lalo salamanca is so fantastic as like, a symbol and not a person. he is the point where every runaway train narrative converges to meet—at a villain who is quite literally unstoppable except for his own hubris. the final head of the salamanca hydra; the physical manifestation of everyone’s pagliacci-esque violent grieving behaviour and it’s a man so terrifying and so invincible he might as well be the devil.

When I say I love crossover stories I mean I LOVE THEM
And not the “Oh what if this universe had the thing from this universe” no I mean straight two different characters from different movies/shows being forced to interact for my entertainment.
I feel like they used to be so common but now there’s barely any new ones. Even fanfics have gone the more amalgam universe route.
I don’t care if it doesn’t exactly make sense I just want something fun
The Grim adventures of the KND
Now these shows technically exist within the same universe BUT I like that all the characters personality’s stay intact. The fact that the KND intentionally ignores Billy and Mandy’s town is hilarious. Mandy becoming an evil dictator makes sense
There’s also an Ed Edd n Eddy cameo!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DC versus Marvel
Now I know an event like this will probably never happen again but it was so good.
The most popular hero’s and villains from both universes being forced to fight. This fight also leads to an Amalgam universe which was interesting to see. It also introduced me to my favorite crack ship
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lilo and Stitch meets Everyone
The lilo and stitch series were the queens at crossover episodes. Sure it was silly but I loved it
Tumblr media
Jimmy and Timmy power hour
This is one of the few crossovers that had characters switch art styles. It was interesting to see characters switching between worlds so freely. And it was cute seeing them fight over Cindy

Look I'm just saying. Somewhere out there, there's an alternate version of 6B, where instead of breaking up with him in that parking lot, Kim just lit a cigarette, smiled and said "I told you I was ok with Howard getting hurt". And she went on to play in the higher echelons of THE GAME, while Jimmy stayed behind, shook to his core by the realization that he really didn't know his wife at all.
What makes me ANGRY, is remembering that between 5 and 6, fans on Reddit started complaining about how evil Kim was becoming, and instead of sticking to their guns the writing staff apparently read those reviews and recalibrated accordingly. They wanted to write a crowd-pleasing ending, but BrBa fans have an absurdly narrow idea of what a female character should be, so they couldn't do anything too interesting with Kim's character without pissing the fans off. Women are supposed to support their husband's criminal activity, but upstaging him? Surpassing him? Scaring him? Forcing him to admit he might have bitten off more than he could chew? We can't have that!
In seasons 4 and 5, the behind-the-scenes interviews keep saying stuff like "We're learning that Kim is so much more than just the voice of Jimmy's conscience"
And in season 6, the interviews proudly conclude "Kim was ultimately the force in Jimmy's life that compelled him to do the right thing"
And I'm apparently the only one who notices the disconnect here.
The finale doesn't work as an ending because there's too much plasticity with Kim's character. To me, it's pretty clear this lady has no idea what she actually wants out of life, her character is always just written to swerve and make the least predictable choice, so any declaration that things are "over" between her and Jimmy reads as a completely empty threat. The only way this relationship ends permanently is if Jimmy realizes that she really is bad for him, that trying to please someone this tempestuous and self-driven is only ever going to result in tying himself into knots. But in all likelihood, if/when a camera ever gets pointed at this duo again, he's probably going to continue to be a slave to her whims, even as it kills him.

i sometimes wonder what's up with kim and jimmy's go-to lie when they're doing scams being to pretend to be siblings. there are jokes to be made about it, yeah, whatever, but i do find it genuinely kind of interesting. like, why that form of relationship in particular? would performing a romantic relationship be too close to the truth? or does performing romance in a way most people would recognize as such just not come very naturally to them? would friends or coworkers or another type of family relationship just not feel like a "strong" enough connection for most people to really sell what they're going for? i feel like there has to be some kind of thematic connection here with kim being an only child vs jimmy's very turbulent relationship with his brother and how they're still able to act out such normal feeling sibling relationships between the two of them, how they seem kinda naturally drawn to doing it, but i just can't quite connect the dots here.

