Inquire within!
I'm trying to keep this low enough impact that I can accomplish them. I can sketch fairly quick enough, even if it's a full body (though that DOES take me longer), and I think I can manage this.
Feel free to peruse my art tags and see if I can draw for you.
Some other notes under a read more because I talk a lot:
I can be contacted via tumblr askbox, at the least, and I can contact you for more discussion via DMs after that. I also have a discord, and if I actually have a density of commission requests I can make a discord server to invite you into for more conversation. (I have several servers, admittedly, including one for artists/creatives, but it might be rude to clutter those with commission talk.) If you must reach out to me somewhere else, I have a bluesky or you can email me ([email protected])
I have a ko-fi for payment, or paypal. I've used the latter more often and I can figure out the invoice thing if that's your preference.
I'm a primarily humanform artist. I can do human +wings, perhaps horns, or a mermaid tail, but I typically draw humankind and human shapes. I'm not set up to be a furry artist, and I want to be able to work faster than having to figure out animal shapes on the fly would allow me. I might be willing to draw a small animal companion with your character of choice, but that's a big maybe.
I know I wrote the vague "portrait" up there in the image, and I stand by that, but I realized that could also include things like video game avatars, and (variable)-sonas (trollsonas, for example). Still in the human limits, but with additional fun involved.
I'm pretty mild across the board as far as internet users go, and I forgot to write it on the image itself, but I won't do heavy gore stuff either. Blood and wounds are okay, that's fairly mild, but I won't draw guts spilling out or severe eye damage or stuff like that. That's probably not in the purview of sketch commissions anyway, but I would rather not have to deal with gore.
I will give you a quote if we have to negotiate additional details that'll cost more than my base price before I get started, and you're free to say that you can't commission me if you want at that point. No hard feelings, I get that money's tight across the board. I'm trying to find the bridge between making it worthwhile for what I'm offering and also making it reasonable for me to earn the bare amount of what I need.
I'm okay with drawing your ship of choice if you're willing to pay for it and give me a little more time to work out the positioning of characters. hand holding is hard, haha. I won't draw lolicon/shotacon, and I still won't draw sex, but we can talk around what else there is.
I'm not up to doing a fully rendered/fully colored commission right now, I haven't had a good track record with going through the full process digitally. Unless we have a really compelling discussion and I get paid real good, or I do it traditionally after that discussion, that's not something I'm offering fully.
I will send you the commissioner the full size png when I'm all done, but I'll post a smaller tumblr-size jpg on my blog, after payment is received. Unless you'd rather otherwise, in which case we'll talk about it and I'm willing to leave it unposted. You're not allowed to post it yourself or use it (as an avatar for example) without proper credit to me, and DEFINITELY you're not allowed to feed it to some image generating "AI" dataset.
I will offer these in traditional options (pencils and micron pens), but I can't stream the process on discord.
I don't have a formal contract to offer anyone, and I don't wanna figure out a google forms thing. My conditions are fairly reasonable and within my means, I think. Don't post my art or give it to AI, you don't get the image until I've gotten paid.
I think that's it? I hope that's it, I've been out of the game for a whiiiile.
...this is a top tier Genesis I've drawn for this commission post tbh

Soulsmake Rules
Soulsmake is a low stakes, low pressure Life Series AU creation event. Sign up, be randomly paired with another creative, then spend the next month making an AU together! You do not have to make any art or writing, simply have a conversation with your soulmate!
The event schedule and more information on the sign up and pairing process is available in our pinned post.
Sign ups:
The only requirement to sign up is to have a discord account. You need to be 13+ to have a discord account, so you need to be 13+ to join the event.
When you join the discord, we will ask you to fill out a "dating profile" intro. In this, we'll as you to fill out a "yes" section, for your favorite characters/duos, favorite season, or alternate fandoms you're into; a "no" section, for anything you wouldn't be willing to create for (and are comfortable sharing), such as subjects, AUs or tropes, duos/CCs, or ship content; and an "ideal date" section, for your favorite AUs, tropes, or the kinds of things you like to create. This is optional, but will be helpful for us when rolling to avoid obvious mismatches and for your soulmate to quickly get to know you and your taste!
