Absolutely, yes! So much of my work is inspired by fictional characters and their stories that I love—I write fanfic with my best friend, (shoutout to @lilacandgoooseberries!) and it’s genuinely one of the most fulfilling, inspired parts of my life. That kind of collaboration has lit up parts of me I didn’t even know were waiting. I searched for that connection for years—someone who sees story the way I do, who meets me in the middle of the feeling, wholly, not halfway—and finding it has changed everything. I’ve never loved stories more than when I’m telling them with her. That said, it’s really a 50/50 split. The other half of my work is deeply personal, rooted in my own life, love, loss, longing. And sometimes the lines blur; sometimes what’s imagined and what’s lived are just different languages for the same feeling. Even when it’s fiction, it’s no less true. 🤍

I do have a fursona! Forgive me I haven't drawn them in a while so I quickly threw this together and didn't bother with line art colour or shading, I haven't drawn furries in so long holy shit.

This is Moondust, yes that demon oc I draw a lot (if you've seen them), but originally they were my fursona, they're just a shapeshifting demon now so I can switch from demon to wolf thing :3

I've had this design for years but added a few things to it, I'm too attached lol

As Mipha’s voice reached him, soft yet firm, a ripple of recognition passed through Link’s mind. His body still heavy with the lingering fatigue of battle, his senses slowly stirred from the haze of unconsciousness. Her words, delicate yet laden with a quiet gravity, struck him with unexpected force.

“We were in the nick of time. You were in great peril.”

For a fleeting moment, the world seemed to pause. Time itself held its breath as Link’s mind began to piece together the fragments of what had transpired. The shadows of the battle, once vivid in his memory, now began to recede, leaving only the cold pain that only a brush with death can leave on a soul. His heart skipped a beat as the realization settled like a stone in his chest.

He blinked, the words hanging in the air as if they had no place in this world. He had faced countless dangers, each one more harrowing than the last, all met with a reckless courage that fueled him, but the thought that he had come so close to death -- so close to leaving Mipha behind -- was jarring. His breath caught in his throat.

Link had long since learned to accept the weight of his role as the Hero of Hyrule meant he couldn't think of his own mortality. But now, hearing the gentle but unflinching truth in Mipha’s voice, the enormity of it pressed down on his chest like the silent hands of destiny slowly submerging him in its depths. Peril, she had said. He had been in great peril.

His gaze shifted toward Mipha, her presence a steady, comforting warmth amidst the storm of his thoughts. She had been there, guiding him through the darkness, her quiet strength the very thing that had brought him back from the edge. The weight of that realization filled him with something deeper than gratitude ---it was a recognition of something far more intimate, a bond stronger than any he had known before.

He had almost died. But he hadn’t.

And it was because of her.

The quiet ache in his chest softened as he offered a small, faint smile, a silent thank you as his hand wrapped itself around hers. He couldn’t speak right now, couldn’t find the words to convey the depth of what he felt, but he knew she understood. Mipha always had.

There were no grand speeches or heroic proclamations but a quiet understanding between them that spoke for them. In that moment, Link understood that sometimes she was, in her own profound way, his sword and shield when he could no longer hold his own.

I don't know why but I get this feeling that Atrus and Catherine on their younger years were like Milo and Kida from Atlantis. Like, same energy? Maybe?

Finally! A way to put to use my Autism Skill™ of explaining "same energy" things!

Okay so there are many parallels between Atrus and Milo and Katran and Kida.

Both Milo and Atrus are excitable, curious young men, scholars and explorers. (A bit on the twiggy side with oversized glasses, too!)

Kartran (Catherine) and Kida are both members of a culture and world previously unknown to the audience and protagonists (Milo and Atrus) and both show their adorable boyfailures their customs.

Atrus and Milo -as the protagonists of their respective stories- both discover a foreign culture and it's people. And both fall hopelessly head over heels for a strong willed woman from aforementioned culture. Both are respectful and show sincere desire to learn about her culture, and then they both ultimately defend their girlfriends and her people from older peers (Gehn and Commander Rourke) who want to exploit and colonize her people.

While Katran was played by another actress in later Myst games, I prefer her interpretation in Riven since it fits better to the other Rivenese people we see. With that in mind, a part of me also wants to say a large portion of Milo/Kida and Atrus/Katran's similarities is that their stories are pleasantly devoid of the racist trope of "foreign/non-white women is a sexy object for white man to use" Their romances are both extremely sweet, genuine, and innocent. But again, I am not an expert and I am white myself so if you want more info on that I suggest finding other creators (specifically people of color) who are more knowledgeable about racist tropes in media.
