from the ask game, for Danny/Red
🍊 ~ What is your ocs ultimate goal in life? What do they do to get there and how does this contribute to the story?
Danny's initial ultimate goal in life was simply to build one on his own terms. He'd moved out, rejecting his parents' financial control as much as he reasonably could. Danny had been subjected to their emotional neglect and apathy but still held under their thumbs by threatening to remove his access to money for a long, long time, but as an adult he was able to push back and get free. So initially, his ultimate goal is literally just to figure out who he is if he isn't Ryan's Brother, because that's all he was ever allowed to be.
For a long time, of course, his ultimate goal is just to survive. Whatever it takes. However much he has to destroy himself. As long as he stays alive. He couldn't even have told you what he was hoping to stay alive long enough to DO. After the first couple of years, escape stopped being any kind of real consideration or hope. He just didn't want to die in those woods in Alberta.
Some secret part of him maintained the hope that he'd see Ryan again.
His goal shifts, after freedom, to finding a way to get out from what Bram made of him. It's a mirror to his early attempts to build himself away from his parents, of course - he has to rebuild the shattered husk Bram left into a version of Danny that knows how to live, not just survive.
He nearly makes it, too.
Then we're back to sheer survival. This time with the flavor of needing to survive because he has to keep Ryan alive. He knows that if he dies, that Ryan won't last much longer, that Bram will get tired of him, that Ryan will be slaughtered. So he stays alive pretty much only so that he can keep Ryan alive until someone saves them.
And then... finally...
His ultimate goal is to build his life with Nate. One free of chains, free of isolated cabins in the woods, free of living in constant pain and fear. He wants to build himself without Bram one more time, only this time permanently. He and Nate create their warm, loving life together.
Danny's ultimate goal is to make absolutely damn sure that Bram couldn't ruin him completely, that he can still have the life he wanted even if he lost five years of his life along the way.
Danny's stubborn determination is a big throughline in his story. He doesn't always read that way because of how thoroughly beaten down and destroyed he gets, but there is always a spark inside of him that refuses to die. There is always some small still voice that demands that he keep breathing even when he has started to think there's no point to it any longer.

Justice League Dark being all worried because an ancient and magically powerful pharaoh is going to awaken to his past life memories soon and could usher in a new age of darkness if he isn't stopped.
Tucker, said pharaoh, gains his past life memories and magical power, and ignores it in favor of continuing his internship at Wayne Tech.
Part 2
Wonder Woman frowned. “What are you saying?”
Constantine growled. “I’m saying that if we don’t find this thing fast…. It could bring in a new age of darkness. And trust me, you don’t want to find out what that could mean.”
Wonder Woman turned to Zatanna. “How dangerous is this thing? And how did this happen?”
Zatanna shook her head, also looking worried and confused. “I’m not entirely sure. However, Constantine and I did some spells and we talked to some other psychics, who have all said the same thing. Someone out there in the world will soon gain their past life’s memories and magical power, and with it, they will have the knowledge and capabilities to bring death and chaos to this world. We need to stop them.”
Wonder Woman nodded. “Tell me what we need to do. We must stop this person before anything could happen!”
————
“Wait, but didn’t we already know that you’re the reincarnation of a past pharaoh?” Danny said, staring at him in bafflement through the screen. “This isn’t anything new.”
Tucker rolled his eyes. “I know! Like damn, couldn’t I have given these powers in high school?”
“Still wouldn’t get bitches though,” Sam said dryly, not even looking up from where she was trimming her plants.
“Hey!” Tucker complained.
Danny smirked. “Maybe you could say he’s a…. Late bloomer?”
He chortled as they both groaned. Sam picked up her flowers and placed them under her desk to protect them from Danny’s awful puns with a shake of her head. Tucker just gave a long sigh.
Tucker was sullen. “I mean… it’s cool and all, but I don’t need them, y’know? And for some reason, I have voices in my head telling me to start the apocalypse now.”
Sam and Danny stared at him with varying degrees of unimpressed and concern. “Well? Are you?” Sam asked, raising an eyebrow.
Tucker snorted. “Hell no. You know how much I get paid at Wayne Enterprises? I get paid buckets for only an hour a day to write up some software and then I can spend the rest of the time on games. There’s no way I’m going to waste my time on Armageddon when I can make money.”
Danny beamed. “That’s the spirit! Do you want me to come over to exorcise the voices in your head? They’re probably like… ghosts or something, right?”
“Nah, it’s alright. Jazz is going to come over to help. And if it’s insanity from drinking Gotham water, then she’s definitely more qualified than you guys.”
Danny nodded. “Makes sense.”
Sam chuckled to herself. “Who knew that the world could be saved with a billionaire’s money? Oh, wait, I did because—!”
Both boys groaned and settled in for another rant about the ethics of billionaires. Not that they disagreed, but still.

Given how Miracle City is, wouldn't Manny look at the hero/villain dynamic, age difference, and similar powers, and just assume that Vlad is Danny's dad. The longer until Manny asks about it, the funnier it'd get.
