- drabble.
pairing: sir lewis hamilton x black! fem reader
summary: reader will never let the paddock forget who Lewis Hamilton is.
warnings: cussing.
saint’s team radio 🪩: this is just a lil something. I was pissed tf off yesterday because of some lewis “fans” and i will never miss an opportunity to let ppl know who my goat is 🫦. enjoy
ps, i’m not adding actual reporter’s names for this so i made up random names.

The tag from your denim jacket had been irritating you since the second you put it on but you chose to forget about it, often adjusting it with your nails or a little shimmy of your shoulders.
Holding the mic from Sky Sports F1 wasn’t all too odd for you, the broadcast team only handing it to you when talking about Lewis and his achievements. Your support for the Stevenage driver was strong, often being as labelled as biased but you couldn’t care less. The support was mutual between the two of you, usually lingering on the line of friendship but doubt and time was always against you.
Your sunglasses sat on your braided head with a bored expression on your face, just wanting to get this segment over with so that you could go back to your individual blogging and interviews. Standing patiently in front of the cameras while other reporters ran around unorganised, you played with your beaded ‘44’ bracelet.
“My goodness, Y/n! I have no clue how you are so calm, this is always so hard!” One of them exclaimed, laughing in the process. “Not to mention the outfit! You look like you could go to a party!” Another laughed, her smile faltering when your eyes snapped to her, expression never changing.
After a while, the segment began and off the reporters went on a scripted tangent about other teams before getting to the main topic; Lewis. “Now, onto a different subject, Lewis Hamilton’s performance in that car has been nothing short of a…disaster if I could say.” Jimmy said, deciding to look at you as he spoke. Almost as if he was challenging you.
“For a specific race weekend or overall? His teammate, George is doing significantly better. I don’t know what’s wrong with him, it’s like he doesn’t know how to drive.” Jennifer spoke, poorly making an attempt of a joke.
“I’m not too sure why you’re speaking as if he is a rookie. You lot can see that Mercedes hasn’t been doing well as a collective yet you’re targeting one driver who has brought then 8 constructer titles rather than the other who has one win.” Lifting your mic, you spoke with a clear voice, never stuttering.
Frank shook his head and tried to chuckle. “Look Y/n. We understand he’s your boyfriend or whatever but we need to be factual here. What Ferrari has done is a mistake by signing him. I mean, there needs to be more space for others and he’s taking up space.”
“And Alonso’s dusty ass doesn’t need to leave? Using my support for Lewis to try and justify your dislike for him is unprofessional. I have no clue how you have the gumption to say all this.” You responded, still not moving from your spot.
The other 4 reporters stared at you in shock along with other people stopping in the paddock, surrounding the space just in front of the official f1 hospitality suite.
“There’s no need to use aggressive language, Y/n.” Jennifer lifted her hand to place on your shoulder but you moved away in time. “Aggressive for who?” You challenged, tilting your head.
It had gotten quite. “The viewers. It’s not a lie, Lewis is just not good anymore. He needs to make space.” One of them spoke up but you couldn’t be bothered to listen to anyone else other than Frank, your eyes trained on him.
“What? We need to speak with the producers, having an independent journalist was a mistake.” Frank smirked.
“You can take your opinion and shove it up your ass. Thanks for having me, Sky Sports F1.” You turned to the camera to blow a kiss then you gave the mic you were holding to whoever would catch it.
Walking away from the set, you knew what you did was undeniably unprofessional but those people had always had a vendetta against Lewis and any reporter/journalist who support him. Breathing out, you sashayed your way through the paddock with people staring as your braids glided in the slight breeze.
The buzz of your phone shook you out of your racing mind, a little gasp escaping your mouth as you read the notification from instagram.
lewishamilton no joke, that was the best thing i’ve ever seen. glad we have that interview together in 5 minutes :)
You first looked around the paddock after reading that message but you figured that he watched it live just like everyone else did. Your anger for that segment had clouded your thoughts so much, you forgot about the interview you were supposed to have with the champion.
Rushing to the large luxurious paddock club, you received all types of looks from those who either clearly watched the broadcast live or they’re looking at your outfit, although the latter was made up in your mind.
Luckily, he hadn’t arrived to the designated room you booked to have the interview with him but as soon as you got your phone out to record and your notes, the screams and excitement were heard from outside the door and a smile couldn’t help but sneak on your face.
You have only interviewed him three times in your entire career but every time you did so, he never wanted it to end, always trying to make it longer by asking his own questions to you or just sharing a laugh.
With security opening the door for him, he entered the room and spotted you with a smile on his face. He entered alone in the mercedes shirt already on. No words needed to spoken by either of you, Lewis opening his arms for a hug to greet you. Once in his embrace, you thought it’d be quick but to your surprise, it lasted a few moments longer.
“Hi Y/n.” Lewis spoke, a hand still on your shoulder. You took a quick breath and immediately relaxed on the spot. “Hey Lewis.”
“Your response to Sky was insane but I liked it.” He chuckled, sitting across from you with his legs open and a ring clad hand sat comfortably on his lap.
You didn’t want to show him how the sight affected you especially when your emotions are sky high so you remained calm on the outside. “It’s just…I’m pretty sure I lost my job just now because of how I reacted.” You sighed out, flicking a few braids back.
“Some of them had said worse things so you’re okay.” Lewis responded, his tone wasn’t all too sure but he just wanted to lift your mood. “Yeah but I’m black. They used micro aggressions too.” You couldn’t help but chuckle at everything once recalling back to that moment.
