Okay, time to dive into Ateez' dynamics. I don't know much about this group's dynamic, so coming in blind, sometimes I like it that way, since I am less bias that way. I will do each member's perspective on the dynamic, so I will start with the leader. Also, this is the energy now, show this could change at any given time.

Seonghwa (The Experimenter/The High Priestess) This could indicate that the two feel most comfortable experiencing new things together. They both have a knack of trying new things. They may encourage each other to try new things. He may see Seonghwa as someone who tries new things and likes to emulate that. Now their bond seems pretty deep, they may share secrets with one another, but with the high priestess it seems they may not be as showy with their dynamic. They seem to just get one another and feel comfortable in each other's presence. But this tells me they know a lot about each other but keep this between themselves.

Yunho (The Partners/7 of Swords) The 7 of sords can be a backstabbing, betrayal card, but with the partner, I am getting partners in crime vibe, what does that even mean?, but it gives me they have each other's back, if someone hurts the other, the other one will defend that person who was hurt. I will say, I would be careful with that 7 of swords energy, that one is not betraying the other, because I can get that vibe with that card, and I like to keep it real, and showcase all options here. I don't keep it fluff. This is Hongjoong's perspective, so maybe there is a lack of trust on his part, not sure. But overall seems like a ride or die bond here at the moment.

Yeosang (The Persistent/The Tower) These cards are like completely opposite of one another, what does this means?! Okay, maybe this makes sense, so like this bond stays consistent, or he sees Yeosang as a persistent person, even though things get crazy around them. Or when unexpected things happen. It is like he holds onto his goals no matter what. It is like you can't shake his morals. Oh, now thinking about his personality reading, which I am being brough back to, this all makes sense now. He stands strong in his beliefs. I sense Hongjoong sees that too. I wonder if they got into argument's, because of that? Interesting.

San (The Nurturer/5 of Swords) So, they got the nurturer, and I was like, aww, but then the 5 of swords, and now I am lost, but let me tap in here. So, maybe San's need to nurture others, I mean does he nag him about things? Someone may feel the need to have the final say here. They both seem to have a nurturing tendency. I just want to say this energy is confusing, so he may see San as confusing, not surprised he is a Cancer, confusing energy they have, but I am starting to get a headache trying to decipher this, like the guy in the card is how I feel right now, so I think he is trying to tell me that he confuses him, like my hand is literally on my head, like the man in the card trying to decipher this. I get a sense he admires him a lot. Not sure I am getting much on this dynamic. He may also see him as emotional personal who wears their heart on their sleeve. It is like he has an allure about him that just makes things happen, he may want to emulate that trait. This one was kind of confusing too.

Wooyoung (The Reputable/3 of Wands) Umm, so he may see him as somehow who shows off an appearance that may not be truly him. So, the message on the back of this deck is, I live my life as if my guardian angel is watching over me. It just gives me he always feels he is being watched, so has to show off a good appearance. He may be afraid to show his flaws and weaknesses, this may be regarding to Hongjoong, he may try to appear a certain way to him, and maybe to others he sees. Are they not close? The 3 of wands just gives me someone waiting for things to happen, stagnant energy here. There is some unwillingness to move forward, is this about Wooyoung or the dynamic. Like there is passion there with the three of wands, but it is a bit stagnant. Once again, this seems more about his thoughts on Wooyoung, than the dynamic, not getting close vibes at the moment, but that can happen. This is just the energy now.

Jongho( The Lustful/8 of Wands) So, these two seem to not be afraid to explore their sexuality with this card, now this topic may not be taboo for them, they may discuss this topic around each other, it seems there is comfort there in that aspect. This could also indicate he sees Jongho that way, bruh he don't give me that vibe, but I don't know Aquarius' like to hide that side of themselves from outsiders, so yeah. This cards also shows his individuality and unique nature to himself. He is unapologetically himself; he may like that about him. There is a sense of these two being adventurous types and very passionate. With the 8 of wands, they are always on the move, on to the next thing. There seems to be lots of excitement when they are together.

Well, this was a wild ride. This group got some wild energy, but love it, although a bit confusing, sorry didn't completely understand the messages, but it happens when you only pull a couple of cards and girl got no time to dig deeper, but I felt there were still some insightful messages here.