HE WOULD. It's also funnier considering that's the most devastating thing you could say to Danny I think. Like if it wasn't Manny who's saying it he would've been so offended he'd launch him into space
The topic was never brought up at all (Vlad isn't an active threat nowadays and Manny only knew him because of past recollections from Danny and the others) so I can imagine Manny just sat with that assumption until one day he gets to visit Danny's parents' house and makes some offhand remark about his dad. Danny gets confused and asks what he means
Manny says smth like "are we supposed to be careful around him or is he retired now"
Danny: who do you think my dad is
Manny: is Vlad not your dad?

Danny is plopped into Gotham via Clockwork because he needs a vacation and a way to vent his energy which is building up because of a growth spurt. Danny in true Fenton fashion finds an underground group of meta teens and kids, who just want to live a normal life, and decides to join them in throwing huge underground raves where everyone could vent out their powers however they wanted as long as someone kept a look out for the bats or rouges. Well one night Danny is on lookout and sees the bats. He doesn't know what to do so he immediately runs in, smashes a bottle of soda on the floor and yells "IT'S THE FURRIES! SCATTER!" and just as Batman arrives everyone runs in a different direction. Danny just straight up turns invisible and phases through the floor in panic.
Me: *quickly scrolling down to save to drafts and answer*
Also me: *sees “IT’S THE FURRIES! SCATTER!”*
That made me laugh a lot lol. It’s such a silly prompt, I love it so much. It’s such a vibe. I have nothing to add, it’s perfect.

Death’s Gentle Touch
@demonic0angel thank you for letting me write this.
Ps. This is not a dead silent ship but a dead on main ship. I am way too much of a dead tired, dead on main and dead serious fan🫣, so..... Srry😇
Danny hadn’t planned on staying in Gotham for long. The city was overwhelming, a swirling mess of emotions, crime, and shadows that never seemed to sleep. But something about it called to him—a faint pull in the back of his mind, like the restless murmur of ghosts who hadn’t yet crossed his path.
And then he started noticing them.
The kids.
Each one had a presence that whispered of death’s touch. Not full-on ghostly, but close. Too close. It tugged at Danny’s core, a strange mix of familiarity and concern. The first was a quiet boy, barely seven, with hollow eyes and a haunted expression. Danny found him huddled in the shadows of Crime Alley, shivering and alone.
It wasn’t even a conscious decision. He couldn’t leave the kid there.
And so, the warehouse became home.
The old building wasn’t much to look at from the outside, but Danny had poured what little ecto-energy he could spare into reinforcing it, patching up leaks, and making it livable. Inside, it was surprisingly cozy. Rugs covered the cold floor, mismatched furniture filled the space, and shelves lined with books and trinkets added a sense of warmth.
Within weeks, Danny’s little family had grown.
Five kids now called the warehouse home, each one with a story that left Danny seething with quiet rage. Abusive parents, neglectful guardians, and the harsh streets of Gotham had taken their toll on each of them. Danny couldn’t fix the past, but he could offer them something better: safety, warmth, and the promise that they’d never be alone again.
One of the kids, Sam, was from one of Gotham’s elite families. He’d run away after his parents’ cruelty pushed him too far. When Danny had found him, Sam had been too weak to argue.
It was Cassandra Cain who stumbled upon them.
She’d been tracking a lead on a missing child—the wealthy parents had finally reported Sam missing after weeks, though their concern had seemed more for appearances than genuine worry. Her trail led her to the refurbished warehouse.
Cass slipped inside silently, her every movement a shadow. What she saw stopped her in her tracks.
Danny was sitting cross-legged on the floor, a tattered storybook in his hands. The five kids were gathered around him, leaning against him or huddled close, their faces rapt with attention. Danny’s voice was soft, animated, bringing the story to life.
“...and the brave knight faced the dragon, not with a sword, but with kindness.” Danny smiled, looking down at the youngest child, a girl clutching his arm. “Because sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is try to understand someone else.”
Cass didn’t move for a moment.
The scene was so achingly peaceful, so pure, that it seemed impossible in a city like Gotham. She could feel the protective energy radiating from Danny, the way the kids seemed to trust him implicitly. It wasn’t just a man taking care of children. He was their anchor, their safe harbor.
Still, she stepped forward.
Danny looked up, his glowing green eyes meeting hers. For a second, Cass tensed, ready for a fight. But Danny’s expression softened, and he raised a hand in a calming gesture.
“Hey,” he said quietly. “You must be one of the Bats.”
Cass tilted her head, curious but cautious. “Who... are you?”
“I’m Danny,” he replied simply, closing the book. “And these are my kids.”
Her gaze flickered to the children. Sam had tensed at her presence, but Danny placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
“They’re safe here,” Danny continued, his voice calm but firm. “I promise. I know you’re probably here for him.” He nodded toward Sam. “But he ran for a reason. And I’m not about to let anyone hurt him again.”
Cass reported back to Bruce and the others. The revelation sparked an intense debate in the Batcave.
“He’s just a kid himself!” Damian snapped, glaring at the screen showing Danny’s image. “What gives him the right to take in strays like this?”
“Pot, meet kettle,” Tim muttered, earning a scowl from Damian.