“I heard. I’ll have a word with Sky.” He reassured you. “Oooh okay, Sir.” You joked, masking how the reassurance made your stomach flutter. You’d like to think he was openly flirting with you but you quickly put that thought at the back of your mind.
“I just don’t want those people to forget who you are, you know? I’m sure you hear this all the time. You know what you’re doing and you’re the best at it. I wanna remind the people who the goat is.” You rambled a bit, noticing his smile growing as he listened to you.
“You’re too kind, really. I know what I am, it’s just a little tough right now.” He shrugged as he fully leaned back into his seat. “If you need me to fight anybody in your team, let me know.” You winked, flashing a comical smile that made Lewis laugh.
Giving you a once over, Lewis leaned forward and rested his tatted arms on his knees. “You look good today. You always do but today…phenomenal.” He spoke, his voice noticeably relaxed. “Don’t make me blush, Sir.” You smiled, failing terribly at hiding your feeling.
“That nickname, Y/n,” He chuckled. “Is that door locked?” He asked. All you had to do was nod at the man and Lewis smirked, licking his lips in the process.
“C’mere.”

I’m writing this because I watched the Columbine iceberg video a few years ago, and I’ve just started rewatching it. There are, of course, different parts, but I’m going to be talking about the first likeee 20 to 30 minutes of the first video.
“Harris and Klebold weren’t bullied”
Obviously, I can’t say for certain whether they were or weren’t, but what I can say is this:
Enough people who went to Columbine came out and spoke about the harassment and bullying that Dylan, Eric, and many others received. Frank DeAngelis, the principal of Columbine, testified and said that the “jock culture” that was prone to bullying kids like Harris and Klebold was a myth — that there was no Trench Coat Mafia, and that staff didn’t detect any bullying or see what was to come. Other teachers and staff echoed the same words, and some outright refused to be interviewed at all.
That said, there’s a lot of testimony from students and staff at Columbine who said bullying actually was an issue.
Here are some examples:
“Eric and Dylan did get this every day, and we all knew it, and we all talked about it. We laughed about it because that’s all you can do.” – Brooks Brown Patty Stevens, a special education teacher at Columbine, said bullying was out of hand. She mentioned how she tried to bring it up in staff meetings because of how scared her students were, but to no avail: “They kind of blew me off,” she said. Within a month of school opening in fall 1996, Rocky Hoffschneider and another football player were teasing Stephen Greene’s son Jonathan, who was Jewish. Their favorite bit was singing about Hitler when he made a basket in gym class. The gym teacher, Craig Place — also Hoffschneider’s wrestling coach — did nothing. “They pinned him on the ground and did ‘body twisters,’” Greene said. “He got bruises all over. Then the threats began – about setting him on fire and burning him.” When Greene confronted the principal and Jonathan’s guidance counselor, their response was: “These things can happen.” Valeen Schnurr, who was critically wounded in the massacre, told her mother that bullying happened based on things like race and religion.
There’s probably more I’ve forgotten, but even just with this, people still refuse to accept that bullying was a major factor in their reasoning. Clearly not the only factor, but a big one.
It seems — keyword, seems — to me that Frank just wanted to preserve the school’s image. The idea that everyone was good, kind, and accepting, and that Eric and Dylan were part of that. That they had no real reason to do what they did. To demonize them. Which — yes — they absolutely were, but in a much more complex way than they made it out to be.
I think, with murder in general, people nowadays don’t view it solely as “inhumane,” but sometimes as an outlet for anger. That’s not to excuse or condone anything they did. What I mean by “demonizing” is this: claiming Harris and Klebold had no reason — that they just wanted to hurt people out of nowhere. I don’t think what they did was right or justifiable in any way. But I do think they felt stuck. And “NBK” was their easiest way out — not to graduate or move forward in life, but to die.
On the "Follower vs. Leader" Trope
Another thing — which was briefly mentioned — is the whole “leader and follower” narrative. While it’s possible, I don’t think one led the other. I believe they were both equally disturbed.
You can never know the full truth. I’m not claiming I know more than anyone else. What I’m saying is: people pick this whole thing apart and twist others’ words — or even their own. Uninformed people can choose to get informed, they just… don’t care enough to.
“Eric wanted to kill, Dylan wanted to die”
While I don’t totally dismiss this idea, I do notice how people tend to paint Eric as so much worse than Dylan. In reality, they were both just as bad.
“And when I see that they tried to get mental help for Eric, and how honest they were on the diversion papers (they were straightforward and admitted Eric’s responsibility) — and Sue’s way of phrasing things and straight-up lying to minimize Dylan’s actions (from way before the massacre) — I take things with a grain of salt.”
That’s a Reddit comment someone left under one of Randy Brown’s posts in r/Columbine. I didn’t retype it because I could just copy and paste it — but I agree with that take deeply.
Basement Tapes / Copycats (??)
"the basement tapes have never been released to the public in their entirety. the official reason for withholding the tapes is that they'll make people sympathize with the killers or inspire copycats"
Stupid thing to say, no matter how much you keep from the publics eye there will always be copycats and people who sympathize anyways. You release radioactive clothing, hitmen for hire, more videos and their journals but keep one thing because you're scared?
Definitely not all, but lots of shooters after the massacre, took a liking to columbine as a whole and had an abnormal amount of interest in it. You can never categorize somebody as a copycat unless they outright claim themself as one, but you can definitely speculate it if you look into it enough. What has been released in the time since it happened has already inspired many copycats. So the reasoning is just, well, stupid. It's insanely stupid.
quick note, because I re-read this several times before posting (out of fear of grammar or spelling errors, or overall stupidity). I mentioned that I am not trying to excuse, or condone any of the things that I mention but I want to make it VERY clear. I don't think that bullying is a "reason" to commit anything like this, I do not condone what they did, or what anyone similar has done. I just like to yap, and i've been researching these types of things for years! PLEASE DONT NUKE ME!!!!!
