as much as i've seen people complain about the amount of botox and plastic surgery that kaitlin olson and rob mcelhenney have gotten, i think it's entirely in character for mac and dee to do that given they're almost 50 years old. like, mac canonically has body dysmorphia. dee is desperate to be seen as attractive. of course they'd get botox together

#snap chats#HAPPY PRIDE MONTH I GUESS VJLKEJVLEKAVEAJ#no this is actually so funny theres a funny backstory to this dvd#after i watched first class the first time like. almost exactly a year ago now wow just give it like two or so more months#my brother was telling me a story about how he won a copy of the movie from his comic book club-#-same club held by my old high school comic class teacher mind you lol-#and they were having a little contest where you were supposed to draw what its like going to school at the x mansion#and they were doing this while watching the movie. naturally cause my siblings and i are So Great And Epic he won#and got the dvd as a surprise. it has never been opened JVLEVJELAKVJE#the comic he drew i actually remember seeing it was pretty cool- he made like. five cubes and drew the panels on those and stacked them#i dont remember the specifics of the comic but i remember deadpool was there... my bro loved deadpool in high school#but yeah anyway my brother told me this and i was like 'well ive rummaged around this house a million times ive never seen it'#so eventually my brother just conceded maybe he misremembered and got the man of steel-#-a dvd we. ALSO have for some reason- but lo and behold..... while i was rummaging around for one of my copies of twilight princess...#LIKE I HAD LOOKED IN THAT CABINET SO MANY TIMES ig cause i didnt care about xmen until last year i just ignored it#god when was my brother in high school. and i do math. this mustve been at least.... 14? years ago?? howdy!! it's been a minute but i'm still around. fair warning-- i have been lurking the whole time and have about. 100+ posts drafted 😵 you'll be seeing these shortly, i'll try my best to space them out as i get around to tagging them
#tldr im fine it's just been a lot lately and i havent had the energy to tag anything#which!! i like being chatty in the tags and i try my best to say at least something cool about any art or fic i rb#when you're running on 0 tho.... it gets hard to keep that energy up yk???#long version: (if anyone is reading this ty but feel free to drop off at any point it's kinda heavy and just a vent)#hit the 'one more minor inconvenience and im running off into the woods forever' point about five major events ago yet we're still truckin#firstly: found out two months ago (february) that i needed 6 credits worth of college by june to keep my teaching license for next year#so accelerated online graduate courses were the only option and i have since done more work for that than my 5 year undergrad#im almost done with the second class but im so fuckin drained dude i havent been able to really draw/write or play music or sew or anything#everything i do try has either been hit with the executive dysfunction or turns out Bad enough that i get frustrated#shortly after i found out the nice old guy downstairs died my upstairs neighbor who i cared a lot about died. last week and im still waitin#to find out when the funeral is from her son. ive been taking that kinda hard since i feel like i should have checked on her#my parents are moving 17 hours cross country to move back to where we are which is nice but ive been hearing about all their stress with th#house sale on loop by this point whenever i talk to them. which fair they managed to sell the house in a week when we thought itd be months#got smacked with thousands of dollars of surprise car repairs out of nowhere to get my inspection sticker and am still trying to recover#and petty things: lost my favorite piece of clothing and broke my glasses last week while running tech week for the kids#idk man any one thing at a time i could've toughed out better its just been all at once#anyways like i said i'm still truckin and will probably delete this (or at least the tags on it) later had to get all that out somewhere#messenger pidge#if anyone did get this far down thank you for watching me yap <3 i promise im good and will be back to normal shenanigans soon hopefully

Why is it always the shows that promote the value of friendship and healthy close bonds between friends and have barely any romance that are the ones that have the most vile shipping wars
#like#i dont understand#bluey and dungeon meshi for sure and wander over yonder and amazing circus#i am not separating those tags i will be eaten alive but actually why#like is it so hard to appreciate media that doesnt focus on romance like ships r fine but it just seems so SO prevalant in the specifically#friendship based shows#its almost like people cant recognize friendship as being an inherently valuable thing and can only see any two humans being close as romanc#?????#am i just not romance crazed enough i mean i love a good ship but i can be normal and recognize that wasnt the intention of the story???#the fact some people went into some of these shows expecting romance and not getting it#the fandom skews the impression of these shows with a valuable message into fodder for french kissing#like ships are fine but i feel like theres a problem if people see romance in a show that is emphasizing friendship#i mean i dont rly watch bluey so idk i guess theres some but the show is abt 7 year olds or something ok the focus is not going to be romanc

EDIT: Okay I know this isn't obvious but it needs to be said, Netflix Maria uses the design of 12 year old Maria, but she's actually 16. SOTN Maria is 17, which makes her a year older than Netflix Maria. If there was a 5 year time skip in the show, that would make Maria 21.

got propositioned for a job earlier from my aunt but there are so many downsides and things that obstruct it
#Rasp Rambles#the job in question is watching her youngest two (1 year old and 2 month old). she said she’d pay me to do it (she has to send them to#daycare otherwise and that is costly) however i’d have to both get my license AND get a car somehow to be able to watch them. i do not have#the time to find my handbook to study for getting my license and also don’t have the money for any vehicle beyond like. a regular old#non motorized bike. and there aren’t that many roads between my town and hers that have lanes for bicycles. and there’s an additional two#problems. one : i have to watch my sister almost daily and get her to and from the bus stop 3/5 school days. and two : its hot as shit in m#state all the fucking time. so riding a bicycle for like. an hour or two back and forth would fucking suck ass and not be worth whatever pa#that could be offered to me. like sure it’d be nice to be getting money. however not at the cost of my happiness and safety and sanity. i#am not great at handling infants and i no absolutely nothing about changing diapers.