Respect and Flexibility:
Due to the random nature of this event, we are asking that you be respectful and flexible! It's very possible your soulmate will not be interested in the exact same things as you, so try to have an open mind about what the two of you can make. If you cannot be flexible or have difficulty compromising, this may not be the event for you.
Be considerate about the Yes and No sections of other users' dating profiles, as well as their interests in general. Do not be judgemental of what other people have written down. Conversely, please be respectful when phrasing your Yes and No sections. There is a world of difference between, for example, simply writing "shipping" down in your "No" field vs writing "shipping is gross." This rule holds both in the discord itself as well as when speaking to your soulmate one on one.
Do not push your soulmate to talk about or make something they have put in their No section. Additionally, if your soulmate confides privately in you about something they do not want to create, but did not want to share in a public space, please respect that, too.
If you cannot be respectful of other participants, you will receive a warning. If there are repeated instances of disrespect, you will be asked to leave the event.
If you find that you and your soulmate aren’t compatible for any reason (ie you can find no common ground, or you’re on opposite timezones, or you just don’t really click or get along), you can come to an amicable split and ask to reroll. Please do your best not to make splits personal or take them personally. It's okay if you find your randomly rolled soulmate does not work out, but it is not okay to take that out on your soulmate.
Creation:
The only thing you are required to do is have a conversation with your soulmate. You need to establish a general premise for your AU, with roles for your main cast and at least a rough outline of the plot.
You can create as much or as little as you want. Writers can write complete fic, a ficlet, or even just a bulleted outline. Artists can create a polished piece, a design or two, or simple sketches. If you have both artistic and writing skills, you can use both of them, even if you were "assigned" artist or writer. You can also create things like songs, playlists, cosplays, edits, or webweaves.
Just because you create something does not mean your soulmate has to. For example, if you make a fully rendered art piece, your partner does not have to write a complete fic to match.
You can show up with options of AUs or tropes that you like or a vague plot hook to discuss with your partner, but do not show up committed to only one AU/trope or with a full AU/fic that you already made prior to the event. You and your soulmate should be making something new together!
Though the theme is AUs, you do not have to make an AU. If you want to make something that is fully canon compliant, go for it.
While this event is for the Life Series fandom, if you and your soulmate find out that you share another unrelated fandom, feel free to make an AU for that instead! We're running this as a Life Series event to ensure all participants have at least one fandom in common, but if the spirit moves you to make an AU for, say, Naruto, who are we to stop you? The only fandom we will not allow is Harry Potter.
Original/OC/Sona AUs or stories are also completely fine.
If a pair of adult+adult soulmates want to create NSFW for their AU, they are allowed. However, we will ask that you tag it appropriately. Due to minors in the event, we will ask NSFW not be sent in the Soulsmake discord, and we will not reblog NSFW posts to this blog.
If you are posting content which would require a content warning, please tag it appropriately.
Do not use GenAI tools or Character AI / chatbots. Usage of GenAI art/writing or character AI chatbots goes against the entire point of this event. Usage of either will result in your removal from the discord.
If you have any questions about these rules, please check the #soulsmake info and #soulsmake qna tags for more information, or send us an ask!

Stan looking sexy at the back 🔥🌶️
Is this even allowed here on Tumblr XD cuz this looks pretty “mild” to me.

This is a meme reference to this pic XD I had this screenshot saved from TikTok and I remembered how good this would look on Stan pffff.

I used a bit of reference on the Tale of Two Stans episode in Stan’s room and I added some few details to make the room look “neat” haha
Okay so it wasn’t really my plan to fully render this piece since it’s just a meme XD it was supposedly meant to be a QUICK SKETCH XD but it looked so bland in flat colors and w/o the bg details haha so I went nuts and let out my creative juices. I’ve always wanted to like infuse my style in one of my Stan arts so if anyone would notice, this piece is more of pinkish/pastelish or a bit colorful hehe the only thing missing here are sparkles. I love making art that way!! but I wanted to also explore other styles so I was trying to make it more flat and less loud in my recent artworks. I feel so proud of this piece aaa I kinda wish it wasn’t a meme XD I could remove the mirror reflection tho hahaha.