Anyway, here are my thoughts on the chapter 117 and the Pain™ it brought me... Because both Follo and Rudo misunderstood each other and now my heart hurts.

Needless of me to say, the biggest surprise I got in this chapter is... not that Enjin is a ladies-man. I mean, with him saying that he "likes a good woman" especially if they're sexy and smarter than him, yeah, I imagined that he would be.

It's nice seeing more of Semiu being serious about the Cleaners' job. She's a tough one, and she's right, Rudo needs to get back to work.

Before I get on my Follo angst situation, I will say that though the misunderstanding between Rudo and Follo and Follo's grief for the loss of his hammer is easily my number 1 surprise, seeing Noerde and the Sileia tribe mentioned again intrigues me as well.

Noerde seems to have been known by Mildretta, who was also a Sileia, it seems... Or at the very least, Mildretta had heard of Noerde from somewhere. Also Mildretta's another tough woman. I was wondering when we'd see more of her and today I got my answer.

Now, unto Follo!

I am tempted to just dump this stuff in your face, but NO.

No. I will not. I must resist my urge to curl into a ball.

We know that Follo has been wanting to become a Giver this whole time. We can see clearly from his memories here that his goal and dream has been cast aside at best and insulted at worst.

His hammer was his chance. He had taken good care of it... Until he offered it to Rudo to break the chest.

Follo himself had made the proposal, but in the moment his hammer broke, he realized that he hadn't really been ready for the possibility of the hammer breaking.

This has probably been eating him up from the inside. His chance of becoming a Giver broke in front of him, and he has been feeling guilty because it's happened due to his own will of helping Rudo.

He wants to take pride in being a supporter. He really does. He thinks that being a supporter is just as important as being a Cleaner, but hasn't being a supporter who supports the Cleaners no matter what deprived him of his treasured hammer?

And also... Rudo has just rejected his offer of an undamaged uniform. This just rubs further salt into the wound.

A "supporter"? Can he even support the Cleaners right? Should he? He wants to be a Giver after all, and what happened due to his diligence to the cause just deprived him of his treasured item that was the key to his aspirations...

What is his place? He is feeling like he cannot be the hero of the story no matter what he does.

Rudo, on the other hand?

Guys, we're talking about "if it's broken, I will still use it until it's truly disintegrated and until then it's not trash" Rudo.

Of course he wouldn't want a new uniform. It got damaged? Not a big deal for him, he can patch it up, he doesn't mind, it's not like it's trash after all.

Nothing is trash to him.

He can't throw it away just because it's damaged.

Of course he said no to Follo's insistence.

And yet Follo probably doesn't understand. Maybe it's also due to the way they seem to have been raised, which is also the reason why I think it has been much harder so far for Follo to awaken a Jinki.

Rudo has had an empty hole inside of him for as long as he can remember, which was filled by his gloves. Follo doesn't really have the same characteristics of Rudo: his body and soul don't crave an object or someone to rely onto as much as Rudo's do. Follo does WANT a Jinki, but not with the same exasperation that makes up Rudo's heart's NEED for a Jinki.

Alternatively, Rudo's been shown as being more versatile, so to speak, compared to Follo. Rudo's soul craves the awakening of pretty much ALL he touches, at least potentially. He can awaken every object that has emotional energy stored inside of it as a Jinki.

Follo cannot do that, it's pretty clear to see. And when he is given a Jinki? Remember what happens? Zodyl may look creepy at times and very intense, but he's spot on when he says that people who try to use a Jinki when they are not the user of the Jinki themselves, or when they are not "empty" enough, they go mad. They are meeting despair derived from the object being away from what they consider a suitable friend, and they are overwhelmed with the feelings of the object. At least from what we can deduce.

"Emptiness" and "trauma", in short, make it much, much easier for someone to bring a Jinki into life. They make it easier for the person's and the Jinki's energies to join in order to reach a balance.

And while Follo's life has been riddled with struggle, I can clearly see that, it WILL take some more time before he gest his own Jinki. It's not that he has no chance of getting one, it's just that he does not have the same constitution as, say, Rudo or Amo or Zodyl, so it will be more difficult.

