“...Hi, I’d like to make an appointment with Doctor Patrick, please...”
He sat back against the chair on the balcony, looking at the card in his hand.
“Name and date of birth?”
“Satoshi Edgeworth. First name spelled ‘S-A-T-O-S-H-I. Last name is spelled ‘E--D-G-E-W-O-R-T-H. My birthday is November 1st, 20XX.”
It was quiet on the other end as Satoshi heard the fast typing by the receptionist on the other end.
Tumblr media
He was grateful that Edward was still passed out in the room. This was probably the first time on their whole trip that Satoshi had gotten up before his husband. Hm...
“...Mr. Edgeworth? You’re already scheduled an appointment with Doctor Patrick on the Monday after Thanksgiving for a CT scan. Is everything okay?”
Ah...
“Not sure. I was wondering if I could just come in for a consult and maybe an X-RAY? I’m getting some pain in places I normally haven’t gotten pain in before. So I just...Am a bit concerned.”
“Absolutely. Does Thursday at 2:15 work for for you next week?”
Tumblr media
“That’d be perfect. Thank you.”
Hanging up, Satoshi sunk down in the chair and put his hand over his eyes. “If it’s not one thing it’s another....”

CVS Pharmacy Issues
I've been having multiple problems with my area (Maryland) CVS pharmacies and I'm wondering if there's something going on or if it's me? I feel like I need a reality check at this point.
Issues include: (1) saying they've faxed me something (like a prior auth) but I'm not receiving their fax. I'm receiving other faxes, however. (Like those "this person indicated you're their PCP and they just received their COVID vaccine" faxes from CVS, which I always find amusing as a psychiatrist.) I've confirmed with them multiple times that they have my correct number. I am using Doximity. Anyone have problems like this?
(2) telling my patients that I never sent a script to them, even though I prescribe everything electronically and it's clear to me that it's been sent over them electronically but they say "it's not in our system" (this is, to be fair, quite rare)
(3) insane phone wait times and being told 3 different things about why the medication can't be filled until at the very end it's some other problem that's never mentioned before
I've so far been just prescribing to whatever pharmacy my patients prefer, but I'm wondering if I should encourage them picking up their medications through a different company.