Honestly, I forgot how fun drawing backgrounds used to be! (I will never stop saying this everytime I draw bg XD) I have so many projects I wanted to do in my list aaaaaa I think I’m gonna add making detailed illustrations in my list too….omg I could make a desktop background in this style!?!?!?!?! I feel so hyped agshdhdjdjfjd

Hiya pals!!! I have risen from my art block grave. I missed y’all, I’m so sorry for ghosting you guys lol I have never been great with keeping up with posting on social media🥲 ALSO happy belated birthday to Jungwon!!! I’m very late but I finished drawing this yesterday❤️✨
-
If you’re interested let me tell you what Ive been doing in this art hiatus🖤✨
The past months I have lost my motivation and inspiration to draw. Everything I drew I hated and I was very frustrated with the process of bettering my art skills. Along with that I would also get into the bad habit of wanting to make art for multiple things at once but not knowing what to start with so I would just not start anything at all! So with that I stopped drawing everyday like I used too and started to doodle every once in a while. Only recently am I starting to get my groove back! I’m learning to love and be okay with making bad art again in order for me to move forward with improving my art!!!
Also lately Ive just been trying to focus on bettering myself and my mental health along with focusing on the things that make me happy! So that’s what I’ve been doing in the meantime in this art hiatus! Currently still loving Kpop bands so don’t be surprised if there’s more art to come lol- I’m honestly really happy and excited that I’m gaining my love for drawing back, I absolutely hate when I want to draw but just can’t. With that being said I’m ready to draw all the things I’ve been wanting to no matter if it’s a sketch or a fully rendered piece! I also hope if any of y’all are in an art block or anything like that, know it’s ok to have breaks cause it will be better for you and your art when you are ready to pick up a pencil again! Or at least that’s what I think💕✨
Thank you for coming to my tedtalk LOL love y’all 💕😚

Here’s my 2024 Art Summary, terribly late as usual! We’re back to including some black and white in this year and my months were very clustered, but all things considered I was actually surprised I ended up with as many decent samples for the collage as I did. I was kinda expecting them all to be messy sketches this year lol.
Just like with my writing summary, this year the questions are a bit abridged since I didn’t do a ton of art. That said, I’m still a rambler haha, so the reflection questions are answered up the cut. The template I used is available here in case anyone else wants to use it!
What events did you participate in (with art)?Player Appreciation Week (old art), Fandom Trumps Hate (offered), CS Case Files Zine (comic!). Not really the type of art this summary is for, but I also created my first cosplay for RCCC!
What was your biggest challenge this year? Definitely motivation. Last year was a creative slump with a lot going on mentally making stuff hard. Mostly in start up energy, since once I got going, things seemed to go alright.
Did you try anything new this year? I got into a comic zine, which was new and exciting! My original plan was far too long for the creation period, though, so I spent a ton of time trying to widdle it down to 3 pages. I also did super messy spot art sketches for a friend’s fic, which ended up being a lot of fun! I also took some screenshots and then drew other characters into the show, somewhat trying to match the show’s style, which was definitely interesting.
Where do you think you most improved? I’m going to go with rendering again! I really love playing with color and lighting, and several of my collage pieces this year were just adding rendering to old pieces. I have a lot more confidence with it now, though I still sometimes feel like my pieces don’t end up as dynamic as I’d like. I also did a lot better at following inspiration and not being as perfectionistic this year.
What are you most proud of? I’m really proud of getting into a comic zine, even though it likely wasn’t that competitive. The fact that I got in for comics despite never having done art for a zine before is crazy to me! I was a pinch hitter, so I wasn’t originally selected, but I’m still honored I got picked eventually. I also am really proud of the August fully rendered piece of Player screaming. I did that one in almost one sitting, probably around 4ish hours, and it was one of my first times doing full color/rendering without cleaning the sketch much at all. Overall, I was very excited at how well it turned out and I feel like the messy emotions really come across!
How’d this year compare to your 2023 goals?Shoutout to past Sakarrie for giving me a straight bullet point list. MUCH easier to work with lol.