Bruce, arms crossed, studied the footage Cass had captured. Danny’s protective aura was undeniable, as was the bond he’d formed with the children. “We need to know more about him,” Bruce said. “His intentions, his background, his... abilities.”
Jason leaned against the wall, a smirk tugging at his lips. “You’re just mad someone’s beating you at the whole ‘adopting strays’ thing, B.”
Alfred cleared his throat. “Master Jason, perhaps we should focus on how best to ensure the children’s well-being.”
When the Bats finally confronted Danny in the warehouse, they were met with calm defiance. Danny stood his ground, the kids huddled behind him.
“I get it,” he said, arms crossed. “You’re the big, bad vigilantes of Gotham. But these kids? They’re not just cases or numbers. They’re people. And they deserve better than what the system gave them.”
Bruce stepped forward. “We’re not here to take them from you. But this isn’t sustainable. You’re their age. How do you plan to provide for them long-term?”
Danny hesitated, then sighed. “I’ll figure it out. I always do.”
Jason, watching the exchange, stepped closer. “What’s your deal, Danny? You’re not just some random guy.”
Danny met his gaze, his glowing eyes narrowing slightly. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”
Jason smirked. “Try me.”
The Bats weren’t ones to leave mysteries unsolved, and Danny wasn’t about to spill his life story to a group of masked vigilantes without some trust first. It took weeks of cautious interactions and reluctant cooperation for things to come to light.
It was Jason who finally got Danny to open up.
One night, after dropping off a bag of supplies Bruce had insisted the kids needed, Jason stayed behind. He found Danny on the roof of the warehouse, leaning against the railing as he stared at the Gotham skyline. The night air was crisp, carrying the distant hum of the city.
“So,” Jason began, hopping onto the ledge beside him. “You’re not just some ordinary kid with a big heart. What’s your story?”
Danny let out a long sigh. “You’re not going to let this go, are you?”
“Not a chance.”
For a moment, Danny said nothing. Then he raised his hand, letting a soft green glow surround it. “You ever hear of Amity Park?”
Jason frowned. “The town with all those ghost rumors? Thought it was a bunch of tabloid nonsense.”
“Yeah, well, it’s not,” Danny said, his voice quieter now. “I grew up there. My parents were... ghost hunters. They built a portal to another dimension—the Infinite Realms. Something went wrong, and I ended up... connected to it. Half-ghost, half-human.”
Jason blinked, his eyes narrowing as he processed the information. “Half-ghost? Like, you died?”
“Sort of.” Danny’s tone was light, but his eyes reflected the weight of the experience. “It’s complicated. I didn’t plan to stick around Gotham, but then I started noticing these kids—how close they were to death, how much they’d suffered. I couldn’t just leave them.”
Jason studied him for a moment, then nodded. “You’re a weird guy, Danny. But I get it.”
Danny smirked. “Thanks, I think.”
Tumblr media
Each child Danny had taken in had their own struggles, their own pain that had led them to him.
Sam: The son of a wealthy Gotham family, Sam had been raised in luxury but at a terrible cost. His parents cared more about appearances than his well-being, and the pressure to be perfect had been crushing. When Danny found him, Sam had been wandering the streets, bruised and desperate for escape.
Mia: A street-smart girl with a sharp tongue, Mia had grown up in foster care, bouncing between homes that never cared for her. She’d survived on her own for months before Danny found her, stealing food to survive.
Leo: Barely six, Leo had been abandoned in Crime Alley. He didn’t speak much, but he clung to Danny like a lifeline.
Ella: A bright-eyed girl with an affinity for art, Ella had been living in a condemned building with her older brother, who’d died protecting her. Danny found her crying over his body, her face pale and haunted.
Max: A quiet, thoughtful boy who had a near-death experience after falling into Gotham River. His brush with death had left him sensitive to the supernatural, and he’d been drawn to Danny almost instinctively.
Danny had given them all a second chance, teaching them to trust again. The warehouse became their safe haven, a place where they could heal.
Tumblr media
Despite their initial skepticism, the Bats couldn’t deny that Danny was doing good. Bruce offered resources to help with the kids, on the condition that Danny let them monitor the situation.
“I’m not looking to turn this into a charity case,” Danny had said. “I just want what’s best for them.”
“And that’s what we’re offering,” Bruce replied evenly. “Whether you like it or not, we’re invested now.”
Danny found himself working with the Bats more often, whether it was coordinating efforts to help other at-risk kids or teaming up with them during ghost-related incidents.
Cass became a frequent visitor, quietly helping with the children and bonding with Danny over their shared love of storytelling. Tim couldn’t resist asking questions about ghost tech and the Infinite Realms, while Damian begrudgingly admitted that Danny wasn’t as useless as he’d assumed.
Jason, however, became Danny’s closest ally. The two shared a mutual understanding, both having faced death and come back changed.
Years passed, and the warehouse evolved. The children grew, some eventually striking out on their own while others stayed close. Danny became a pillar of the community, the once-abandoned warehouse now a thriving community center.
Jason remained a constant presence in Danny’s life. Their friendship deepened, and somewhere along the way, it turned into something more.
The wedding was a quiet affair, held in the Infinite Realms. The guests were a mix of humans and ghosts, an unusual but fitting reflection of Danny and Jason’s lives.
