do you have a favorite fic that you've written (or a favorite part of one of them)? If so, what is it, and how come? :)

My favorite is probably oleander tbh! oleander is a very personal fic as it was the first time i really examined my ocd and played with the idea of addiction. I'm super happy with a lot of what i've written - hubris is absolutely one of my faves - but oleander is my baby. Below the cut i'll put my favorite part (cw for suicidal thoughts), which is also one of my favorite things I've ever written.

He doesn't want to be here anymore. He doesn't want to feel all this, this fear, this anguish, this despair. He doesn't want to feel anything!

“I want to die,” he sobs against her, unable to keep it in any longer. “I'm so tired! I can't do this anymore!”

She makes some sort of sound, hugging Jimmy even tighter. “You're so brave,” she whispers. “I'm here. Please keep trying.”
