Just like that, the silhouette was towering over Tasamn. He realized he was screaming. It was one of those huge fucking things. Those "made-warriors," the ones that had come out of Anuron to sack the world. It was staring down at him out of the pinprick eyes of its grotesquely small head, tramping toward him rapidly as if it were an old friend—its great clawed fist reaching for him. He raised his shield and drove the blade straight into the wrist. He thought he glimpsed something trickle out as the mass of ruddy fur knocked him down, forcing him to scramble backward on his ass.

Tasamn heard a scream somewhere off to his left. He couldn't look. His free hand fumbled in the debris and pavement. His sword; where was his sword? The thing was about to crush him in his armor.

Somewhere, receding, Sir Kurzherz was screaming. "Back! Pull back!" And, "Spears! Get spears!"

Just like that, Tasamn was utterly alone. Nothing else in the world but him and this abomination, backlit by morning rays. He might have been screaming for it to stay away, but it was hard to say; fear consumed him. Four thick, vice-like claws firmly enveloped his body, squeezing the shield to his chest. Tasamn breathed in sharply as the hand lifted him up, pulling him against the attacker's firm frame. He exhaled, and then all went black.

For my fantasy paracosm: one of the setting's races, the made-warriors. Big beasties created artificially via alchemic experiments on the order of a rotten feudal royalty to fight in wars against its neighbors and who come to diverge from their designers' original plans.

Gandhi Warns ‘explosive’ COVID wave threatens India and the world

Raul Gandhi, India’s main opposition leader, warned the Indian public and the world on Friday, April 30, 2021, that if the second sweep of Covid-19 isn’t brought under control that it would threaten the lives of many Indians and people across the globe. Gandhi takes proactive precautions to inform Prime Minster Narendra Modi. To prepare for the impact of the second wave of Covid-19, he advices for a nationwide lockdown, mass vaccinations, and to scientifically research the tracking of the virus and how it is mutating. He later explains how India is particularly vulnerable to the impact of the second wave of the virus for its size, genetic diversity, and complexity. Unfortunately, India’s highly infectious version of Covid-19 has spread to other bordering countries, which has resulted in many countries to have restricted movements from India. India has reported 1.5 million new fictions, since the pandemic India has repotted 21.49 million cases and 234,082 deaths. For many the solution to slow down the impact of virus on the Indian population would be easy, issue a nationwide lockdown. However, the Indian government is reluctant to do so because of the possible negative impact it my have on the economy. As Vaccines have be distributed, many worry that they will not be strong enough to defeat the impact of Covid- 19 in the Indian public.

This is the time that we value humanity and selflessness to other that are vulnerable. Covid- 19 makes it clear to all of us that horror that it brings isn’t quite over. I hope that the world can come together to help aid those that are suffering with the virus in India. The significance of this article is that even though vaccination are being pushed out to the public world-wide, vulnerable places in the world are still being threatened by wrath of Covid-19. I chose this article to inform myself on the details of what is going on in India. It is important for society to know about this issue to further precautionary actions and to further the need for research and a solution to go back to regular life. How are scientist using the data gained from patients towards a cure?
