I Hope You Know

Originally this was only supposed to be five parts but then I said - what if angst so I added a sixth panel

I've been listening to Restoration on spotify since it dropped and it has altered my brain chemistry

Once again, shoutout to my Council of Feral Gays TM for letting me bounce ideas off of them (give them psychic damage from angst) and yap about symbolism and themes and hidden design choices and all of that.

A popular The Walking Dead spinoff show has become a global hit since dropping on Netflix. The hit AMC post-apocalyptic drama series The Walking Dead debuted on October 31, 2010, and became a global sensation, spanning 11 seasons and 177 episodes. The show follows the character of Rick Grimes, a deputy sheriff who awakens from a coma during a zombie apocalypse, and leads a group of survivors, as they try to stay alive in a hostile world. The Walking Dead cast is epic and sprawling, with Rick and Michonne among the most popular characters.

My thoughts on the Travel Season premiere:

I have just finished my Travel Season watch of the two new episodes and wow. I am in awe with this show and the aesthetic they have chosen with it.

For a Worth It fan, it truly does not feel like a copy and paste, but as though it is Worth It's mature, older sibling. The vibes are very calm and peaceful. The show itself focuses very much on the importance of connections and experiences in new environments with the people you share them with. Which leads to these organic funny moments as though they are not trying.

The concept of The Brick (aka the camera) as a staple to the whole show's aesthetic is so smart and cute? Not only does it provide creative graphics/transitions to add in the post production, but it gives the team physical copies of their memories on this trip. Even if this trip is ultimately a work trip. The Brick is just a nice little touch to the show, and reasons like this is why I just love Watcher because they think about every small detail when it comes to the shows they produce.

Jared Sosa also deserves a huge round of applause because not only did he produce the amazing new Watcher intro animation BUT he performed and wrote the Travel Season theme song? AND it's amazing?! Like put this shit on Spotify and I would listen to that song on repeat! It's so good and just truly fits the overall vibes. Just well done Jared.

Also, the boys are back? Like how can you be mad about that?? Could not be me.

Steven, Andrew, Adam, Lizzie, Brittney, Annie, and every person with their hands in Travel Season: y'all have made a wonderful show that is right up my alley... and it could truly become my new all time favorite Watcher show- Weird Wonderful World, you better watch your back👀

I am so excited for the rest of this season and hopefully the future for this show!

WIP Wednesday (4/16) | Vampire Andrew AU (Part 241)

ANDREW

Tuesday crawls towards Andrew, a skittish and hesitant thing. When it finally brushes up against his leg like a friendly stray, he wakes with a hunger deep in his soul. It was like this the last time too. Those few morning hours before he first put his mouth on the oh so tantalizing Kevin Day were perhaps the worst ones, craving-wise, for Andrew. The anticipation had him raring and chomping at the bit for a taste. He'd woken like this the first Saturday after they made their deal. And here he is again, using all his willpower to not drag Neil out of his dorm in the middle of the night— Technically it is Tuesday morning, but it's so early only Wymack and the birds are awake.

Regardless, this hunger is an all-consuming one but it holds a promise. Today Andrew was finally going to get to jam his teeth into Neil for the first time. He sighs through his nose at the thought. Eager as he is to sample, there's no way Neil can taste as good as Kevin. Andrew just doesn't think it's possible. If he's honest, comparing the two would be akin to comparing apples and oranges. 

Or perhaps a double chocolate cake versus a strawberry milkshake. The two are completely different indulgences, yet still delectable to someone with a sweet tooth. And Neil does smell sweet. Sickeningly so in the locker rooms after practice. Andrew has been wondering since they met if he and Kevin are something special, if the two of them somehow share something unique in their DNA that makes them so irresistible.

In fact he has been counting down the hours since Neil stepped out of this dorm on Saturday afternoon. A few minutes after Neil had gone, Andrew go the bright idea to hop into Seth Gordon's tiny mind to see Neil's reaction from his roommate's point of view. But he quickly yanked himself out of that mess because Seth was so preoccupied with the woman on his lap he didn't even notice Neil come in. Andrew shudders and vows to never repeat that experience again.

He supposes that's what he gets for looking into someone's head without their permission. However it didn't stop him from dropping in on Renee a moment later, when he heard the door across the hall open and shut a second time. He watched through her kind eyes as she welcomed Neil into the girls' dorm and Matt checked him over for grievous Andrew-induced injuries. He found none of course. 

Neil's explanation about their 'disagreement'— what a funny little word to use after being kidnapped and drugged against his will and dragged into a dorm by a vampire. Nonetheless it was much better than the alternative people tended to use when they failed to see eye-to-eye with Andrew— was a nice touch. It was obvious the upperclassmen weren't buying it, but Neil slapped 40% off stickers on the story and they took it anyway. Possibly they knew it was a bargain, that believing it would be easier than figuring out Andrew and Neil's real issues.

Anyway, it's Tuesday— though only barely. Andrew's phone says it's just past three in the morning and he is lying in his bed, almost shaking as he imagines his fangs piercing Neil's flesh. He can picture the face Neil might make, the sound that might fall out of him, the way he'll taste. Fleetingly Andrew wonders if this is how Kevin feels the morning before a game and nearly gags at the thought. 

Speaking of Kevin, Andrew turns to his side to look down at the bottom bunk across from him. The striker is curled in on himself a bit, the way he normally sleeps. Like he's expecting a rude awakening, a kick to the ribs, or both. Andrew watches him breathe for a little while before rolling around and trying to make himself fall back asleep. He's nearly managed when it catches it. It's difficult with so many peoples' dreaming playing like a dozen TV channels all at once, but there's a whimper.

At the familiar, pitiful noise, Andrew leans unwisely over the railing on his bunk to stare down at Kevin, its source. He waits for a moment and hears it yet again. He frowns down at the human before pulling his thoughts to the front and pasting them over everything else.

He's having a nightmare. Of course he is.

Andrew watches for only a few seconds before deciding to intervene. He promised to protect Kevin from Riko, did he not? What sort of vampire would he be if he left Kevin alone in this terrible dream? After tossing himself down from his bunk, Andrew lands silently on his feet beside Kevin's bed and shakes his shoulder. "Kevin, wake up. Now."