Anyway, Thank you for reading my yap sesh ✧ദ്ദി( ˶^ᗜ^˶ )

LONG LOST MCR INTERVIEW!!!! RARE!!!!! '06
Interviewer: *laughing* "Alright, welcome to this very candid interview with Frank Iero and Gerard Way. Guys, thank you for joining us today!"
**Frank Iero:** "Yeah, no problem! Always a pleasure to be here."
**Gerard Way:** *eyes glued to iPad screen* "Mm-hmm, sure." *quiet chuckle*
**Interviewer:** *glances at Gerard, then back to Frank* "So Frank, we hear you've developed a bit of an admiration for someone—or, um, something—called 'Hawk Tuah Girl'? Care to explain?"
**Frank Iero:** *grinning* "Oh, yeah, Hawk Tuah Girl. She's honestly been on my mind a lot lately. I know it sounds a little random, but there's something about her that's so... powerful, you know? She’s like, this unfiltered force of nature, just breaking through expectations and being unapologetically herself. I love that. I mean, we could all use a little more of that energy."
**Gerard Way:** *barely looking up from his iPad* "Yeah, but does Hawk Tuah Girl ever, like... flush toilets or something?" *snickers to himself*
**Interviewer:** *laughs nervously* "Uhh, Gerard, not exactly the direction I was thinking we were going in, but, Frank, back to Hawk Tuah Girl—what is it about her that stands out to you?"
**Frank Iero:** "Right, right. So, Hawk Tuah Girl, for me, she represents this kind of freedom—like, the freedom to just exist and be a little weird, without needing validation from anyone else. It’s a vibe. A vibe I’m very much here for. Like, if I was ever stuck in a bad place, I think I could look to her as a reminder that being yourself is enough."
**Gerard Way:** *snorts and glances over at Frank* "So, basically, she’s your spirit animal now?"
**Frank Iero:** *laughs* "Yeah, I guess you could say that. She’s like my punk rock superhero."
**Gerard Way:** *muttering under his breath* "I need a superhero who knows how to hit the 'skip' button on Skibidi Toilet."
**Interviewer:** *laughing* "Gerard, are you... watching *Skibidi Toilet* right now?"
**Gerard Way:** *holds up iPad, showing a clip from *Skibidi Toilet* where a dancing character is wildly out of sync with the music* "Uh, yeah. It’s... art."
**Frank Iero:** *grins mischievously* "See, Gerard's whole thing is balancing deep, introspective moments with... *Skibidi Toilet*."
**Gerard Way:** *shrugs* "It’s a balance. You can’t take yourself too seriously all the time, right? Gotta laugh at the weird stuff."
**Interviewer:** *laughing* "Fair enough! So, Frank, it’s safe to say that Hawk Tuah Girl brings a lot of meaning into your life. Would you say she’s changed your perspective on your own art?"
**Frank Iero:** "Oh, definitely. I think, just like her, I’ve been learning to embrace the messiness, the weirdness. The world doesn’t need another ‘perfect’ version of anything. It needs something that feels real. And Hawk Tuah Girl, man, she’s real. She’s like a reminder to just... make noise and have fun while doing it."
**Gerard Way:** *nodding sagely* "Yeah, and *Skibidi Toilet* reminds me that anything can be art if you believe in it hard enough." *pauses* "Also, I think I might need more toilet humor in my life after this interview."
**Interviewer:** *laughing* "Well, there you have it, folks. Frank Iero finds inspiration in Hawk Tuah Girl, and Gerard... well, Gerard is watching *Skibidi Toilet*. Thank you both for such a delightful and slightly chaotic chat today."
**Frank Iero:** "Anytime. But seriously, if you haven’t checked out Hawk Tuah Girl, you need to. It’s a vibe."
**Gerard Way:** *still transfixed by his iPad* "Yeah... it’s all about the vibe." *mutters* "I’m not skipping this one."

Master List
Chapter Four
You didn’t tell anyone about Billy or what had happened in the cellar, knowing that it was your own fault for breaking your own rule and allowing him into your bed.
It was something that you knew you’d have to deal with on your own. And, you decided to do that in your usual way; by avoiding the problem. By avoiding him.
Sam hadn’t been too happy when you asked to switch to day shifts for a few weeks and Jenna had been downright devastated but you managed to spin them both a lie about how you hadn’t been feeling well, and if you didn’t switch to days, you might have to take some time off sick or potentially find a new job.
For all his bluster, Sam didn’t want you to quit. Mostly because he didn’t want to have to interview for a replacement.
Days were quieter and the tips were awful, no matter what you did, but you didn’t see Billy and that almost made up for it.
Most days you found yourself playing on your phone for hours or thumbing through the newspapers that the day-drinkers left lying around. The headlines were as entertaining as they were depressing; there was a crime spree gripping the city, a gang of masked men robbing check exchanges and stealing from other criminals. It was hard to tell if they were the good guys or the bad guys as, day after day, more of their crimes were reported.
And, then, there was the news that the Punisher might be back in the city.
You’d been around the last time, you’d seen the insanity that Frank Castle had wrought on the city and it was enough to make you think about getting out of New York.
Despite the distance you’d managed to create between yourself and Billy, you still found yourself having strange, paranoid flashes; feeling like someone was watching you, following you. You got a few strange phone calls, on your phone and at the bar. You’d answer and there would be nothing but silence. And, every time you went back to your apartment, it felt like someone else had been there. Things seemed to move and disappear completely - but, then, you’d never been the most organised of people so there was never definitive proof.
