So I completed Whumpay but I completely stopped posting my stuff cuz motivation went down the drain. So we’re back! Here’s my fun lil Tmnt one shot for the prompt “Don’t make me choose”

Leo is forced to make a choice he doesn’t want too, and let’s just say it doesn’t end well..

Tw: Blood, swearing (it’s always Raph), strangulation, held captive

Leonardo woke up with a splitting headache, a sharp pain throbbing behind his forehead. He cracked his eyes open, trying to ground himself.

Where was he?

He tried to move his hands but found out that he couldn’t, realizing that they were tied behind his back. Lovely. He frowned then, flexing his hands into fists, glancing down at himself. He looked unharmed, thankfully, and he was sitting in a metal chair. Presumably, his feet were cuffed to the legs.

How did he get here? The last thing he remembered was being on patrol with his brothers..

Leo’s eyes widened as he looked around, his breath catching in his throat when he saw them. They were all tied to the wall on his right side, wrists cuffed above their heads, the metal chains attached a few feet above them. Donnie was unconscious—or he was pretending to be. Raph looked awake but.. not quite there mentally. Mikey was staring at the floor, still as a board but clearly conscious. Leonardo sucked in a breath at the state of their bodies, how did they get so bad?

They had numerous bruises and scrapes on their skin, some of them were bigger than his own hands. Donnie had a nasty bruise forming on the side of his thigh, Raphael had a (seemingly shallow) gash on his upper arm, and Mikey’s nose was bleeding.

“Leo..?” Mikey’s voice was quiet, soft. “What’s.. what’s going on?”

His eyes snapped to meet the younger turtles, their gazes locking onto each other. Mikey looked scared and he seemed smaller somehow, more withdrawn. Leo was confused, still reeling from waking up confined to a chair.

He looked around, trying to find anything that could give him an answer. Where they were, why he was tied down in the middle of the room, who could’ve possibly taken them. They were clearly in a cell of sorts, maybe a dungeon. It looked vaguely familiar but he couldn’t place his finger on why..

“I..” he paused. He didn’t know. He didn’t know where they were. He didn’t even know how they got here for crying out loud. All he remembered was walking along the rooftops, then black. He woke up here.

His blood ran cold, if they were where he thought they were..

Almost as soon as he thought it, the metal door across the room creaked open. Through it came Rahzar and Fishface, both of them looking far too smug for Leo’s liking.

Just fucking great.

Rahzar branched off to walk along the perimeter, his nails scratching the wall as he went. He walked until he was out of his sight and Leo turned his gaze to the other mutant. Fishface crossed his arms, one metal foot tapping impatiently while he gave the turtle a sickening grin. Leo pulled at his restraints, his eyes bright with anger. He was going to—

The sound of his brother choking cut him off and he whipped his head around, his eyes searching for the cause. Rahzar was hovering over Donnie, one of his arms raised by his side. His hand was clearly clutching onto something, Leo didn’t need to be a genius to figure out what. He couldn’t see his brother from his seat, but he wasn’t even sure if he wanted too.

“Stop it!” Mikey shouted, fighting against his own restraints. He looked scared, pissed off, his lips pressed together as he tried again, yanking on the metal cuffs with more force than Leo expected. “Let him go!”

Raph was silent next to Mikey, and Leo found that odd. Clearly they had a less.. pleasant experience compared to him if the bruises were anything to go by. Still, seeing his hot headed brother so silent while the youngest was overtaken by enough anger that he was visibly shaking? That was different. It was new.

The choking went on for a few more seconds before Rahzar stepped back, chuckling under his breath. “Someone had to wake you up…”

Leo watched Donnie’s figure slump to the floor (or as far to the floor as he could get) coughing harshly. There were pinpricks of blood on his neck and his face was almost as purple as his mask. He gasped, his body convulsing with every hack he let out. It sounded painful—it looked even worse.

Leo’s blood boiled, but he kept it contained. Anger wouldn’t help him here. He needed to stay calm—they could find a way out of this, they always did.

Fishface cleared his throat, dropping a curled fist from in front of his mouth. Leo’s eyes narrowed at the mutant, once again trying to get out of his own restraints.

“I’m sure you’re all wondering why you’re here..” he started off, drumming his webbed fingers along his arm. “Of course I’m not going to tell you, but I’m sure you were wondering.”

Rahzar snickered and the stupid fish smirked again. Leo was getting real sick of that smirk.

“Leonardo,” Fishface drew out his name, the smirk morphing into a sadistic grin. “You have a decision to make.”

His eyes narrowed. “And what decision what that be?” He snapped, trying to force his tone into neutrality.

“Pick one of your brothers.” He stated simply.

Leo’s face paled, pick—? Why? What were they going to do?

“And why would I do that?” He said snarkily, raising a non existent eyebrow. The fish seemed to light up at the question, like he had been praying that Leo would ask.

“If you don’t choose, we do.”

Rahzar laughed again from where he was standing next to the wall. “Trust me, you don’t want us to choose.”

“What’s going to happen to them?” Leo demanded, looking back over to his brothers. Donnie was still slumped, sucking in quiet breaths as he recovered from the sudden strangulation. Raph was glaring daggers at the two mutants, his hands balled into fists within the cuffs. Mikey was biting his lip and his eyes were going everywhere, scanning everything. How could Leo choose?

“Ah, now that takes the fun out of the game, doesn’t it?” Fishface drawled, slowly walking towards Leo.

“And what fucking game would that be?” Raph snapped, Leo felt a spark of hope at the outburst. That was the Raph he knew. “You sick fucks, what the fuck is your problem?”

Fishface turned to glare at Raphael. “You better shut your mouth before we shut it for you.”

Leo watched the flicker of fear in Raphs eyes come alive before it was extinguished, hardening as a low snarl fell from his mouth. The mutant seemed happy enough with that response and continued to walk up to Leo. He kept his mouth shut as the fish circled his chair, running a finger over the back. “Pick a brother, turtle. And choose wisely. You can’t take back your decision.”

Leo’s hands spasmed as he pressed his lips together. He couldn’t choose. Why were they making him do this?

“Why me?” He asked, turning to look at Xever after he finished loop the chair.

”Isn’t it obvious?” The fish hummed softly. “You’re their leader.”

Leo’s anger faltered for a second, if he made a decision.. whoever he chose would never forget it. “What if I say no? What if I say myself?”

Rahzar stepped forward with a grin, cracking his knuckles loudly. “Every time you say no, one of them ends up hurt.”

Fishface gave Leo a small shrug, leaning into his face. “It’s simple. Pick. A. Brother.”

