A note, because not everyone knows this: if you're driving and another driver flashes their brights at you, this is a signal to be on alert and slow down. There may be debris in the road, a cop out of sight, or an animal crossing ahead of you. (Or, alternatively, your brights are on and they're getting blinded.) Whatever the reason, it's a signal that you need to focus and reduce speed. And possibly turn your own brights off.

drawing a dragon is a high stakes operation that nets you the exact same pedantic comments as dinosaur art but for a totally made up animal

#there's a certain type of. i want to say 'dragon artist community' at the risk of sounding slightly insane #that is really big on 'proper/realistic anatomy' for dragons and gets really intense about what that entails #but their idea of what makes something dragony is like not really any more realistic #there was one i was in that was like really intense about dragons 'looking like dragons' and not having traits from other animals. which #talking tag

You know that in "Flow" they have used real animal sounds, but it was a very difficult task: when Coïc-Gallas (the sound designer) tried to record his cat, it remained completely silent for two weeks because it didn't like the microphone.

I stumbled across @arythusa’s The Glass Scientists webcomic early this year and fell in love, so I animated a little scene for fun 🧪

I built a Front and 3/4 Front Jekyll and Hyde rig (fun fact, they’re one rig!) and animated them in Toon Boom Harmony, HalluciLanyon spawning and getting harpooned is a tweaked version of that rig, and him getting bodied was drawn in Procreate. The layout was also made in Harmony. The audio is from the movie Drop Dead Fred.

I used the comic itself as the ‘model sheet’ to build the rig off of- used various panels for their heights and body parts in place of character, hand, mouth, etc sheets, so many pieces are pulled right from the pages. I also got to experiment with compositing, which was fun!

The art and story of this comic hooked me and I’m so excited to see where it goes! ❣️
