust you both.
Neji’s daughter is a beta and when she recovers from her childhood trauma, she shows her true colours as a limelight lover!
She loves acting and dancing and singing whenever and wherever she can. She plans little plays for you and Neji, sitting you down to perform them for you every weekend. Neji is very proud!
But he doesn’t really know what to do when his daughter says she doesn’t want to be a ninja.
He loves and supports her, of course, but he’s thrown off, not really expecting it.
Eventually, he agrees to send her to a civilian school, and she immediately flourishes there, making so many friends, even starting a little after school performance style club.
Neji is so incredibly proud when she makes it as a famous actress. He lowkey brags constantly to his friends.
“Oh, your child just got promoted to chunin? How lovely. My daughter made more money this year than any chunin will see in their life…” Sips tea.
Neji’s daughter is so glamourous and outgoing and famous, but she never forgets her family, and loves to spoil you, Neji and her younger brother with her money.
Neji’s son doesn’t remember his biological parents and fits into your family seamlessly from day one. As far as he’s concerned, you and Neji are his only parents.
Just like his older sister, this boy is very extroverted, but rather than singing all the time, he talks. He’s the chattiest person you could ever meet.
Introverted Neji isn’t 100% sure about how to parent such extroverted children, he just doesn’t understand that they don’t enjoy too much solitary activity time.
He’s feels a lot better if you’re an extrovert, that way, he can have some alone time to recharge while you handle the children.
If you’re also an introvert… well, let’s hope Hinata was serious about her babysitting offer.
Neji’s son talks to everyone as I already mentioned, and adults think he is the cutest thing ever.
As he grows up, he always helps old people carry their shopping, he helps lost children find their parents, he is basically the alpha every parent dreams of their omega child bringing home.
He’s very charming and Neji is a lot less surprised when his son says he doesn’t want to be a ninja.
Eventually ends up working in the orphanage.
The children adore him so, so much, and he loves his job dearly.
Neji brags about him too.
“Wow, your child got top marks in the academy? My child was hand-making birthday gifts for some children at the orphanage when he was 11. He decided to do it all by himself…” sips more tea.
Whenever she’s in Konoha, his older sister turns up and gives all the kids at the orphanage gifts. She’s like a fun, rich aunt for all of them.
Neither of Neji’s children have children of their own, as they find their respective careers to be the most fulfilling thing for them.
Neji is a very proud father and is happy when his children are happy.
Iruka: None, or 2 children (he’s happy with either) – adopted son (omega), adopted daughter (omega)
Iruka would be happy with no children because he’s so dedicated to his work and his students, but he also adores children and wouldn’t mind having some of his own. This is an au in which he decides to have children.
He adopts his son at age 27, pretty soon after the war, choosing to adopt an older child who has less of a chance of being adopted.
A six-year-old omega with a bright smile and loud laugh, Iruka is immediately taken with him. The war had left many orphans, and it was hard on Iruka to walk around the orphanage, knowing he couldn’t adopt them all.
Iruka throws as much love as he can as his new son, taking time off work to bond with him properly, making sure to scent him loads and get him used to his new family environment.
Iruka is thrilled when his son shows a knack for pranks.
He plays the disapproving parent in public, but honestly, he loves it, as long as things don’t go too far.
Iruka’s son is a very kind-hearted person, if a little rambunctious, and he also has a huge nesting instinct.
You knew he was an omega when you adopted him, but it was very clear, nonetheless. He has a permanent nest in his room that he likes to chill in with his friends when they come over (he’s very popular with the other kids in his class.).
When he gets a little older, he goes to the academy, walking to and from every day with Iruka, and develops a passion for medicine when he’s a genin.
He has great chakra control and eventually ends up working full time at the hospital as an adult.
He chose a similar path to Iruka, in that he works as a ninja but is primarily based in the village, rarely leaving on missions.
He makes sure to come home for dinner at least once a week after he’s moved out, no matter how busy the hospital gets.
Iruka is so proud that his son is so talented and selfless, that sometimes it makes him tear up.
Iruka knows that he doesn’t want just one child.
When his parents died, he was all alone and it was horrible for him, so he knows he wants to have two children, so that when you and him die, they’re not alone.
Iruka is very ready to adopt again about two years after he adopted his son.
Iruka found the adoption process so rewarding that he wants to do it again over having a biological child.
He adopts a little girl this time, five years old and also an omega. When Iruka was meeting the children, this girl brought him a paper flower that she had folded as a gift and his heart just melted right then and there.
She fits in perfectly to your family, your son adored her immediately!
With three omegas living in your house now, you were very much outnumbered. It was a common occurrence to find yourself missing all your warm clothes, them having been borrowed and buried inside one of the three nests (minimum) nests in your house.
Iruka’s daughter is a gentle soul, but she is also strong. She appears like an easy target because she is soft spoken and reserved but she has a strong sense of justice and always stands up for herself and others.
When she’s young, she likes the idea of going into medicine like her older brother as she admires and looks up to him, but she doesn’t like the realities of the job very much.
She’s great at chakra control, but the idea of wrangling disobedient, injured shinobi doesn’t appeal to her.
Until one day, on her way home from a friend’s house, she finds an injured stray dog. She brings it home and begs you and Iruka to keep him. So, your family of four turns into a family of five, and she becomes obsessed with veterinary medicine.
As an adult, she ends up working at the veterinary clinic in the Inuzuka compound. She is committed to helping as many animals as she can, with a particular soft spot for dogs.
She also joins the rest of her family for dinners at least once a week. Iruka is so overwhelmingly proud that he has two medic children, because he knows how talented you have to be to do that.