certain critiques of kim wexler as a character are frustrating because they are written by people who, despite loving breaking bad and better call saul, didn’t actually pay that much attention to kim or her arc, her dialogue, her backstory, or her anything, really. kim is a reserved and intense person to a fault; to understand her motivations and reactions to the events around her you need to actually pay attention to her as a character (which isn’t actually that hard, it’s television not rocket science) and you need to take notice of what she’s doing even when she’s not saying anything. it’s always very funny to me when people make assertions that there’s something un-feminist (not to say her character IS feminist, because i don’t think most media in general is “feminist” even when the women are well-written) about her arc or her role in bcs that basically amounts to them telling on themselves. they just didn’t pay attention to her and didn’t bother to look at her character or her motivations seriously. and it’s crazy to me that these people will come online and critique kim’s character while not remembering half of the scenes she was in alone or the nuances of her solo sub-plots.
another common variation of this type of ill-informed critique is people claiming kim only exists in relation to jimmy, the main character. because when chuck’s arc revolves around jimmy that’s normal, right, since jimmy is the titular character? but when kim’s arc purportedly revolves around jimmy (it really doesn’t, but we’re talking about people who straight up didn’t pay attention to kim’s scenes) it’s suddenly bad writing, or “not feminist”, or kim is simply a shallow character in a show where no main character is shallow.
ultimately kim acts as an unusual litmus test for whether or not people understand what actually makes female characters poorly written and flat, and what actually makes their relationships with men a disservice to their character vs. a component of their own arc. if YOU think kim has nothing going on outside of her relationship w jimmy all that tells me is you didn’t watch the show carefully enough or you simply checked out during most of her scenes. and that is well and truly on you!

In terms of like, shipping canon characters together, the only ones I really do is Luz and Amity, as well as Hunter and Willow, from The Owl House. Like I still do actively like romantic pairings in fiction, like Optimus Prime and Elita-1, or Jimmy and Kim from Better Call Saul, but I don't actively ship them in like...a BIG way like I used to. Again, outside of those TOH ships.
I think the thing that did me in was the fall of Starco in my eyes. Like, Starco was THE ship for me, you have to realize. It introduced me to shipping. The wide world of shipping. Through thick and thin, at my core was the idea of Star Butterfly and Marco Diaz kissing in my head. Even as other ships came and went, Starco was my go-to.
I think SvtFoE's fall was like...caused by both ends. Like, 100% Disney was awful in treating the show especially with it's last few episodes of season four. That was abysmal, it was like they were burning off what was, tmk, a pretty popular show at the time. The rapid week to week pace probably did not help how those final episodes were received. On the other hand...the world of the show was like, actively falling apart, in more ways than one. Magic was being corrupted for an ill defined reason, the shades of gray between Mewmans and Monsters was quickly shifting to a black-white inversion, characters were being ASSASSINATED in real time to serve the plot (Rhombulus, Moon, I am so so sorry for you two). The Magic Book of Spells —OH GOD THE IRL MAGIC BOOK OF SPELLS—so much of what was hinted there got like, next to nothing in the show itself. Why!?! Reynaldo was so nothing, and Seth of the Septarsis? WE NEVER EVEN SAW HIM!!
Someone I was falling around the time of the season four wrapping up kept posting criticisms that I kept shooting down personally—looking back, she was right. I just didn't know it. The show so quickly got wrapped up in making Starco endgame happen, it shoved plot and lore to the side. The revelation that Mewmans ARE humans who have simply been exposed to magic should have been a series wide revelation almost comparable to the reveal of Stanford or Garnet's nature as a fusion. Instead...it's offhandedly mentioned at the start of an episode as a joke. Seriously. And need we even TALK about the implications of the ending????
Yeh like...the show was such a train wreck. Worst part is, it was kinda amazing at first, and Starco was kinda building up to be a fun decon-recon of the main leads romance trope. It just got too obsessed with its own teen drama and that ultimately lead to a fumbled ending. Granted, dunno how much of it was Nefcy and her team's fault, and what was Disney rushing, but I hold both in equal blame.
Kinda devolved into a Star Vs rant, eh? Guess all I'm saying is I have a difficult relationship with the show, where Starco was a big part of my life and then all of a sudden wasn't for reasons really out of my control. Maybe that's why I turned to selfshipping lol.