Leo leaned his head back, fighting the urge to spit in his face. “I pick me.” He said harshly.

The next thing he knew, his head was flying to the side and a burst of pain exploded in his jaw. He opened his mouth, stretching it as the sensation dulled to a soft ache, looking back at Fishface. He was eerily calm, his left fist balled by his side. “Choose. Properly this time.”

Raph apparently didn’t give a shit about being quiet anymore and piped up from where he was. “Pick me, Leo. I can handle whatever they throw at me.”

He could see the hot heads smile, the feral look in his eyes. Leo almost said yes, but something stopped him. What if this was some reverse psychology? What if they wanted him to think the brother would be hurt, when really he’d be the one spared? What if this was some psychological warfare, trying to figure out who he cared about the least? (That was an impossible question, he loved all his brothers for different reasons. He’d never put one over the other in a situation like this. Not willingly.)

“Let me do it,” Mikey piped up, his voice was steadier than Leo felt. He turned to look at the youngest, and Mikey gave him a confident smile. “I’ve got this, bro.”

Across the room, Rahzar laughed. (Leo was really getting tired of this—having to look between the two mutants and his brothers. Couldn’t they just stand together so he could stop giving himself whiplash?)

“Look at that, even the small one is volunteering.” Mikey protested, letting out a loud—“Hey!”—but Rahzar kept going. “But the taller one… well, he hasn’t said a word, has he?” The look on Rahzars face made Leo nervous, and he almost didn’t want to look at Donnie. What if his vocal cords were crushed and this was Rahzars fucked up way of telling him?

He looked anyway (obviously) and scanned Donnie’s body just to be sure there was no life threatening or permanent injuries.

“Leave him alone,” Raph growled, leaning forward as far as the cuffs would allow. “You do anything to him and I’ll rip out your neck with my bare teeth.”

Leo wouldn’t say it to his face, but he was feeling very proud of his brother right now. Unfortunately, they were still the hostages, so saying things like that never went well.

The dog had walked over in an instant, punching Raph across the face before he followed up with a jab to the stomach. Raph let out a gasp, wincing briefly, unable to protect himself. Next to him Mikey was yelling in protest, once again trying desperately to get out of the restraints. Rahzar growled as he struck again, punching him four more times for good measure.

“You think you’re in any place to make demands?” He barked out, stepping back from Raph’s wheezing form. “We’re in charge here, now stop playing coy—“ he turned to Leo as he said this, stepping over to grab Donnie’s neck once again. Donnie’s eyes snapped open with terror and Leo wanted to scream. “—and chose a brother.”

Leo’s mouth dropped open, stuttering for a second before Rahzars fist tightened. He could hear Mikey’s yelling, Raph’s angry wheezing, but all he could think was don’t make me choose. Please don’t make me choose.

The longer he sat there the more Donnie lost oxygen, but he couldn’t pick. Rahzar had specifically moved so that Leo could see his brother and he almost didn’t want too. Donnie’s eyes were watering and his fingers were holding onto the metal cuffs like that would save him from death. He was throwing out weak kicks, trying to fight off the mutant as best as he could while his neck was rapidly being crushed. He was fighting for his life. Leo could end this right now if he just made a decision, he just needed to choose one.

He spoke without thinking.

“Raph!” He screamed, and immediately he felt sick to his stomach. “I pick Raph.”

The second it left his mouth Rahzar let go, smiling brightly. “See?” He locked eyes with the blue banded turtle, “that wasn’t so hard, was it?”

Leo sat there in shock from his own words. He looked at Raph—expecting anger or betrayal, but he didn’t see any of that. If anything he looked resigned, like he knew this would happen. Somehow that hurt worse than if he hadn’t known. He tried to say anything, ‘I’m sorry’ or maybe ‘I panicked’, but he didn’t get the chance. Rahzar walked over, stopping in front of the turtle of choice. Leo waited with bated breath, was he going to hurt him, let him go—

He wasn’t expecting him to walk away, and he definitely wasn’t expecting him to reach up and release Mikey’s chains. The second he realized what was happening he started to thrash, his world felt like it was crumbling around him and he couldn’t do anything to stop it.

“What’re you doing—“ he near shrieked, “I picked Raph! You said to choose, and I choose him! Why—“

The sound of Fishface laughing filled the room like a poisonous gas, silencing him in seconds. The fish shook his head, arms crossed over his chest. “Did you really think we’d let you pick?” He snorted, looking at Rahzar with a dark gleam in his eye. “We knew from the start that we were taking the orange one.”

With that, Rahzar pulled Mikey off the wall, dragging him without a care in the world. Mikey’s eyes were wide and Leo was screaming, vaguely he could hear Raph swearing, hurling insults left and right. It was a cacophony of sounds, yet Donnie was completely silent.

Leo’s eyes were wide with desperation, locking onto Mikey’s one last time. “It’ll be okay Mike,” he said softly, trying not to choke on his words. He wasn’t sure whether or not he was reassuring his brother or himself. Probably both. Mikey nodded solemnly, a determined look in his eyes. Leo opened his mouth to say something else, probably ‘I love you’—

The door shut with a loud bang, cutting him off before he even had a chance to speak.

90s Mikey vs bayverse Donnie

I feel like they would be mutually scared of each other.

Donnie. All I can think of is crazy stunts. He is ready at all times to chase that adrenaline. However, this is not a fight that involves great height or incredible speed.

He had a peashooter, so aim is good. He was a key part in the car chase in the second movie. His main thing is gathering info, either by tech or by observation. So, perceptive. Don't see a lot of kicking action. MAJOR points deduction for stealth. However he is real good at bouncing ping pong balls while balanced atop precariously stacked and actively moving items. Steady stance, great balance. Bayverse turtles are also very resilient, real tough skin and seems to be very accelerated healing. Best hand to hand bit Donnie has is using his bo to flip that car.

Strengths: lot of nerve, precise, long distance, physical strength, balance

Weaknesses: stealth, indecisive at times

Mikey gets sneakiness points for sharing doughnuts with Tokka and Rahzar. Also creative and flexible, love watching him and Donnie in the fight in April's shop in the first movie. keep away with the mutagen canister is also good Mikey moments. Oh aim for him as well, and spiritual points for the campfire scene (spiritual points is a thing I say now I guess)

Strengths: spirituality, quick thinking, long distance, stamina, stealth

Weaknesses: focus, determination (him and Donnie doing rock paper scissors to decide who has to fight Shredder next scsgsha)

This could potentially be a fight with a lot of throwing stuff at each other. Neat

Saki approached you with gigantic wolf(who look a LOT like Rahzar), from afar he look malicious but when got close he rather calm. He offer you for a scouting and hunting together. What would you do?

