Favorite colour: Deep rich dark navy-indigo blue. My very favorite form of light reflecting off a surface is actually purple-green-blue iridescence on black, like a raven's neck, but that's not technically a color, scientifically speaking. ;P

Last Book: Literally finished Wicked (the original retelling) about two minutes ago!

Last Show: Uhhhh my roommates and I watch a Teen Titans episode every Friday. Probably that. (Last week was Don't Touch That Dial, so that was fun. We all caught different references.)

Sweet/Spicy/Savoury: Savory, please! Umami is my favorite flavor. I do enjoy a bit of sweetness sparingly, and spice is nice when it's ginger or cinnamon, but both spicy and sweet can overwhelm me and too much won't settle well.

Last Thing I Googled: I genuinely can't remember. Update: Checked my browser history and apparently it was when I googled "mouth nerves spinal cord" to fact-check something I'd read about the way your teeth nerves don't go through your spinal cord, but are in fact directly wired to your brain. Wanted to make sure that was accurate before I shared it with some friends.

Current Obsession: I'm back on my Wicked bullshit. It's a sleeper obsession but I really do very truly love this story. (Just finished re-reading the book for the first time since I read it around age 16! I got so much different out of it from what I did the first time...) I haven't seen the play but I've listened to (and partially performed!) the soundtrack. It's on my bucket list.

Looking Forward To: Seeing the new "Wicked" movie tomorrow with Mom! (Yes it's a holiday, but neither of us have any other plans. Except to spend time together. We'll probably do dinner afterwards. Thanksgiving is a made-up holiday that celebrates a falsified history, anyways. /killjoy )

You curl in on yourself after sex, sometimes. It’s a pattern Price has noticed—you’ll finish, then he will, and in the humid moments after, the shutters in your eyes will close. You won’t meet his gaze.

He’s only asked once about it, and it had been so clear that the question disturbed you that he hadn’t pressed. You’d tell him, he reasoned, when you were ready—

The sink is put back together, cabinet door closed. Your sundress is wrapped and twisted around your midsection, naked breasts wet with his saliva and compressed against his chest as you lay panting on top of him. His shirt is in some far-off corner, thrown aside, and his jeans are around his knees.

“That was nice,” he murmurs in your ear, kissing your hair. He makes a home for his fingertips between your shoulder blades, walking the trail of your spine, up and down, slow as a tide.

“Mm-hm,” you say, out at sea. Far away.

He can’t deny that it disappoints him. But it isn’t about him, and he shouldn’t make it so. Even if it is about him, it isn’t actually about him—it’s about something else that has attached itself to him. Things are like that more often than not—deeper, older problems with hooks, the barbed kind that sink in and cling and won’t come out of their own accord.

So he keeps kissing your hair, and he keeps stroking your back. His softened cock hasn’t slipped from you yet, and he makes no move to dislodge it. You nestle closer to him; shift your body over his, a little, just for the feeling of it. He waits for the sigh—the long, steady breath you take after the act, after you’ve found yourself again in wherever it is you go after moments like this.

“This is probably weird to talk about after sex,” you say, and Price’s ears perk up.

“Nothing weird between us, dove,” he encourages. “What’s on your mind?”

You play with his chest hair a little, twirling it around with the manicured ends of your nails. (A manicure he happily paid for.)

“You’re the first man who’s ever given a damn about me,” you mumble into his neck.

“I’m sorry to hear that,” he says honestly. He kisses you again, because he wants to, and because he wants it to comfort you.

“You don’t make me feel stupid for not being able to do stuff on my own,” you continue. “My step—my mom’s husband. He used to make fun of me for, for getting confused about changing my car’s oil. Or he’d get annoyed at me. Or I’d need him to change my tires because I can’t do it on my own, and I’d call him for help, and he wouldn’t pick up the phone.”

“He sounds like a piece of work,” Price comments.

A younger version of himself would have offered to beat the shit out of the asshole. That self’s anger on your behalf sits radioactive in his chest even now—corrosive, roiling, righteous fury, ready to carve your name on whatever offal is left over after Price gets through with him.

But that would be for his own ego, not for you. That has no place here.

“Do you know—” and your voice breaks a little, “do you know how bad it feels when a man who’s supposed to look out for you treats you like you’re an idiot? Like you’re not smart enough to be worth helping?”

“Some,” he says. “It’s an awful feeling. I wish you didn’t know how it felt, dove. I’m sorry.”