*Reminder that Break up is being used loosely here and not all relationships may be romantic in nature
propaganda under cut:
Grace and Simon
No propaganda was submitted
Kim and Jimmy
"-basically what happens is theyre lawyers who work together and also pull lots of awful pranks and schemes on their enemies and gradually make each other worse. they get married so they wont have to testify against each other (but they do actually love each other its just not a conventional proposal). however kim realizes how awful shes become AND how awful jimmy has become (and how jimmy has become Saul Goodman, his criminal lawyer persona). they divorce and kim never appears in the breaking bad show. then after the events of breaking bad, once walter white is dead, saul is in hiding but hes caught. kim hears news of this and decides to come forward about the schemes they pulled that got someone killed. they reunite at jimmy's hearing and she visits him in jail."

My Top 10 Favorite Breaking Bad Universe Characters
1. Howard Hamlin - this one is kinda silly bc he is much less developed than other characters, but I can’t help it. His tragedy hits so hard, it took a character whom I didn’t really care about and made him my absolute #1 fave. Rest in peace Howard you deserved better🥺💔
2. Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman - Gilligould really took a look at their whacky comic relief lawyer in Breaking Bad, and said “hmm, what if we made him the absolute most complex and fascinating character in our entire fictional universe”. And then they did.🙌
3. Jesse Pinkman - God his story hurts. He had one of the best hearts in the whole show, yet he suffered more than ANY other character. His character goes from loveably silly to absolutely heart shattering. I hope he found some peace in Alaska.❤️
4. Walter White - I just can’t help but love this horrible horrible man. He’s goofy and ridiculous, but also insane and egotistical in the most entertaining way. What a great protagonist, he’s compelling when I am rooting for him and compelling when I am praying for his downfall.
5. Chuck McGill - IMO, the best antagonist in the whole BrBa universe. The Jimmy vs Chuck storyline was TOP TIER, Chicanery was a masterpiece of an episode, Lantern and Winner are just dripping with tragedy and sorrow and what-if's. And it's all because of Chuck. Rip Chuck, you may have been a prick but damn if you didn’t make this show the brilliant piece of television that it was.
6. Kim Wexler - no character gives me more mixed feelings than Kim. I always liked her in the early seasons, then I despised her in s6a, then my heart broke for her in s6b, and now I retroactively have so much more love and sorrow for her earlier self because there was so much good there and she could have been so much better and GOD Kim is such a tragic, amazing, well written character.
7. Skyler White - oh my god, my poor wife. You deserved so much better than what the audience gave you all those years. You were a queen, and so right about everything, and I am so sorry I didn’t see it before but now I will defend you until my dying day❤️❤️❤️
8. Lalo Salamanca - he’s just so insane and silly and entertaining. He steals every scene he’s in, and in my opinion added some desperately needed charm and charisma to the cartel side of the show. Legit was rooting for him against Gus, even though he killed my boy Howie and I knew he was doomed to fail.
8. Nacho Varga - Like Jesse, he went through so much despite having one of the most decent hearts on the show, and it all culminated in such a tragic yet powerful death scene. And I love love love the idea of the curse of Nacho Varga dooming Gus, the Salamancas, and the Cartel for their sins. His ghost looms over Breaking Bad, and makes both shows much richer as a result.
9. Cheryl Hamlin - she fascinates me, we see very little of her and yet I loved her scenes and want to know more. I'll also not tolerate Cheryl slander, we don't know what was going on in her and Howard’s marriage, and in the end she stood up for him when nobody else did.
10. Mike Ehrmantraut - to be honest, I'm not the biggest Mike fan. Not because there is anything wrong with his character per se, but I find it a bit annoying how the fandom idolizes him as a loveable grandpa/moral criminal when he actually is kind of horrible and not all that different from Walter. That being said, I do love what they were going for in BCS, showing his slow corruption as he keeps going back into the world of crime to avoid dealing with his grief for his son's death, culminating in that amazing scene where the show calls him on his hypocrisy and Manual Varga tells him 'you gangsters and your justice, you are all the same'. I just wish it was explored more explicitly in the narrative and fandom the way that Walt and Jimmy's moral corruptions are.

Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....Thanks...
this is such a hard question because i’ve gone through so many phases of obsessing over pieces of media in my life, and sometimes it’s really hard for me to parse which characters are lasting favorites and which are just part of that phase. but i’ll try! keep in mind, lots of sentimentality ahead…
and this is in no particular order.
1. wei wuxian (the untamed)
ok so this kind of goes along with a previous post i made discussing my feelings of the mdzs book vs. the untamed. when i first watched the untamed at the recommendation of a friend, it was so unlike anything i’d ever seen before. and wei wuxian was so unlike any protagonist i’d ever encountered before. his determination to do what’s right no matter what others do, but also not being above experiencing doubt and uncertainty about his decisions, really touched me. also of course his carefree attitude toward life is something i repeatedly try and fail to achieve myself. it might also have to do with xiao zhan’s acting choices, but he really touched me as a character. it’s hard for me to say if the wwx of the book did the same organically because i read it over a long period of time after watching the show, so im just going to count the untamed version.
2. shizuku tsukishima (whisper of the heart)
this one is probably pretty niche but allow me to give my most heartfelt recommendation of whisper of the heart, my favorite ghibli movie and one of my favorite films of all time. shizuku is the protagonist of the film. she’s a young girl, probably about 14, and so far, her life has been defined by satisfying her imagination by always reading fiction, immersing herself in stories. inspired by the love interest of the film seiji, she decides she wants to try to be a writer. the film is kind of like a slice of life over a few months of this time, and we see shizuku struggle with perfectionism and wanting to follow her dreams and inability to take criticism, etc. i rarely cry over movies but i cried at this one because i had just never felt so seen by a character. everyone please watch whisper of the heart!🙏
3. prince zuko (avatar: the last airbender)
i think 50% of the reason he’s on here is sentimentality since avatar was a show i watched so much throughout my childhood and of course again more recently with its resurgence in popularity, but also what can i say? his character arc is unmatched. i won’t rehash the details. i will say uncle iroh would probably be here instead if we knew any more about his past because he’s off-screen journey is just so fascinating to me.
4. percy jackson (percy jackson & the 12 olympians)
PURE sentimentality but ya know….also im only considering this character how he exists in the original series. he kind of lost me in heroes of olympus. but yeah percy jackson was the first character that really impacted me back when i was 9, and i think i still carry that impact to this day. i also think the original series still holds up reading it as an adult.
5. kim wexler (better call saul)
kim nation!!! reveal yourselves!! i watched better call saul a little over a year ago and damn, it’s so rare to find such interesting, well-developed, flawed within reason female characters in a tv drama like this. her intelligence and her tendency to get carried away with jimmy don’t contradict each other but work together. her emotional journey….UGH!! kim x post-prison jimmy, who else hopes?
6. xie lian (tgcf/heaven official’s blessing)
so this one is new and i’m not completely sure the deep impression will last yet, but i’ll explain. when i first read tgcf about two years ago, i kind of skimmed because it was so long, and the feelings i had toward xie lian were…not super favorable. i was kind of bored by him and….i saw him as a lesser wei wuxian. AND I WAS WRONG!!! because i reread tgcf finally a couple of months ago, no skimming, really thinking about what i was reading and now i love him. his journey from optimistic prince who had never before suffered to carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders to nearly collapsing under that weight but despite all odds, pulling through and once again finding that optimism, or at least hope. it touched me so much this time around!!! also i don’t know why i thought he was boring first time around. this guy is funny as hell! anyway, lots of lessons to apply to my own life and whatnot.
7. ninth doctor (doctor who)
guys….hear me out. notice im not saying “the doctor” because i think most of doctor who is just nonsense. but that one season with the ninth doctor (and okay i like the tenth doctor’s seasons well enough, or i did really love them. less so these days…). so much potential. so when i say he’s one of my favorite characters ever, i accept that it’s mostly the version of the doctor that lives in my head and isn’t subject to the bad writing decisions made later in the show. it’s a lot of sentimentality, but i am really fascinated by this traumatized alien guy who just lost his entire people, finding himself devolving into more violent, unforgiving tendencies, but meeting rose, jack, whoever else along the way is able to remind him of not who he was but who he could be. of course doctor who is forever ongoing though so character development can only go too far lol.
8. nozue (old-fashioned cupcake)
this is also brand new so not sure if lasting because i only just read and watched ofc, but man. this guy’s journey from being defeatist about getting older and turning 40, being afraid of trying anything new, to allowing himself to experience new things, one of those things being falling in love! his whole concept of using regret as fuel for happiness, transmitting that idea to togawa who transmits it back to nozue later!! ahhh!! so like my love for this character might actually just be love for the entire story but i can’t not mention it every five seconds rn so….
9. isabel archer (portrait of a lady)
so this is the protagonist of henry james’s portrait of a lady, which i finally finished reading last month. and gosh! well the book itself was amazing, but i was especially touched by isabel’s character, mainly because she just felt so realistic. her motivations, her goals, her shift, her sorrows, they all feel earned, creating an incredibly vivid character that i think most people can find something in there to relate to, especially other women who have always been told they are clever and imaginative and yet find themselves struggling internally to live up to those expectations.
10. natasha rostova (war and peace)
it’s been years since i read war and peace in my university freshman seminar, so it’s hard for me to speak on the details of why exactly this character is here. but also it’s no surprise because this is a character that continues to be the star of russian literature. what i can say, she’s another bright, carefree character (clearly symbolizing aspects of russian culture but even beyond that) who it’s impossible not to feel deeply connected to. she goes through some pretty life-altering stuff in war and peace (everyone listen to the musical called natasha, pierre, and the great comet of 1812 for those details!!) and as the reader, you just really feel for her. idk man she still stands out in my mind, but also this is also much thanks to the musical i just mentioned above.
i kind of came up with these on the spot so like…who knows how accurate this is, but i like to talk about the things i like so sue me. thank you for the question though!!