He is also very happy that both his children stay mostly within the village. The war made Iruka a little paranoid, and he doesn’t worry so much when his children are safe within the village walls.
Gaara: 2 children – daughter (alpha), son (alpha)
Gaara has his children the youngest out of everyone his age that he knows. He had his daughter when he had just turned 21, and his son five years later when he was 26.
His daughter is Gaara’s sweetheart.
He adores her so much and spends as much time as he can with her. He is so gentle with her and loving all the time.
Gaara’s daughter is very energetic and playful, but also quite sensitive.
She loves positive attention, loves to play with everyone who will engage with her.
She’s a very family-oriented person and loves spending time with Kankuro and Temari when you and Gaara are busy.
However, because you, Gaara, Temari and Kankuro always treated her so gently, she was quite sensitive to people being angry or shouting at her.
Once, her teacher at school shouted at her for talking in class and she ran straight to the Kazekage’s office crying. Gaara was furious. He hates when his children cry, so much. He let her stay with him for the rest of the day to calm her down, sending you a message to let you know he was looking after her.
Gaara’s daughter visited him constantly, often bringing little lunchboxes of food for him, learning to new recipes constantly.
Trying to surprise him, she develops a great skill in cooking.
She decides, in the end, not to follow the shinobi route. She opens her own restaurant in Suna, charming customers with her amazing hostess skills and phenomenal cooking.
She allows all her family to eat for free, but they all pay anyway, because they love to support her. Gaara, especially, always leaves a huge tip for her and her staff.
Gaara’s son is born five years after his daughter, another alpha, leaving Gaara very outnumbered, with both his siblings, his mate and his children all being alphas.
Gaara’s son is very quiet and tactile.
He loves cuddles and hugs but doesn’t speak very much.
He enjoys spending time with Gaara in Gaara’s nest, despite not having nesting instincts of his own.
Gaara’s son is very close to you and Gaara. He always tells you when something is bothering him, and although he doesn’t speak much, he chooses his words carefully and they always mean something.
He actually excels at shinobi school, both in academics and in sparring, and moves up the ranks quickly. He spends a lot of time training with Kankuro and gets into puppetry.
Even when he becomes a jounin, he spends time with Gaara in his nest, still loving physical affection.
Gaara enjoys hosting family gatherings for everyone, his daughter cooks loads of dishes for it, his son makes sure to take time off missions to attend, and sometimes Temari drags Shikamaru to Suna as well to join them all.
Gaara smiles more often than not now, feeling so proud of the life he crafted for himself, and the family he worked hard to create.
(Phew! That was a lot! I hope you enjoyed, let me know what you thought and send me your own headcanons!!! <3)

questions and answers
He had meant to be rude. And it had not worked even a little bit. Eodwulf is sure that anyone else would have been offended. Hell, he’s even sure that the other members of this weird group were absolutely offended on behalf of their friend. But Eodwulf can’t say he has ever met a person like this.
There was no malice, no ill intent, no anger.
When you work with Trent you have to be aware of every little shift in the mood. The slightest twitch of an eyebrow can mean the weather is about to turn foul. Eodwulf knows what to look out for. It had been his intent to rev this weirdo up and it had backfired spectacularly.
Damn.
No meat. No booze. And balls of steel, apparently. Eodwulf had never seen anyone talk to Trent like that. And while Bren‘s—Caleb‘s—words of wanting to kill Trent outright had been more than Eodwulf would ever admit to his mentor, it somehow felt less crazily reckless than to call Trent Ikithon, Archmage of Civil Influence for the Cerberus Assembly and one of the most powerful mages in the Empire, a fucking fool.
To his face. With a smile. In a complete sincere manner.
Eodwulf doesn’t want to replay the words in his head over and over again but his dumb brain has latched onto them and he can’t stop. Only this time it’s not one of Trent’s lessons that forces him to obsessively repeat something until you have internalized it to the point where you can cite it in your sleep.
No.
“Pain doesn’t make people. It’s love that makes people.“
Eodwulf has it on repeat in his head the whole way back to the tower and it is still going when he lies down hours later to sleep.
“What are you“ had not been meant as a serious question when Eodwulf had asked it. But by the time he finally falls asleep he feels like it has become a very vital question indeed, because who or what would dare to speak to Master Trent Ikithon in a way like this with an honest smile on their face.
*
Because for some reason his thoughts have decided to betray him, Eodwulf’s brain makes his tongue and lips form the words again when they see the Mighty Nein the next time. This time, Astrid and Eodwulf have been invited to dinner—Trent has very specifically not been invited, you could say he was uninvited with quite a few flowery words in a strange accent.
And as soon as Eodwulf sees Caduceus he remembers the weirdly polite scratching of a chair, the wide smile that indicates that this is a person Eodwulf possibly can not force to lose their composure through careful placed rudeness. And his mouth betrays him.
“So. What are you, really?“
Caduceus blinks mildly surprised before his unfamiliar features shift into a warm smile that has Eodwulf feel quite a lot of inappropriate things he didn’t expect to find in a place like this.
“Gardener. Maker of fine tea. A decent cook. Keeper of graves“, Caduceus lists of and he uses his long fingers to count the things that are important to him about himself.
“Very powerful cleric“, Jester chimes in from the right. She has Astrid next to her in a chair and Eodwulf is pretty sure that Jester has started to put flowers in Astrid’s hair. But surely he must be mistaken. Who in the Nine Hells are these crazy people?
“Oh, yeah. Well, that too, I suppose“, Caduceus says, his smile still warm like honeyed wine.
“Huh“, Eodwulf says because he can’t for the life of him think of something else to say. But Caduceus is yet again pulling out a chair for him so Eodwulf straightens his shoulders and sits down next to Caduceus. Across the table from him the angry one throws herself into a chair and stares at him.