Sam, Mia, Leo, Ella, and Max—now young adults—stood by Danny’s side, their smiles bright and proud. The Bats, dressed in uncharacteristically formal attire, watched with a mix of fondness and exasperation as Jason said his vows.
“I didn’t think I’d get a second chance at a family,” Jason said, his voice steady but soft. “But with you, Danny, I found something I didn’t even know I was looking for.”
Danny smiled, his eyes glowing faintly. “And I found a home—in Gotham, in these kids, and in you. You’re stuck with me now, Jason.”
As they exchanged rings, the Infinite Realms shimmered around them, a quiet acknowledgment of the bond they’d forged.
And as they stepped into their future together, hand in hand, they knew they’d face whatever came next—together, as a family.
Tumblr media
Over the years, Danny and Jason’s “kids” grew into remarkable young adults, each finding their own path while staying connected to the family they had built together.
Sam: The Voice for Justice
Sam’s upbringing in Gotham’s elite circles gave him unique insight into the city’s upper class. As an adult, he used that knowledge to challenge the corruption ingrained in Gotham’s wealthy families.
By day, Sam became a successful lawyer, taking on cases for those who couldn’t afford proper representation. By night, he used his connections to help Danny and Jason uncover and dismantle illegal operations hidden behind Gotham’s polished facade.
Despite his serious demeanor, Sam never forgot the kindness Danny showed him. He often visited the community center to mentor at-risk kids, giving them the guidance he wished he’d had.
Mia: The Protector
Mia’s sharp tongue and street smarts made her a natural fighter. She trained with Cass and Damian, honing her skills until she became a formidable vigilante known as Specterblade.
Unlike most of Gotham’s protectors, Mia embraced her ghostly side. Danny taught her how to channel ectoplasmic energy, giving her an edge in combat. She patrolled the streets with a ferocity that even Damian respected, targeting human traffickers and abusers with relentless determination.
Though she worked in the shadows, Mia also took an active role at the community center, running self-defense classes for women and teens.
Leo: The Guardian of the Realms
Leo’s quiet nature hid a deep connection to the Infinite Realms. Over time, his near-death experience evolved into a unique ability to sense disturbances between dimensions.
Danny noticed this early on and trained Leo to become a Realmwalker, a protector of the delicate balance between the mortal world and the Infinite Realms. Leo embraced the role, splitting his time between Gotham and the ghostly dimension.
He became a key figure in handling supernatural threats that even the Justice League struggled with. Though he was often away, Leo remained fiercely loyal to his family, returning whenever they needed him.
Ella: The Healer
Ella’s love for art evolved into a passion for design and restoration. She studied architecture and urban planning, eventually becoming a key figure in revitalizing Gotham’s neglected neighborhoods.
Her ghostly sensitivity gave her a unique perspective on spaces and their emotional resonance, which she used to create safe, welcoming environments. The community center was her first major project, and she expanded its reach with satellite locations across the city.
Ella’s gentle spirit made her a comforting presence in the family, and she often acted as the mediator when tensions ran high.
Max: The Tech Genius
Max’s brush with death left him fascinated by technology and its potential to change lives. He became a brilliant engineer, blending ghost tech and human innovation to create devices that pushed the boundaries of possibility.
Working alongside Tim, Max developed tools to help Gotham’s vigilantes fight crime more efficiently. He also created gadgets to help people with disabilities, inspired by the struggles he witnessed during his time on the streets.
Max was the quiet brain behind many of the family’s operations, preferring to let his work speak for itself.
Despite their busy lives, the kids never forgot their roots. They visited the warehouse-turned-community center regularly, helping Danny and Jason with new initiatives and staying connected to the city that had once failed them.
Family dinners were a chaotic but cherished tradition, with everyone gathering around the table to share stories, tease each other, and reaffirm their bond.
In their own ways, each of Danny and Jason’s kids carried on their legacy of hope, proving that even in a city as dark as Gotham, second chances could bloom into something extraordinary.
I might make this a series and show each kids journey. Hope you guys liked it.

ohhh you know what id love to see in your writing style if you have the time? tim just... getting a kitten. getting a kitten and realizing this tiny innocent creature depends on him and simultaniously freaking out about it while settling into the role of owner. very much reminding him of his own childhood and dealing with thoughts of like... how could someone not love and cherish something completely innocent? basically making him rethink how he was treated. could definitely include danny co-parenting the kitty and just being lovely.
YOU DONT HAVE TO THOUGH AND I LOVE YOUR WRITING HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY RAHHH
hi anon!! tysm for the ask and the kind words !! <3 I hope u have a wonderful day too, and I had so much fun writing this !
Tim doesn’t mean to take the kitten home.
It’s raining. He’s bleeding. The alley is too cold, the sky too loud. And in the hush between thunder, there’s a sound like a whisper. Like a meow.
He follows it. Down a fire escape, behind a dumpster, into the alley’s lungs.
And there she is.
Shivering. Soggy. No bigger than his palm. His heart does something unfamiliar and awful in his chest. Her meow is hoarse and angry, and she bites his glove hard enough to draw blood. It's like love at first sight.