(Villain Time)

Seconds before Saki and Rahzar appeared, a man stepped out of a path of trees. Honestly it would be hard to believe that this could be any character from TMNT but surprisingly it is, specifically 03 Bishop, but he looked way different.

He didn’t look like some special agent or anything compared to the show, nothing like that. He wore a gray wool coat with black pants and office shoes and still had those shades on, instead of that slick back men in black haircut it was more scuffed and looked a mix of black and white. In one of his hands he was holding a hunting rifle and the other was a flip phone for some reason, when he saw he saw the crime lord come up to his with his wolf the hitman put the phone away into his coat…

“Hunting you say?”

Hell even his voice sounds different, he’s no longer sounding like a chain smoker and just, regular, honestly good for the whole looks can be deceptive vibe from him…

“Well, I did see a herd of deer from where I was walking so we could start there if you’d want.”

He honestly doesn’t seem scared from the giant wolf at all considering he’s pretty much a regular mf(despite being a hitman in his season’s au).

“Guess we’ll start heading back there huh.”

Raph being alone from his brothers would obviously be hard for him. He loves them a lot and with his protective behaviour he’s constantly worrying about them.

I think that Raph entered a depression when he moved with Saki to Japan, but he kept it well hidden from Shredder and Tigerclaw because he didn’t want them to think that he didn’t appreciate the efforts they had made for him.

Raphael wanted to contact his family, but he was scared of what they would say to him or if they would even answer. So, he didn’t. Saki obviously spent a lot of time with him when he wasn’t working, and Takeshi checked in on him constantly.

Raph was never on his own in his entire life - outside of the odd night he would spend away from everyone to cool off - so obviously the sudden change was hard. The robots Saki had made for him did help, but it didn’t feel the same to Raph.

Raphael was trained by Takeshi mostly, and once Raph had healed he had begun to adopt Saki’s regimen and train with him and Takeshi.

It took the Footclan mutants a good while to get used to Raph’s presence. Rahzar and Xever were definitely the least accepting. Rahzar would threaten him subtly when Saki or Takeshi weren’t around, and Xever would try to foil the little work Raph had been set when Raph told Saki he wanted to contribute. He had ruined several of Raph’s pieces when he was in the blacksmithing forge but managed to make it look like an accident. He only stopped when Tigerclaw threatened to turn him into sushi.

Rocksteady would be neutral in the ideal. He hardly cares about Raph but he would obviously be keeping a close eye on him. He would mostly pretend that Raph wasn’t there unless he absolutely had to interact with him, and even then he was quite cold to him.

Under Tigerclaw, Bebop would be the closest to Raph. It was nice to have another “street kid” in the clan. They both love cage fighting and break dancing and spray-painting so they naturally became close. They would go out and spraypaint buildings that were associated with clans opposing the Foot, drink cheap beer and just laugh about the “street life”. I like to think their friendship is similar to Raph and Casey’s friendship, but obviously more strained because deep down they’re ready to defend themselves in case one turns on the other.

Shredder would be wary when Raph and his clan members interacted. He knew what his clan would be cabable off - he trained them for gods sake - and would naturally keep Raph as close as he could whenever he could.

But despite everything Raph loves his family and he wants to be close with them again. He knows deep down that he has to choose between Shredder and his family, but he keeps tricking himself into thinking that he can make it work, that he could live in both worlds and still have a normal life. But The Ancient One has made it clear that he couldn’t. Everybody knows that this can’t last. Raph would have to choose. Or he may die. Nobody wants to admit that this is a possibility, Both sides want Raph to live but they know that they are killing him in the first place.

The Last Ronin set in the Main IDW Comics

Now I'm a big fan of the TMNT IDW Comics,all the Stories and Characters created by Kevin Eastman,Tom Waltz and @mooncalfe-art (love all your characters) and I love Kevin and Peter Laird's TMNT Story Last Ronin,so as a Fan who thinks TOO MUCH I created a Fan story of the Last Ronin in the Main IDW Comics but with a few changes which I'll tell you all now

- I have Raph and Alopex married in this universe while raising a Mutated Pepperoni ,Mushroom, Zanna and Zink, and she does accompany Raph while they take down the Foot(with Mushroom asking the Mutanimals to be Back Up)

- I gave Hiroto a Twin Sister named Suki who is just as Evil as he is, though she is killed off Early by Alopex after she kills Raph(who again is her husband)

- I switched Leo and Donnie's Deaths with Donnie fighting with Casey,Hobs,Ray and Others after The EPF(teaming with Hiroto to end the Turtles) attacks with Stolen Alien tech using the self destruction devices killing Donnie and Hobs, with Ray,Bebop,Rocksteady Casey and a few others surviving this (though Casey is the one with prosthetics, and Leo accompanies Karai to Japan to talk peace with Hiroto only to be betrayed and led into ambush until Natsu and Koya(whose Leo's wife in this story) brings reinforcements causing Hiroto to retreat(and because he's scared of Koya)

- Baxter Stockman works for Hiroto but is secretly a Resistance Ally given them information solely for the purpose of making sure Hiroto loses

- Saki dies after the first ambush taking Splinters place stating his last words meaning he regrets the horrendous things he did but finds solace in everyone including Alopex forgiving him hoping he'll reunite with his Brother in the After Life

- Mikey is still the last Ronin though Originally I was gonna use Lita but I wanted to honor Kevin and Peter picking Mikey as the last Turtle standing

- April becomes pregnant with Casey-Marie but not because she and Casey but because of a one night stand the 2 had and Casey being a decent Guy stays to take care of their baby even after the attack by the EPF(note Agent Ravenwood resigned after hearing about the attack and sided with the Turtles) and he spent as much time as he could with her teaching her hockey and how to fight along with telling Stories of the Turtles, and in this universe Casey-Marie is only 14 not an adult

- Jennika's Death(okay this is a hard one to say) starts after the EPF Attack where with the help of Big Stronger Mutants like Tokka and Rahzar making sure the rubble doesn't crush them, sees the lifeless body of Donnie(same as Mona Lisa who is his Girlfriend at that time in utter shock) tries to find Mikey only to find his broken nunchucks, only to to have Koya and Natsu return telling her that Karai and Leo are Dead,setting her into a hellbound rage to which she starts leading a Full On Assault on Hiroto's building with as many Allies as she can muster ,to her facing Hiroto himself as her rage grew bigger as he relays the details of Karai and Leo's death mocking him, and as it seemed she was winning she let's him live knowing she's not a monster like him only for the coward to Stab her in the same spot Karai stabbed her as he pushes her out the tallest window shocking her Wife Sheena,daughter Lita,Allies Casey,April, Mutanimals, Sister Alopex and her nieces the Weasels and everyone prompting a retreat losing another Turtle