You even asked your neighbour if she’d seen anyone lurking, but she reassured you that no one had been near your apartment except you.
Quickly, you came to realise that you were fueling your own paranoia by constantly thinking about him, not allowing yourself to forget that night in your bed or the uncomfortable moment in the cellar. And, when you finally pushed it all to the back of your mind, the paranoia started to subside.
Jenna didn’t seem to be dealing with your separation well. Every night she’d text you, begging you to drop by Sam’s for a drink and every night you refused, despite how much you missed your only friend.
When her night off rolled around, she invited you on a girls night out and you couldn’t bring yourself to say no to her.
She met you outside your building, more dressed up than usual, obviously wanting to make this a very special night.
“Promise me you won’t get angry,” Jenna said, looping her arm through yours and fixing you with a grin that could only spell trouble.
You let out a sigh, already knowing you were going to be, in the very least, annoyed with whatever she had planned. “What did you do?”
“I might have told a few people where we were going tonight,” she said, laughing and pulling you along with her.
“Like who?”
“Just a couple of guys from the bar,” she answered cryptically until you gave a tug on her arm and forced her to stop and look at you. “C’mon it’s just Billy and Jake, and maybe some of their friends.”
“Billy?” You repeated. “You told Billy where we’re going tonight?”
“Oh, don’t be like that,” she answered, rolling her eyes. “I know you’ve got that whole not fucking the customers thing, but he’s a nice guy. He’s been keeping me company while you’ve been on day shift. And, honestly, if you’re not gonna fuck him, I think I might have to have a go.”
You let out a sigh, daring to hope that Billy had moved on to Jenna; she definitely wouldn’t put up with any of his creepy shit and she’d have no problem putting him in line if he tried to cause her any problems, unlike you.
“He’s all yours,” you told her, barely managing to hold back a grimace.
“Seriously, are you not even curious?” Jenna asked, still leading you through the New York streets towards your destination.
“Curious about what?”
“About Billy? About what he’d be like in bed?” She asked and you didn’t answer. “I bet he’s wild - I mean, you can tell just by looking at him that he’s well hung...”
“Jesus, Jenna,” you rolled your eyes, trying not to think about how right she was. “Do you want me to go home so you can be alone with him?”
Jenna laughed, nudging her arm into your side. She was truly incorrigible and you knew from experience that nothing you said or did was going to tame that side of her. Jenna was a free spirit, she loved the thought of love almost as much as she loved the thought of men in general and, normally, you wouldn’t mind, but listening to her talking about Billy like that just caused your stomach to knot uncomfortably.
She didn’t answer your question, she was too busy laughing at you as she pulled you into The Styx.
Unlike Sam’s, The Styx had a small dance floor and even had a stage for bands, so despite its bad reputation, most nights there got busy and wild. That night there was a DJ playing and, even though it was still early, it was already starting to fill.
Jenna waved at the bartender, a friend of hers, and one of the few reasons you tolerated drinking there; Mitchell made sure to always serve you and Jenna first, regardless of who else was waiting and he always liked to pour you both doubles.
Mitchell waved back and, before you’d even managed to shrug out of your jacket, there were two shots on the bar in front of you.
Jenna lifted her glass and smiled the sort of smile that spelled trouble each and every time you saw it. But, still, you raised your glass and clinked it against hers before knocking back the shot. The cheap vodka burned as it hit the back of your throat and, already, you could tell that it was going to be a very long night. While Jenna chatted with Mitchell, you let your gaze wander around the bar, looking for familiar faces and hoping that Jake and Billy would not show up. There were a few people you recognised, some guys who drank at Sam’s from time to time and others who you’d met on nights out with Jenna, but there was no one you really knew, no one you’d be comfortable approaching if Jenna decided to ditch you at any point.
Half an hour went by and you quickly lost track of how many shots Mitchell had placed in front of you, every drink and every minute that passed helping you relax a little more. The music soon got livelier and you soon allowed yourself to be dragged onto the dancefloor by Jenna.
You lost yourself to the beat, happily dancing close to your friend, laughing as she turned to grind her ass against you - that was what you loved about Jenna, her ability to have fun and not give a damn what anyone around her thought. You, on the other hand, felt your cheeks warming at the spectacle.
That’s when you felt it, that prickling sensation on the back of your neck that had you looking towards the bar.
And there he was, his gaze already fixed on you.
Jenna soon noticed and, before you could stop her, she had you by the hand and was pulling you towards the bar.
“Hi!” She said, grinning at Billy and Jake, who both offered their own greetings over the sound of the music.
You just stood awkwardly at Jenna’s side, looking anywhere but at Billy.
“Not seen you around in a while,” Jake said, giving you a friendly nudge, forcing your attention back to the group, “thought you might have gone and got another job.”
“No, I just wanted a change from the nightshift,” you told him, finally letting your gaze flit to Billy for a second.
In that second at least a dozen different thoughts and feelings seemed to pass between the two of you. He seemed surprised and confused, and you made it very clear it was because of him, which only seemed to confuse him more. But you didn’t say it. You didn’t say anything to him and he didn’t say anything to you.
“Everyone grab a shot,” Jenna said, breaking through the tension like a wrecking ball.
You let out an audible groan as another drink was forced into your hand - it was green like toilet cleaner and it tasted just as foul. Even Billy and Jake winced as it went down.
Billy took it upon himself to wave Mitchell over and order the next round of drinks, and everyone ended up with a whiskey in their hand. As usual, he pulled out a roll of cash and, for the millionth time since he’d shown up almost three weeks ago, you wondered where he was getting the money, doubting it was from anything legal.