There’s no fear there either, but she can be easily angered, something Eodwulf is good at. He gives her a canine smile and she holds up her middle finger.
This group is full of people with an enormous lack of self preservation.
And they are so loud.
Eodwulf almost doesn’t hear it when Caduceus turns to him to ask him a question.
“Huh?“, he says again, like a fool.
“And what are you, was what I wanted to know“, Caduceus says, his lazy grin open and honest. There is no malice in his words. He actually wants to know.
Eodwulf thinks “Murderer, wizard, protégé, spy“ but he doesn’t say any of these things. “Maker of graves“ comes to mind, but it seems like too dark of a joke to make.
“Enthusiastic about both meat and booze“, he says in the end and Caduceus laughs.
“Yeah, as are most of my friends.“
The implication these words bring is probably only in Eodwulf’s mind but it makes him swallow and look away to find Astrid’s eyes. But Astrid now has pink flowers in her hair and a look of absolute confusion on her face as Jester rattles of compliment after compliment about various of Astrid’s features.
Eodwulf can’t help but look at Bre—Caleb. And he sees that there is a soft, barely noticeable smile on his old friend’s face as he watches the scene unfold.
What am I, indeed, he thinks.
*
Trent’s orders have been clear. Get close to the group called the Mighty Nein to find out what they are working on with Lady Vess DeRogna.
Eodwulf allows himself to think that Caduceus might have been right. Maybe Master Ikithon is indeed a fool.
Because being in the presence of these people is like nothing Eodwulf has ever experienced and it makes him think, wonder, question—
“Here we are again“, Caduceus says after, yet again, Astrid and Eodwulf have been invited for dinner. Eodwulf wonders if this group just wants to make it very easy to spy on them, or if they have an agenda of their own—but it’s hard to believe that there might be any coherent agenda behind anything these people do.
He has watched the buff one called Yasha try and play what looked like a harp made of bone and when the angry one, Beau, told her that she looked hot playing the harp Yasha had torn two of the strings which had led to a whole scene of apologies and various tries to fix the harp.
Jester has drawn dicks on pretty much every surface this magical mansion has and she delights in the fact that Caleb brings the dicks to life in various colors. At some point he made glowing sparkles shoot out of one of the dicks Jester had drawn and Jester had laughed as if this was the best joke she had ever witnessed.
Eodwulf notices Astrid’s eyes on Jester.
Eodwulf also notices that while there seems to be no agenda or efficiency behind anything, they are still being watched.
Beau and Fjord look at them. And Eodwulf is pretty sure Caduceus watches everything as well, but he does it without crossing his arms and glaring so much.
“Looks like it”, he answers. Caduceus offers him tea and Eodwulf’s first instinct is to decline, but then he remembers that “maker of fine tea” had been very high on the list of descriptors so he takes the cup he is offered while somewhere in the background people start screaming something that sounds like “FLUFFERNUTTER”.
Eodwulf tries the tea. He’s not a fan of tea, but this tea is absolutely delicious and he finds himself impressed.
“I believe this one comes from the Hollburns’ graves. Those remains made the tea grow quite fast, it was impressive.”
Eodwulf blinks at his tea and then at Caduceus. For a second his brain wonders if this statement should register as a threat, but it had been delivered with such honest delight and a sense of pride that Eodwulf discards that feeling.
“What?”, he asks. Caduceus points at the tea.
“Oh, well, my family grows tea on those graves we’re keeping. In case you wanted to ask me again what I am. Or—hm, I think I already mentioned that I am a keeper of graves?”
Caduceus trails off and looks thoughtful and Eodwulf stares at him.
“Keeper of Graves. That make you a follower of the Matron?”, he asks.
Caduceus looks at him and smiles.
“Not quite. My family serves Melora. But we are descended from a champion of the Raven Queen.”
Eodwulf can’t help but wonder if this was some kind of weird joke. But his goddess usually isn’t one for joking.
Eodwulf considers for a second, then he pulls out the raven feather pendant from under his cloak.
Caduceus nods. “So”, he says and smiles widely. “What are you?”
Eodwulf snorts.
“For real?”, he says.
Caduceus’ smile widens.
“For real.”
*
It feels like this has become a sort of game.
“What are you?”
“Moral compass. Middle sibling. Eccentric. Amateur flute player.”
Eodwulf finds that through this question he himself posed the first time, he’s been forced to think more about himself than he feels comfortable with.
“What are you?”
“Decent chess player. Dog person. Sportsman. Only child.”, are the things he says out loud.
“Self-made orphan. Patriot. Volstrucker. Torturer.”, are the things he thinks to himself.
Eodwulf has the impression that Caduceus is somehow aware of the things he doesn’t say.
*
“So. This is the crew you’re running with now?”, Eodwulf asks Bre—Caleb one night before the Mighty Nein will leave with Vess DeRogna to who-knows-where. Neither Astrid nor Eodwulf did get very far with their planned infiltration work. Eodwulf is not even sure how hard they even tried.
It’s very easy to get swept away by the chaos and the weirdness and the complete lack of fear that the group displays when it comes to him and Astrid. They are dangerous people in a lot of ways.
The Mighty Nein are also dangerous people in a very different way. A way that Eodwulf doesn’t know anything about.
“This is my family, ja.”
He says it, just like that, without looking at Eodwulf.
Family.
The word tastes bitter in Eodwulf’s mouth as he leans back in his chair and crosses his arms.
“Weird people”, he says. Caleb huffs.
