In the beginning the alternate had done what it was supposed to do: find a target, choose who they would disguise themselves as and finally torment the person they picked. 

However, it was in the stages of stalking their target when things started to change. 

They started to have strange feelings towards their target that they didn’t understand. 

Yet they found they enjoy the feelings this person gave them so they continue to follow them around. 

It was when they saw their former target interacting with others is when they really started to step in. 

And so, a new emotion was born of jealousy and it was their biggest motivation yet. 

They started with those who were dangerous then moved to others who got too close and finally those who dared to try to “protect them”. 

They know the other humans couldn’t really protect them so one night while their former target was locked away either in their own home or someone else’s they went to work. 

Sure, it may have been a hellish night for their new pet but it will be the start of something that neither ever expected.

Hi, I was wondering for a while and decided to ask the expert: How do you think Auri-El worship and understanding of him differed between Altmer, Falmer and Ayleids? What little surviving imagery of Falmer's version of him doesn't seem to have any bird imagery unlike the other two races, instead depicting him as a full elf, so I'm wondering what your take on it is.

Excellent question anon! So excellent I spent a few days mulling it over, looking through notes, and even made a few headcanons along the way. The main points are in bold:

The only Falmeric depictions of Auri-El in the canon are in Skyrim and, to an extent, ESO. The Skyrim depiction is the Elven statue with the vaguely dragonbone-looking robes, whereas the Font of Auri-El has this lovely codex:

Elves make a point of including Elven likenesses in their shrines to reinforce their familiar connections to the Divines. This probably rested near a statue of the Chief Divine himself."]

The font in ESO is a giant wayshrine-like structure with the symbol of Auri-El, a sun with eight curved flares, glowing gently in the center. This symbol is also seen in Skyrim, atop the wayshrines along the Chantry.

Notably, there are no statues of Auri-El, Elvish or otherwise, near these wayshrines in the Chantry. Which is the place made specifically for Auri-El worship. It's entirely possible that the sun was the default, with animal aspects taking on a more specific or diplomatic connotation; I can see the Falmer using the Eagle or even the Dragon to explain their faith to Atmorans.

My headcanon is that Elvish depictions of the Divines were based on the current Prince of that Divine. The Elf you see in the Chantry is, in my interpretation, a depiction of the Snow Prince who reigned when the Chantry was being built. Given that he's bald, it's possible that he was newly anointed as Prince.

Building on the previous bullet point, one of my longest held headcanons about the Falmer is that they were the most spiritual of the Elvish races, which is reflected in their iconography. Instead of conflating their visage with actual gods, they opted for abstractions and symbols as the gods simply do not take a mortal form. A mortal form is made from material, and that means material wants and material burdens; they shed all that! That's how they ascended in the first place!

Some exceptions exist. The Demigod Mara sacrificed her divinity to remain on Nirn, and so she was often depicted as either a mortal or a wolf.

This... differs quite a bit from the Altermic and Ayeild depictions of Auri-El, with the Altmer leaning heavily towards "Elven DILF" and the Ayleids using both Elven and animal aspects, sometimes at the same time.

The Ayeildoon statue of Auri-El is at Garlas Malatar, which is notably where Meridian champion Umaril the Unfeathered made his lair. I may or may not have extensive headcanons on the implications.

The Auri-El statue in the Forgotten Vale and the one in Alinor's Temple of the Divines look eerily alike. I am chalking this up to asset recycling.

Had a rant to Sol last night regarding how I enjoy the M.ic.key 17 / 18 ( 35 ) interactions while I see ourselves in them as alters sharing the same physical appearance via inhabited body, along with how much I wished Sol and I could interact in separated bodies, and I have been actually been thinking of us writing a sci-fi novel about an DID haver main fronter who have their closest altermate / main co-fronter be placed in a separated body as some form of experiment conducted by this evil organization that seeks answers within the unknown of the cosmos. Very much inspired by medias that explore identities and iterations like Sev.era.nce, the Sub.stan.ce, and of course M.ic.key 17. Obviously no stereotypical OSDDID horror tropes are to be done in this novel, but one of the two protagonists will be more aggressive with another meeker as inspired by my and Sol's mindsets and attitudes. The novel very much focuses on the journey of self discovery, self acceptance, and self love, while fighting opposing figures of ignorant society, mental health + OSDDID stigmas, and dehumanizations. Been thinking the protagonists' faceclaims would be Ro.be.rt Pat.tins.on, and from this experiment, they may develop powers of time and space manipulations.

At that time, comics were at their peak, and there were really a lot of different characters. But I thought that heroes who lost a battle or who were depressed after failing a mission were cooler than heroes who fought against the enemy." I see, Greg doesn't draw just any superhero. He only draws lonely heroes that we don't usually see, like Batman drinking coffee alone in a cafe.

"What are those heroes doing these days? What are they like when they're not fighting? I don't want to fight right now. I don't want to wear a Batman suit on any other days. I'm sure they have the same feelings that we have in our daily lives. But I was interested in what heroes look like when they're not acting as heroes."

After that, Greg exhibited clothing objects made from hand-zoned ordinary pieces of paper at Barneys New York in 2010 and Colette in 2011. He held the exhibition "Altermation."