She meows again, and then cautiously plants herself on his boot like she’s made a decision.
It’s not a question. She’s coming with him.
---
At first, it’s chaos.
He googles everything. Kitten feeding schedules. Litter training. What it means when she purrs. What it means when she doesn't. He overthinks every sound she makes. He buys a cat tree taller than Damian. He reads labels on food like he’s defusing a bomb. He calls Alfred three times in one night because “her paw twitched in her sleep and I think she’s dying.”
Danny finds him sitting cross-legged on the floor at 3am, kitten curled on his hoodie, utterly still.
“She’s really taken to you,” Danny says, voice low.
Tim blinks up at him, dazed. “I think I’m her whole world.”
There’s a pause.
Danny smiles and crouches beside them, fingers brushing against Tim’s, “Yeah. Sounds about right.”
They don’t move for an hour.
---
Tim names her Cassiopeia. Because she’s dramatic and beautiful and just a little bit doomed. She is too small for her name. He whispers it like a secret anyway.
The first time she climbs onto his chest and falls asleep purring, something in Tim just… stops. Like a wire inside him went slack for the first time in years. It’s terrifying. It’s quiet. It’s warm.
She trusts him.
It's a small thing, barely a moment—Cassiopeia curling up on his chest with a sigh, a tiny, vibrating purr against the steady thrum of his heart. But it slams into him like a punch. A reminder. A question. A memory.
She’s so small. So soft. So painfully here, alive and warm and unafraid. And she looks at him like he’s a constant. Like he’s safety. Like she’s not even considering the idea that he might drop her, might walk away, might not come back.
That kind of trust is dangerous. That kind of love… it terrifies him.
Because Tim remembers being this small. Sitting on the floor of his childhood bedroom in silence so loud it rang in his ears. Because he knows what it’s like to eat dinner alone at a table too long, to pad barefoot through an empty penthouse and realize no one is looking for you. He remembers curling into himself under too many blankets and pretending that he was a ghost—easy to miss, easier to forget.
Cassi is too young to know what it's like to be forgotten.
And he wants to keep it that way.
She just wants warmth. Food. Gentle hands and a heartbeat beneath her tiny paws. She doesn’t want him to prove anything. Doesn’t expect brilliance. Doesn’t care about masks or missions or mistakes.
She just wants warmth. Food. Gentle hands and a heartbeat beneath her tiny paws.
And somehow, despite everything—despite the cold parts of him that never fully thawed, despite the cracks he tried to fill with caffeine and case files—she’s decided he’s enough.
He’s what she picked.
Tim doesn’t know what to do with that. He doesn’t know how to be someone worth trusting. But he wants to try. For her, for the tiny kitten making biscuits on his chest and purring contently with no problems in the world, he wants to try.
The ache in his chest is too deep to name. It sits between his ribs like something ancient and exhausted, something he's been carrying for so long he forgot it was even there.
He blinks hard. Swallows twice. Then buries his face in her fur and breathes.
She smells like laundry detergent and the soft plastic of the toy mouse Danny gave her. She smells like safety. Like a future he didn’t think he got to have.
He doesn't cry. Not really.
But something in him finally exhales.
She is safe. Loved. Spoiled rotten.
And maybe, just maybe, so is he.

Reading your Hamilton-inspired DPxDC posts gave me a wild thought to the tunes of "The Schuyler Sisters":
Redeemed Vlad being the Regent for Danny, and it's Jazz, Danny and Ellie out in town (Dan is the Army General and on duty today). Jazz looking incredibly bored, Ellie the bratty little sister with the zoomies, and Danny, the one who doesn't even bother looking the least bit regal. Like, Jazz and Ellie both look like princesses, and Danny is their commoner cousin or something.
It's important to me that you know I picture Danny, in Infinite Realms high society, as a sort of barbarian prince that walked into the court, refused to leave, and got adopted by the elderly Advisor (Clockwork) who's ruled in the lost king's stead with a sharp gaze and balanced hand.
Young people love him, because he's just as likely to watch you brawl it out on the streets, as he is to take off the cape and breastplate, roll up his sleeves, and immediately come in swinging.
That's how they bond, and why most of the Ghosts that came through the Fenton Portal were so eager to throw hands.
And here's the scene that my mind is very visibly picturing:
Jazz and Ellie in a Library, Jazz looking for books for her thesis in the Living World and Ellie picking up more comics. Danny's outside enjoying the nice spring-like breeze, and then Johnny 13 leans against the wall to flirt with him (I headcanon Danny as, in his 20's-30's having A Thing with Johnny and Kitty).
Full on, leaning against the wall, smirk and thumb on the chin flirting, while Danny barely looks like he's paying attention, just rolling his eyes and snorting at something Johnny says to him.
Probably asks him if Kitty even knows he's here...and she's right across the street, watching her idiot absolutely fail to rizz up the other idiot.
Now this is just me building up extra scenes from the previous bit:
Johnny getting the kicked puppy look when Danny slips away from him to go chat up Kitty instead. Like, absolute disaster of a man, his bad girl vibes girlfriend, and the twink who's known them for too long to fall for his charms. Like, to Danny, Johnny is just a little pathetic, and while he might eventually take pity on the guy and flirt back, the game is seeing how much of a fool Johnny likes to make of himself to make him snort and laugh.