“You can say that, yes. But they grow on you very quickly”, he answers quietly and with a small, fond smile that makes something inside Eodwulf ache. For a long time Eodwulf pitied Bren for breaking, for not making it, for failing, for being locked away and discarded. Now he realizes that maybe, in a very macabre sort of way, Bren becoming Caleb through failure was the better end of the bargain.
It feels blasphemous to think that.
“The pink one is especially weird”, Eodwulf finds himself saying and he takes a big swig of whiskey from his flask before handing it to Caleb.
“Ja, I noticed that you seem to have a... uh... particular kind of interest in him. And, if I may add, he in you.”
Eodwulf takes the flask back after Caleb drinks. He contemplates the different sorts of feelings inside his gut as the words sink in. Then he tucks it all away very carefully, just as he learned through many years of being in Trent’s presence.
“Still don’t know what he is”, Eodwulf says. Caleb snorts and shakes his head.
“His people are called Firbolg”, he provides.
“Not sure that’s what I mean. Not anymore, at least.”
It seems dangerous to admit that. Caleb turns his head and looks at Eodwulf with a shimmer in his eyes that Eodwulf can’t read. Many years ago he was able to read Bren like an open book, but Caleb is another book entirely.
“You deserve to have some nice things, you know. You deserve friends. A chance of—hm. A chance of peace. A chance for redemption, if you want it.”
Eodwulf gets up and tugs away his flask.
“Pain doesn’t make people. It’s love that makes people. Pain is inconsequential, it’s love that saves them.”
Eodwulf understands the truth in these words now. Bren was broken, Caleb is being healed. Eodwulf doesn’t think that there’s anything left in him that can be saved. Or should be saved.
“Good luck on your journey tomorrow. Don’t die”, Eodwulf says and he leaves Caleb behind.
What are you, he thinks. A sentimental fool.
*
Astrid sits next to him on one of the balconies of her house and looks up at the stars above them. The Mighty Nein have been gone for six days and it has been very quiet.
They sit in silence and share a bottle of whiskey, passing it back and forth instead of words. It’s been like this for many many years that they’ve allowed themselves to just be. Today though, Astrid breaks the silence.
“I’m going to be the one who kills him.”
She says it quietly, without remorse, without indicating that this is a scandalous statement. She says it just how other people would say “I’ll go to bed soon.”.
Eodwulf stops breathing for just a moment. Then he inhales the cool night air and turns his head to look at her.
“Could kill you for treason”, he says. She looks at him and cocks her head slightly, the analyzing gaze of a murderous spy meets its equal in silence.
“I’d love to see you try”, she says. Eodwulf grins. It feels reckless.
“Don’t die”, he says, the same thing he’s said to Caleb before. Astrid regards him for a long moment and Eodwulf takes another sip. “Will you help me or try to stop me?”
Eodwulf considers this for a moment. Would he try to stop Astrid should she try to kill Trent? No. Would he help her? He doesn’t know that either.
“Can’t you just wait for Bren to do it for you?”
“I won’t lose to him again.”
Eodwulf snorts.
Always so competitive.
“That’s some fucked up shit, Astrid.”
“Shut up, Arschloch.”
Eodwulf grins before getting up to stretch. He puts his hands on the railing of Astrid’s balcony and wonders what Caleb’s new family is up to.
Making a new family never came to mind before. It sounds like something out of a fairy tale. While he contemplates the question whether he would help Astrid kill Trent Ikithon, a slow, familiar voice pops up in his head.
“Hey. Uh—Jester told me to send you an update. We’re still alive. Hope you’re good. Got a new question for you. What will you become?”
The rustling of Astrid’s clothes as she stands up as well somehow tells him that she received a message in her head as well. She steps beside him and puts her hands on the railing next to his.
“They’re persistent”, she says quietly.
Eodwulf nods and inhales.
He doesn’t know what he will become. He didn’t even know that was a question to be asked. The path is clear. It always was.
Pain doesn’t make people.
“Not going to answer?”, she wants to know.
“Don’t have an answer yet.”
It’s unclear to him whether she means her own question or the message Caduceus just sent him.
He answers the sending spell with a simple “I don’t know.”. It takes a few minutes before another message comes in.
“That’s good. Uncertainty is good. It’s the first step in a better direction. I’m going to kill a dragon now. Wish me luck. Good night.”
“I’ll keep you posted on the answer to that question of yours. I’ll see you tomorrow”, he says and leaves Astrid behind on the balcony. Eodwulf thinks about something he hasn’t thought about in a very long time. A priestess in his Matron’s temple once told him: “Death is the only certainty in life.”.
He thinks that Caduceus would agree.
And Eodwulf hopes that the next time he sees that weird, reckless man, he’ll have an answer for him.

Lila doesn't know that Luka is Juleka's brother so she tries claiming that he is a delinquent and a bad influence on Marinette.
Gossip report
One day when Lila was leaving school, pondering on how to steal Adrien from Kagami, she spotted Marinette talking to a boy with blue hair and a guitar.
He was obviously older and definitely cute.
Nearby two girls were whispering about how lucky Marinette was to have this senior student asking her out.
Well, Lila certainly hates it when the spotlight isn’t on her.
Later that day, while hanging out with the girls (because Marinette was definitely out on a date), Lila tried to be the one to start the gossip chain.
Lila: hey girls, I don’t want to alarm anyone but do you think Marinette will be fine with Adrien off the market?
The girls exchanged shrugs. “She’ll be fine. She’ll move on.”
Lila feigned concern. “That’s what i am worried about. I think Marinette is so heartbroken, she’ll give her heart to anyone who gives her the time of day. I just saw her after school talking to some high school dropout.”
Pause.
Juleka: what did he look like?