“I see a table,” Jenna said, grabbing you by the wrist and pulling you towards it, the two men trailing after you.
Taking a seat, you settled in, knowing that you’d probably spend the rest of the night at the table now that Jenna had other distractions to keep her occupied.
“So what have you been doin’ with your evenings without us?” Jake asked, seeming a little more amped up than usual. “Hope you’ve not found yourself a man ‘cause I’m still waiting for my shot.”
“Sorry, Jake,” you said apologetically.
While Jake didn’t realise it, he’d given you the perfect opportunity to create a lie, to make Billy think you were off the table and show him, once and for all, that you weren’t interested.
“Wait, what?” Jenna asked. “You met someone? And you were gonna tell me about this when?”
You shrugged. “It’s early days, I didn’t want to jinx it.”
Your eyes flitted to Billy who was staring at you intently, his dark eyes seeming to look right through you, as if he could tell you were lying.
“And what does this new man do?” Billy asked.
You watched a he leaned forward a little, closing the distance between you and making you feel the full weight of his scrutiny
“He teaches English and poetry at an all boys school,” you answered quickly, reaching for the first lie to come to mind.
Billy didn’t seem convinced, but he didn’t have time to voice his doubts before Jenna was on her feet again, proclaiming that she loved the song that had just started playing and demanding someone danced with her.
You didn’t want to, and Billy stayed silent, leaving it to Jake to agree. And as she dragged him off towards the dance floor, you realised your mistake.
Sitting back, you waited, expecting him to say something, expecting him to become the man he’d been in the cellar. But he didn’t. He stayed silent, letting his gaze drift after Jake and Jenna, watching his friend light up as Jenna danced a little closer than he was expecting her to.
It gave you a moment to watch him, to study him.
It felt like there was something different about him tonight - or, maybe, there had been something different about him the last time you saw him. Though, actually, when you thought about it, it felt like he was a different person each and every time you saw him.
You saw the way he turned his head when he caught anyone looking his way, the way his shoulder ticked upwards as if he was trying to shrug it off. And you saw the way people were looking at him, the way they’d look and then quickly look away because they didn’t want to be caught staring at the freak.
As angry as you were at Billy, and as uncomfortable as his presence made you feel, you wanted to punch someone.
There were reasons to mistrust him, reasons to be unsettled by him, but none of those reasons had anything to do with the scars on his face.
You took to glaring at anyone who you caught giving him those kinds of glances, making sure they felt guilty the second they looked away. And it wasn’t long before Billy noticed your silent defence of him. That’s when he chose to speak up.
“Dead Poets Society.”
“What?” You asked, heart stuttering in your chest.
“Do you get all your lies from movies?”
“No,” you answered sharply, “sometimes I use books.”
His lips pulled into a smile, enjoying the moment, enjoying having caught you in yet another lie.
“I’m starting to wonder if anyone knows the real you, kitten,” he said, moving into the empty seat beside you.
“You don’t need to know me, Billy.”
“You’re wrong. I do. I need to know everything about you.”
You didn’t respond, desperate not to get pulled into whatever game he was trying to play with you. You couldn’t even look at him because every time you saw that smirk on his face, you were reminded of that night in your apartment and the way he’d smirked at you each and every time he’d made you come.
A couple more minutes were allowed to pass in silence before he spoke again.
“What did I do wrong?” He finally dared to ask. “Why are you so pissed at me?”
You could only look at him with a mixture of shock and confusion, not understanding how he didn’t realise why you were so desperate to keep your distance from him.
“I don’t get it,” he continued, “you sure as fuck weren’t complaining when I was in your bed.”
Nervously, you glanced around, not wanting anyone to overhear that you’d slept with Billy. Thankfully, Jenna and Jake were still dancing, and no one else around seemed to care even if they could hear him.
“Seriously? You don’t get it?” You asked and Billy gave you one of his uncomfortable shrugs, reminding you of his scarred shoulder and the way you’d stared at him as he slept next to you. “Following me into the cellar, telling me that I’m ‘yours’ - is any of this ringing any bells?”
There was a flicker of discomfort, a split second where he looked like he might finally understand, and you didn’t expect it from him.
“You wouldn’t talk to me,” he said, trying to justify his actions. “You practically kicked me out of your apartment, then you started acting like I don’t exist.”
“What did you expect? I told you from the start, I don’t sleep with customers.”
“I don’t know, I just didn’t expect... that,” he answered, a hint of frustration slipping into his voice.
You didn’t have a response for him, you didn’t know how best to explain it any more than you already had. You couldn’t tell him why you chose to live that way any more than you could tell him why you often chose to hide behind lies.
“This -” he started and stopped awkwardly, lifting his hand, holding it near his face.
Silence fell again for a few seconds, but a different kind of silence, it was tense and thick with discomfort. His discomfort. There was frustration and confusion on his face, like he couldn’t find the words, almost like he couldn’t even remember the words he wanted to say.
“This thing, it -” then came the anger, not aimed at you but at himself, at his sudden inability to express what he wanted to say.
His hand slammed down on the table in frustration. You flinched, recoiling a little, and Billy noticed.
“If I was gonna hurt you, don’t you think I would’ve done it by now?” He asked, this time turning some of his anger towards you. “I’d never hurt you.”
You stayed silent, your gaze shifting to Jenna, hoping beyond hope that she’d come back to the table. But she was too busy dancing, having attracted two more men to her side.
“I used to be good at this,” he said, his voice softening, his hands slipping into his short hair, holding his head, fingers scratching over concealed scars. “I used to be good at talking to women and -” he left the thought unfinished, but you could fill in the blanks. “But now, because of this I’m...”