Top 5 favorite Better Call Saul eps?
Ok this is hard because I've only ("only") watched the show twice, and binged it, so a lot of episodes tend to run together in my mind. But these are the ones that come to mind for me:
Chicanery (3x05) - I feel like this is generally considered one of the best eps, if not THE best ep? It has everything. Heartbreaking Jimmy vs Chuck, amazing Chuck monologue, ride or die McWexler, Huell!!! So excellent.
Bad Choice Road (5x09) - that opening!!! This episode is so emotional.
Switch (2x01) - I mean, half the episode is Jimmy and Kim running a scam, and then finally ~officially getting together, and that adorable tooth brushing scene.
Winner (4x10) - DEVASTATING. Mike killing Werner makes me cry, that's an incredible scene. And then the gut punch ending with Jimmy pulling one over on Kim. And I love the flashback in this one too.
Saul Gone (6x13) - this is my somewhat reluctant fifth choice. I love it as the series finale but I honestly think that scene on the prison bus is one of the only bad scenes in the entire show lol it just doesn't work for me at all. But Jimmy's confession and the absolute PERFECTION of the final scenes with Kim outweigh it. Makes me ugly cry every time I watch it, what more could I want?

i think something kim has always believed is that people don't get what they deserve. bad things happen to good people, good things happen to bad people, she knows this from experience. you don't get what you deserve you just get what you get. or what you take. but i also think that a lot of her motivation, as a lawyer and just as a person, is the belief that she can, at least in some small ways, change this. and there are noble examples of this belief, like doing pro bono work to give people the legal representation they deserve but can't afford, and there are... less noble examples of this. taking "justice" into her own hands in a way that really is just petty revenge, because she's convinced she knows what's right, and that she should take it upon herself to make it so. this belief that people should get what they deserve is something jimmy has too, but pretty specifically just that kim should get what she deserves. like mesa verde. "i did it for kim" "she earned it and she needs it". and she may feel uncomfortable with this and object to it, but she does deep down believe it too. she feels entitled to have the things she worked for, which is fair and understandable, but also not necessarily how things work, legally speaking. and that's where part of the show's themes about legality vs morality, and how it starts to become apparent that these don't always line up for kim. she's ultimately okay with overlooking a felony if it ends up benefitting her in a way she perceives as fair. and later, she's beyond enthusiastic about ruining someone's life if she believes it's deserved.

Oh damn you're on THE episode.
The punchline
PS does the "not interested in this post" button show up when you click on posts? Because mine's missing for some reason.
Mines not showing up either huh
Maybe that’s only for “reccomended” posts?
And THE episode im even more hype now
Yeah I don't like this at all. "Not interested" is a pretty damn important button.
Na fr
We need to let people know we do NOT wanna see ts in our feeds