To the townsfolk, their soap opera is watching their Darling Prince and how, unlike the stuffy Castle Town manners and double-speak, him and his Badlands friends tend to be very...physically intense and direct in their affections and romantic pursuits. Don't expect to see him receiving any poems or expensive gifts in the mail. No, you're more likely to find him out in town, probably at a bar he SHOULDN'T be in, acting all friendly with the more rough-and-tumble types, taking the friendly insults and answering in kind with the best of them.
Maybe getting handsy with the biker couple, and coming back all ruffled and smiling.
And it sends every court lady all abuzz with gossip and scandalized whispering. Until "Uncle Vlad" proves that this is just how they do things where they come from, by initiating the most cursed and mildly toxic situationship with Spectra. No one can stand seeing these two together. At least the Princeling looks fondly annoyed by the constant flirting of Johnny and Kitty, compared to the sleazy smirking his Regent and his intended always have for each other. Very Cruella de Vil x Lex Luthor vibes, while Danny has Aristocats vibes, Johnny and Kitty both playing Thomas O'Malley in turn.
This is where we could throw in DC.
By which, I mean Tim's Young Justice team find an old tome with a green sticky note shaped like a cog on it. And then you have Bart, Zoomies Personified, Conner yes-and'ing his bad choices, Cassie leaning back to watch this, and Tim pinching his nose, saying fuck it, and joining his friends in summoning a possibly-demon, but damn if the depictions in the book look handsome as fuck.
Plus, you know, he's titled as The Benevolent and Beloved Prince of the Realms. Skating right past the Dethroner of Tyrants and Champion of the Badlands titles. Those sound pretty heroic, right?
Right?
What Danny do they get?
Shirt ripped open, attractively battle-damaged Danny with a glass of ale in hand after yet another friendly brawl?
Decadent beauty dressed for a day out in town?
Danny mid-makeout oth Kitty and/or Johnny?
Personally, I wanna say this is a Danny who looks like he's maybe 28-29, using one of Kitty's tips he stole and Johnny's coat, lounging in fuzzy pyjama pants, being summoned while stressing about what his Thing will be whe he takes the throne.
Every King before had A Thing they did. The first King was a farmer, his successor was a hunter. Pariah, before his madness set in, raised horses (maybe Fright Knight's current horse was raised by Pariah as a gift for his friend).
As Regent, Vlad doesn't need to have A Thing of his own, but the old man became an art connoisseur during his time ruling in Danny's name.
Danny has zero clue what he wants to do, and he should probably be asleep, but he's stressing.
He's been getting questions on what he likes to do, and the rest of his Court like to remind him that, while he's fought all of them, and won against most of them, they've also seen him grow, and saw his embarrassing years, so they're essentially like when your well-meaning grandma asks you if you've already figured out what you wanna study in university.
And now, just as he's about to start pulling his hair out, dressed in stolen boyfriend and girlfriend clothes and his fuzziest pants, these...children summon him.
Well, Danny's always been good at bullshitting his way through Situations. And someone throws out the idea of asking him for knowledge.
"About what?" asks Danny, stealing a pack of the lemon oreos Martian Manhunter keeps in Mount Justice for when it's his turn supervising the Junior team.
And that's how Jazz has to come rescue her brother from a summons he never came back from, and finds him lounging on a beach chair, breathing stars made of ice and snow into existence to teach actual teenagers about Space and physics.
But the time he floats over to her side, Danny has found his Thing. He wants to teach. He's going to be for other kids the kind of teacher he wished he'd always had, and what Mr. Lancer tried to be, for all that the man noticed things a little late.
Maybe he gets summoned more regularly for practice teaching Young Justice? They schedule the summons around Justice League schedules so they don't have to share their new mentor. Sure Martian Manhunter gets brought in in the secret because Danny keeps stealing his lemon oreos when he's there, but he enjoys watching the young man learn and grow more confident in his role as a teacher, so he's got his support.
And then the Justice League main team, while meeting with their children in Young Justice, all get booted into the middle of the Commercial District of Pariah's old Lair, which became Danny's after the succession was established. At which point they have to make nice with the locals and get their bearings.
Only, who comes out of a bar, launched into the ground outside?
Why, Danny, his shirt torn, sleeves rolled up past his elbows. His knuckles are a bit bruised, and his forearms are scratched up.
He's smiling, though, and taunting whatever opponent he's picked a fight with. And out comes Skulker in the newest iteration of his armor.
Now, from the stories Danny tells, Young Justice know their favorite teacher has an interesting past, involving a lot of fighting.
They just weren't ready to see Teach throw down with a man made of metal.
Danny turns to see his little ghostlings, his smile grows wider, sharp teeth on display, and tells them "Sit tight, kiddos. Wanna watch something fun? This is how we do it where I come from!"
Skulker is basically a weapons platform shaped like a man, but Danny has been fighting him bare-handed for years now. In three quick moves, the head pops clean off with a hiss of steam, lands in Danny's hand, and he fishes out Skulker-blob to congratulate him on a good fight.
