i watched the new helluva boss episode and absolutely LOVE cristina vee’s song ‘over you’ that played at the end. so- i was high last night and was thinking of scenarios. slowly remembering one of em.

sloan and y/n are exs. sloan has to travel a lot because of work, and just in general. they refuse to stay in one place. y/n doesn’t want that. they’re used to their partners settling down. thats all they wanted with sloan but it could never work out. sloan couldnt give up the thrill of adventure, and y/n couldnt give the understanding of being alone for weeks at a time waiting for them.

one day sloan leave behind a letter, thats all. not a proper goodbye, not a hug nor kiss (TOTES not how id think they would be like- just work with angst-) y/n is furious. but unable to contact them at all. digging into research, they finds out the wayfinders moved back across the world. giving up in frustration, they break. wanting nothing more than sloan.

months go by. no contact, or anything. thats when sloan just pops up again. same town. different aspect. when they see each other, it isnt lovey nor dovey. y/n just stares at them, honestly trying to figure out if its still anger haunting them. sloan just stares in disbelief, even though they knew the chances were high.

practically seething in anger, y/n pushes them away. they worked too hard to remove every sight of what they did together. sloan could never understand why it was so hard for them, but deep down, they did. they understood it to a tea. but they never thought it hurt their s/o so much. (if u could call them that anymore)

“Sometimes it still hurts, sometimes I’m just full of shit.” you’d say. “Maybe I’m not over it. I’m over you.”
