こんばんは。M3からだいぶたちましたがみなさまいかがお過ごしですが？ ライナーノーツ第2弾です。 早速楽曲解説の続きから行こうと思います。 3回に分けるとしていましたが、わける意味を感じないため無理やり2回にねじ込もうと思います。多少長くなりますがご容赦を。 今回は「解説」に「反省点」、「制作を経て」、「今後について」と「まとめ」になります。

編成解説 他の曲と比較し特徴的なのはハイハットとティンホイッスルでしょうか。ピアノは2トラックあるのですが、リズムとメインを分けました。 比較的度のパートも低音が強めになっています。バイオリンと木管が高音を担い、他のパートは低いほうに回ることが多いですね。中域はピアノ、ギター、トランペット（高域も一部）、バイオリン2パート、ビオラなど。 ティンホイッスルなどを入れてみたのですが、オケになじんでしまい、あまり特徴をうまく使いこなせてない感じになってちょっともったいないかなという感じがしています。もう少しソロとかで出しても良かったかも。

楽曲解説 題名の通り、再起を意味する曲に仕上げたもの。 楽曲には再び立ち上がるための力強さをひたすらに込めました。 今回ストリングスの響きが多いですが、中でもバイオリン、ビオラあたりの中低音の響を大事にすることを意識しました。 最後のほうに非常に盛り上がる、強い部分がありますが、そこにはありったけの力を振り絞り、こぶしを握っているような場面を想像してみてください。 ここは一番良い形でエレキギターとほかの楽器が効果的に混ざった場面かと感じています。

編成解説 2015年「クロイロ。」のときから主に大幅に音源を入れ替えました。 ギターはELECTRI6ITYからAmpleSound系に差し替え、変に演奏を意識していたギターパートはトラックを一つ増やし、一貫性を持つようにしました。コーラス音源を差し替え、バイオリンのレガート部分はQLHSに差し替えました。 アレンジも一部大幅に変えたりと雰囲気はそのままにし、整理整頓しながら以前と全く同じにならないようアレンジを加えた形になります。 前のバージョンより、まとまりが出たのではないかと思っています。 個人的にはギター音源のミュートの音が好きでオートメーション書いて出したいところは目いっぱい出してみました。

楽曲解説 以前は題を「クロの」と「クロノ」をかけていたんですが、今回はナチュラルにしました。（黒の法則‐つまるところクロノセカイの法則、決まりがあること、クロノ‐時間的な部分をつかさどる少女、という意味でつけた。） 当初は手をつける予定が全くなかったんですが、ふとしたきっかけで聴くことになって、どうしてもリニューアルしたくなって。 音色を差し替えたり足したり、ストリングスは単純和音に音を追加して多少ハーモニーがきれいに響くようになったかと。一部はアレンジを大幅に変えています。 あとは雑になっていたところを調整したりとかもしました。当初は良いと思ったところも、今聞いたら「ん？」みたいなところがたくさんあって大変恐縮な想いでしたが…。 ミックスも重低音を強化し、ドンシャリ気味に調整しなおしました。 この曲はバンド編成が地盤になっているので、オーケストラ編成はどちらかというと、装飾的な扱いでしたが、今回のリニューアルで結構豪華さが増したかなと思います。

編成解説 金管メインのオケ編成プラスバンド、みたいな編成ですがリズムはバンド寄り。楽器編成は他とあまり変わりませんが、一番フルで編成してるのはこの曲じゃないでしょうか。基本的に戦闘曲が好きなので自分の好きに徹底的に寄せた曲なので、編成で特筆するところといえばテーマに沿った、という点です。 最近は少女的な面を曲に取り入れたい試みが多く、メロディラインはなるべく線の細い、高め、リリースに特徴のある可愛いらしいイメージの音を入れることが多いですね。 好きな音が全部詰まっている感じです。金管ホルン、トロンボーン、木管にフルート、ピッコロ、そしてギターにオルガンの音。

楽曲解説 この曲は発作的に書いた曲と言って過言ではありません。良くも悪くもいつも通りの戦闘曲風。戦闘曲好きが高じた一作となっています。 この作品の肝、というか魂は1:16～からのストリングス中心のアンサンブルです。 クワイアを入れていないのに、天に昇りそうなクワイアっぽい錯覚音が聞こえるのはなんか不思議な感じです。 とはいえ全体的にストリングスのハーモニーはかなり気にして作っています。 現時点での私の（個人的）最高峰です。

反省点

毎回課題になるのですが、ミックスです。 正解がない分、非常に苦労するのですが、今回はちょっと音圧を意識しすぎて繊細さが喪われた部分があったように反省しています。 ただ、音は以前と比べ芯が太く、バランスが良くなったんじゃないかなと思います。 プラグイン全般的にWAVESに差し替えたというのもありますが、音質は「クロイロ。」時に比べ格段に上がったのではないかと。 monotoneシリーズはrenapさんをはじめプロと同等の実力を持つ方々にお願いしていましたので、ある意味少し頼り切っていた部分がありました。 今回はその反省もあり、自分なりに試行錯誤しては見ましたが、難しいですね。 あとはダイナミクス、緩急の付け方ですかね、をもう少し繊細にできればよかったです。 リレー的な音の運び、音の強弱については個人的に特徴かと思っているのですが、もう少し強い表現で丁寧にできればなという課題が残りました。 マスタリングも、個人だけでやると非常に難しいな、と感じました。 次回制作の場合の課題とします。