Went to @changes on tumblr and this is not listed in their updates so it must be a programming issue.
Aww that stickers super cute!
Tumblr being ass whats new
😭
So like... can you guess how this episode is going to end? It's pretty heavily telegraphed ahead of time, but I don't wanna spoil it.
Im assuming howard tweaks tf out😭
Oh good it's fixed already. ^_^
I feel so bad for him this show has like no bad guys everyone is bad😭
Kim is the only good person
Ok I won't tell you. But personally I don't feel bad for Howard. Not even by the end of this episode. Like yes, Jimmy also manipulated Irene for personal gain, but 1. If things had worked as planned, Jimmy's lie would have benefitted Irene. And 2. Jimmy felt bad immediately when Irene got hurt and I think it would take Howard months or years to realize dragging out the settlement against his client's interest was... like... evil.
That’s true but still like😭😭 he was being kind of held down by chuck and some politics stuff held him down even mode
More
Like no matter what happens next, the client got their money because of what WM did. It's an unpopular opinion but I say the ends justify the means. Kim is not a "good" person, because no one who wants any real power is "good". But she is a WORTHY person.
She definitely is I fw kim and nacho the most
Also the old man I forget his name rn
Mike
Yeah I like him too
Hes probably the most “honest” person in the show
True but that's exactly what I dislike so much about this guy. You just don't get to be "slow on the uptake" when other people have put their lives in your hands. Howard isn't a malicious person, but everything he does is "just business" and that's kind of worse. Wall Street kills more people than the cartels. That's all I'm saying.
Chuck abused his authority but he at least HAD a moral worldview. Howard is the avatar of the phrase "if you stand for nothing you'll fall for anything".
Mike I'm neutral about. He's cool and funny but at the end of the day he's doing the same thing Walt did of putting his family in danger while keeping them in the dark about how he's providing for them. Fans just give him a pass because he's less of a shouting idiot than Walt was.
Very stoic mike is
Also I agree with the howard thing
Idk abt the cartel vs wall street though I’ve never seen wall street execution videos😭😭🤣🤣
Im thinking like what do I watch when I finish this??
No but I see homeless people every time I get groceries lol
Anyway the answer is Westworld. You're watching Westworld after Better Call Saul.
Omg I loved that scooby doo episode
That’s a great suggestion ty!!
Robots and cowboys truly the best
What Scooby Doo episode?
PS It's a pretty big part of my headcannon that Kim was dealing with a pregnancy scare off screen in S6. And that's one reason she's being such a freak.
Mostly just cus it was my prediction before the season aired and I refuse to accept defeat.
I’ve been there before dw I salute you for staying strong 🫡
Theres a scooby doo episode called dry rock gulch
A lot of whats new scooby doo was just ripping off old movies and shows
lol. Wait are you referencing Scooby Doo just because that episode had a western theme? I'm confused.
No the episode dry rock gulch
Is based on westworld
The wild west animatronic attraction
Also
HOWARD OMFG NO😭😭😭😭
Heh heh heh heh heh
Don’t heh heh heh me Im in distress🤣😭
Just HAD to confront them, didn't he?
Seriously tho. DOESN'T EVEN CONSIDER THAT WM DID THIS FOR THE OLD PEOPLE. I mean they didn't, but dude before you start ranting about how everyone is so mean to you consider that you were doing something shitty and you needed to be stopped.
He did he stood on business
Yeah he was being shitty but like
Idk man
Was he shitty yeah
But got damn😭
People have been telling him for a full year that he's in a bubble and he needs to pull his head out his ass. And still his final words are "But what about MEE?" I'm done with this guy.
Lucky for you hes dead
If he had said something about "I didn't realize people hated me this much; maybe I need to do some real soul searching about my priorities or my ability to empathize with other people or the way I perceive myself as a victim" I'd be on board with everyone else that this was some great tragedy. But being completely oblivious to the problems of everyone else around you until that problem literally walks in and shoots you? That's just funny. Some tall dark and handsome guy shows up and Jimmy and Kim are reacting visibly in horror, read the damn room: Don't try to get the last word in edgewise, run idiot. I'm totally blaming the victim.
Understand, I didn't actually hate Howard before that scene. He's a scumbag but all the lawyers in this show are kind of scumbags. The difference is I respect Jimmy cus he understands why people hate him. But that final monologue... it's just... it's gonna be a no for me dawg. I'm not saying the character or that scene isn't extremely nuanced, but to me that final interaction can be summarized as a demonstration of how badly Howard hasn't learned from his mistakes and never will.
No howard was a great character throughout the show I don’t think anyone was weak it seems like everyone has their place
From the film crew to the vet to the gun guy we met with mile
Mike
I think Howard is a well-written character, I just think he did his job a little too well as a scapegoat. Someone needed to die in S6 and I'm just glad it wasn't Kim.
Kim spinoff when??
I stopped at the end of ep 8 gonna watch the final 2 tmr
Yeah my whole blog is for demanding a Kim sequel. I'll send you my outline when you're done with the show.