- During the Assault the Heroes lose Angel, Natsu,Bludgeon and Sally Pride as they're overrun by robot Foot Soldiers

- Pigeon Pete though a minor player spends his time muttering which everyone thinks he's just losing it but in actuality he's saying the names of every Turtle,Mutant,Human,Ally ... Family he's lost as to honor them by chiseling their names on a huge stone wall

- Krisa and Zodi also are in this story with Krisa being Pete's Girlfriend (and yes she knows about the Stonewall honoring the fallen) and Zodi who in this universe had an odd on again off again relationship with Hobs and only stayed because She both wanted to avenge Hobs and thought joining the resistance was more survivable than with Hiroto who wanted to execute all those loyal to Karai

- Lita and Mushroom are dating also in this universe and accompanied by Zanna,Zink and Casey-Marie are the first to find Mikey before he commits Sepuku

- In the Final battle it's not just Mikey but Koya,Alopex,Sheena and Even Mona helping take down Hiroto with each one saying "This is for my ...(Insert Turtle Name here)" With Mona sending out a small EMP to disrupt Hiroto's suit making it easy for the team to cut him while the Others handle Hiroto's forces to which Hiroto plans to blow himself up which causes severe damage to both Mikey and Koya, but both go in peace(Koya even stated that with her Husband Leo and Brother Bludgeon gone this was her plan so she could die with Honor and see her family again)

- The Ending involves Lita and Mushroom,Zanna and Zink training Casey-Marie as Casey,April, Pepperoni,Alopex and Mona watch Pete as the new Mayor of New York revealing his plaque with the names of the Fallen, cutting back to the Group stating with Hiroto gone more would be conquerors will fill his spot while they enter another room showing 4 baby Mutant Turtles Moja,Odyn,Uno and Yi playing with the two saying "Here's hoping they grow up fast" "Damn straight we got a lot to teach them" indicating Lita and Mushroom become the parents of the Next Gen Turtles

Pairing: Romantic

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Stalking, Manipulation, Threats, Kidnapping, Obsession, OOC Rahzar (?)

To Rahzar, you were a high value target. One he had been hunting down for awhile now. He was fully capable of capturing you but for now he was drawing this out.

Due to the fact you were so close with the turtles Rahzar knew he could use you for information, or at the very least a bargaining chip. It would certainly make his master proud. Although... he watched you longer just to make sure you actually had information.

Atleast that's what the mutated beast kept telling himself and others. It would be a pain to take in the wrong person, right? Maybe he had other reasons of putting off your interrogation....

Such as, personal interest. Luckily he was silent enough you never spotted him. Yet he followed your scent whenever he picked up on it.

He'd perch himself on rooftops, watching you carefully. He picked up every little word and thing you did thanks to his enhanced senses. Something about watching you while you were so blissfully unaware made him grin.

He'd never let the others know. He disguised this little hobby of his as spy work. When in reality he was just so absorbed in your daily life.

It was a strange obsession that you'd think got in the way of his work. However, instead, it actually lined up pretty well. At some point he'd have to take you in for information.

Which is also a nice excuse to take you away from those turtles.

Once the time came he made sure he was gentle when capturing you. You had basic self defense skills but it was nothing compared to him. He had also been studying you for the past few weeks, you had no chance.

By the time you came to you're tied up in an abandoned warehouse with nowhere to go. In front of you stands a tall skeletal mutant, eyes never leaving your figure. For now, he was alone.

But he could always call in back up.

"Start talking." He growls, making his way towards you. "What do you know about the turtles?"

You look at him with fearful eyes but say nothing. Rahzar applauds your loyalty, yet he feels it's misplaced. Deep down he's quite envious you trust those turtles so much.

It's not like you met before this anyway, though.

"What do you mean!? I know nothing!"

"Do you really think you can lie your way out of this?

Rahzar leans closer, growling at you. He smelt and looked like death. You wished the turtles would come and help soon....

"I've been keeping my eye on you for a long time now. I know you have the information I seek. I need anything you know."

"Will I be let go if I tell you?"

Rahzar only stares at you, orange eyes looking you over. Would he let you go after all the stalking? Would he just let you out of here without a second thought?

"...No."

"What?"

"I don't need you for just that information. I have other uses for you."

By now you couldn't tell if you felt fear, anger, or sadness. Anguish was a better word for it. You knew Rahzar was strong through the turtles, if you angered him there was no telling you'd live.

"I'm keeping you here. Once you turn against those turtles you'll be put to good use. Shredder will be quite pleased to have a spy."

"Shredder!?"

Rahzar watches you panic in your restraints. Tears threaten to spill from your eyes at the thought of meeting his master. Poor thing... scared like a mouse in front of a cat.

"Things will go smoothly if you just listen to me. I'll do my best not to hurt you."

Hi @geluatekurama, Thank you for asking. I can see that happening.

Maybe Somehow, the egyxos characters end up the tmnt universe (you didn't which version of the tmnt, so I'm just going the 2012 version) looking for the dark (anubi, thouth, hatanor, and exaton) army who came to New York for some reason only for the turtles to find them first. I can imagine that the golden army (kefer, horus, Apis, hyksos, and leo) help the turtles, but the dark army somehow the dark army get away.

Leonardo gets confused about how there are new mutants and strangers, and the fact one of them is 12 years old. Then Raphael says, " What kind of mutants are those guys." (He ask this about horus, apis, anubi, thouth, hatanor) the Golden Army (Except leo) looks at each other confused before apis asks, "What are mutants" Than kefer explains the situation lending to turtle working golden army. While working together, I can see Apis and Raph constantly getting at each other Throats. Donnie and hyksos are becoming very good friends while looking for the dark army. Mikey and horus are getting along great. Mikey thinks that horus is awesome, Mikey especially likes his wings. Mikey then thinks if he should wear his turflytle outfit. While Leo, kefer, and Leonardo are trying to figure out a plan. When the golden army meets master Splinter, I like to think splinter and kefer would get along because they both are at war with their brothers (splinter and Shredder are technically adopted brothers kefer and exaton are at war for different reasons. I can also see leo and Leonardo getting a little confused when it comes to some calling them by name. They don't know which leo talking to.