制作を経て感じたこと

今回、音楽制作に注力しました。 そこで大きく見えてきたものが「音楽制作における限界」です。 これが技術的にではなく、モチベーションという点が主です。 技術的には先ほどかいた反省もそうですが、まだまだ至らぬ点があること重々承知しています。 今まで、得意だと思って何となく制作してきた音楽。 なぜ自分は音楽を作るのか、問いかけるいい機会かと思ったので、あえて自分を追い込んで制作をしてみました。 時間はあったのだけれど遅々として進まない制作。 何が原因なのだろう、と考えたときに自分の中にあった確かな音楽制作の熱は2曲ぐらい作った段階でかなりの割合が潰えていました。 純粋に作曲が楽しかったころとは変わってしまい、曲作りを単純に楽しめない自分がいることに気が付いたのです。 反骨的な衝動で制作したくなる欲はあくまでも衝動的欲求であり、それが満たされると、欲は制作に向かなくなります。 僕は音楽が好きかと聞かれれば好きと答えるし、制作が趣味ですかと聞かれれば趣味ですと答えます。 でもそれは、音楽そのものが好きかといわれれば答えはNOだし、今、作曲活動が楽しいかと聞かれればそれも答えはNOです。 僕が好きなのはあくまでゲーム音楽で、それに付随する音楽を作りたい、もしくはアイデンティティを持っている音楽を自分の解釈に変換したい。 改めて、自身は作曲家よりはアレンジャーであり、さらに言えば、音楽作曲ではなくBGM作曲なのだなと。 今回をもってオリジナル音楽中心の活動は当面の間控えようと考えています。 別に音楽をやめるわけではなく、あくまで自身の「得意技」として引っ提げておくつもりです。 ただ、今は限りある時間や興味を費やして、燃焼して作りたいものは「音楽」じゃないなと。 時間が解決する部分もあるかと思いますが、しばらく音楽は別の目的を達成するためのひとつの「手段」としてとらえ、そしてひとつのツールとして考え、必要であれば制作をするといった形になるかと思います。

今後の活動方針について

今まではあくまで音楽サークル「サイソウクウカン」だったのですが、 ここで創作サークル「サイソウクウカン」として再スタートしたい、と考えています。 僕が表現として推し進めている「少女」×「音楽」ですが、「少女」というモチーフを主軸にしてすべての創作物を考えるようにしたいなと。 サイソウクウカンの「少女」というのはあくまで創作上の視覚的コンテンツであって、聴覚的な表現はあくまで、補助的な役割になるという考え方です。 長い建前を立てましたが、本音のところは音楽制作だけではモチベーションがついてこない、対してイラストに関してはインプットアウトプットのモチベーションが高まっており、どんどん絵を描きたいと感じています。 なので活動の主軸を視覚的表現に移そうかと、そう考えています。 サイソウクウカンの創作物語をどういった手段で届けるのが一番最適か、今のところはビジュアルノベル形式の創作かなと、考えています。 イラスト、キャラクターありきで音楽、文字によってその作品に時間軸を与える、今までだましだまし、生煮え状態だったサイソウクウカンをちゃんと形にしたいなと。 ここ3～4年を経て、イラストに関してはようやく人様に見せても良いかという自信と、上達を実感できたため、ようやく視覚的表現を行うに至っての個人的な最低スタートラインに立てたかと思っています。 取り組みの内容は今までよりもはるかに多くなりますので、制作にどれほどの時間を要するかというのは現状のところ見当もついていませんが、何らかの形にできればと考えています。 そしてやはり音楽は作品の一部として重要な役割を有するため、音楽制作に関しては引き続き行っていく所存です。 もし音楽作品として出すことがあるとすれば、サウンドトラックといった形になるかと考えています。 また、新しい試みとしてゲーム向けの素材制作など行ってみようかなと。 また、サイソウクウカンとは別口で、個人、しかもゆーさんだーZ名義での活動になりますが、水面下でゲーム制作が動いているので、そちらも実現に向けて頑張ってみようかなと考えています。

サイソウクウカンの創作はひるまあおいの最もやりたかったことを詰め込んでいくもので、綺麗とか汚いとかはいったん排除して表現したことに忠実になることが目標です。 これまで、音楽が気になると、当サークルの作品に触れてくれていた方々からみれば、まったく見当違いなものとなる可能性があり、もしそうなってしまったら申し訳ないな、といった気持ちがあるのもまた事実です。 僕自身があまり声を上げないことがそもそもではあるのですが、何か「声」があればそれがひとつ創作活動の方針として立てられる場合も大いにあるかと思います。

今までカッコつけてやってきた音楽。カッコついていたどうかは定かではありませんが、 色々な作品や文化に触れ、カッコつけるのをやめて、心に従い作りたいものに向き合う準備ができた、これは自身が成長したものと思いたいです。 表現はいまだにためらいや葛藤があるのも事実、色々な意味で時間がかかるかと思っていますが、見守っていただければ幸いに思います。

まとめ

大変長くなりましたがこれにてライナーノーツを締めとさせていただきます。 つらつらと色々書きましたが、後ろ向きな理由はなく、前向きに考えていきたいと思います。 今回、アルバムが何となく前を向くために立ち上がるような意味となったのは、サークルとしてもまさに「Re boot」したい、といった願望が出たのかなと、そんな風に思っています。 ひるまあおいのリアル人生においても大きな転換点を迎えているのも事実、今だからこそすべてにおいて前を向いて進めていきたい、そんな思いでいっぱいです。 そしてそして、長い文章に付き合っていただきありがとうございました。 今後は、なるべく、なるべく！色々なことを小出しにできるように努めます。 その中にはイラストもあるし、物語もあるし、音楽もあると思います。 自分でできることはやれる範囲で最大限で作っていきたい、今はそんな思いです。 今後ともサイソウクウカン/ひるまあおいをよろしくお願いいたします。