The pang of sympathy inside you came unbidden, knotting your stomach with discomfort. You didn’t want to feel sorry for him but you could see how much he was struggling, how much pain he was in.
He’d told you that he couldn’t remember what had happened to him and you’d assumed that he still struggled with the trauma of it, regardless of being able to remember it, and seeing him this way just confirmed it.
“I’m sorry about all that,” you said, forcing yourself to speak, to fill the silence and hopefully put an end to things, “but it was one night, Billy. I told you, I like to keep things separate. The bar is work and out in the real world is the rest of my life...” you shrugged.
In a moment of daring stupidity, you reached for him, placing your hand over his, feeling the tension in his fingers, the way he was pressing them against his own head, as if he was trying to hold himself together.
You didn’t expect Billy to flinch at the contact, for him to pull back as if your touch burned. Then he looked at you, his expression betraying his uncertainty. He shook his head, like he was trying to shake away whatever darkness had suddenly gripped him. Then he reached for his drink, knocking it back.
“I get it,” he said, almost as if the last few minutes hadn’t even happened, like he was suddenly back to his usual self - whoever the fuck that was. “I like to be on my own sometimes too.”
“Who says I’m on my own?” You asked, annoyed, feeling like you were getting whiplash just from talking to him.
“People stop by the bar to see Jenna all the time and she’s always got stories,” he said with a shrug. “Only time I’ve ever heard you mention anything happening outside the bar that wasn’t a lie was when you told her about the physiotherapist who couldn’t get you off.”
How had he managed to read you so easily?
How was it that he managed to see through you where others couldn’t?
“Yeah, well, I don’t like people,” you answered, tone betraying your irritation.
“I’m not people.”
“No, Billy, you’re a pain in the ass.”
“Maybe, but you’re only lying to yourself here,” he said leaning closer. “You don’t have to like me to want me, kitten. And I know you want me. Eventually, you’re going to realise it too.”
You shook your head. “If you’re looking for someone to fuck tonight, you’ll have better luck with Jenna.”
You didn’t let him answer, you didn’t wait for any sort of response. Without warning, you got to your feet and headed to join Jenna on the dance floor.
She let out a squeal as you approached her, grabbing you and pulling you close, starting to dance with you. Again, you quickly fell into step with her, losing yourself in the music.
After a few songs, you found someone handing you a drink - one of Jenna’s new friends - and you downed it without hesitation, watching as Jenna did the same.
It continued like that, song after song, you and Jenna dancing together, until she found a guy she wanted to throw her arms around. Normally, that was the point in the evening where you would head to the bar and keep Mitchell company but, every time you dared to look, you saw Billy watching you.
On the dance floor you felt safe, daring to believe that he’d keep his distance.
And, for a while, he did.
The drinks kept coming and you kept knocking them back, the alcohol settling your discomfort and allowing you to just enjoy yourself. Until one of the guys who’d been bringing you drinks started to get a little handsy.
He placed a hand on your hip and tried to pull you towards him, unperturbed when you tried to push him back. He stepped in front of you again, both hands on your waist this time, trying to pull your body against his.
You were about to push him away when you saw his eyes widen a fraction, and you felt an arm possessively snake around your waist, pulling you back. He muttered something that sounded like an apology, but not to you, to the man who was now holding you.
“I’m willing to put up with a lot, kitten, but you’re pushing my limits,” Billy muttered in your ear.
A shiver ran down your spine, feeling his lips brush against your earlobe with each word. His hold on you tightened, stopping you from pulling away from him.
“You look so good out here,” he continued, the slightest hint of need in his tone. “Just let me have one dance.”
Part of you didn’t want to, but a much drunker part of you saw it as an opportunity to get some revenge, to show him that he couldn’t have what he wanted. You were going to rile him up, frustrate him, and then deny him. You were going to show him not to mess with you. A plan that, in your intoxicated state, you didn’t think could possibly backfire.
“Fine. One dance,” you conceded.
Without another word, you started to move your hips, your hand covering his on your stomach, enjoying the heat of his touch as it bled through your dress. He held you closer and you felt him start to sway with the music, his chest against your back.
“You’re the only person who makes me feel like I’m not losing my mind,” he muttered against your ear. “You’ve got no idea what you do to me, kitten, how much you make me want.”
The admission left you feeling breathless and more confused than ever, your inebriated mind trying to understand him from all the broken pieces he’d let you see. Regardless of what you thought or how you felt, there was just something about him, something you couldn’t deny. He seemed as lost as you often felt, and you felt a strange connection to him, an understanding that neither of you seemed to want to address.
His lips pressed to your neck and you leaned in to his touch, pressing back against him as you moved your hips. Billy let out a ragged sigh against your neck and you felt a tell-tale bulge growing in his jeans. You started to grind your ass against him in time with the faster tempo of the music, enjoying that you could have that effect on him. It made you feel powerful, like you were the one in charge for a change.
You knew that you were being stupid, that you were allowing yourself to indulge in something that was going to cause you problems, but you didn’t care. And, despite your initial plan, you quickly realised that you weren’t proving any sort of point to Billy. All you were doing was turning him on.
And getting turned on yourself.
His lips returned to your neck again, teeth scraping over skin and pulling a soft moan from you, and that little slip was all you needed to know that you’d fucked up.
The second the song stopped, you slipped from his hold and started to walk away from him. You’d told him one song and that was what you’d given him. Now, you needed to put as much distance between you as possible.
Slipping into the bathroom, you started to shut the door behind you, only for him to stop you, pushing his way inside. He closed the door and locked it before turning his attention to you.