But maybe this will be the episode, this one misunderstanding, that transforms Follo into someone that an object may feel tempted to, so to speak, complete?

EDIT: ALSO Givers are Givers for their objects. That is to say, one shouldn't become a Giver BECAUSE that way they will gain approval for doing something because they're finally "special" enough to do that thing. Givers simply BECOME. They just BECOME their role, not for a purpose but because of the way they feel and interact with objects in their surroundings.

Again, Follo was probably close to becoming one. So close! He treasured the hammer and took care of it with perseverance. But he did it because otherwise people would be skeptical about him being in the Cleaners. He did it to prove a point... And not necessarily because HE loved the hammer, but because SOMEONE ELSE WHOM HE LOVED had the hammer (see the boy with the lighter hair that says he will become a Giver while holding the hammer? on the fourth page?) and a similar goal.

Follo is not fully living for himself.

Because yeah my theory was that ancient dragon worked together with humans and it was a cult kinda toward them and supervise by them directly. But I always found it quite odd because why would ancient dragons lead a cult who encourage humans to kill & eat the hearts of their kind?!

But now we know! Because ancient dragons (placi, fortissax, lansseax, gransax...) had a big fight with greyoll type of dragon XD idk if you got to this part of the lore but yeah complicated to know who really start this all thing even if it seems there's a culprit...

Anyway I guess you went to the great altar of dragon communion to get the item too and saw what's there but I have some thoughts to share below. Plus about which dragons can be found on jagged peak!: (lil spoilers warning)

Damn that thing is so huge. Seems Bigger than greyoll for sure and I really wonder if it's not bigger than Gransax. Hope there's its name somewhere.

Also at first, I thought that it died on accident and "fall" on a very pointy rock (the base is stuck in the ground like a rock). But after looking more closely I notice it's form was quite unnatural and even had a very long clean cylinder like a spear ^ (also a pick like that alone made 0 sense naturally bfhjcb). So I think it was build for sure. But it's terrifying. How did this enormous dragon died excalty??

Also on the way of jagged peak. ---

There's a first dragon boss (greyoll type) (who kicked my ass) who master both fire AND thunder! I found this detail quite smart, those are closer to ancient dragon for sure. Make sense with the timeline etc

Then a bit later there's 2 dragons beating the shit out of each other 😂 Like wtf (got my ass beat too I will do him later).

So does it mean dragons beat the shit out of each others and that's why there's all dead around?? help

But basically, I got inspired by two other fics (that are mentionned in this post) with the same premise that Twilight, Wind and Legend are the heroes in Triforce Heroes. Except when they meet again, Twilight and Wind don't recognize Legend, he's angsty about it, and then... A younger Legend arrives as a new hero ?? Now they're a group of ten, and as you can guess Legend is sooo good at pretending he's not bothered. It's fine ! He didn't want to make friends anyway !

(It also does have a proper title now lmao, but I'm keeping it for me for now >:] Also if I don't start posting it by next month please someone bonk me over the head, it's been way too long)

I answered this too ! But mostly a pantser. I found out that when I start plotting, since I get the idea out of my head, sometimes my brain is like "welp, we don't need to write this anymore !"

To the great surprise of absolutely no one, my favorite character to write is Legend. I don't know why, I didn't even play his games a lot contrary to some others, but the character just speaks to me.

One little thing that I like (and will be clearer in other wips) is that when I write in his pov, you (should) understand his thought process and why he says things. But if you take this away, he actually comes off as pretty rude ! I enjoy making him think "this is reasonable to say", and then when he says it, it's.... Not that reasonable lmao

I have an example of what I mean in A cave like a net, chapter 4 :

Legend does empathize with Sky, but then he thinks "he probably doesn't want me to coddle him", so he answers with an attitude.

It makes me a little scared sometimes when I write from other people povs, because then Legend looks like he's just this mean, uncaring dude. He's not ! But when you take away his thoughts, well, you're left with the rude comment !

That's why I also write the chain as being used to it. Here, Four act as a mediator : he makes a little comment, making it more of a joke again, and everyone is happy !