He feels something warm and wet drip onto his chest, and your shoulders begin to shake.

It’s not the full-body, wracking cry of catharsis. Just an episode of something longer, something tired. A problem dealt with, over and over again—a wound that reopens sometimes, if it’s pulled the wrong way.

Price gathers you closer, wraps his arms around you tighter. He cups the back of your neck with one hand and murmurs “shhh” into your hair, soothing and quiet, squeezing you against him.

“I’m okay,” you say, a little watery. “Really, I am.”

“I know you are,” he says.

He tilts your face toward his, and kisses the center of your forehead. You meet his eyes with your own, wide and glistening with your tears.

“I’m always gonna help you, dove,” he promises, catching one that falls with the edge of his thumb. “And you can always ask.”

The reason Cassandra's name is found in ancient stones and writings even though Ally was asked to make it up in Sophomore Year is because it wasn't Kristen choosing a name, it was Ally choosing the name that came to Kristen in a holy revelation of remembering a forgotten name

Ayda Aguefort wasn't removed from the season because she was too powerful to have around, but rather that Brennan genuinely felt a natural follow to her arc was to spend time creating a family bond with Arthur

All of the cast are clear with the fact that Senior Year is not being discussed at the current moment and is something that would be far in the future, but all of the cast are also excited to return to Senior Year and Brennan has plans for what he wants to expand on and plot threads in Senior Year. After being pitched the headcanon that the adventuring party Goldenhoard was talking to in the first freshman year episodes was The Rat Grinders Brennan liked it so much he, on the spot, retconned it into canon

The cast thinks the four dogs joke is even funnier because they know Ally's mom is a dog breeder

In 2006, the Tamil-language film Paramasivan was released, about a criminal sentenced to death but employed as an assassin instead.

It is, of course, a localized remake of Kartoos, the 1999 Hindi-language film, in which a criminal is trained to assassinate by government agents who have him on tight leash, having already sentenced him to death.

Kartoos (meaning "cartridge", as in firearms) is directly based on Point of No Return, a 1993 American film about an assassin who is trained instead of having her death sentence carried out.

This film was released internationally as Assassin, or (in France), as Nom de Code: Nina (Codename: Nina). Anyway this film is a remake of Nikita.

Nikita is the 1990 French film by Luc Besson, about a criminal, sentenced to death, works as an assasin, yeah. That story. It was released outside of France as La Femme Nikita. This is the original, Nikita.

Which of course should not be confused with the 1997 Canadian TV adaptation: Nikita!

Nikita (also known as La Femme Nikita outside of Canada) is (well, this one is) about a innocent woman sentenced to the death penalty, but forced to become an assassin instead.

The same name, identically, was used for the 2010 American TV Adaptation Nikita.

In this one, it's about a woman who has already been through a whole-ass Nikita situation (which I trust you should understand by now what one of those is) and is now trying to get revenge on the secret organization that put her through a Nikita-Situation.

But the first remake was the 1991 Hong Kong action film 黑猫, or Black Cat.

黑猫 (Black Cat) is about a woman who is sentenced to a Nikita-ass situation. This time she's on the leash of the CIA. And then there's a sequel, 1992's 黑貓II：刺殺葉利欽, or Black Cat 2: The Assassination of President Yeltsin! *

黑貓II：刺殺葉利欽, or Black Cat 2: The Assassination of President Yeltsin is about ... exactly what you'd expect, really. She's still in a Nikita-ass situation and now they want her to kill the then-president of Russia, Boris Yeltsin.

Is that enough? No! No of course not. Because there's also 2017's Korean adaptation, 악녀 (The Villainess)!

악녀 (The Villainess) is a loose adaptation where she's already an assassin before she gets her death faked.

I'm not even going to go into the canceled PS2 game.

But yeah. There's a surprising number of these Nikitas.

Are you named after anyone?: I'm not named after anyone, no, but I was named after the concept that I gave my mother "a wealth of faith" when she learned she was pregnant with me. (She was in a very rough situation and though I can't understand the mindset myself, I appreciate the sentiment that knowing she was going to have me gave her faith somehow.)

When was the last time you cried?: Does tearing up at songs count? I think it was at I Have a Right by Sonata Arctica on Friday. That song ALWAYS gets to me... (And I think the same day Spotify had shuffle'd up Worth It by Pop Evil, which ALSO always gets to me.)