2024 Goals Met: -Number One Priority: Create for me and don’t put myself in a place to get crazy burnt out and still have requirements. If I meet this goal, then it’s okay if I don’t meet any of the others. (It would be sad.... But I would still count it as meeting overall goals.) -Participate in Summergen and PAW Week (Art or Fic) -Have a fully usable Zine Portfolio (Currently need more merch samples and rendered pieces with backgrounds) -Apply to new TOH Zines or other loved fandom zines. If I end up getting into any, I can pull back, but since that doesn’t seem likely, I want to get into the habit of always being ready to apply with what I have. -Play with different brushes and rendering styles -Not exactly art, but I want to have a finalized long-term merch display plan for all my items -Do ONE of the following: 1. 30 minutes digitized so it can be shared with music 2. Open Up Your Eyes fully thumbnail 3. Fanworks for other people’s fics 4. Participate in an extra bang or exchange with art 5. Design and manufacture a pin
The ones that don’t have strikethrough are a bit of a stretch, but I’m gonna give them to myself. While I haven’t added more pieces with backgrounds and need to reorganize my zine portfolio, it is in a decent place where I feel like I can use it and it will accurately represent my best work. I also didn’t really purposefully experiment with rendering or brushes, but it did happen naturally a little, so giving that to myself too. As for the ONE of the following list, I actually did digitize my 30 minutes thumbnails! It’s just not to music, so doesn’t count. Also holy dang, last year Sakarrie was ambitious with the proposal of manufacturing a pin haha.
2024 Goals NOT Met:-Design Handplates charm as anniversary gift (November) -Design CS Charm-Make an ongoing project list to pin to my tumblr. This applies mostly for fics, but that way people coming to my page can see what fandoms I’m actively creating for and what they can look forward to (as well as have an opening to ask questions if they’re interested). -Post more (at least 10 times throughout the year) and add my best pieces to instagram (8+ pieces by end of year). -Draw something from scratch every month, no matter how small
Yeah, these all I absolutely failed with. Oops. Probably gonna be using a fair few of these as my new goals haha.
Alrighty then, now it’s time for 2024 goals!! I think I want my main focus to be to try to draw more frequently. I’ve found that so much of what prevents me from drawing is startup energy, and once I actually get going, it all comes much easier.
Specific goals: -Organize a go-to zine portfolio for comics, merch, page art, and spot art applications -Try to draw every month (even the tiniest phone doodle counts) -Design Handplates charm as anniversary gift (November?) -Design CS Charm-Make an ongoing project list to pin to my tumblr. This applies mostly for fics, but that way people coming to my page can see what fandoms I’m actively creating for and what they can look forward to (as well as have an opening to ask questions if they’re interested). -Post more (at least 5 times throughout the year) and maybe look into Cara or whatever the non-instagram art app is. -Experiment more with drawing in sketchy art style with full color/rendering -Experiment more with screenshot redraw/character replacements -Do ONE of the following: 1. 30 minutes put to music 2. Open Up Your Eyes fully thumbnail 3. Fanworks for other people’s fics 4. Participate in an event with art 5. Draw and post for a new/niche fandom (Infinity Train, Sym-Biotic Titan, Irondad, The Flash, etc)
Overall, how’d the year go? Better than I expected when I first started pulling up my art haha. I didn’t push myself on anything but the CS comic, and that was pretty early on in the year. I also did a fair few doodle/sketch projects and followed the muse when it wanted to do rendering without drawing.

u r full of wisdom . care to share a bit of it? anything, could b art related
rule number one is to not give a shit. Making bad art is better than making no art at all. The time will pass anyway and you will improve if you try
make stuff and post them because you wanna. Don't do it solely for attention, you'll get tired fast cuz it's a soulless motive
Art is a complete illusion, if it looks like a hand, it looks like a hand. if the eye looks weird leave it alone, it's still an eye. You're gonna figure out how to eventually draw stuff without a sketch eventually so have fun with it
"perfect" is a myth, it's not real. Everyone, including you usually ignore any kind of mistake on someone else's art because it's the effort that counts
You can pretend that all ocs without a story is inside a huge apartment building in your mind. Eventually they'll be "hired" and put into an existing story or you'd make one for them. Don't rush it tho, it's okay to have ocs dormant
multishipping and fluctuating headcanons is good enrichment
Making up names is hella stupid, anything can be a name and no one will think twice about it so go ham. This goes for fictional characters or yourself
Treat your oc sets like it's an existing fandom, make so much fake posters, screenshots, lore dump, character renders etc
opening a window or sitting by a porch is a good "touching grass" thing to do. You don't need to go fully out, just get a bit of nature/reality for a moment
on the same note, you can lie down the floor and do nothing for a moment. Just like Napstablook
if it has nothing to do with harming you then don't get involved. Don't be stupid and "roast" a troll/terf in the comments. Report and block is the way to go, you don't need to douse yourself in hate
Also do not spread an unnecessary amount of negativity. No one wants to hear that you don't like a character in the character's tag, or a ship, or an oc, or a headcanon. You can dislike/hate it in private with someone else who dont like em too but for the love of fuck do NOT do express it in public even in anon
learn the difference between "not my preference" and "problematic" you can dislike a character or a HARMLESS ship or anything solely just cuz. No need to convince people to dislike it too if it's nothing horrible

Hi hi. I have been thinking about this good morning artwork since you posted. https://www.tumblr.com/bbyteach/757072025688866816/good-morning
It popped into my dreams last night fully animated. I just love it so much. The quiet intimacy. The shadows and colors. The softness conveyed by sharp and delicate line variations.