While all this is happening, the dark army is working with the foot clan. Exaton and Shredder are neutral terms. They both decide to work together only so that Exaton can finally get the bracelet of ra, and the Shredder can finally destroy the turtles. Tigerclaw and anubi would not get along even though they pretty much have personality. When they started to argue, tigerclaw pointed his gun at anubi. Anubi only Laughs. "I am not afraid of you or your pruitive weapon, mutant." Which makes tigerclaw more angry, says he should be scared, because he had destroyed warrior like him. Only for anubi to laugh again, saying that tigerclaw had never seen a warrior like him before anubi shape-shifted in tigerclaw. while tigerclaw, as well as everyone in room, stairs in disbelief. While hatanor is messing with bebop and Rocksteady while thouth picking a fight with rahzar and fishface. the turtles find out the foot and the dark army are working together. The turtles and golden army go off to fight against the foot clan and dark army just to fall into a trap. The turtles and the golden army are surrounded by the foot clan and dark army. a fight break out. Apis saves Raph from an incoming attack from Rocksteady, and then Raph saves apis from an incoming attack from Bebop. Anubi shape-shifted in karai to Trick Leonardo, but then leo says that not who you think it is. Leonardo turns back to anubi back in his normal form and then starts to attack Leonardo. Before leo could help him, tigerclaw pinned leo to the wall by his throat but got saved by kefer. Mikey was surrounded by hatanor and thouth before horus attack hatanor while Mikey started to fight thouth. While the fight, Donnie and Hyksos found out how to open the portal that brought the dark army to New York. While telling the other about the portal and making a plan, the Shredder and Exaton attacks Hyksos distract them while Donnie started the portal once the portal was open. Donnie helped Hyksos in the fight. Hyksos knocked out the Shredder with a makeshift weapon. Exaton saw that he was greatly outnumbered. He shoots the light and retreated into the portal along with his dark army lead back egyxos. Knowing that the dark Army was back in egyxos, they knew it time to go back. The golden army thanked the turtles for assisting them on their mission. The turtles replied that it was an honor to fight beside them.

"If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me" goes hard when you consider he tried to control his own fate. Shredder is already threatening him with death, he shows in the episodes that he is afraid of death, he admits in the comic that he doesn't want to die.

If they had given up, who knows what Shredder would have done so it really was just one last desperate attempt of taking the turtles down with him - doesn't matter if he would've died, at least it was his own decision rather than that of someone else and it would have been quick.

Tales of Dani - Chapter 2 - The Invasion (Part 2)

Having to abandon one of his blades, Leonardo continues to fight the Foot Bots at a construction site. He sliced, kicked, and stabbed all that stood in his way. As he watched the last one fall, Leonardo failed to notice that one of the bots he took down earlier grabbed his foot and tossed him down. He screams, falling into the icy water below.

A few blocks away, Dani was dodging every obstacle in her way while trying to figure out where Leonardo and the robot ninjas were. How could she lose them so fast? She then heard a scream. It sounded like it was coming from the construction site. She turn around and ran, hoping she wasn’t too late. ‘Hang on, Leonardo. I’m coming.’

Leonardo pulls himself back out and gets up into a fighting stance, panting. Shredder stares down at him, showing no emotion. The three mutants look to him in anticipation “Now you may finish him,” he says.

Tiger Claw, Rahzar, and Fishface jump down to the turtle, attacking him. They landed so many hits on him in his exhausted state. Something in Leonardo then snapped. With a battle cry, he grabs Fishface by his water tube and tosses him to the side. He attacks Rahzar from behind and kicks him. He lets out another cry and faces Tiger Claw, rolling along the ground to kick him low.

Leonardo gets up from the ground, catching his breath. In a flash of lightning, the Shredder was right behind him. Turning a moment too late, the turtle was struck down by his gauntlet.

Tiger Claw picks him up when his T-Phone rang. He pulls it out and looks at the messages from Michelangelo. “Dude, where are you!? Dude, we’re at April’s apartment. HURRY, Chumpy!” “They wait for him in the girl’s home,” he says. “Bait them out and destroy them,” his master orders. The three mutants leave the site, taking the fallen leader with them.

Shredder walks around a corner and sees Splinter looking at one of Leonardo’s katana blades. “Where is my son?” the rat asks. The Shredder laughs. “I’ve taken him like I took your child so many years ago.” Closing his fist in anger, Splinter ran to Shredder, and the two began to fight.

(MEANWHILE)

Water pours into Kirby’s face, making him wake up and see April and Michelangelo looking at him with worried faces. “I just had the worst dream,” he says. “The Kraang were trying to invade.” Michelangelo walks to him. “Don’t worry, Mr. O’Neil,” he says. “Reality is way worse than your nightmare.” Donatello smacks him in the head for freaking him out.

“We gotta move!” Raphael says, running into the apartment with Casey. “Kraang Prime is stomping this way!” “Raph!” Michelangelo hugs his brother, relieved that he is okay. “Aw, I missed you too, little brother,” he says, patting his shell. April runs to hug Casey. “I was scared I’d lost you forever!” she tells him. “No worries, red. Your man is here,” he says with a smile, unaware that Donatello was watching. “Not to break this up, but Leo is still out there!” he reminds everybody. “What!?” Raphael asks. Michelangelo responds, “Long story, bro. Basically-”

But before he could start telling Raphael what happened, Leonardo crashes through the window, sliding to a stop on the floor. “LEO!!”

(Back at the Construction Site)

Dani ran to the construction site, hoping to find the blue masked turtle. There were robot ninjas strode everywhere. She came to a sudden halt when she saw a katana blade that was stabbed through one of the bots. She recognized it. The blade belonged to Leonardo. Looking around in circles, Dani could not find him. ‘What happened here?’ she thought. 

Suddenly, she heard more noises, voices that were unfamiliar to her. She took a closer look and saw a man in metal armor fighting a mutant rat. ‘Wait.. Is that... the great Splinter?’ Dani thought, remembering a time when Slash told her that a mutant rat raised the turtles as his sons and taught them ninjutsu. She doesn’t remember him telling her about a man in metal armor though. ‘Who is he?’ she thought.

“You grow tired! Your skills have become weak!” Shredder taunts, punching Splinter. “Yet I am stronger than ever! Fueled by anger, by rage!” He throws another punch, but Splinter blocks it and throws him to the ground. Dani watches from her hiding place, amazed at how the mutant rat fights. “Rage is a fuel that burns quickly,” he says. “Always the wise one,” Shredder responds, growling in anger. He throws three kunai blades at Splinter, which he has able to dodge. But it distracted him from a punch in the chest. Taking advantage, Shredder punched Splinter several times more and threw him against a crane. A load of pipes fell on top of the rat. Dani’s eyes widen. She pulls her blade out, ready to defend the mutant rat.