I just. Yeah. Unreliable narrators, socially inept characters, my absolute beloveds <3

And if you think, "aw, it would be interesting to see the chain's reaction when they're not used to it", well. Remember the question about the favorite wip ? I WILL GET IT OUT I NEED TO GET IT OUT RAAAHHHH

One aeon criticism I've never understood is this idea that Leon in the original games was always some sad, lovesick puppy constantly chasing after Ada and that he ignored her flaws. His reaction to seeing her again in the original RE4 isn't that different from the remake and I'd say he's somewhat cold and maybe a little annoyed at seeing her again in Damnation (on the surface at least). Leon has appeared in one game, a miniseries and three movies where Ada isn't even mentioned.

i think his line of "she's like a part of me I can't let go," was a major reason why the whole "love sick puppy" narrative came from (for re4.) i think the fact that leon actively lets ada get away with things also goes with that idea.

i'd agree that he is at times cold to her in og re4, they only really have a moment when he just turns his back to her (choosing to trust her) during the choke scene, and after he apologizes to her for choking her, she just says that they need to get that thing out of him and that's that. in og re4 he trusts her implicitly even though they're clearly on opposites sides still.

damnation, he definitely is annoyed at first, or it could be also just surprised. probably because she's pointing her hookshot at him but he's stupid and probably thought it was a gun. cause when he actually sees her and says, "ada," he lowers his gun almost immediately after realizing it's her- and only raises it again when he sees her "gun" pointed at him. (they also already had a night together, so he probably was like wtf) after they have their little lovers quarrel lol, she clearly shows that it's a hookshot and he lowers his gun again as she hookshots away or whatever lol.

by the time it's re6, ada doesn't even point anything at him lol. and it's helena that actually does it (rightfully so because of ada killing her sister) but even despite leon not explaining anything to helena, she gets the general idea after he lowers helena's gun away from ada.

honestly- i feel like the whole "love sick" thing is exaggerated because the genders roles are reversed. if leon was a woman, and ada was a man, we wouldn't be having this conversation. ada would just be another emotionally distant man that comes in whenever he wants to, but he loves her unconditionally so she just takes what he gives her. but THIS would be a romance then. it would be her (i'm still talking about leon here) trying to connect with him over and over again and to follow him to the end (this is SO SO common in romance)

one of the dynamics that i do like is when gender roles are reversed. that's actually why i'm kinda into hunger games again and everlark (katniss x peeta) because i do like the idea of a colder woman x sunshine man lol. it's SO COMMON in media for a colder man x sunshine woman and i'm sick of it lol

give me crazy dark women that are sexy and or not sexy and a soft good man. im tired of toxic men and "oh he's so mean to everyone EXCEPT for me!!!!!! he loves me!!!!!" BLEHAGHG YUCK im not 16 anymore, that's so cringe to me lol

it's clear that leon would go against his own morals for ada. and i think that's also the root of it. but again, if the genders were reversed, we wouldn't be having this conversation. TONS of women go against their own morals for men. i don't think leon's affection for ada is like THAT INSANE, he still chooses to do the most right thing- the only thing is that he won't let ada get hurt in the process, which TECHNICALLY isn't against his morals.

The scenery is so pretty.

3. There seem to be Chinese subtitles on the right side of the screen indicating that background music is playing but I think they cut it out because I’m not hearing anything. Maybe it’s because I’m watching it on YouTube. I don’t know about other platforms.

4. Yeah, they cut the music now and it just sounds awkward and empty.

46. Wow, even the kitchen boys are bullying him. They’re probably gonna get beaten by Xi Wu and zapped when Tantai Jin gets into power.

48. How is he working in the kitchens and doing dishes while looking so pristine?

56. One thing that irks me about these tropes (it irks a lot of other people too) is that when the FL begins to stand up for herself against the servants, she slaps them.

59. I was under the impression Tantai Jin would commit murder but he just made the head cook (I think) swallow a fly. His reaction after swallowing the fly would have made you think he was being poisoned or choked.

60. It’s funny that she’s lecturing the staff about how rude they are even though this whole time she kept on saying he deserved it. You left him in the cold and whipped him. You know he’s a captured prince.