Because I LOVE S6E8 for finally, finally giving us a taste of Kim being directly involved in the criminal world. But I hate it for giving us only a sample-serving of it and then the show ends. Why Vince and Peter gotta blue ball me like that?! It's not really a problem with BCS because at the end of the day this is Jimmy's story not hers. But the absence of Kim Wexler screaming and crying and saying she doesn't want to pull the trigger content is a problem with the larger BB franchise. We got like 20 scenes of Walt doing that. I love Westworld (among other reasons) because it starts with a woman who wouldn't hurt a fly being forced to play a violent game, and the show actually follows up on what happens after.
Jan 14 7:18 PM
I just think a cowboy robot world sounds cool
Im easily impressed🤣
Jan 15 4:51 AM
Im assuming frings gay?
Jan 15 4:05 PM
Oh did you not watching Breaking Bad? Yeah Gus hates the Salamancas because Hector shot Gus's boyfriend Max in the head early in Gus's career.
Jan 15 5:28 PM
No I’ve never seen breaking bad
I prefer BCS because that one has the romance subplot. But I actually think BB is the better written series.
Jan 16 6:16 AM
Idk if Ill watch it tbh It never grabbed my eye
Jan 16 8:42 AM
Why did BCS grab your attention?
Jan 16 3:27 PM
Kims feet
No I just feel like I can relate a lot to the chuck and jimmy dynamic
Im like the jimmy of my family unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you view things

Out of our four usual fronters, I (Howie) have been around a lot lately, and it's just kind of funny to observe why. Especially when thinking about cognitive sympathy vs empathy and how it's distributed across the system.
I mean... Doc is high emotion/low empathy, so of course, she needs an assistant like Kim who is (repressed) low emotion/high empathy. So it makes sense that Manny, who is high emotion/high empathy, needs someone like me who is low emotion/low empathy. None of this being stuff we did on purpose, of course--just stuff our brain automatically had figured out on its own.
It also makes sense, then, why I'm the assistant out of the two of us who has been around more than Kim. Kim's emotions eat her up late at night, and just kind of fester the rest of the time. Especially when it's Jimmy (in our partner system) who is distressed by something. Sometimes, her strong desire to fix everything and care really hard is great to have! But I guess that's just the thing... lately, it's had us paralyzed. So then it's Howie to the rescue, I guess, because I honestly am not as phased by anything happening as Kim or anyone else is. Even when it's my boyfriend (Jason) struggling, it doesn't seem to bother me very much.
But, on the other hand, I do still care. Which is really the answer to the nagging question of "What am I even here for, when we have people like The Ladies who could do this job as well?" Because they can't do it *just* as well as I can. I am mostly Schizoid with some Cluster B traits, but it's really mild. The Ladies, on the other hand, are much stronger Cluster B traits--some might even say the worst* of us, in that regard. However, that makes it harder for them to care on the back end, as well as the front end, and a lot of them wind up unable to do anything with our problems because of it.
I don't know if this makes sense, but... For example: Vivienne is probably the next closest person to doing what I do. She's pretty textbook ASPD and is really good at stuff when she wants to do something. The trouble is, a lot of the time, she just doesn't want to. She gets bored and drained so fast. Me, though--I do whatever I want to do, but I actually *want* to do things and help. I still get bored a little easy, but not if there's sufficient enough dopamine involved for me. Viv gets bored of stuff even if she likes it and wants to do it; that's one of the hardest parts for her. It makes her way more impulsive than me, and that's saying something.
I dunno why I'm writing all of this out, except to help remind myself why I'm stuck here a lot lately. Because I've got just the right recipe of brain parts to tackle things right now and not get overwhelmed. I think I should be proud of myself for that. It's funny how much "character flaws" can actually benefit you when you learn to stop being so ashamed of your neurotype. I still have my struggles, but it's far from always being a bad thing.