Lila: he had blue hair, rode a bike (let them think it’s a motorcycle) and wore grungy clothes. *gasp*
Alix: and what makes you think he’s a bad influence?
Lila saw her pink hair and quickly backtracked on looks. “I could tell by his face. He looks so smug, arrogant and sneaky. The kind of boy you see smoking and dealing with drugs.”
Juleka: I see...
Lila: so you see, we must interfere on Marinette’s behalf, before his claws are in too deep.
Or at least they will because everyone knows Marinette will never listen to Lila.
Juleka was using her phone and at last found an image of Luka, alone at one of his favorite rock concerts. The background was dim and he was making faces for the camera.
Juleka: was this the boy you saw?
Lila: that’s him! What do you girls think? Delinquent or what?
Mylène: i think you should give him a chance. Don’t be deceived by appearances.
Lila: trust me! I’m a good judge of character. This boy is bad news. He’s the type of guy who ends up in jail and drunk.
Rose decided to intervene. “He’s also Juleka’s brother.”
Oh....
Alya: maybe you should check your facts before you go spreading rumors.
Lila’s brain: hypocrite!
Lila: I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to offend. I just got so worried for Marinette.
Mylene: we understand Lila. But Luka’s a genuinely sweet boy.
Rose: all the girls at his school like him
Alix: he’s a real artist, in a musical way
Alya: he’s a member of Kitty Section and the songwriter of their songs
Juleka: and he’s a great judge of character. If he doesn’t like somebody, we don’t like him. It’s a band thing.
Lila sweatdropped. “Oh. Well I can’t wait to make his acquaintance and get to know him better.” Maybe she could make Marinette look bad to him and he could tell Kitty Section?
Alya: no worries. Luka’s taking Marinette back here for guitar lessons
Lila: great (at this line, even I can’t tell if she is sincere or not)
Luka and Marinette arrived on his bike. His travel worn jacket and ripped jeans hardly a cause for alarm. Beneath his bright blue hair were darker, soulful eyes.
The moment they stepped through the door and saw Lila, Marinette predictably scowled and Luka surprisingly flinched.
Before Lila could start charming him, Juleka beat her to it with a request to help him keep his bicycle. (As if. Their boat was cluttered and he could have dumped his bike anywhere.)
The moment they were alone, sister asked brother. “What was her music?”
Luka winced. “Loud. Very loud. Like fire alarm loud that you can’t hear anything else.”
Juleka: she sounded like a fire alarm?
Luka: no, she sounded like screechy violins. Like a novice attempting to be Mozart on her first try, and in vain.
Juleka nodded, worry wrinkling her brow. “I understand.”
Juleka headed back to the group and clapped her hands. “So sorry everyone. But it’s time for a band meeting. So everyone who isn’t Kitty Section, I’m sorry but you’ll have to leave soon.”
Alix: no worries. I can meet up with Nathaniel at the museum.
Alya: and I have to be at a date with Nino anyway.
Mylène: I’ll go call Ivan over.
Lila frowned, correctly assuming Luka didn’t like her and told Juleka. “Is it because of me? Does Luka doesn’t like me?” Cue crocodile tears.
Juleka quickly reassured her. “No. No. He just isn’t used to Italian music, and he’s been very cautious about creating music since Bob Roth. So only band members are allowed.”
Lila: but why isn’t Marinette leaving with us?
Marinette: i have to see them to perform to think of what costumes i have to design for them.
Lila’s brain: darn, she has a legit excuse.
Lila: please, can’t I stay?
This time it was Rose who spoke. Kindly, but firmly. “Sorry Lila. But this is strictly band business. Besides, aren’t you meeting with the president’s daughter online soon? To discuss charity options?”
Lila hid her rage. “Right. Thanks for reminding me.”
As Lila expected, and to Marinette’s surprise, for the rest of the afternoon, Kitty Section warned the rest of their class not to trust Lila. Alix and Alya were already suspicious about her since she tried to malign Luka, and his reaction just confirmed it.
Alya finally fact checked her work and took down Lila’s interview, apologising for posting false information.
Nino told Adrien, who already knew. Nino warned Adrien to tell the truth next time because tabloid gossip is different from deceiving friends.
The next day at school, Lila didn’t bother to show. When Caline reported she was ill, the class finally told her she was a liar and is probably lying now.
Caline: do you have proof?
Alya: yes! And if she’s been lying about Ali, she’s been skipping school for months.
Caline finally became serious. “Well then I shall have to contact her mother.”
Alya smirked. “As Vice President I already sent her an email (double checking the embassy website) asking for confirmation if her daughter had really been in Achu for months. Because after her lie about being Ladybug’s best friend (I attached the video link) and her claims of being Prince’s Ali’s buddy, I am skeptical of her claim to be in Achu for all that time.”
Caline’s frowned deepened.
But as it turns out, Caline needn’t have called Mrs Rossi because she dragged her daughter to school to see the principal after she opened her company email and saw the video. Her colleagues told her what was up and even how her own daughter had been akumatized more than once.
It’s a shame they didn’t get to see the scolding happen. But Mrs Rossi forced Lila to tell the whole class the truth. As Lila had been missing so many classes, Kim pointed out there was no way she could graduate unless she took summer school and make up classes.
Lila protested she already saw the online video lessons.
But Mrs Rossi corrected that Lila wasn’t just going to graduate, she had been expelled for tampering with official documents.
Lila sulked and accepted her fate.
Mrs Rossi reminded her daughter that it was worse than she thought because no school would accept a pathological liar with a record for truancy except the ones prepared for such misbehaving cases.
Alix snorted. “Karma! She called Luka bad news and now she’s heading for a school for troubled kids.”
