I know realistically what actually happened is probably that Esther just wanted Monty to ingratiate himself into the group and Monty himself just decided to start flirting with Edwin of his own volition, which is funny enough on its own, but I really do think sometimes about Esther creating human Monty as specifically a honeypot for her revenge plan, because that leaves us with two more hilarious options - either Esther instructed him to flirt specifically with Edwin (which means she, much like everyone else in this damn town, clocked him in about two seconds but like. when he wasn’t even doing anything particularly telling lmao), or she crafted him to be attractive to any of the three he happened to bump into first (which implies that Esther is certain that all three of them are into guys from that same brief encounter) and I honestly don’t know which is funnier.

Ran into another post about the disney-midjourney lawsuit discourse and tbh it baffles me every time. You guys Do know it's already illegal to sell fanart, right? You know that the lawsuit isn't calling for expansion of copyright law and disney doesn't need to expand it in order to win, right? You know disney is only *really* suing midjourney because it has a subscription option(profit) and has the capacity to mass produce copyrighted work(scale), and the interest disney has in this is entirely money based, and they won't suddenly see a monetary benefit to be gained from suing small artists after this(who neither make enough of a profit nor produce their work in a large enough scale to become a real competitor for disney), right? You know making money off of copyrighted work that's not yours or that you don't have a license for hasn't been protected by the law for a really long time and we make it despite this because we know it's very unlikely to give us trouble, right? Maybe I don't follow other fandoms as much as I follow Kuroshitsuji fandom and maybe it's just me but why is this fandom so toxic? Why is this fandom so fixated on their theories and assumptions so much to the point where they try to shove their opinions as facts down to other people's throats even though it's definitely not canon? Reading the manga and interpreting everything in your own way and coming up with theories and sharing them is wonderful. Nobody's stopping anybody from doing that and many theories are quite helpful and gives every readers a broader perspective. I definitely appreciate the people who works so hard to put 2 and 2 together and realized that there are twins even before it was officially revealed. We need that type of intelligent and observant people in every fandom since it provides so much insight and knowledge.

But then there are those who try to spread misinformation and assumptions as real facts and others are just eating it all without being bothered to do their own research. And I could give so many examples. Starting from how Yana said that Kuro is supposed to be yaoi but that won't sell much, then how SebaCiel or Lizzy x Ciel or Sullivan x Ciel ship is canon, then how Sebastian took Vincent's looks so that Ciel trusts him more (despite Yana clearly addressing the "same face syndrome"), then how OCiel hates Lizzie and is just keeping up with her just because he's forced to even though it's him who decided to play the fiance part (I'm pretty sure that if he refused to carry it out after coming back from that hellhole, even whilst pretending to be Ciel, then maybe nobody would be actually forcing him to do that), then how everybody hated OCiel for being sick and only loved Real Ciel, then how Real Ciel was evil even before dying or how he's so bad with servants even though none of those servants were his (except Tanaka) and the only thing he told them was to shut up or lower their voice in front of the master of the house. That's just it. Also where did he treat Sebastian badly, not like I would have cared anyway but the question still remains? He just asked him that how dare he play with his dead body and disrespect him. Who wouldn't even ask that if they came back from the dead? Who would be even as calm and collected as Ciel? Most would be quite angry and lose their shit if they are standing in front of a being that disrespected their dead body.

The yaoi part isn't even a theory but a rather lame rumor and I would say that all these other ones are also quite bad takes and barely theories. You need to provide some solid evidence and connections in order to make a valid, well thought-out theory and none of these rumors/theories have that to suggest anything (Theories about the ships and relations can make sense and can be entertaining then Real Ciel being evil or at least being related to the manor attack is the only well thought-out theory here but again, I have no intention of talking shit about good/average/bad/ridiculous theories here and theories can be good or bad, but I'm just talking about those who claim certain things as facts and not just theories but don't even have evidence to back that up). Many just read certain theories, take their favorite parts from a certain theory, run with it and pretend as if they themselves came up with that shit and treat that as facts. How delusional. Also, what a shame that it's been years yet people still believe these liars and these liars are still spreading such misinformation and still clinging on to their delusions despite others proving them wrong over and over.

Whenever there's any media im interested in, unless is a videogame (and that's a big unless, i have even pirated Pokemon), my first instinct is to go and research for hours a way to find it for free. In my mind it never crosses the idea to go and pay a big corporation for something i can easily search.

Maybe is because i have grown in a poor country. Maybe is how since i was little I was taught in my school to not fail to the corporations' mindset that they can own you. That there's always a way out of the paywall.

I've seen a lot of posts talking about boycotting McDonalds, Disney, and Starbucks, however none of those companies are on the list of companies BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) is asking people to boycott. If you want to continue boycotting them that's great, but when it comes to spreading information it's important to focus on the targets BDS listed, which can be found here. As they explain on their site:

I have no idea why this is getting notes, because I was certain I had locked reblogs (I know I did, I have no idea what happened?), but this did not happen. The very next day, the sale was undone and the website was restored. The auction was rejected and eventually, any idea of auctioning off Infowars was rejected entirely. The judge will only accept cash bids, and as the company that owns Infowars is not bankrupt, no sale of Infowars will be conducted and no sale of assets will be allowed. Additionally, any auction would be cash-only, in which case the larger cash bid of Alex Jones' supporters would best the amount offered by the Sandy Hook families & The Onion. I don't know how reblogs stayed on for this post when I know I posted updates to it saying that the sale didn't go through, that's a mistake on my end or on Tumblr's, there's a very good chance I just did updates saying "hey this isn't a thing" without locking bc I consistently forget that often posts spread without their OP's reblogs & put the context in there like a fool, but I am confused that people are cheering this on when even a simple Google search would confirm that Infowars is still broadcasting conspiracy propaganda (today's top story: claims of "white genocide" in South Africa), and because...if The Onion owned Infowars, surely there'd be more people talking about it than one Tumblr post from last November?

Alex Jones is livestreaming rn and for the first and only time in my life it's appointment viewing. He got evicted from his studio mid-stream and they had to cover for him when he popped up in his "satellite studio" (a room in his house I assume) devoid of the Infowars branding. He's talking about how "tens of millions" of people have watched his final broadcast & you can literally see he has far less than a million viewers in the bottom corner (and this is on Twitter, which inflates views of videos ever since Elon had to convince people anyway gives a shit about Tucker Carlson's livestreams). He's currently whining that they chose not to sell his site back to him at auction, so he could keep doing the crimes that are why he was selling his website.

I didn't see this personally but he's apparently read out the Onion's announcement, which is a fake article by a fake corporation, out loud several times as if it was real. Anyway it should be noted how screwed he is, bc...

...while he can livestream under his own name, they own his warehouses of dubious supplements. He has nothing to sell but t-shirts protesting that his show is going down. Since Infowars was, first and foremost, a lifestyle brand, this leaves him, scientifically speaking, "totally fucked". He doesn't have ads, that's the only way he makes money