As Splinter strains to get free, Shredder reaches down and grabs him by his beard, ready to finish him with the blade of his gauntlet. “What wisdom do you have now?” Splinter glares in response. But before Shredder could bring his blade down and Dani could attack him from behind, Leatherhead breaks through a nearby wall and clamps his jaws around him.

Seeing that this was a distraction for the man in metal armor, Dani rushes to Splinter and strains as she tries to lift one of the pipes. Before the rat could ask the hooded girl who she was, she says, “Don’t worry! I’m on your side.”

The mutant alligator slams Shredder into the ground a few times and tosses him away. He turns over to see the hooded girl trying to remove the pipes that were on top of Splinter. He hurries over them. “My friend,” he asked. “Are you hurt?” But they were focused on something behind him. “LOOK OUT!” Dani shouts.

Leatherhead reacts too slow and Shredder attacks from behind. He roared and thrashed, managing to throw him off, only for him to be assaulted by Shredder’s fists. Splinter and Dani could only watch, their eyes widened in horror. Before he could recover, Shredder charges toward Leatherhead and kicks him down the same hole Leonardo fell in, splashing into the water below. “MONSTER!!!” Shredder turned and saw the girl that was wearing a cloak, glare at him.

Dani could feel nothing but anger. She didn’t know this mutant, but he didn’t to be murdered so ruthlessly. Shredder needs to pay. She closes her fist, grabs her sword, and charges toward the man in metal armor. “NO!” Splinter shouted. 

She swung her blade at him several times, but Shredder kept dodging every move she made. He raised his other gauntlet, but before he brings it down, Dani grabs Leonardo’s katana and blades met with a clang. Now wielding two swords, Dani’s eyes were filled with rage and determination. She let her anger take control. She flips backwards and and continues to fight him. However, it didn’t last long when she missed again and Shredder punched her, making her tumble to the side.

Groaning in pain, Dani tries to get back up, only to be pinned by Shredder. “I don’t fear you,” she says, glaring at him. “Then you will die braver than most,” he responds, raising his gauntlet, ready to finish her.

Not wanting the same fate to happen to her, Splinter finds new strength, freeing himself from the pipes. Shredder turns to see the rat begin to attack him once more. He pushes him away from Dani. “Splinter!” she shouts, watching the two fall into the hole.

Dani crawls to the edge, staring at the hole in shock. Lasers suddenly fired at her. Shielding her head, she turns to see that the Kraang were coming toward her direction. ‘They must’ve followed me,’ she thought.

Looking back at the hole while trying to block lasers, Dani knew she had to make a choice. Go after Shredder or get herself to safety. “Remember what he told you,” she tells herself, getting up slowly. She grabs a smoke bomb from her pocket. “Splinter is a master ninja. He’ll win this battle... I hope.” She throws her smoke bomb at one of the droids and it goes off. When the smoke finally clears, the droids see that the girl disappeared.

{{ I’ve been watching the 2012 TMNT series and the finale made me reminded of a canon divergent verse I wanted to do for Leo. ((  I also put this as a side effect to what happened when the mutagen bomb went off, instead of turning into a muscle bound, anger fueled Leo wasn’t directly hit with the bomb though it did provide him with a limited type of telepathy by left him with the inability to speak. )) It is kind of the same thing, but the fight with Shredder also severely damaged his voice box so he loses his ability to speak. 

He has a hard time recovering from it, not only still physically impaired with his knee, the lack of being able to speak leaves with with consistent thoughts of being unable to lead the team properly. It maximizes his self doubt, though he does put on a brave face for everyone. 

Leo also has trouble sleeping, as he was essentially comatose for three months and has a subtle fear that if he sleeps he will slip back into it and leave him unable to protect his brothers. There is also a reoccurring nightmare about his fight with Shredder, ,how he bested him and nearly killed him. Suffering from severe mental trauma, along with his self doubt and injuries but unable to talk or speak about them leads him into having a mental break down. 

However, when they all go into the forest, and have the vision of Master Splinter and go on their own Spiritual quests, Leo gain’s a bit of his confidence back and ends up going back to New York to find Splinter. Using simply hand signals to provide orders to his brothers, they are able to safely get Master Splinter out and Mikey, Donnie and Raphael convince their father and bring back him back to his senses. 

Leo does learn sign language and this does force his brothers to need to learn it too so they know what Leo is saying. He would carry a laptop but it’s cumbersome and impractical and writing in a notebook takes too much time. Leo, despite reaching a state of confidence still worries that he isn’t going to be a good leader to his brothers, because he can’t speak to them. They aren’t always going to be right next to him, and he is unable to use a Walkie talkie or radio to speak. 

He also still suffers from the nightmares of the time he faced Shredder and an entire army of foot soldiers, Tiger Claw, Rahzar and Fishface. and the final blow being dealt by Shredder. It was a time that he was truly scared and was fighting for his life. Fighting to survive and live, and he did but at a cost. He does also suffer from a form of PTSD where if he hears anything sounding like a Kraang droid or Foot!Bot he will freeze and lock up, unable to move as he gets trapped in his head with the fight repeating over and over in his head. Master Splinter is the only one who can get him out of it. 

I don’t have a verse title for this, but I remembered this and forgot how much I loved it. I’m gonna add it, but tomorrow because, once again it’s 3 AM and I need to sleep. Even though I’m not exactly tired. }}