Indeed, Lila’s new school life was miserable. She couldn’t skip without someone finding her and dragging her back to a class that would laugh at her and an unsympathetic teacher. And where everyone knew of her condition, nobody believed anything she said. Her mother won’t even believe her when she reports she is being bullied. Not when the teacher didn’t think calling Lila a liar is bullying, especially when she keeps coming into class with fake doctor notes, painted blood, self-inflicted scratches, and loose bandages. Seriously, bullying is seriously monitored. Beyond the name calling, nobody actually harms Lila because she always tries to harm herself anyway.
She is like the class jester, giving them a free show. And the punishments for actual bullying are so severe that nobody dares do it.

I was just trying to respond to an anon telling me to stop talking about wendigos, having censored the word wendigo as if it’s some kind of slur, specifically because I’m not Native American and I’m ‘culturally appropriating’ it. I have a number of things to say to that. Since the ask got yeeted, I’m posting it here.
1) I may not be a Native American, but notice I have never mentioned where I come from. You just made a huge ass assumption there.
2) This is a fucking yandere blog. On tumblr. Why the fuck would anyone be coming here expecting hugely in depth completely accurate characterisation of a mythological creature.
3) Cultural appropriation is predominantly about claiming an idea as your own or of your race or culture. Never at any point have I claimed the wendigo stories originated from the ‘white’ culture.
4) Are you also saying that people can’t write about fairies, centaurs, trolls, sirens/merfolk, kappas, dragons? Literally all of these are the exact same as wendigo. They’re mythological creatures who were created by cultures and over time they’ve been written about in various ways and many have drifted from their original meanings in creative works, which can still be found if you look them up to discover their origin. Where’s your offence over all of them? Hm? Or are you perhaps just being a white knight?
Mild tangent here, imma make an assumption about you since you made one about me. You most likely aren’t Native American yourself. Wanna know why I think that? Because nearly every nonsensical message like this that throws in some buzzword is nearly always a white American girl in her late teens to early twenties, and I have never once seen a Native American censor the word wendigo. It’s not a slur. Not only that, most people if they come from a group that’s been mentioned and they don’t agree with what’s being said will not only say they’re part of that group, they will be ridiculously respectful about it and explain why something isn’t good for them. And you know what, if you’re one of those girls foaming at the mouth about to type a huge ass hate comment because of this, maybe you’re the problem.
The reason I hate this kind of shit is because you don’t want cultural appropriation to stop, you want cultural segregation. You want people to only enjoy what’s in their culture because how dare anyone want to write about anything else because clearly they’re a disgusting human being, look at how amazing I am defending this minority group. Newsflash, you’re not. I can tell you, I myself am I diabetic and have been most of my life, on The Great British Bake Off one of the judges made a joke that one of the cakes was diabetes on a plate. At the time, I joked with my mother about how I should write to the show about how terrible it was, next day I woke up and it was in the fucking news because there had been so many complaints about it. The funny thing? Every single person in the comments of that article was a diabetic who didn’t mind the joke. Wanna know what I was offended about? Assholes getting offended on my behalf like my condition was their megaphone of the day.
Wanna know something else? I had no idea what a wendgio even was until I played Until Dawn, which was probably the case for a lot of people. I don’t think the creators of Until Dawn were Native Americans, but you know what? That game peaked my curiosity of wendigos, and from that I looked them up and learned a bit about them. According to you, if no-one but native Americans can write about wendigos, then that game shouldn’t exist and I would still be clueless. How does that help anything or anyone? Lack of creativity around subjects means that less people get interested in information, less information means fewer serious discussions that could’ve been branched from them, fewer serious conversations lead to ignorance, ignorance breeds fear and hate. But all is good because no-one except the people from that specific group are welcome to write or talk or make art about things from that culture, right? It’s not like native Americans face discrimination, systemic annihilation, and violence on a daily basis, right? Me writing about a wendigo is clearly the biggest issue native Americans face, right?
Get off my blog and stop virtue signalling. You’re not a better person because you whined in my inbox on anon, block me if it offends you that much. If any native Americans don’t like what I’ve written, message me! I’m more than happy to listen and discuss as to what was written incorrectly and use different tags if wanted, but don’t come into my inbox and throw cultural appropriation around as if you’re the be all and end all of righteousness.

Could you make a meta about jonerys storyline in s7?
LOL okay so fun story! I thought this would be a fun idea for a video and figured I’d do a scene by scene analysis except by the time I was done with 7x03 I already had FIFTEEN MINUTES of material, so I stopped there. It was interesting so I might dive more into it at another point, but I do feel like at the very least the subtext and narrative material from 7x03 is the most rich anyway.
youtube
Most fans of Game of Thrones were looking forward to the shows main leads, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, meeting each other for years. But unfortunately once "ice and fire" finally came face to face, their chemistry and relationship was tragically lacking. However, given that the show was trying to sell an epic love story between them in half a dozen episodes, what was it about Jon and Dany that went so wrong? And in retrospect, did it even go wrong at all? One of the most interesting bricks in the foundation of Jon and Daenerys's relationship actually gets set in stone before Jon and Dany even meet, and it's set in stone by Tyrion. There is an significant miscommunication caused by him in the second episode of the season, because Daenerys commands him to invite Jon to Dragonstone specifically to bend the knee, but the message he actually sends to Jon doesn't include that vital tidbit. But the question is, why is that?
It's possible to chalk it up to just an error in writing or editing, however it's something that would have to be overlooked by everyone, and given the way the season progresses it seems unlikely that that's the case. It could have easily been edited out of the episode itself, so the fact that it wasn't means that it had to have been left in for a reason. And the fact that this miscommunication is never clarified or brought up by Tyrion afterwards seemingly indicates that it's an intentional moment too. But what matters more about this intentional confusion is not the confusion itself, but what it's supposed to tell the audience.
