Ford overestimated his brother's social skills and charisma, thinking that this alone would allow Stan to survive on his own out there. Also, Stan screamed that he didn't need Ford or anyone when he was driving away from home and Ford probably believed that Stan was cutting him from his life by saying that. And the fact that, from Ford's perspective, Stan never tried to contact him again (we know that this is not true but Ford don't) just made this seem true.
Also, if someone didn't desevered Stan was Filbrick. Stan spent over ten years homeless, in poverty, going in and out of prison and getting into trouble with bad groups of people because of Filbrick's decision of kicking him out of home. Stan could have easily died or been seriously hurt in that span of time, under those conditions and that would be Filbrick's fault not Ford's fault.
Yes, tbh. On both accounts.
Ford probably did think Stan'd be fine because of his social skills and charisma. And with caller ID not being a thing, Ford would have no idea Stan did call him during that time, but hung up without saying anything.
And yes, Ford is not the villain here. Filbrick is.

“But think of the resale value!”
Listen, I am not paying a ridiculous mortgage amount every month just to treat my home like a fucking rental.
If I wake up one day and decide I want a giant hand-painted LOTR map on my bedroom wall, not even god himself could stop me from doing it.

I feel like I need more content of TF One Megatron being unequivocally the youngest member of the Decepticons
Sure yes, in the angst/serious department because I eat that stuff up, but in this instance I mean more like in the funny department. Like, he’s casually making everyone else feel old and barely trying
Like talking about how a holofilm they remember going out to see was made before he was born, or he thinks they’re talking about a remake they didn’t even know existed. Or talking about video games and the High Guard not realizing how far the technology advanced, and so what they considered cutting edge mechanics is archaic to him. Or how their lingo or whatever you call it is painfully outdated and they have no clue what he’s even saying when he uses his. He’s defeating everyone here with the power of being from the youngest generation
I just think it’s really funny and I want to see more of it
Though also not just him making everyone else feel old, but also him just doing young person things in general. He’s <50 years old, he should be allowed to act like it

Hi, i might just be horribly uneducated, but is there a reason you censor w*ndigos?
So while there are differing opinions, and I would suggest you seek out indigenous voices who actually belong to the culture, the term that in pop culture has come to refer to various man eating forest monsters originates in native American (specifically Algonquin) folklore, and what I was taught when I was younger is that saying the word out loud (or in text) is kind of like saying a curse— it’s disrespectful (there’s more cultural context but like I said, not an expert) hence why the censor. Furthermore, making a random deer skulled skinny forest monster and labeling it with the term is blatant cultural appropriation. It does seem like more recent discussions lean more on the idea that you can say it and use the creature even if you’re not native as long as you keep it within its original folkloric context (ie. Not just making it a deer monster or a demon) but that being said, I’m gonna stick to just avoiding the word. I enjoy a good deer monster. I don’t need to steal a very specific word with a very specific cultural context from an already marginalized group and bastardize it for my deer monster needs. To quote a friend of mine “just call it something else”
Slight tangent for more additional context, I mentioned that particular YouTuber as someone who has, regardless of if you can use the word in stories with the appropriate cultural context, ignored native people trying to educate him about the term, and has profited off selling merchandise with the term and with bastardized depictions of the creature. I don’t care if he’s the only guy who’s done a good long deep dive into mystery flesh pit national park, I’m not watching his videos.