But as far as ACTUALLY crying, with tears falling and everything, I think that was... when I cried at the last house meeting because I was talking about things that are kinda inherent to Me (speaking bluntly because speaking aloud doesn't come naturally to me and it's the only way I can get the words out, not knowing how to be Soft and Gentle, being frustrated with my disabilities and how I hurt people by accident because of these things, etc.)

Do you have kids?: No, and I have zero desire for them. (I have already decided that even if I do ever actually WANT kids--and I will never have a kid unless I have an Active Desire to Raise One and dedicate my whole life to this living creature--I will adopt. Between my health issues and emet*phobia, I am simply NOT going to risk pregnancy.)

Do you use sarcasm a lot?: Sarcasm? Why would I use that? It's not like it's my favorite form of humor or anything. /s

Seriously though, I do use it a lot around friends and when I'm feeling snarky. Like Eris said, I'm trying to cut down on it because I've learned that a lot of people are hurt or offended by it, even when I don't mean to be hurtful. (And sometimes I do. But a lot of time I'm being critical in a Playful way.) But it IS my favorite form of humor. And if I'm comfortable and in a witty mood, I will likely be making a sarcastic comment.

What's the first thing you notice about people?: Their emotional state, and whether my empathic senses are telling me they're being Honest about it or Putting Up a Front to Hide Things.

What's your eye color?: "Blue" officially, but mostly gray tbh. They look more blue when I wear black (which is most of the time), a LOT more gray if I'm wearing blue (which is a fair amount), and actually kinda green when I have blue makeup on.

Scary movies or happy endings?: Both, ideally! I like it when people have to WORK for the happy ending. My favorite stories ever are the ones that made me fear for the characters, but then gave them a happy ending. And I do LOVE horror! (Unfortunately the aforementioned emet*phobia means I have to be Very Careful watching scary movies though.)

Any special talents?: I think of myself as a VERY good writer! Especially with characterization and headcanon power, moreso for my OCs than canon characters probably, but I like my word choice and I like the way I adjust my writing style to suit the scene too. My poetry tends to have the same meter and rhyme schemes, and generally I don't capitalize on metaphor the way other poetic masters do, but I like my poetry pretty well too. I can sorta draw, and it's far more Expressive than Realistic, but I like my art.

I'm also rather skilled in pet care! I literally have veterinary training on a formal education level, I just decided not to go $120k into student loan debt to do it forever. :P That's another thing, I'm pretty damn good at budgeting! Let's see, also Asking the Right Questions to figure things out. I'm a practicing witch and I specialize in being eclectic! So there's a WIDE swath of different kinds I know about, even though I have my favorites. Same goes for meditation; I've been practicing that for longer than I've been intentionally practicing magic!

I'm also an empath, which is both a skill (interpreting what my senses are telling me) and an inborn talent (I have no choice in the matter; I did try to cut it off when it grew faster than my skill at shielding myself grew to the point of constantly overwhelming me in high school, but it made me feel suffocated). But contrary to popular stereotypes, that doesn't make me super emotionally intelligent. I know it's ~~cool~~ to bully people for this now (heavy sarcastic emphasis), or write it off as "honey you just have hypervigilance", but I was always an empath even before the trauma. And I actually Can't read body language. So like. Miss me with your skepticism, you don't know my life. What I lack in EQ though, I also have a special talent for facing my flaws and figuring out what work I need to do to work on them.

Where were you born?: Ohio, USA! I don't know why the whole internet hates Ohio, it's actually really nice in my part of it.

What are your hobbies?: Writing, poetry, witchcraft, and meditation all previously mentioned! I also love love LOVE music, I go to live concerts at LEAST once a year, theoretically I draw, I like learning everything I can about my hyperfixations, caring for my pets, kinda-sorta have houseplants (two spider plants by the kitchen window that I hijacked from the office spiderplant at work ;P), I'd garden if I had the time and energy, and of course, reading. I'm very slow unless something has All of my Absolute Attention and there are no other obligations to prioritize, but I adore it and I'll almost ALWAYS choose reading over playing on my phone when I have the free time.

Have you any pets?: Yep! Three diamond doves (wild-type Blue and his two white-rumped blue sons Silver and Ametrine), and two chinchillas (Dusty the mosaic and Sisu the TOV ebony). I'm considering getting a pigeon and getting back into planted fish tanks someday, but I'm holding off on those until I have more free time.