Getting back into drawing again after years of not and would love to know more about your process and materials. How you sketch. Do you use models? I cannot get over how real bodied these men are in your panels and illustrations.
Love following your work here and on your main blog. Appreciate your talent so much.
hey sorry i've been letting this one sit in my inbox for a bit while my life was a bit chaotic with work - but I do love this ask and talking about process! and i very much appreciate the love for the drawing, thank you for the commentary on the quiet intimacy!
For me it's a combination of starting from a reference, or, sketching out a pose and checking with a reference. I save a BUNCH of ref photos, and I'll pull up a few to look at to check on anatomy. i also have a huge camera roll of weird ref photos I take of myself. I do little checks with my own hands to see what's actually physically possible and such. I also try to keep in mind proportions and how that can be obscured by the lens in photos, so I also use guides on average human proportions:
also can't beat just good old fashioned pencil measuring to check
but outside of the basics, the general proportions of bodies are basically the same at different sizes, it's just getting used to knowing & looking at different bodies! I think this resource seems good - x
def recommend life drawing classes if you have any in person, but I think there's a lot online too. and draw your friends. draw real people you know (with permission). don't only look at people who will be on a cover of vogue or marvel heroes or whatever.
And i sketch a lot. my sketches kind of suck and normally don't look great. lol. i have an astigmatism so it takes a bit of rendering and trial and error to get it to feel like it looks... 'right'? if that makes sense. but also I did a few years only sketching in pen to get more comfortable just doing Lines. i have so many sketchbooks with very sketchy pen work that I would do between work/meetings/whenever I had any real time to do anything that wasn't those things. In recent years it's been great to really get back into drawing again. It's okay if you didn't do it as much or at all for awhile, it's always something you can do more of and refine over the years. 💖
it means so much to recieve so much love on my silly drawings and get a request on my drawing process because I still don't feel like i'm nowhere near where I want to be, and I think that's just the eternal problem for every artist. but I have a compulsion to keep drawing regardless and i just love to make stuff and I like talking with folks who also love to make stuff! I hope any of this helps or wasn't saying anything that felt too repetitive to any other advice or ideas you've heard before. 🙏

I'm trying to get into drawing and wanted to ask how you get yourself to draw your little low detail comics (like that 1000 kisses amy's birthday comic) instead of constantly drawing full pages (like in "My Gal"), because I keep trying to do these big full page pieces with backgrounds and everything but I'm still incredibly new to drawing and I need to get good at the small things that I think I could get better at by just doodling small things but whenever I try to get myself to doodle I just cant get myself to doodle. Have you ever had that problem?
Hmmm… this is a good question but it’s difficult to answer...
For myself, I draw those little doodle comics because:
1: they’re SUPER fun for me to draw. I just love them. I used to draw little Sonic stick drawings all the time as a kid and this is just an evolution of that
2: I don’t have time to draw all the ideas I have because I have about a zillion in my brain at once, so to get them out I’ll doodle them because then at least they’re out of my brain. So for me, it’s productive as well as fun.
I guess my main motivation is just I want to bring my ideas to life one way or another, and sometimes a little sketch will satiate me haha
I’m not sure if this will help or not, but my personal advice is to not put so much pressure on yourself. I firmly believe we should all make art because we love it, not because we feel like we need to do it. So if you don’t find joy in doing little doodles or sketches, then don’t! Sure that may mean it’ll take you longer to do the full scale comics you say you want to do, but if those more complicated pieces are what make you happy then you should go for it.