"Everyone has a person or character they admire. For some kids, it's a doctor or an athlete.

In other words, Greg promotes the intermingling of reality and imagination.

The sculptures, which are based on jackets, dress shirts, and tuxedos, are made from thin paper, but they have an unusual sense of weight to them that make them seem as if they are made of steel.

Shifting from something to watch to something to wear

Following his "Altermation" exhibition, Greg Lauren held his "Barracks" exhibition in Soho, New York, for one week only in 2011. More than 30 one-of-a-kind clothes and accessories were installed in an industrial space of exposed concrete and exposed electric wires. His creations have evolved from the art-beauty exhibition "Altermation" to wearable real clothes. The trigger for making these clothes was Greg's question to himself: "Why do I like military clothes so much?" Is it a pursuit of masculinity, or an expression of the heroism of the soldier? Greg had already started collecting US Navy jackets, tents, and even duffel bags, but his collection accelerated further for "Barracks."

"Alternation" was created around the theme of "heroes" who are people Greg admires or have perfect personalities. And "Barracks" was held in Soho, New York. The concept was similar, but it was an installation with a completely different approach, expressing the "beauty of imperfection". These one-of-a-kind military clothes were created when Greg started making the clothes after using paint brushes about four months ago.

This may sound a little silly and obvious, but over time one really notices more and more the militaristic and even imperialist mindset of Muv Luv Altermative and its world and narrative. You literally have those higher than those under than them (I don't know all the lingo) kicking children to harden them for the world or whatever while they're down in a side thing and having it be portrayed as a good thing that they need. There's also the whole alternative history thing where imperial japan still exists and there's a whole thing about japanese identity from that perspective with not particularly any criticism of it in any real world sense. Like yeah it's kind of obvious in hindsight lol, but if you don't really know as much about japanese history and aren't really looking for that stuff to criticize, it can be missed or unemphasized.

Harper and feena r supposed to be my silly ocs that are my go toos when i start daydreaming and drawing! Their not supoosed to have too much trauma and stuff (IM CONTAINING MYSELF) so i camt head empty and harper its also so when i draw them they make me happy they are my happyness. So becazue i cant give them trauma i make altermate realitoes where i CAN give them trauma!!

Im gonna make sections so i caj explain everthing so it can atleast try to make sense

1. THEIR RELATIONSHIP :3

Ok so when i started I made them friends ofc!! And i thought they where cool as hell so i started thinking about their relationship and i was thinking how wierd it would feel if they where a couple so their thing is that their completely platonic and are jist realy close friends that are realy comfortable with each other, i wouldnt say like 'siblings' but more like that one cousin that your realy close with. I like to think of them as denji and power from chainsaw man (however i see denji and power as more of siblings) but no matter how close they get with eachither they dont feel anything romantic :3 i have a thing that when they where 14/15 they where like fuck it lets kiss and they hated it!!!!! they wanted to die!!!!!

I also have different ages for them i draw them as for whatever mood im in! So i have toddler harper and feena (theyve met in primary school) and then children harper and feena (10-12) and then theres also teen (14-16) and preadult idk forgot what its called (17-19) and adult! (20-22) by 20-22 they have an appartment with 2 other roomates nadia and caspian i dont realy have a story for them yet however they do have designs. So basically they jsut spend their entire lives together as besties and this is their main world where their happy and have no trauma and are just silly!!

3. Childhood and all

So i dont wanna give them a traumatic childhood since their my silly chracters!!

HOWEVER, they do have some sort of backstories.

Feena:

Some sort of religious trauma, her family where 100% praise our lord and saviour jesus christ and she didnt feel part. Knew what she was when she was a teen and after harper came out and was more comfortable. Didnt tell her parents until she moved out, (they very obviously didnt take it well) however is still in touch with them!! Their just kinda realy uncomforable whenever the subject changes to jesus or gay stuff idk.

Harper:

Twas a bit (a lot) stupider than most people his age (austismmmmm) his parents payed more attention to their sisters so that they could have a better education instead of wasting their time on a child thatll never learn and refuses to listen (wasnt diagnosed till he was an adult so they thought he was being annoying purposefully). Tbh just whats a hug LMAO. He came out to his parents, they told him it was just a phase and theylll get out of it eventually.

5. Universes

Like i said since i dont want harper and feena to have too much trauma i create new universes for them! Other than my main ailly one theres another 3 i favour out of all the ones i make

1. I made a dystopian after apocolypse one (MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ITS SO FUN TO MAKE!!) where the aftermath is that the world (well at leats where their living) is split into two, the privlidged and less priveledged (I NEED NAMES FOR THESE I DONT HAVE ANY) anywwy what i think i can best decribe this as is like the hunger games, where theres the 'capitol' and the 'districts' but instead of there being districts its all just survival of the fittest L lmao so yah. So after the apocolypse harper and feena are split up. Feena ends up with the privileged and harper ends up with the less. Harper finds a place he can call 'home' (FOUNDFAMILYFOUNDFMILYFOUNDFAMILY) and feena ends up on the other side where she gets her memories wiped and she then hets brainwashed to belive she was sent down as a gift from god during hard times and everyone is supposed to worship her (tehe i wont bother yiu with any more of this story)