You sighed as you continued waiting in the pizza parlor for your orders of large family sized pizzas for you sewer dwelling friends. And speaking of sewer dwellers, you were on the phone currently with one of your favorite turtles. “And you’re sure you want anchovies?” You asked apprehensively. “Of course I do, dudette!” Mikey cheered with glee on the other end. “Fine..but I can smell them from here and let me tell you, PU!” You shout whisper and wave a hand over your face to get rid of the rank fish smell. It smelt almost as bad as one of Mikey’s infamous burps. “But they’ll go so well with the jelly beans and soy sauce.” Mikey said excitedly. “I swear you need to get your taste buds checked.” You laugh as you hear your number being called over the speaker and you rush to the pickup area and take the lovely smelling pizzas from the man’s hands. “Thank you.” You smile and walk to the register to pay and finally leave. “All right, Mikey, I’m on my way. I better get a HUGE hug from you for being out this late.” “The HUGEST!” You could practically hear Mikey smiling on the other end and you can’t help but blush as you love receiving his hugs. “Good.” You smile. “And we have (favorite drink) waiting for you here too!” “Awesome! Thanks, you’re the best!” You grin grows as you carry on your conversation with him until you reach the right manhole. But as you’re walking you start to become a bit paranoid as random shadows from above keep reflecting off from the roof. You look up every time but nothing’s there. You find it at first funny because that’s how you originally met the turtles by accidentally spotting them on the roof, but this time you knew they were all home and there are many enemies you know that lurk in the night. “Uh, Mikey…” You bite your tongue to avoid stuttering and stop him mid-sentence about Crognard. “I hate to be an inconvenience but could you maybe meet me halfway?” “Uh, how come?” He asked, his tone almost completely calmed down and hushed like yours was. “Well, I think someone’s following me.” You admit as you cup your mouth around the speaker to continue to speak to him without anyone who was watching you to hear. “What?” Mikey almost shrieks as you move the T-phone away from you slightly at his loud remark but return it to your ear quickly. “I can’t see that well…but whoever it is doesn’t look friendly…” You look up again and the shadow following you is barely trying to hide anymore from the looks of it and you realized just how massive and scary looking the shadow looked. Then as you turned a corner something unbelievable jumped in front of you. Even crouched the mutant in front of you was something you knew you couldn’t handle. Then the giant mutated wolf stood on its hind legs as it leered down at you with dark red eyes and nasty bone claws right near your chin. “You got that right.” The gravelly voice of the mutant wolf snarled. “I see you have that little turtle device. Care to tell me where you got it?” “Rahzar.” Mikey freaked over the other line, able to hear the unmistakable voice of Rahzar. “Who?” You question but then realize you’re currently being threatened and try to cover up your mistake of talking into the phone and you back up slowly to get farther away from his claw. “Uh, you see, this is just a case.” You say casually as you try to pretend to take the T-phone apart but it fails and you just laugh nervously and continue to back up until you accidentally hit a wall. “No big deal…so I’m just gonna—” “Go? Oh I don’t think so.” Rahzar chuckles rounds on you and stops you from leaving the alley you, unfortunately, corner yourself in. “Okay…Mikey I’m scared.” You almost whimper into the phone but then Rahzar picks you up by the shirt, causing you to drop the pizzas and also made you drop the phone which he then crushed under his giant clawed foot. “AH!” You scream as he reaches up to grab the fire escape and begins scaling the building. “Y/N!” Mikey freaked when the line went dead and he rushed to his brother’s lab screaming, “Donnie!” “What is it?” Donnie shouted back as he was currently testing a new retro-mutagen and didn’t want to be disturbed at the moment. “Rahzar got to her!” “Got to who?” Donnie asked, needing more context than that. “Y/N!” Mikey yelled furiously as he ran over to Donnie’s desk and shook him. “Please, pull up some traffic cams, I have to find her now!” Mikey then continued to freak as he left the lab and head out onto the surface to look for you. “Phone when you know!” “Mikey wait, bring…!” Donnie called hopelessly to Mikey but then realized his brother wasn’t listening. “Back up…” Donnie sighs as he rubs his eyes in annoyance as he sits in his swivel chair and pulls up traffic cams on his screen. “Jeez, that shell-for-brains…” Meanwhile back with you, you were on an abandoned building’s roof, being practically choked by Rahzar as he held you up over the ledge. The reason why he was letting you breathe was only to answer his questions. “Where’s that nasty little lair of theirs?” You didn’t answer as you just kept your eyes shut. “Are you going to talk or do I have to MAKE you?” He threatened as he brought you closer to his muzzle and snarled, earning a whimper out of you. “Please, I don’t know where they live!” You begged, knowing you had to buy time to figure out how to get out of this mess. “I was going to drop it off! He was going to get it from—” “No more lies! I know you know where they live.” Rahzar right through your lies and shook you a bit over the edge to scare you further. “Even if I did, which I DON’T I would never tell you.” You said, trying to go the tough route instead of the clueless victim route. You watched enough crime fighting shows to know what to do in these situations. “Do you think you should really be fighting me?” Rahzar challenged as he was on the verge of laughing at your feeble attempts to be intimidating. “Go back to whatever hell hole you crawled out of.” You spat in his face and enraged him to no end. “Brat!” He howled as he threw you to the side. “AGH!” You tumbled and ended up knocking the side of your head and you could feel it throbbing and some blood trickling down your face. “Y/N!” Mikey cried, but you could barely hear him as your ears were ringing but you could see him through the spots in your vision “Ah, so you show yourself at last.” Rahzar smirked, as much as he could at least. “All right Rahzar, you have no right to go after her!” Mikey yelled. “Anyone who’s a friend of yours is an enemy of the Shredder’s!” Rahzar argued. “No! Leave her out of this!” Mikey demanded. “Try and stop me!” Rahzar threatened as he tried getting near you again. You crawled further into the corner you were in, in any attempt to avoid being in his grasp again. Mikey seeing you so terrified was the last straw before he charged forward. “BOOYAKASHA!” Mikey cried as he knocked Rahzar over the side of the building, but it wasn’t enough as Rahzar grabbed the ledge and swung himself back up and tried lashing at Mikey. He dodged expertly all of Rahzar’s attempts at hurting him and as Mikey danced around to torment the mutated beast he extended his nunchucks and caught Rahzar in a tangled web of chains and Mikey tightened it and then tossed the mutant to the next rooftop over and the Rahzar whimpered like a dog as he landed harshly on his back. As the chains had released Rahzar, he limped back up but with a new found fury blurring his eyes. “One of these days, freak, I’ll skin you alive, turtle!” Rahzar cursed over his shoulder as he ran to get a leaping start back onto the roof. “Not gonna happen dog breath!” Mikey threw down an egg bomb and poofed you and himself out of there. Mikey had you wrapped up in his arms tightly as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop. Once he knew the two of you were at a safe enough distance from Rahzar, he set you down gently and saw you weren’t talking. You were just quiet and didn’t want to open your eyes. “Hey, it’s okay, we got away. Super Mikey came to the rescue.” Mikey chided reassuringly as he rubbed your back gingerly, not knowing exactly where it was you were hurt the most he didn’t want to hurt your further. You just started to cry at his kind words. “Hey…he’s gone now. He won’t ever hurt you again; that I can promise.” “H-He’s awful…” You stuttered as you wiped your eyes on your arm. “I know he is.” Mikey nodded as he wrapped a protective arm around you. “I-I didn’t tell him anything, but he wanted me to. I knew I couldn’t, he would hurt you and your family next.” You managed to say through your tears and violent shaking. “But you getting hurt isn’t worth it.” Mikey reasoned as he tried to wipe off some of the blood from your face with a cloth he had on his belt. “I was so worried about you. I wish I had gotten here sooner.” Mikey said sadly as he looked down at the ground shamefully. You were shocked as to how bad Mikey felt about everything, though it was your first time ever being cornered by one of Shredder’s mutants, it could’ve been a lot worse. You found it sweet also that he cared so much about your safety that you smiled and sniffled one more time before gingerly leaning over and giving him a hug around his neck. “Well you came, that’s what matters.” He soon accepted the hug by wrapping one of his arms around your back. “Thank you Super Mikey.” You blush slightly as you lean away from Mikey. “All in a day’s work.” You kiss him lightly on the cheek and he goes big-eyed and his mouth hangs open a bit. “Wow.” He shakes off his shock and then looks at you with an innocent smile. “Can I get more of those the more I save you?” “Maybe.” You prolong as you avert your eyes but nonetheless with a smile on your face as your blush continues to get darker. “Oh Rahzar!” Mikey sang into the wind, though not as loud as to get his real attention. “No, no no no!” You freak as you snuggle deeper in fear into Mikey’s arms and squirm dramatically. “I’m kidding! I’m kidding!” Mikey laughs as he tries to calm you down. “Not funny, shellhead!” You shove him, but not hard enough to hurt him of course. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I know, too soon.” He said as he put some of your loose hair that was in your face behind your ear. “Ya think?” You ridge a brow at him but nonetheless feel better and laugh lightly. “Okay, no more that…now, where’s that pizza of mine?” Mikey asked as he looked around excitedly. “Uh…I’m not sure…” You answer guiltily. “Aw man…” Mikey then looks at you and how guilt fills your features and to make it go away he swoops in for a quick kiss but a pleasant one nonetheless. His forwardness was unexpected but not unaccepted as you kissed him back excitedly. “Well, I guess alls well that ends well.” He smiled after you parted. “You know…I can MAKE you a homemade pizza.” You suggested with a smirk on your face. “You can DO THAT?” He gaped as the thought never occurred to him before. “Yup, you’re the ninja hero, and I’m the kitchen hero.” You nod as you poke his beak teasingly. “Woo!” He swoops you off the ground with one arm and twirls you around as he fist pumps into the air with a large grin. This was the Mikey that you always wanted to see.