What sports have you played?: I played soccer for the city for two years? No sports other than that. I don't have that "competitive spirit", and I prefer solo exercise like hiking and swimming. (I have done horseriding as a random fun activity now and then, and I've... tried archery, the once. I have so little upper body strength I couldn't draw the bow and even though I was standing halfway up a driveway and the target was at the top, the arrow only went halfway there.)

How tall are you?: 5'4! (I used to think it was 5'3.5, because doctors can't seem to agree if my height is 5'3 or 5'4, but I had someone measure me and we both agreed I'm actually 5'4.)

Favorite subject in school?: Possibly English? Surprisingly I didn't like Creative Writing as much as I thought I would, because I don't like being told WHAT to write or HOW to write it. But I also really loved art, choir, Latin, and science! And in college, I ADORED anthropology and Comparative World Religions. I also really liked my etymology courses!

Dream job?: No job at all!~ If I was able to choose my office hours (i.e., not run myself ragged) and go to school for free, I think I would make a very good exotics veterinarian. Particularly for birds. But the reality is that would put me in debt for LIFE, and the hours are grueling, and though I think I could handle the emotional toll of seeing pets suffering and the occasional euthanasia, my emet*phobia makes v*ing animals a nasty trigger (part of why I'd want to work with birds tbh), and I CAN'T handle the emotional toll of people knowing their animals are suffering and simply not caring. (I loved working at the pet store, but I saw that so often it broke my faith in humanity for a little while.) Or they can't afford the treatment their dearly beloved pets need and the kindest option is to put them down to spare them the suffering of dying a slow death from it.

One of my dreams though is to found a charity to help people pay their vet bills! Other dream jobs include being able to make a living through translation (reality: incredibly unstable pay and having to self-market), or through some sort of neopagan spirituality (reality: there's very little money in that unless you want to publish a book through Llewellyn or something, which has a whole host of issues with misinformation and editing books to suit their perspective rather than yours), or travel (that COSTS money, not MAKING money), or breeding birds or chinchillas (very expensive hobby, and there's a reason most people do it as a HOBBY and not their primary income, because the customer base is unreliable and Taking Good Care of A Whole Lot of Animals is expensive, both monetarily and in time cost).

So ultimately, I do not want a job. Working on it, but that's gonna take a few years before I can ever get to the point of leaving the job world behind forever! My dream job is no job at all, and all the time and money in the world to travel and learn languages and own all the animals I can take care of and practicing my spirituality and being a part of that community to my heart's (and soul's!) content.

There's this way of doing female-ness in Christianity that I call "pastel flower journal Christianity." I've got nothing against pastel flower journals per se, but for some reason people believe it's the end all and be all of female spirituality, and I think it's a real disservice towards young Christian women.

One of these days I'd like to start a prayer-and-reading group or something for young women, but there would be no floral themes or over-focus on how "God thinks you're beautiful even if the world doesn't" (a true statement, but it's wayyyyy too often the focus in women's spiritual reading). Instead we would be reading:

Seneca's Letters from a Stoic

Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning

Sheed's A Map of Life

Portions of Pieper's book on leisure

Kreeft's Three Philosophies of Life

Guardini's The Lord (or something similar)

Therese's Story of a Soul

and some select portions of the Nicomachean Ethics.

(Also they're all getting the porn talk. I don't know why we give the porn talk to young men but not young women. There's this idea that women don't use porn and they only need the talk about "guarding their heart." Bullshit. There's porn on the YA shelves of Barnes and Nobles and before that there were bodice rippers. Young women need the porn talk too.)

Every young woman needs to be getting a basic grounding in virtue ethics, logic, natural law, scholastic philosophy and Biblical hermeneutics if they're going to get by in today's spiritual landscape. Enough faffery and emotionalism in young women's spiritual education! Give them real food to chew on, not pasty sentimentalism!

Physical Description of the ROs!!

Despite being a frequent IF player, this is my very first time trying to create an IF myself as someone with little coding experience (I'm more of a writer if anything). I'm definitely learning as I go, and I understand this may lead to mistakes or disappointment at times, so I preemptively apologize for them. I tend to become overly ambitious, and I want to make sure I always deliver on the promises I make. I say this because some of you may have ask about certain features being implemented and I will have to say "Sorry, I don't really know how to do that yet, but I'll try and learn how!"
