MERCS AT THEIR BEST!

scout: a truly sweet, well meaning guy with a streak of backing up his shit talking. scout always comes off as cocky, it’s about whether he can prove that he deserves the bragging rights. and when he can, it is difficult to not see scout in a different light. he is capable, he is crafty, he’s resourceful, and social, and depending on the group a vital member of maintaining peace in any working unit. the same way he can be the mediator is the same way he can be an instigator. scout does not know what a bad plan is. all he knows is detours and side quests. and god, is he the funniest guy you’ll ever meet.

soldier: nobody could say that this man is not one of the most committed, steadfast, vitriolically loyal men you’ll ever meet in your life. and he’s stupid. that is like a blank canvas. if you confuse him enough but make your idea sound good enough to try, he’s there. hell, if you’re honest enough to tell him you have the worst idea known to man he’s alert and listening. its hard to use the word accepting, but he certainly is more open to hearing people out than it seems! you just have to stay away from buzzwords. it is also very easy to enforce boundaries with him, because he is thick skinned. so you can be mean to him if you want to, he’ll still listen! he might even like it!

pyro: pyro is a heart stealer. they’re just so nice. they are genuinely the nicest mercenary on the team. they are giving, and happy to share. and that’s everything. they are willing to give their time, money, attention, and support to anyone who may beckon for them. they’re truly just so kind, and supportive, and so, so loving. and they’ll sneak up on you! you don’t realize how badly you want them around until their attention is called elsewhere.

demo: tavish is truly a light everywhere he goes. he is explosive, he is vibrant, he is a hearty hunk of pot roast with an extra helping of mash potatoes. and not the shitty instant mash either, the kind that has an entire cow’s worth of butter and the dead sea’s salt put into it that then has been beaten to a bloody pulp, but the potatoes are so tender that the small pieces left just melt in your mouth. this man is filling, and warm, and comforting. he may not be able to be everything, but what he is is so far past a treat. and he is hard to hate, on any given day.

heavy: heavy is wonderful because he doesn’t realize how wonderful he truly is. he’s too busy taking care of himself, and his family, and his team, that he doesn’t have time to pat himself on the back. it makes him a man you almost feel bad depending on; and it makes him feel bad to have cheerleaders. he sees what he does as him taking care of the responsibilities he has as a man— to his family and his team. and through his dedication, he’s quite the comic. and he doesn’t realize how funny he truly is. he just knows he makes himself laugh. which makes him look so handsome. even catching him snickering to himself. he’s so handsome when he’s in a good mood… and if he likes you, his generally easygoing manner is lovely to include on a bad plan.

engineer: ugh, he’s so charming it’s annoying. but it’s only annoying when he’s not being charming towards you. dell can make anyone jealous with the intensity of his attention. his ability to make people feel like the only one in the world is cherished and vied for. and he’s so damn smart. there really is no outsmarting him, outwitting him, outpacing him, he has most everyone beat by a mile. stupidly intelligent, well humored, and a master of the southern charm and hospitality, engineer has never made an enemy in his life unless he wanted it.

medic: a wonderfully sharp man! quick witted, mentally flexible, and a lovely sight to see! personable, and warm, and intoxicating; humorous! he’s a wonderful man to have for backup— there is no such thing as a stupid question or a bad plan. he will be there for it! always down for a good time, even better suited for a bad time, the doctor never skips a beat. there is no such thing as impeding on him, a CAT steamroller would crumble to dust at his sideways glance. nobody could ever affect him in such a manner that he would ever minimize himself. collected, confident, and content with his life’s achievements; good and bad. and quite the social butterfly! the man could hold a conversation with a brick if it didn’t go anywhere.

sniper: what a gem of a man. dependable, reliable, and confident in his own quiet way; witnessing sniper in action is like witnessing an apex predator. he’s perceptive, he’s calculating, and with all of it he is a wild beast who graces humanity with his gifts. it’s lovely to share a moment of silence with him, he just exudes a relaxed energy. and he’s humble. he won’t claim he knows everything, but what he does know is irrefutable. another man who knows who he is, what he’s here for, and how he’s supposed to get there. sniper doesn’t question himself or his methods. they are tried and true. and he’s the best there is at them. and he doesn’t have to tell you that. just watch!

spy: this is a man who can do. it. all. he can be everything and is a little something to everyone. obscenely flexible, and adept in any social circle; the man’s saving grace is his ability to blend in and stand out in the same manners as one would cook an egg. nobody realizes how much this man does because he makes it look easy. and if you ask him, it is easy. he could finish this war alone, if he were allowed. it almost makes him feel like they keep him running so he can’t. efficient, professional, and quite handsome! spy is genuinely a man at his best in his most candid moments, where he won’t immediately notice your stare of awe. and when he doesn’t want to revel in it, he brushes compliments off so quickly that you could even argue he’s humble. he’s not just good, he’s phenomenal. it just happens to be his job.
