What do you call a bear without teeth?
….
A gummy bear!
- Aegnor - idk why we started sending dad jokes but I’m here for it
"Have you ever even had a gummy bear? It was funny, I admit. But I am curious."
#anthxlogy#anthxlogy: Aegnor#asks#ic#meme#Aegnor: I'm funny! Hel: Yes but have you had sweets? LET ME GIVE YOU SWEETS

Hel covers it in his hands. That.. only proves how desperately he needs one, "No, please take it. Please."
For Aegnor.

"Listen, neither of us want me here, I'll just go on ahead to Valhalla - "

[ STUN ]: the sender, having been apart from the receiver for some time, makes an unexpected return and greets the unaware receiver with a hand on their shoulder.
(@anthxlogy - LOOK at the restraint I’m showing, only two memes!)
Finrod, absorbed as he was in his music, did not hear the footsteps at his door. A hand fell ond his shoulder and he jumped, startled.
"Mother," he greeted her warmly once he realised who it was. He stood up to wrap his arms around Eärwen's. "I trust your trip has been good? How fare my grandparents?"

Aegnor bites Namo. The biting will continue until Andreth is returned to him.
( @anthxlogy - silly little thing for you.)
@anthxlogy
Namo sighs, pulling away from the bites. The petitioning has started and is never stopping. "Have you been talking to Feanor and his sons again, child?"

SC// for unchill cousin aegnor @anthxlogy
how could she grasp what cannot be spoken? impending dread poisoned youthful splendour, the brush snatched from her hand and replaced with steel. she would learn to paint with blood, it seemed, an inevitable fate she wished to seal off and never think of again long before she spilled it first. eryndis was nothing if not a daughter of duty carved from the trees of doriath and what remains of teleri grace. ❛ cousin. ❜ a moment broached, and suddenly, she felt so small. ❛ what happens to my soul if i like it? ❜ killing, war ─ the righteous act of vengeance did not speak to her naturally.

“ nonsense. you’re only saying that because no one ever has. ”
( @anthxlogy - from Aegnor)
PROMPT //
she snorts, inelegantly. the kind saved for kin and those who saw beyond the lineage and into her soul. a sideways look shot, arms crossed and chin lifted. ❛ oh please. ❜ she said, voice dry as summer grass. ❛ and you’re only saying that because you’ve decided being seen beyond something means being unworthy? which is—how would you or my other barbaric uncles put it ? ah, yes: utter horse-shit. ❜
but there is nothing but humour stitched between each lilt. the glint in eye that was unmistakably reminiscent of her mother, not in her majesty, but in the dangerous mischief she’d once wielded like a blade. and yet celebrían’s tone was her own. warm beneath the wit, steady beneath the spark.
❛ people are strange about beauty. especially that which burns too brightly. though i imagine, just as they fawn at naneth’s feet, they do at yours too. what a terrible curse. ❜ she snickers softly. ❛ i just think, there’s far more to you and your wit than just the stone that sharpens your blade, uncle. ❜
#v. ☽。⋆. her lovely silken murmur 「 ᴀɴꜱᴡᴇʀᴇᴅ 」#barbaric uncles i promise she’s just being a little shit l

Aegnor picks up Gildor and tosses him into the ocean. It’s his right as an uncle.
( @anthxlogy )
Inbox Answered---
--- Gildor gave a yelp, followed by much flailing. "Uncle! Uncle be reasonable! We can work this out----" so much for that, down he goes into waves with a very undignified screech, swallowed by water and sea foam. Up he splutters, drowned blonde cat, and gets barrelled over by a wave. He'll be alright.
But you better run Aegnor. Finrod is right behind you. And he's smiling.

Continued from here @anthxlogy “Yeah, sure, Ingoldo.” Aegnor rolled his eyes, tossing stick into the fire. “I’m sure you will meet a beautiful Maia here. Who are you, King Thingol?”
"Ha! No, for I would not marry a maia, no matter how fair. My heart belongs still to Amarië. I choose to interpret the legend a little differently," Finrod leaned back on his hands and gazed up at the stars, deep in thought. "Perhaps the maia will bless this isle for us, and bring untold riches..."

#SAELINDE IS A HIGHLY SELECTIVE , CANON DIVERGENT, INDEPENDENT PORTRAYAL OF ANDRETH FROM TOLKIEN LEGENDARIUM TAKEN FROM THE SILMARILLION, HISTORY OF MIDDLE EARTH, AND LORD OF THE RINGS. HEADCANON BUILT. RINGS OF POWER FRIENDLY. WRITTEN BY HANNAH. 25+.
'I did not say that it was ever my hope,’ answered Andreth. 'And even were it so, I would still cry: why should this hurt come here and now? Why should we love you, and why should ye love us (if ye do), and yet set the gulf between?’
A study in mortality, rebirth into immortal realm. Of love lost by merit of a different fate. Wisdom, hope, bitterness, arguing against the tide of what is and striving to what could be.
SIDEBLOG TO @iriysse AFFILIATED WITH: @anthxlogy
CARRD. ( to be added )
PSA: Andreth of this interpretation is reborn at the end of the First Age as an elf in reward to Aegnor for fighting in the War of Wrath. However she was put into a body that looks very dissimilar to her own.

Did you know that polar bears will stalk their prey, waiting for the perfect moment to strike?
I would say that’s a grizzly fate, but the pun would be too unbearable.
- Aegnor
"Speaking of unbearable..."
"You had an awful lot of time on your hands to think that up. What happened to the errand I gave you?"

She narrowed her eyes and made a face, rather like a petulant teenager at his back as he walked away. Even going so far as to stick her tongue out at him.
“You’re ridiculous.” He said finally, stalking off to the kitchens for something to eat.

❝ i wouldn't find the need to tell you 'i told you so' if you weren't so allergic to admitting i'm right. ❞
(Aegnor for Finrod, @anthxlogy )
It was difficult not to laugh.
Finrod regarded his younger brother with a careful smile, one that trembled ever so slightly at the edges with the effort of holding back his mirth.
"You're not ... often right, Aegnor... besides," he sighed, placing the missive back onto the table. "When I disagreed with you this time, it was with the fervent hope that Galadriel would refer to our uncle without expletives in an official document."

@anthxlogy // Continued from here “Ingoldo,” Aegnor whined, although he would deny it. “You’re being ridiculous.” His nearby horse stamped its feet impatiently, reflecting the mood of its rider.
Smirking, Finrod refused to look at his younger brother. Uncharacteristic though it was, he was enjoying this little moment of cruelty, of keeping Aegnor guessing and impatient. Continuing to carve in silence, the wood continued to take shape- a long, thin curve coming from a block that was slowly softening with each scrape of the knife.
"How could you possibly not know what this is yet?" He tutted, trying to keep the amusement from his voice: "I thought you were good at guessing things, Ambaráto."

❝ it’s time you told me the rest of your plan, don’t you think? ❞
(@anthxlogy - Aegnor for Finrod!)
"Now why would I do that?"
Finrod smirked, continuing to delicately carve the little wooden block in his hands. Slowly but surely, it was taking a more elegant shape. A long curve seemed to be forming.
"It is far too entertaining watching you fret over it."

"I mean I threw a ball, and he chased it. He'll be back soon, I'm sure."