All in all I still enjoyed the episode. I really wish we had some more build up to Za-Naron, or maybe a two-parter for the conclusion of this arc. The boys could have emoted a little more, but I put that down to how much that had time for in the episode and not the writing team trying to make the death of a brother a “no biggie” for the rest of the team (again i really think this should’ve been a two-parter).

Honestly S4 is kind of cramped in terms of story. Space doesn’t feel as important, Karai VS Shredder doesn’t feel as important. IMO they should’ve made space take up the whole season, if only so we could explore it more or have the chance to build some urgency, then had S5 focus on taking down Shredder so we’d have more action there *cough*andShini*cough*. Of course, that would be more in an ideal world, where Playmates isn’t breathing down Nickelodeon’s neck and the writers have no fear of not being renewed for a sixth season.

I’m really hopeful that S5 is a little more focused. From what we’ve heard thus far it sounds like they’re going for more contained story arcs, a little like TMNT 2003 had with their various shenanigans and mishaps. ‘course I probably won’t be too bothered by anything at all so long as we get more Karai and Shinigami. *shakes fist* WE’D BETTER GET MORE KARAI AND SHINIGAMI

Oh my god, I forgot about Rahzar and I was wondering where he was in the final battle. Leatherhead fucking drowned him like a real alligator during the fight in Requiem.

Was Fishface just left to asphyxiate then? Stone cold. 

At least they showed Stockman mercy. Bebop and Rocksteady may or may not be okay, the lasers in this show might as well be manned by Stormtroopers tbh.

Tiger Claw’s robot arm is pretty sick, he’s fucking Hoss Delgado now. And he’s totally fine...if he wasn’t, they wouldn’t be able to give yiff bait a return episode.

Pigeon Pete was at Splinter’s funeral, guess he didn’t die offscreen after all. Wait....is Mondo there? I don’t see him??

The series’ devotion to no carnage is age-appropriate, but Splinter’s body would realistically have looked like a smashed tomato after having fallen from the top of a skyscraper. Plus, in the end, it didn’t even look like Leo killed Shredder because the decisive blow didn’t leave a visible wound. And I don’t even know how Leo would have removed the Kuro Kabuto since Shredder’s armor is almost certainly fused to his skeleton like a turtle’s shell (lol irony). Just admit that Leo decapitated Shredder and held his head up as a trophy. It’s far too late to worry about the show scaring children anyway.

“This’ll go a lot easier if you hold still, brat,” he growled, sniffing at her. “We’ll have you in a nice, comfy little cell of your own soon enough.”

She just narrowed her big blue eyes, lips pursing into the angriest little frown. “Just you wait, you big jerks. When my big brother and his friends come, they’re gonna kick your gross butts all the way across the city!”

Fishface just snorted at that. He was leaning against the wall nearby, just watching the scene unfold with his ally and their little piece of bait. “She is mouthy, no?”

Scowling, Rahzar snorted, lifting Shadow so she was just that tiniest bit closer to his face. “Too mouthy, if you ask me-”

He was cut off with a yelp almost instantly, as Shadow - now within leg reach - had started thrashing, and managed to connect one sharp kick with the sole of her foot right to the massive canine mutant’s nose. That by itself Fishface would have found hilarious, but worse still was when the lights on her little sneakers started to blink brightly as a result of the impact.

Almost immediately, he was howling with laughter, which only got worse when Rahzar snapped his head back, holding Shadow out of reach again as he rubbed his nose with his free hand. He scowled at his compatriot, growling at whatever humor he found in this little whip of a girl trying to show him up, then turned his attention back to Shadow, giving her a firm shake.

“You little brat! Think you’re so tough, huh? I could eat you in one bite, and don’t you forget that.”

She just gave an indignant sniff, despite the rattling he’d just given her. “Nuh-uh. You wouldn’t hurt me. I heard your big weird spiky boss and he said you can’t hurt me or he’ll be the one to kick your butt before Casey comes and kicks your butt again for hurtin’ me. You’re just a big scared bully!”

This is my favorite thing from my fic with Shadow. Shadow has been a little gremlin since day one.