You didn’t say anything, even though you knew that you should.
He looked at you for a moment, then he was on you, his hands framing your face as he pulled you into a desperate kiss. And you let him, kissing him back against your better judgement, tasting the whiskey on his lips and tongue.
It was a bad idea, but part of you couldn’t help but want him.
You wanted him to make you feel the way he had that night in your bed.
More than that, you wanted to be wanted by someone who saw you, someone who could see past the bullshit and lies that you surrounded yourself with.
But common sense started to wage war on your drunken horniness. Your hands found his chest and pushed him away.
Billy regarded you for a second, his gaze burning through you, causing your cheeks to heat and your thighs to clench.
“Give in to me,” he groaned, lips covering yours again before you had the chance to respond.
Despite what you thought you wanted, you lost yourself in the kiss, trembling in anticipation as you felt his soft hand trailing up your thigh and under your dress leaving goosebumps in its wake. You barely noticed as he lifted you onto the counter.
“I can’t,” you told him breathlessly.
But, again, you didn’t even attempt to pull away when he kissed you, silencing your protests. Your mind said no, but every other fibre of your being was screaming yes.
His leg unceremoniously pressed between yours, parting your thighs so he could step between them, holding them apart and allowing his hand to continue upwards. You felt your cheeks start to burn, knowing what he’d find when those roving fingers reached your panties; you were already wet, your body already anticipating his touch.
His breath caught the moment his fingers reached wet lace. You felt his lips pull into a smile as he continued to kiss you, stealing your breath.
Billy slipped his fingers into your panties and let out a low, desperate groan, sounding like it had been years and not a few weeks since he’d last touched you. You tried not to make a sound as his fingertips stirred between your folds, easily coating themselves in your arousal. But once you felt a finger slide between your walls, you let out a moan that was just as eager as his actions.
“So wet and ready for me. Admit it, you need this. You need me,” he muttered against your lips before sinking into the kiss again so you couldn’t respond.
You hated that he was right, that he could have such an effect on you, that he could make you want and need in equal measure. But, more than that, you hated how good it felt as that finger started to move, stroking in and out of your body at such a delicious pace.
A second finger joined the first and you felt about ready to lose your mind, climbing higher and higher, already getting close to an earth-shattering orgasm. His lips hungrily swallowed down every moan that tried to escape you and you almost felt yourself surrendering to him.
You wanted to give in to him, to the pleasure you knew he could offer for a few sweet minutes. But Billy had made it clear that he didn't just want a moment, and that every kiss, every touch, and every orgasm bestowed came with the price of his ownership. This wasn’t about your pleasure, it was about him staking a claim on you, and that was something you didn’t want.
“Stop,” you said, finally managing to find your voice and your common sense.
To his credit, Billy stopped immediately, but he didn’t pull away.
“You don’t want me to stop, not when you’re so close,” he told you, his lips ghosting yours.
You took an awkward breath, trying to ignore the way his still fingers felt inside you, trying to ignore the little voice in your head that demanded you let him finish what he’d started.
“Yes, I do,” you answered back, breathless and having to force the words from your lips. “I’m not yours, Billy.”
As he leaned, your breath caught and you froze as his lips met yours again. He kissed you, but only for a second, then he was pulling away, his hand slipping from beneath your dress, leaving you feeling bereft. And you watched as he lifted that hand to his face, slipping his fingers between his lips, giving a hungry groan as he sucked them clean. Your stomach tied itself in knots and you found yourself filled with the realisation that this was far from over, and that Billy wasn’t going to give up so easily.
“You’re wrong, kitten. You are mine,” he said as he turned back towards the door. “Keep working the day shift if you want, but you’re not going to be able to avoid me forever. I'll make sure of it.”
And, then, he was gone, leaving you alone with nothing but your own racing heart.
End Note : I know that reader is all over the place in this one... it will be explained and built upon in later chapters as to why she is the way she is, just like I'm going to be playing more into Billy's injuries as things go on. Anyway, hope you all enjoy this chapter!!
As always your comments/likes/reblogs/asks/general screaming is always cherished and appreciated. I hope you all have an amazing weekend!
Let me know if you'd like to be tagged in future chapters! If tagging doesn't work for some reason (aka Tumblr being dumb) I post most Fridays around 7:30 gmt (and on AO3 at some point in the hours after).

Can I just say that I lost, regained, lost again but now regained my hope in MCR5??
This last week was really something.
I feel like with the whole L.S. Dunes album, MCR wouldn't release new music because obviously Frank is going to be busy with that. Like that is what made me not believe in it instead of Frank verbally saying that he doesn't think that MCR will ever work on any new music again.
But also, the day after night one of WWWYF I just started thinking to myself, they look like they're really enjoying this and that made me think why wouldn't they want to release new music, or at least tour again??
For the whole year, I had told myself that if MCR5 wasn't announced at When We Were Young, it's not happening. But this morning after watching that livestream, I couldn't even bring myself to be sad about it because I was on such a high from seeing them perform for two nights in a row. It was only until I was in period 3 Spanish which was so fucking boring might I add I don't like my teacher I want my other one back, that I realised that this probably meant no MCR5. Like they seriously looked like they had no intention of doing anything else after this festival from that performance.
But then I just thought to myself again. That whole "gift of music" shit made me think that maybe, just maybe we'll get MCR5. Obviously Gerard was referring to them performing live, but guys I am so fucking delusional and I do genuinely believe it's real. I don't think that Danger Days will be their last ever work, because it just doesn't sit right with me. After what we saw at When We Were Young Festival, the black funeral-looking outfits, the stuff being displayed behind them, I don't think they would want their last work to be something fun and colourful like Danger Days but something more mature and dark. I guess you could argue that's what Foundations is, but I don't think Foundations is enough to sum up this era of MCR.