If you wanna throw in Red Hood too, this is where "Helpless" would kick in, as Jazz comes in to scold Danny for ruining his outfit again. Nit for fighting, Jazz is just as ready to throw down as her siblings, but she always leaves her fights with a pristine outfit, somehow.
And Jason is staring hard.
That's one woman worthy of the title of Goddess, in his opinion, and he's just become a religious man.
Batman is...impressed that the kids managed to hide an entire extra-dimensional entity being summoned regularly and kept it from even him. He's a little uncomfortable with Danny's willingness to just fight for the sake of fighting and calling it bonding, but now that they've been brought to a sitting room in the castle, in a more private setting with Danny, his siblings, and his friends, he can see that they're all just Like That.
I have nothing to add to this other than, this is PERFECT!! EXQUISITE! BEAUTIFUL, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS TO READ THROUGH. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND FUNNY AND EVERYTHING. ♥️♥️
I love the Johnny/Danny/Kitty because it's two idiots and one Bad Bitch.

From sideblog @whimpers-and-whumpers
Currently watching the westminster dog show and they're at the setter section.
....did Bram ever make Danny watch dog shows at the cabin? Did he draw 'inspiration' from them?
One of the few pieces of good fortune Danny had was that there was no television at the cabin beyond whatever movies Bram had on hand. So, luckily, he did not force him to watch dog shows.
Just lots of movies about men going through, uh, similar experiences as him. Including a few of Bram's past victims.
But then, he also made Danny watch Hannibal, and a lot of cooking shows he had recorded.

Danny, Sam, and Tucker hanging out at a Wayne gala discussing which Wayne kid they should add to their polycule. (Tucker thinks they should add the butler)
"Please, please, please—" Danny begged. "Can I please ask Duke Thomas?"
"Cassandra Wayne is right there!" Sam protested. "Why go for a man when there's a baddie right there?!"
Tucker stayed silent.
It was both fortunate and unfortunate that the Wayne family was so atrociously hot. The eye candy was amazing, but this conversation would probably never end.
"What about Jason Todd? Recently dead and then came back?" Sam asked.
Danny grimaced. "No thanks. Jazz is probably in love with him and he smells like hot garbage. His core is totally damaged and I'm not a fixer upper."
"You know what? Good for you." Then Sam sighed. "Do we even need a fourth?"
"It's just for a night of fun," Danny said nonchalantly.
"If it's for one night, then can I suggest the butler?" Tucker finally spoke up.
Both Sam and Danny stared at him blankly.
Tucker immediately defended himself. "Don't look at me like that! You know, he's a GILF and that probably means he has experience—"
"Tucker, shut your bitch ass up—!"
"Tucker, I swear to god—!"

Manny and Danny are legit so cute and as a doomed yaoi enjoyer I salute you for committing to the cause o7
Love it cuz Danny clearly had a fear of losing people in the show so it'd be interesting for him to lose Manny in the future or have a deep worry about it. Same for all his other friends obvi
I'm sure Danny is taking the thought of it well. It definitely doesn't pile on with the fact that he constantly thinks about the very real, very much existing future version of himself that experienced a form of loss so devastating it literally turned him evil

Danny gets summoned by justice league only problem is that he's in his pajamas which happen to be a superman t-shirt and pajama pants with the bat symbol on them. Danny had been in the middle of getting eight hours of sleep for once and was not amused
He’s just standing in the middle of the summoning circle, eyes half open, mouth partially agape. He was immediately transformed into his ghost form, but his clothes remained the same, just with a bonus Crown of Fire floating above his head. I’m also picturing him holding a glass of milk in one hand, because that makes it ever so slightly funnier. Like he partially woke up after the summoning began, and went to reach for a glass of milk that he got before he went to sleep. A little treat in addition to having a peaceful night.
And then he gets summoned. Someone asks if this really is the Ghost King, and the magic users begrudgingly confirm it, pointing out the crown. Superman compliments Danny’s Batman pants.

Could I request an nsfw alphabet for ghostface?
of course!!!!! i miss writing ghostface lol he's such a weirdo. some answers I gave answers for both the real world and Entity's realm bc I think it's fun to think about both. It's implied that you knew and were involved with Danny before you were brought into the Entity's realm.
NSFW Alphabet: Danny Johnson/Ghostface (Dead by Daylight) (18+)
warnings: very unhealthy relationships, mentions/implications of dubious consent, typical horror content, danny is a weirdo and also not nice
SEND ME A CHARACTER FOR A NSFW ALPHABET | CHARACTER LIST
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
Listen. He's not doing shit for you. If you want someone who actually cares about your wellbeing, a serial killer is not it. Maybe he'll give you a cigarette. If you fall asleep after, he might leave you something on your kitchen table for when you wake up.
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
His: His hands. They are what enable him to do his work-- both in a reporting sense and in a killing sense. I see Danny as being a very tactile person-- he enjoys touching and feeling what he's doing. And that includes you. Yours: He is an ass man and you cannot change my mind.