61. She’s putting all the blame on the servants rather than saying that OG! Xi Wu and even herself were wrong.

62. Instead of Xi Wu slapping them, they’re slapping themselves.

63. “If I had dignity, I would’ve died years ago” He really is a Disney princess.

64. More specifically, Cinderella. I saw a video essay from a channel called The Take. They talk about how people victim blame Cinderella a lot for not fighting back her abusers. In one part of the video, they talked about how Cinderella allows the abuse to continue as it is very likely that her stepmother would kick her out if she acted out.

65. Tantai Jin doesn’t know that the Xi Wu in front of him is not the original. So if I were him, I’d be more cautious about what type of food Xi Wu feeds me than the servants. Although, OG!Xi Wu could’ve ordered the servants to poison Tantai Jin’s food.

66. This man gives me Jin Xixun vibes or Mo Xuanyu’s cousin who died in the first episode of MDZS/The Untamed.

67. Oh, this is hard to watch.

68. That guy threw the cake on the ground and then stepped on it. Even if I was hungry I could never take a bite of it. It took me a while to even eat/drink something that someone else touched with their hand or mouth.

Got an hour of answering asks until I return to banging my head against the wall trying to write the last two scenes of chapter 14 (it’s a fucking nightmare) (we’re at 8k right now) (we’re going to end up over 10k BUT NOT BY MUCH PLEASE GOD PLEASE) Anyways. LETS GO LET’S GET INTO YOUR THOUGHTS FROM JUST DROPPED CHAPTER 11!!!

Carmen’s vibe switch really was so fun to write for me, like he SUCKED the energy right out of the room— In what I feel was 100% the way he would do that. He gives such a fuck about titles, it’s ANNOYING!!!

Richie has been such a joy to dig into for the last few chapters— Two Steps Back specifically was so fun, but with Just Dropped it was fun because I do think somewhere Richie is mad at Chip— Like how could he not be, y’know? He thought he just lost one friend and then he lost TWO!!!?? He gets it, but I do think like Chip said, somewhere deep, it’s still kinda there.

Carmen however, was 100% being a shitstarter in this fight that was all a FUCK load of projecting. I mean c’mon, that nothing talk— This mffff…. No one’s useless!!! He’s just bullshit!! Writing fights is really one of my favourite types of dialogue to write, it kinda reminds me of this one fuckin’ quote somewhere about how the way you react to fearing for your life shows a lot about you. I think the way you fight shows SO much about a character. We could dig in for literally hours about each line from the freezer fight, I love that shit man. "Mrs. Jennings, a grandmother." Um, Fanny, Mrs. Jennings already has grandkids by her daughter Lady Middleton. Seriously, this screenwriter is full of shit.

Anne's as talkative as Charlotte and Mrs. Jennings but she needs to learn when to shut up.

Fanny's having the mother of all conniptions. She actually called the Steele girls sluts. That's definitely NOT in the book. I doubt Ms. Austen ever used that word. It existed in her time but she had more class than that. Somebody get me the screenwriter, I just want to talk. I definitely prefer Fanny '95's freak out over this woman's guttural screeching.

Marianne finally realizing what Elinor has been going through while she was too busy moaning about Willoughby. I hope this reality check hurts, girl. It's high time you realized the world does not revolve around you and your mood swings.

I just finished reading Back to You 5.1, and honestly, THANK YOU for this absolute masterclass! As always, it was incredible. This chapter instantly made it into my top 10 favorite fanfic chapters I’ve ever read on Tumblr. It had everything—the tension, the angst, the love, and above all, that deep, gut-wrenching sadness that just hits different.

Now, let’s talk about Jeno’s lines… because OMG, they were insane! Every time he opened his mouth, you could feel everything—his emotions, his pain, his love—it was just so intense. I couldn’t even pick a favorite because every single one of his lines was perfect and packed such a punch. And God, I loved it. Jeno was the ultimate green flag from start to finish in this chapter. The way he spoke to Nabi, the way he protected her, how he still tried to understand her no matter what… You could see how much he loves her. But the part that got me the most? The ending. When he was literally begging her to tell him why she was acting like that… You could feel his desperation, his heartbreak, his need for answers. His reactions, his words—everything was so raw and real. I’m never gonna forget this.

