Hi, while you're in Madagascar my brain cooked up this question that keeps me up at night. Are there any neotenous frogs? Species that live as tadpoles/fake fish in adulthood? Thank you!

No! It would be super interesting, but this does not seem to be possible for frogs. The remodelling of the skeleton is very extensive during metamorphosis in frogs, and copulation in frogs almost always heavily involves the use of limbs, so the jump you would have to make in order to make this work is probably just too much for evolution to have managed it (though I would be thrilled to be wrong).

I can say that so far it's looking like offering cooked food does not appear to be detrimental to early development or health outcomes, and that it did appear to contribute to faster adoption of feeding in neonates. I can't yet say that it positively affects growth rates or long-term health (though I am seeing trends in the data), but I think this process is worth repeating and I will likely choose additional study subjects from future clutches to build a body of work. Because larger whole prey meals are harder to cook, and I'm not yet ready for phase two (convert whole prey into a homogenized format), I definitely won't be continuing the study longer than a year.

I desperately need to take better photos of everybody but here's a quick shot of the kids from LRR24 that I snapped during feeding today. 1 and 2 (top) are part of the control group and eat raw food. 3 and 4 (bottom) are part of the hot lunch bunch!

This continues to be an exciting endeavor and I'm really happy with how it's progressing.

The design reason why vampires have dark grey masks, I based them on drones' visors to remind that they're basically human versions of character themselves without making them robotic-like plus I'm a furry at heart, I can't go without giving more than one animal traits to characters at least.

Now, into the scientific reason why vampires have dark masks and markings. Dark masks help them blend into their environments (native to the northern taiga, tundra, and alpines) during nightfall. It also reduces glaring, making them easier to see in the dark.

I'd like to compare female and male disassembly drones' legs to snowy owls, female snowy owls are more spotted and darker while males are just complete white, still have a few spots, just not noticeable unlike females.

With this, female vampires are darker and have more markings than male vampires. However, V(ictoria) has less markings and paler in color schemes of female vampires, she's leucistic. N(orman) are an albino 1/3 werewolf and 2/3 vampire and J(uliette) are a erythristic vampire.

There's the clear difference between albino and white leucistism, albino animals usually have pink, lavender, or pale blue with pink hints while leucistic animals have normal-colored eyes. Leucistism can come in different varieties; complete white, cream/pale-colored, piebald. Erythristism is a pigmentation mutation that causes mammals and birds to be present as weak rusty red while in invertebrates are present as strong pink.

Why does Genesis 7:15 say there were only two animals of each kind, male and female, that got on the Ark, when plenty of animal species have more than two sexes or a combination of female and male parts?