C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
At first, before he trusts that you won't turn him in, I think he would use a condom. He's not risking leaving that DNA evidence behind. But once it seems like you're trustworthy, he'll stop. Then he goes kinda overboard-- he wants to mark you all over, be it your ass, tits, or face. (In the Entity's realm, he could be convinced to finish inside just so you don't have to worry about getting his come everywhere (ew) but also he's just as likely to not listen).
D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
If you get him at the exact right moment, you could get him to be more submissive. But it would definitely be an exception rather than a rule in your relationship.
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
I can see him having more one-night stands than actual relationships. He definitely knows what he's doing, but he rarely finds himself seeing the same person more than a few times. But you... you're something different. He's not quite sure why, but he wants to keep you around for as long as possible, his attraction to you bordering on obsession.
F = Favorite position (this goes without saying)
He enjoys taking you from behind but has a certain affinity to taking you prone. Feeling you helpless beneath him is its own motivator for him, especially if you struggle a bit.
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
If he's laughing, it's entirely at your expense. He is light-hearted, but in a way that puts you as the butt of the joke.
H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
OK so I generally am pro-bush for all characters I write for but for him specifically, I can see him shaving his body hair just to lessen the amount of potential DNA evidence he's leaving. Unlike with the condoms, this wouldn't change because he will still be killing other people and doesn't want to risk leaving any evidence behind.
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
He is not and will never be a "romantic." The only time he would ever be remotely romantic would be if he was trying to maintain the ruse that he is Jed Olsen, a normal guy, and not actually Ghostface. But once you know his secret, he won't play around with tender words or affectionate touches. No, then you get to see him as he truly is and he won't hold back. You should just pray that you're as into it as he is (you are, even if you never tell him in those words).
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
When he first started stalking you, he definitely touched himself while he was watching you. If he caught you masturbating? You can bet he pulled out his camera to take pictures and used said pictures as masturbation material for longer than he'd like to admit.
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
Predator/Prey, like, come on! This only got worse when you were brought into the Entity's realm-- now, he can really lean into the thrill of chasing you down and taking you on the ground, watching as your hands grapple for purchase on the ground and only manage to get dirt under your fingernails. He can be as violent as he wants because you'll just wake back up at the campfire, free of cuts and bruises and ready for him to take you again.
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
The floor/ground. It directly correlates to the aforementioned predator/prey kink, when he sees you he just has this primal need to push you onto the ground and take you then and there.
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
To name a few: voyeurism (both with you being oblivious and with you knowing what he's doing); the thought of killing you (but not actually, see the next letter); the knowledge that despite everything he does to you, you like it (though he would be in denial if you didn't, so good luck)
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
He'll threaten it (because the idea of it turns him on), but he won't actually kill you. Mainly because he knows that once he does it, he won't be able to get you back. But once you appeared in the Entity's realm? Those concerns are thrown right out the window! Now he can kill you whenever he wants and, better yet, do it again the next day.
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
If he's wearing his mask, he's not going to bother with giving oral. When he does give, he's not too concerned with actually making you feel good but sees it as the precursor to intercourse. When he is on the receiving end, he also does not particularly care about your comfort. He'll fuck your face and only stop if it seems like you're going to throw up, he'll hold your head so he controls the speed, generally shitty behavior.
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
Danny views sex as a power play, and the way he fucks you makes this clear. It's rough, a punishing pace that feels almost like he is using you as a means to get off.
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
A large majority of what the two of you do could be considered a quickie. It's a lot more likely that he visits, fucks you, and leaves than him staying around and spending the night after. But if he is taking his time with you, it will be an all night affair.
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
Yes! Although, again, it's on his terms and he doesn't really care if you don't seem to enthusiastic about the idea.
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
If he comes to you before killing, it'll be one average length round (maybe a little on the short side, if he's willing to get on with killing/too excited by the prospect). If he comes to you after killing, he'll be going all night, it really gets his blood pumping.
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
No. Unless his knife counts. Or rope. Or duct tape.
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
He definitely likes to build up to it, though it may not be stereotypical teasing. He is a master at creating a suspenseful atmosphere when he wants to. He will semi-regularly role-play like you're in a horror movie, which definitely helps build up arousal. If he's just visiting for a quickie, it won't be that in depth, but he does love playing with his food. In the Entity's realm, expect him to spend the entire trial he has with you gradually building up to the moment when he catches you and has his way with you.
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
Expect lots of grunts and growls and moans. And dirty talk, especially if he finds out that his voice modulator really gets you excited. Despite everything else about his demeanor when you're having sex, he does want you to know that he's enjoying himself.
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
He is a very jealous lover. Don't even think about flirting with anyone else if you don't want to find polaroid pictures of their corpses around your home. The sex when he's jealous is particularly punishing, like he thinks you need to be reminded who you belong to. (You never forgot).
X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
Slightly above average length, average girth.
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
Pretty high, especially after a kill.
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
He does not-- I imagine he often has to actually go find someone to kill since he's holding back from killing you, if he wasn't already on his way to do so. But you might wake up to fresh coffee and a somewhat nice but definitely creepy note on your kitchen table. In the Entity's realm, he also cannot fall asleep after because he either has to hunt down the rest of your team or figure out what he wants to do with you. Half of the time, he lets you go. The other half... well, at least you don't die permanently.