This disconnect between perspectives and understanding between Jon and Dany seems to repeat itself from the literal moment that they're introduced to each other as well. Obviously Missandei listing off all of Dany's many titles while Jon Snow is introduced with such little fanfare is a moment that plays very well comedically, but despite the fact that up until this point Jon and Dany have been portrayed as two of the most heroic characters in the series, the audience is immediately meant to see them as total opposites of each other. Obviously the disparity between them will become clearer later, but given the way they've both been presented as individuals thus far, it's quite odd that the literal second they meet they're portrayed in direct contrast to one another.
Jon and Daenerys's interactions are really weird right off the bat. Not only is Jon completely thrown for a loop when he arrives on Dragonstone and is immediately commanded to bend the knee and taken prisoner, but Daenerys is her worst, least appealing self as soon as she meets him. It's not entirely out of her wheel house to play hardball with another person in power that she's just met, but from what Tyrion has said about Jon she has no reason to negotiate so aggressively with him, and yet she does anyway.
What really sticks out in this initial conversation more than anything though, is that immediately after Daenerys meets Jon, she does quite a few things that are going to be incredibly unappealing to Jon as a character. Firstly, she disregards Robb's quest for independence, something he literally died in service of, in order to defer to the supposed last King in the North, Torrhen Stark. That might make sense from Dany's perspective given that she has very little love lost for Viserys, but to Jon, overlooking his deceased brother who was legitimately chosen to be King in the North is not something that is going to win any points with him.
Then Dany points out that Torrhen Stark swore fealty to House Targaryen in perpetuity in exchange for his life and the life of the Northmen. Now, given what Dany has done up until this point, no one would have expected her to kill all of the Northmen if Jon hadn't bent the knee, but Jon doesn't have the benefit of narrative omniscience, so this statement after his frosty welcome to Dragonstone seems like a pretty clear threat that if Jon doesn't submit to her, he and the Northmen will die.
She also makes it clear that she sees Torrhen's vow (if a vow can even be considered legitimate when it's given under threat of death) as still valid despite the fact that this is centuries old history that she nor Jon had any choice in. When he refuses, she levies the accusation that he is somehow breaking faith with House Targaryen, despite the fact that according to feudal law, the Mad King very clearly broke faith with House Stark by nearly executing all of the men in the family.
This is the first moment where Jon actually pushes back against Dany's claims and points out that it was clearly House Targaryen that broke faith, and Daenerys admits some guilt on her father's behalf but asks that he forgive this crime and not judge a daughter by the sins of her father. That would be a halfway decent concession for her to make, were it not for the fact that it's buffered by two implications that Jon is responsible for an oath that his ancestor swore as well as responsible for the fact that his father was best friends with someone who attempted to kill her.
Her next attempt at winning Jon's allegiance is even stranger. She claims that House Targaryen and House Stark were allies for centuries, when the obvious reality is that they were unwillingly subjugated by House Targaryen and the Iron Throne for the entire time. She also calls them centuries of peace and prosperity, which they very clearly and objectively were not. Westeros has never been particularly peaceful, but it's also never been as chaotic as it was during the reign of the Targaryens. She also somewhat hilariously presents him with the offer of Warden of the North, as if that were a prize to be won for him and not an obvious downgrade in terms of his status among his people and in Westeros in general.
Jon refuses in a pretty fair retort, explaining that he isn't beholden to his ancestors vows and Daenerys isn't guilty of her father's crimes. It's interesting though, because Daenerys is frustrated by this. It's somewhat understandable that she'd be frustrated by the fact that Jon isn't bending the knee, but it's also intersting that she is frustrated by something that is an objectively fair propisition that puts both she and Jon on equal footing with one another. Throughout their conversation it's been clear that she does not see things that way, she expects Jon to bend the knee because someone who isn't him made a vow, but she doesn't expect to be held guilty for her father's crimes because it wasn't her doing.
When Jon says that he needs Dany's help and she needs his, her response here is very telling as well. Clearly she's flexing because she wants to be perceived as intimidating by everyone she meets, but what's curious is that she automatically disbelieves that she could need Jon's help when he hasn't even explained what she needs his help for. It's extremely telling because she is already in a mental position where she believes that nothing and no one could possibly pose any kind of threat to her.
Jon's engagement with the conversation takes an interesting turn here, because even after everything that has been said and done so far, he tells Daenerys that she is at least better than Cersei because she hasn't attacked King's Landing yet. While that is technically true and feels slightly more on par with the heroic Dany that everyone has seen so far, what the audience does already know is that she hasn't just decided not to attack King's Landing, she's been convinced not to attack King's Landing. Thus far, this is the only positive thing that Jon has said about her, and the viewers already know that it's false.
Jon, ever the wordsmith, tries to immediately apprise Daenerys of the gravity of the situation in the worst way possible by likening the game of thrones to children playing a game screaming that the rules aren't fair. But again, it's interesting that, even though Tyrion corrects her afterwards, Daenerys is offended that Jon is calling HER a child. And it seems that honestly, Dany has no interest in what Jon is saying to her so long as it's not about her and her right to rule Westeros.
What's also really bizarre here about Daenerys and Tyrion's behavior is that when he starts explaining what's going on with the army of the dead, they are both apathetic and disbelieving, despite the fact that Melisandre told them to summon Jon Snow because something big was coming and Jon knew more about it than almost anyone. It's possible that they were suspicious that it was some kind of trap or ruse, but it's strange that they both act so clueless and uncaring when they've both already been told that Jon was going to show up and tell them some wild shit.