But Taeyong… oh my God, Taeyong. He has officially won the award for WORST coach, WORST father, and just WORST human being in general. His constant ultimatums pissed me off so much. Like, how do you even treat your own son like that?! And the whole thing with the pictures… WTF?! How does a father even have those kinds of private pictures of his son and his girlfriend?! That is so messed up! And the worst part? It makes me wonder—did he actually look at them? Did he want to have them? Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl. I really hope Jeno’s reaction to this is as explosive as it should be, because honestly? Taeyong needs to be taken down. Hard. At this point, only a brutal wake-up call—pure, cold revenge—can maybe knock some sense into him.

And then there’s Mark. Always there for Nabi, always saying the right things, always bringing the perspective everyone needs to hear. I loved that he told her Jeno’s life isn’t just about basketball. Yeah, the sport is important to him, but let’s be real—his whole world revolves around her. She’s his balance, his anchor, the one thing keeping him from spiraling. And we all know that without her, he’s just gonna fall back into his worst habits. It broke my heart to see how much he needs her, but at the same time, it was so beautiful to witness a love that strong.

P.S.: Honestly, I really hope Jeno doesn’t just forgive Nabi too easily. She lied to him, and not just once! He asked her so many times what was going on, who was blackmailing her, why she was acting this way, and every single time, she avoided the truth. He has every right to be hurt, to be mad at her. So yeah, I do want them to be okay again, but I also need Nabi to realize just how much she hurt him by keeping all this from him.

Oh, and I hope you’re doing okay too! Because honestly, after writing a chapter this intense, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re emotionally drained right now.

oh my god, this is everything. genuinely, thank you so much for this—I don’t even know where to begin because your words mean the absolute world to me. the fact that this chapter made it into your top 10 favorite fanfic chapters ever on tumblr?? that alone has me speechless. i put so much into writing this, into making sure every single moment carried weight, that every word jeno said hit—so hearing that it all came through exactly as i wanted?? it makes every second of writing worth it.

jeno’s lines… god, i don’t even know how to explain how much i obsessed over them. i needed him to feel like a force of nature in this chapter—someone who loves so deeply it wrecks him, who is patient and understanding but not a fool, who is desperate but still so strong. you got it exactly right—he is the ultimate green flag, but he’s also at his breaking point. the way he pleaded with nabi, the way he just needed an answer, needed her—it was meant to be suffocating, unbearable. and if you felt all of that while reading, then i succeeded.

taeyong… yeah. i don’t even have words. he’s beyond redemption at this point. he’s never just been an overbearing father, he’s always been something worse. something dangerous. the pictures? that was meant to be vile, something so disgusting it makes your stomach turn, because that’s who he is—someone who sees his son as nothing but a pawn. and the implications? exactly. your reaction is exactly what i wanted people to feel. taeyong isn’t just a bad father—he’s something far, far worse, and the question of whether or not he wanted those pictures is something meant to make your skin crawl. jeno’s reaction is coming, and trust me—it’s going to be explosive.

and mark. mark, mark, mark. he’s always been the voice of reason, the one who sees past the surface, the one who knows jeno beyond basketball, beyond all of it. because you’re absolutely right—jeno’s world isn’t just basketball. it’s her. it’s nabi. she’s the thing keeping him steady, the thing keeping him from falling apart completely. and without her? well… we both know what happens to him when she isn’t there.

also, i completely agree with you about nabi needing to realize just how much she’s hurt jeno. she loves him, but love doesn’t excuse lies. he’s asked her over and over again, begged her, and she’s continued to shut him out, to let him suffer alone. he should be mad. he should be hurt. and while i want them to be okay too, she absolutely needs to earn that back. but another perspective is that she’s doing this as she truly has no choice, she’s thought about a way out but she’s at a dead end. sadly it’s not black and white. it’s so complex and so layered. :(

and omg, i am emotionally drained, but reading this??? it made everything feel worth it. genuinely, thank you. your words hit me just as hard as the chapter hit you, and that means everything.
