idk if there's actually been an uptick in AI generated fics since CA:BNW came out, or if I'm just noticing it more since people have been talking about it, but. weird and a bit demoralizing that even on the one site where you absolutely cannot monetize your "content," people are still putting out this slop.

#not naming names but. had the experience of seeing a new fic in the sambucky tag tonight #reading it. thinking it was kind of weird. running it through an ai checker and getting a 100% positive #(and ai checkers aren't fully reliable! but for Various Reasons i feel confident this fic is ai)#and then a non sambucky fic i had subscribed to and was sort of enjoying #that also had some red flags and came back with some sections highly rated for ai content and some not #and idk. that one i think isn't fully ai but possibly partially generated or highly ai edited. not going to ask bc it's not worth it.#like... do ppl just not like writing? are you that desperate for the validation of comments and kudos? idgi.
