(Was talking with @dronebiscuitbat about how I genuinely wasn't sure if Spectre's relationship with Tera and Kiara was healthy or not, since Spectre's acting the way she is right now.

Then I just had a thought. Maybe the reason I think she's so bad is because I'm writing mostly all big impactful moments, and moments that do bring out stressful moments in Spectre.

I'm not writing every time Spectre pops up at the clinic to check on Ai and kiss Kiara, maybe try to fluster her if others are around. I'm not writing every time she dances with Tera in candlelight, or talks and cuddles with her whole Tera's drowsy or Spectre's feeling particularly affectionate.

Over at @shurikensgang, I'm not writing all the times Spectre hangs out with Harlow to talk or maybe spar, or Shuriken to play games with, or Brianna to talk with and maybe do some things with fashion and aesthetics, or J to talk and just spend time with a very close friend. Moments where they just spend time together, because they're friends, and friends can have mundane moments, even if mundane looks different from person to person.

I think by not actively writing and showing these normal daily occurences where things are just kinda boring in a very positive way, my brain has forgotten they happen much if at all. And as a result, I have a bit of a warped view of how much Spectre's rough traits appear compared to her sweeter ones.

Writing question for yall. Should the tombstone of a time traveler list every year they spent time in; or just the ones that are part of their “natural” lifespan? Currently writing a character who lived in 1952, 1955, 1985-2020, 2038-2059, and finally died there. All of these years were pretty pivotal to their life, but that stone would be awful crowded; and would be even worse as a general rule if even more prolific time travelers emerge. Doubt there’s a real answer but I wanna hear your thoughts.

Random writing moment as I'm watching "Light of a crescent moon" :D

She knew there was little chance to contact Vidkesh, to thank them for saving her son. Being among the void, Epros had said he had lived, that he was ok and that he was safe.

Voi knew she loved him, that she was so strong for saving him and still facing her brother.

She still missed him, being able to talk to him and being able to see her nephew at times.

But she also saw Violet at times, how he was doing after learning that Fable had slain him, how he watched over his family and stayed for them.

My timeline is fucked up again ;_; Events in Bloodborne (before Good Hunter) could take 20 years or 5 or any time you want. But it's a huge problem when when you already wrote a part of ff with one age of character and then you suddenly realise they must like 7 years older at this moment

im here to post updates on the stories im writing, art of my ocs, memes, quotes, general writing/oc business.

however: im a really, really amateur writer. ive been writing since i was a kid but i had some time when i gave it up, and im now getting back into it. im entirely self taught, sensitive and also not a native english speaker so my writings can seem janky sometimes.

Some backstory stuff for a character I played on an SMP & how I think things went for him

A Doctor Who fic because,,, I just finished the Christmas special (2023) and am going insane over the 15th Doctor and Ruby Sunday

Only two of these have actually started been written (the two assassins creed ones), but trust me when I say I have so many ideas and so little time

Don’t you just love when you’re writing something and you give a character a fun little hobby or interest in a topic you don’t know anything about just because it fits them, but then you have to actually write about them engaging in that hobby, and suddenly you need to do all kinds of research to ensure that you’re writing it accurately? So much fun.
