The command echoes off the walls and ricochets in their minds. All thoughts completely stutter to a halt and suddenly their limbs have turned to lead.

Marie coughs, violently and a few specks of blood splatter onto the floor.

"You good?"

Azure's by her side in an instant, a worry clear on her face.

"I-hk- fine... I'm fine..."

...

She doesn't sound okay - her voice is hoarse and raspy - but she waves off Azure's concern anyways, slithering away from the immobilised soldiers.

It's only when the duo have walking out of sight - around a corner - that the soldiers feel their limbs working again.

in desperate need of a superhero who has every conceivable superpower...but isn't "overpowered" bc they're mediocre at everything. flight? i mean yeah they can fly. with all the grace of a drunken butterfly, bumping into multiple surfaces in the process, but yeah technically they're flying. super strength? sure with super butterfingers built-in, but it counts. laser eyes but their aim's for shit. they've saved the world as many times as they've endangered it by making a bad situation worse. the "good guys" and "bad guys" are equally apprehensive of having this person on their team

James Potter who can read minds and has a crush on Regulus.

Regulus who's first thought when he sees James is "huh" and then from then on has absolutely zero thoughts in his head when he's around James. Insults coming out because his brain is just throwing stuff out there and hoping it sticks. He sees James and he's so mesmerized that there's nothing in his head.

James assumes Regulus just doesn't care enough about him to think of him. (He's also a little concerned that Regulus seemingly doesn't have a thought process.)

Then one day James approaches Regulus without him noticing and hears how fast, rapid and loud Regulus' thoughts usually are, only for Regulus to notice him and it all immediately becomes silent.

LEVIATHAN

This wonderful piece was directly inspired by the cover of Leviathan, by Thomas Hobbes, which represents how even a king with absolute power (the Leviathan) only has such position thanks to his people. In a similar way, Mob is only the person he is because of the good influence of his family and friends.

This art has almost every relevant character, since they direct or indirectly influenced Mob's life. Try to find your faves!

Some small details I like : )

Reigen, Ritsu and Tsubomi cradle Mob's inner self since they're the ones who determined Mob's behavior the most.

Teruki behind Tsubomi. His idealization of Mob can be compared to how Mob idealized Tsubomi.

Mogami and Minori are partially hidden, but still in a rather close circle to the center. Despite their deeds, they were the ones who made Mob realize that people can change and that they need other people.

Even in a position of power (shown by the low angle), Mob always offers a helping hand to those who need it

My dear boy!! I love him!!! He is such an amazing and sweet and relatable little guy with one of the most emotional conclusions to his character development ever. He is one of the first characters to make my issues feel truly seen while also having a very understanding story about them, especially the part about loving and being loved despite your flaws. Mob is such a great protagonist. His empathy is a big mark in a genre that bases itself on coolness for the sake of coolness and constant violence, and thankfully, it was encouraged by someone who also questions those violent ideals. He is always striving to become a better person and help others start the same path, because he himself also doubts and needs help. He isn't always sure of what to do! He gets many things wrong!! Still, he takes the time to try to do better in the future!!! The comfort character ever... Anyways love you so so much Mob my beautiful boy have a happy birthday now!!!

I can’t get over how Blitz is holding Stolas. 😭 He’s so protective. It’s instinctual at this point; just refusing to let go of his bird.

I love how Blitz takes the whole brunt of the landing, making sure Stolas doesn’t touch the ground and get hurt. Such a gentleman, a knight protecting his prince. 👏👌🙏

Does Silvers and Espios kids also have their abilities? PK and/or Invisibility?

They sure do! Let's start with Psi;

Psi inherits psychic powers from Silver, but they don't work the same. His powers are exclusively telepathic as opposed to Silver's telekinesis. He can project thoughts and illusions to any target of choice, as well as read minds. He and Alloy use the mind read/transfer thought trick ALL the time to chat and goof off without anyone knowing :'D It's the only time he's ever a real chatterbox

He's very unstable, though. When not held in check, he can't focus his powers at all or control how much of it he uses. If he doesn't wear the braces, he can just hear everyone's thoughts simultaneously, and he gets super overwhelmed very very quickly. The more stressed he is, the more power he unleashes, and the more power he unleashes, the louder everything gets. When he's in top overload like that, he emanates an aura of psychic noise around himself that interferes with the senses of anyone who gets close to him.

I think that about covers it for him, so lets move on to Alloy;

Where Psi inherited Silver's powers, Alloy inherited all of Espio's chameleon abilities! She can climb on walls and ceilings, she can use her tail to grapple and cling to things, and she has a chameleon tongue that she can use to steal shit out of her brother's hands <3

The only thing that doesn't directly transfer is the invisibility. She can colour shift, but she can't control when she does it. Usually, it only happens if she's either frightened and feels the instinctual need to hide, or if she's very angry where it works as a form of threat display.