Also, don’t feel like you have to be publishing fully rendered, full-background, multi-page comics right away if you’re not ready for it. You can start with just a few panels. You can start without backgrounds. You can start with line comics only and then progress to color (IF you want).
NOBODY starts at an expert level. We all have to build our way up, but it’s okay to do it in a nonlinear way.
This was wordy and I’m not sure if it exactly answered your question, but at the very least I hope it’ll make you feel a little better about your situation.

OCtober 2024 day 19: palette challenge #1
So. For this prompt I decided to try something a little bit different. I have never drawn anything where I truly limited myself to just one colour palette and I honestly didn't know if I could figure it out with my current art style. Which means in Lix terms: OVERHAUL YOUR ENTIRE ART PROCESS IN AN EVENT FOR THE LOLS!
Which resulted in my first proper drawing of Trix, Val's sucessor and a true spitfire 🫡
More yapping under the cut.
Okay.
New art style tried out.
It was certainly and interesting experience because I completely winged the entire thing. I drew a rough sketch of her features and then just... messed around. I scrapped my intial try at the face and redid it and I'm not a hundred percent satisfied with it yet but I'd say for my first try this turned out pretty damn good.
And honestly while the face was a struggle the hair... My guys this was probably the easiest hair I have ever drawn digitally and I'm not exaggerating here. I could skip the entire lineart process by default so I just... layered the strands added some shade and highlight and it turned out so fucking good I'm still baffled by it. Like... I wanna draw here like this all the time but I also want the hair to match the rest of the drawing and it's jarring if I skip lineart with hair but have it with the rest of the piece. So either I just figure out how to properly draw without lineart entirely or I maybe adjust the way I do lineart I don't know what yet. Also I will need to experiment with different hairstyles just to see if this wasn't a fluke.
Btw this entire thing took me one and a half hours and six layers. SIX FUCKING LAYERS!!! THIS IS INSANE I NORMALLY NEED AT LEAST TEN FOR A FULLY RENDERED PIECE LIKE WHAT THE FUCK????? I had: background, face, eyes, hair plus two layers for light and shadow rendering. This seriously blows my mind like... dude... And I mainly used just one brush for this with just a bit of airbrush at the end for the rendering. I haven't touched any other tools either, I didn't even use clipping mask (which tbh i have maybe one for some of it but I just went: fuck it we ball).
Anyways conclusion: This is fire and I need to figure out what to do with this newfound power in the future 🫡

It's okay to have some miscommunication and miss some details on some parts. As long as you communicate further to fix an issue, everything is okay!
Since there is money involved, the matter on the situation is much more important, definitely, and the client is the boss.. but don't beat yourself up for this, okay? Mistakes happens and you went through a rough one...
Just take the time to talk things out and take as much details as possible next time so you can prevent unnecessary comes and goes.
Just please understand the client like the client understands you too so everyone gets a win!/lh
Hi there! I assume this was about the Afreakingdorks post. Thank you that's very sweet. And thank you for reaching out.
There was absolutely some miss communication between the two of us and I adapted to all of her requests as best I could. The issues arose when she requested more than 3 edits past the sketch phase. In my price sheet I state that they are alowed unlimited edits in the sketch phase, then 3 free edits past the sketch stage, but after 3 edits I would need to start charging for my time. This is when the issues began because they were unwilling to pay for edits but insisted, I make them for free. When they were unwilling to compromise, and the conversation was seeming to go downhill I agreed to show them the flats layer to prove I did in fact add gray to their Sona's fur and reduced the opacity in the light layers to make them show more. I also emailed the files to them with the edit function enabled so they could mess with the files any way they pleased since it was not quite what they had wanted. I also offered them a 50% refund for the piece which they refused. I know they were also talking about the file "conveniently appearing" after they harassed me on 2 different tumblr accounts. But they didn't consider that I had sent them 3 high resolution PNG's that take a few minutes to send over. So I guess to her it looked like they just appeared after she started spamming me on her two other accounts.