The dialog exchange gets really bizarre at this point, because instead of actually responding to anything that Jon said, Dany goes off on a tangent that essentially sums up to the idea that she believes in nothing but herself and it's her destiny to rule Westeros. It seems so off topic that it's hard to even understand what the writers were trying to convey here, but the only thing that I can possibly comprehend is that they're essentially trying to make it clear that after everything Jon has said and done, Daenerys is still thinking of nothing more than her destined birthright.
And once again, we're all meant to see a contrast here because Davos intercedes and counters with the idea that if it's Dany's destiny to be queen, then all of Jon's accomplishments were his destiny too. This is interesting for two reasons though. The first is obvious, that Jon isn't the type to talk himself up or behave in a remotely entitled way, and that he doesn't command respect but earns it.
However, this points out something else interesting that is easy to overlook throughout this exchange. Daenerys is extremely forthcoming about herself, her accomplishments, and what she believes is her right, but Jon hasn't offered up any information about himself willingly. It's an understandable strategic tactic, there is no reason to offer up information to a potential enemy, but the fact is that this conversation clearly has confirmed in his mind that Daenerys is still a very possible enemy.
And unfortunately for both of them, as Jon and Dany's first ever conversation concludes, Daenerys actually confirms that Jon is her enemy, claims that he is in open rebellion against her, and takes him prisoner while refusing to admit that she's actually taking him prisoner.
Jon's conversation with Tyrion later is even more interesting. Because Jon directly calls out the fact that he's a prisoner, and Tyrion tries to claim the exact same thing that Dany did, that he's not a prisoner based on the incredibly frail technicality that Dany did not directly tell him that he was a prisoner. But even more importantly, this is an obvious instance where Tyrion could have told Jon that his message to him was intentionally misleading and Daenerys's aggression towards him may have been partially his fault, but he doesn't, nor does he explain this at any point later.
Another interesting element to their conversation is that Tyrion tells Jon that he actually does believe him about the army of the dead. It's interesting because, if that were the case, why did he so clearly tag-team Jon in his first meeting with Daenerys? Perhaps it took him a moment of thought to actually understand what Jon was saying and come around to believing him, but it's interesting that the writers had a character who was familiar with Daenerys and Jon who could easily have mediated between them and didn't have him mediate.
Tyrion also makes mention of the fact that children are not their fathers, luckily for all of us. While this is just a one off line and potentially means nothing, it's also a potentially very telling one because, honestly, Jon and Tyrion are very much like their fathers. Jon has idolized Ned for his entire life and desperately wants to be his father, and despite all of his attempts to distance himself from Tywin, Tyrion is clearly the Lannister child who is the most similar to his own father. So the subtext there about none of them being their fathers when even at this point two out of three of them are incredibly similar to their fathers specifically, seems like it could be very obvious foreshadowing.
But probably the most intriguing and noticeably strange aspect of Jon's conversation with Tyrion is that Tyrion explains to him that asking for Daenerys's help against an enemy she doesn't even believe is real is not a reasonable thing to ask. However, literally everything that Tyrion and Daenerys have asked of Jon so far has been wildly unreasonable to ask. Daenerys has asked a complete stranger to bend the knee to someone he's never met or even seen before, and she has essentially taken him hostage when he refused instead of just trying to convince him to do so. Jon even offers her an incredibly easy way in, he asks for her help, and if she provides it it's obvious that he and the rest of the Northmen would be much more open to the idea of her as their queen, but rather than even hearing Jon out she takes a seemingly desperate person as her prisoner with the clear intent of holding him there until he bends the knee.
When Tyrion convinces Daenerys to give Jon the dragonglass he requires, Daenerys makes her first attempt to actually relate to Jon on a personal level. It's once again interesting that Daenerys brings up the loss of her two brothers and relates it to Jon's loss of his brothers, because Jon offers literally nothing in return.
But what seems to be more relevant is Dany's position that everyone enjoys what they're good at and Jon saying that he doesn't. Once again, because the audience has the luxury of seeing Jon's entire journey thus far, it's easy to see why he feels this way. However, this seems to be another opportunity to point out the way in which Jon and Dany contrast each other, not to point out the ways in which they're similar to one another.
It's interesting that Melisandre claims that she has brought ice and fire together at the beginning of the episode. Aside from being a nice nod to the original text, it also positions Jon and Daenerys as opposing forces instead of united ones. And these constant contrasts that are being brought up from the instant that they meet seem extremely relevant to their relationship to one another, but the fact that Dany enjoys what she's good at while Jon doesn't seems to be the most vital bit of information that the show conveys about Jon and Dany right off the bat. Because there really are so many parallels between what they're good at. Much of Jon and Dany's journeys thus far have been about fighting from the bottom to get to the top, winning people over, and trying to kill their enemies before their enemies can kill them. However, many of the things that Jon seems to dislike about leadership the most seem to be things that Daenerys actually does genuinely enjoy.
It's safe to say that their very first meeting wasn't all that many fans were hoping for, however it seems like in the brutally short timeline of the final two seasons of Game of Thrones, the writers felt that the most important thing to establish between Jon and Daenerys right off the bat was not some sort of chemistry or romantic interest, but was the idea that these two people are diametrically opposed to one another in every way that matters. Despite the fact that their character arcs have had so many parallels thus far, the first episode where Jon and Daenerys actually meet seems to be designed to establish that everything about their personalities, dispositions, and overall ideals are on opposite ends of the spectrum, which was truly just the first gigantic step in establishing a romantic relationship that seems muddled, disjointed, and generally hard to follow and comprehend.