To be perfectly clear to any of her followers that came to my page due to this altercation. She received several WIP's. She made edits to those WIP's which I then made, and she approved of them/ gave the thumbs up for me to continue the illustration. This happened several times during the sketch phase and 3 times during the line art phase. She then received said finished piece but requested more edits for free. When I told her I couldn't make any more edits for free she got upset. She requested I send what I had to her email which I did, and she received it. The transaction was completed.
She also showed screenshots of our conversation but cut them up and rearranged them to make it look like I was taking advantage of her on her blog.
I've been receiving commissions for over 5 years and never had an issue with a customer. I'm always willing to compromise with the customer as well. But once it was clear she was trying to get more work for free and continued to gaslight me in the conversation, it was time for the transaction to end. They paid for a fully rendered illustration with two characters and two side images. I illustrated the background for free for them. Thats the full image they received. I would share our screenshots as well and the image itself but since It was an NSFW piece and there are minors following me I do not want to expose the imagery to on this platform.
There were several instances where they were directing me to manga/comic style while contradicting themselves and insisting I draw it in my own style and liked where the piece was going which added another layer of confusion.
All and all this has absolutely been an interesting customer experience. If she wants to moan about how I hurt her reputation and sladerd her good name, she has ever right and I certainly won't stop her. It's disappointing to see from a 31 year old adult. But what can you do, I'm not willing to add to her pitty party.
I'm sorry to keep going on about this. That was a long post and I really appreciate the fact her followers are willing to stand up for her so much.
I'm just an illustrator she commissioned to draw her sona having sex with Donnie from ROTTMNT in a bathroom stall. I'm not interested in making this into a whole ordeal.

Dude asking, for a friend but how the hell do you find the motivation to finish animatics/comics/interactions and stuff .!?! Your art’s so cool and very tasty i wish i could absorb the way you draw mouths specifically
helloo:3 oo thats such a good question lol bc a lot of the time i DO give up on many art pieces/ideas, most of which never even make it to a sketching phase...i have so many little blurbs from my notes app that just. stayed as little notes and blurbs. (it's also extra tricky bc i don't have as much free time as i used to as a teen lol, thems the breaks when ur a working college student...i gain better art knowledge but at the cost of money and free time...AUHG)
BUT as for motivation? hm, it's different for everyone, but some advice that helps me: break things down, set up a semi-deadline, and also be self indulgent as hell with your work.
for my post-juno incident comic- i almost gave up halfway on it! i'll share the fully process on it eventually, but long story short the second half was in a sketch/lineart phase for a longggg time (december-february...). i would just stare at it in my drafts. eventually, i came back to it one day and was like...let me at least clean up the lineart. so i did that. then i was like, okay let me at least color Mind. did that. okay let me color Soul...okay im just fixing their color palettes...okay just add that to every panel...okay let me get the background colors....slowly and surely, the comic was getting finished! i tried to tackle it one part at a time. it sounds simple, but i find it's very easy to get overwhelmed with how much you have to Get Done. breaking it down into phases and working through each one really helped keep me from burning out and staying motivated!
another thing that helps is deadlines! self imposed ones, to be exact. and those can be as soft or as serious as you choose, for any time you make art. say an anniversary is coming up, and you want to make something for it! that's massive motivation right there. and sometimes it's something you really to have to push yourself to make. i started my little spree week of posting on a specific day to end on the CCCC 2nd anniversary, and some of my drafts (like the comic and anniversary piece itself) weren't finished yet! insane motivation to finally lock in and finish. but of course, don't break yourself trying to make it either, a date is just a date, and you can meet the deadline as you please (reference). if you would be less stressed being a day or week or so late, by all means! sometimes it's just nice to have your own personal projects to work on in the background of whatever else u have going on.
finally, be self indulgent as hell in your work. find whatever you like to see/make in your art, and do it as much as you want! personally, nothing motivates me in making art more than wanting to see my own art. im pretty egotistical, pretty much all of my shared pieces are stuff i personally thought was cool and had fun making. my favorite things to work on are sketches or lineart, mainly revolving around character interactions, be it comedic or insane. i genuinely just love drawing it so much, i go crazy without it, sometimes it's not so much motivation as much as it is a compelling. which works too. and on the flipside, if you don't want to do something, you don't have to do it! for example, i dislike rendering, so i avoid it as much as possible. free will baybe!!
one final note, don't be afraid to walk away from ideas or pieces...you can always come back to them when the time comes! i make a lot of sketches, but it takes weeks or even months for them to get finished into digital works. and that's not a bad thing, in fact, it even helps you decide what ideas truly intrigue you enough to want to go back to, thus making motivation to keep working on them much more easier.
i ramble a lot, but mostly this is just some advice that helps me personally! follow it as much or as little as you wish, and good luck!! (and tysm for the compliment btw, feel free to absorb the way i draw mouths!!:3 ive studied it from other artists and implemented it in my art, and of course anyone can study from me and implement into their own works!! yippee!!!)
#long post#pondering lip curls straight lined teeth and gums...yess...i love mouths..#its so funny you mention motivation too. i actually almost fell out of my chonny jash phase in january. it was actually almost upsetting#i had no motivation to do anything cccc related and i was actually v miserable abt it#for some odd reason. going back to school seemed to fix it?? and also chaos week of course#but i got assigned hw again and was like. NOOO BUT I WANT TO MAKE CHONNY JASH FANART NOOO#so. sometimes longing to ignore all your school problems helps to motivate#but im not abt to encourage that LMFAOO. STAY IN SCHOOL!!!#jaggy posts#jaggy texts#inbox

SUPER MEGA PROTIP FROM ARTFIGHT VETERAN!!!!
HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!
Okay, no, on a serious note: here's some things I would like to share with new people as a person who participates in Artfight since 2019:
you don't have to make fully rendered attacks. sketch is a category for a reason! "even" sketches are immensely appreciated
actually, you don't even have to *draw* for attacks! last year I did some minecraft skins for fun. saw someone make dice sets as attacks. as long as it's allowed and it's art created by you (and tagged accordingly) you can make whatever the heck you want!
you don't have to make your art digitally either. traditional attacks are epic. love em
having fancy character references is not a requirement! if art of ur oc shows their design (or at least most important aspects of it) and is decent quality, it's enough. a lil tip tho - don't add shaded/textured drawings for that matter, hard to color pick. if these are the only ones you have, make a basic color palette next to it!:) helps others make your character look accurate
pace yourself. yes, there are people who draw attacks everyday. yes, there are people who drop attacks with 100+ characters in it. doesn't mean you have to do same thing! it's all about having fun and, trust me, grinding until you are sick of drawing is not fun. been here, done that
revenges and friendly fire aren't a MUST. you want points? okay, if u wanna grind, then go ahead and attack opposite team! person who attacked you has characters that you can't/aren't comfortable with drawing? it's okay not to do revenge. Revenges are fun, I always try to do them, but it's not something you absolutely must do.
try to always read characters permissions and descriptions. sometimes there's key info in them and I feel like it's quite important to stay accurate to them. again, if you can't do something they ask you there - it's okay to choose different character or person to attack
don't attack someone expecting them to 100% attack you back. if you set your expectations to that, you might get disappointed and it takes away the fun from ya. attack because you want to draw the character, because it has cool story, cool design, the person is cool so you want to give em a lil gift, etc, etc. Same as you don't have to attack everyone back, they don't have to either
hitlists are optional. some people make em, some don't. same with those funky id cards, my lazy ass gave up on em this year and it's cool 👍
basically don't be an ass, have fun and remember to take breaks!
Also, if ya want, add my dumbass (~simplymisty_) on artfight, because I'm in jail of making refs at the last minute, so I try not to go on AF until im done with em. I do friendly fire, revenges, revenge chains and try to draw basically anything. Love that artfight grind. Hope you liked my autistic rant, it's 5 am and idk what I'm talking about anymore

so i meant to ask a while ago...
i can obviously draw stuff from fandoms i've posted stuff in-- danganronpa/fangans, disventure camp, milgram, project sekai, etc-- but i'm also totally open to ocs or series i haven't posted before as long as i have the proper guidance!
and, if your answer is no, it's totally okay to be honest. i know it looks biased towards me trying to get you to pick yes, but imo there are just multiple ways to say yes and pretty much only one to say no. all i'm trying to do is figure out if there are enough people who are interested that it's worth it to spend the time to figure out prices and payment methods :)
#hopefully a poll is the correct way to ask this question#also i know it could be hard to gauge yes or no without any listed prices#just imagine them as pretty standard commission prices and it's okay if you change your answer depending on whatever i come up with#(if this winds up occuring)