As well as that, we know they like playing live. Gerard literally said it during the Return tour and Frank mentioned how he thought of MCR headlining Reading & Leeds (oh my god please do, this one I can actually go to) in a kerrang interview in January this year.
Do I think that it's happening any time soon? No. Do I think that it will happen? Yes. Maybe late 2025, 2026.
As for Frank saying that he doesn't think that MCR will make any new music, I quite simply don't believe him, especially after what he said about MCR's return like DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN GUYS
I'm not trying to be pessimistic, and in all honesty, I am praying that MCR's instagram is gonna make a surprise post and tell us that a fifth album is real the next morning, but I really wanted to post this somewhere and I made this blog to yap about my special interest so I'm sorry if this has upset anyone
If anyone has read this far, please leave your opinion in the comments I wanna hear what other people are thinking

"He never used his star power — never. Maybe he should have."
Actress Millie Perkins on working with Elvis Presley

Millie Perkins (87 years old) was born in May 12, 1936 in Passaic, New Jersey. Perkins is now retired from working in film and television besides a modelling career as well. After playing the title role in the 1959 movie "THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK", "WILD IN THE COUNTRY" (1961) was Millie Perkins's second movie. She was just about Elvis' own age when they worked together. The filming for Wild In The Country took place between November 1960 and January 1961. Millie was a 24-year-old actress and Elvis turned 26 by the time the movie principal photography was finished in January 1961. In a 1990 interview she talked a bit about her impressions on Elvis Presley while working with him in the early 60s:
"Elvis turned out to be someone I liked very much. I felt there was a man with a heart and soul there who truly cared about people. Certainly he treated me as if he cared about me; there was a mutual respect between us. But his life was on a level that my life was not on. I was married to Dean Stockwell at the time, and he was — I felt like he was drifting. The guys were on the set every day, you know, wrestling on the floor. I didn’t even know what girls he was dating at the time, because it didn’t interest me, his personal life seemed so silly. And yet I knew he was a victim of it. I felt like Philip Dunne [Wild In The Country's director] fawned all over Elvis. Elvis’ attitude was — I saw Elvis looking around that set and summing up people faster than anyone else could have, and I felt that after a short period of time he was disappointed in Philip Dunne, but he was too polite and well behaved to say anything. He tried very hard to make this film better than his other movies, and you saw him trying and asking questions. And I just believe the sad thing is that [the director] did not have the ability to help Elvis through it. I remember doing this one scene; we were sitting in the truck, and we were supposed to be driving home from a dance or going to a dance, and in the script he was supposed to break into song, turn on the radio and start singing. And to me it was like, "Yuck," I was very young, and I thought, "My sisters are going to tease me, this is so embarrassing and tasteless." You see, I was a snob, too. But — and this was the nicest thing — while we were rehearsing, finally the director walked away, and Elvis looks at me and says, "God, this is so embarrassing. Nobody would ever do this in real life. Why are they making me do this?" So there we were, both of us having to do something and we just wanted to vomit. He never used his star power — never. Maybe he should have. Maybe he did it on some other level, but he sure didn’t do it on the set. I felt like he was younger than me, this very humble person who would make statements about what he believed in. And I would think, "He’s saying that to show me he’s a fine human being." All I know is that there was a person there with a refined heart and soul, and I say refined on any level you want to look at it. When you meet someone like that, you know they’re there, even if they’re sitting there eating fifteen lollipops — that’s beside the point. That’s just what they’re doing at that time, but that’s not the essence of the person. The essence of Elvis was as fine a person as I’ve ever met; he treated me as well as anyone has ever treated me in this business."
— Millie Perkins (Betty Lee Parsons in Wild In The Country) about working with Elvis Presley. This 1990's interview excerpt was taken from the book in which it was quoted, "Careless Love: The Unmaking of Elvis Presley" by Peter Guralnick (1998).
Millie Perkins as Betty Lee Parsons and Elvis Presley as Glenn Tyler in Wild In The Country (1961)
Millie Perkins as Anne Frank in George Stevens' "The Diary of Anne Frank" (1959).

F.T.Willz Theory PT. 1
Made by a Brazilian page (Not mine, I'm only translating).
Original content (PORTUGUESE, BRAZIL):
Some people may already know this theory, but it's always worth adding more details.
I’ll show you the evidence I found in my research and the theory I’ve developed from it. I’m not copying anyone's theory;
I’m inspired by some, but there are things here that I wrote myself. I’m saying this upfront because I know some people will try to criticize me.
F.T. Willz was a MySpace account in 2008, where someone, supposedly writing a book for Skeletor Crew (a company owned by Frank Iero), posted poems about their life and other texts.

But what makes everyone think that ‘F.T.Willz’ is Frank Iero's codename?
Who is F.T.Willz?
So, as we can see, it says there about the supposed book for the Skeleton Crew, titled 'May Those Words Set Fire to Your Soul,' approximately 20 pages long.
'May those words set your soul on fire.' Interesting, isn't it?
Okay, now things are about to get interesting.
Status: Swinger
What is a Swinger: a person who dates/sleeps with multiple people at the same time.
HA! You all know what I mean, right? Jamia… and who could the other person be that he’s sleeping with…? Remember the interview, "He sleeps naked when he sleeps with me."
Hometown: X
Yes, this is the most interesting part, and I’ll try to explain it briefly. Frank F;T;Willz didn't seem to answer this without thinking. As much as I try to ignore it, I can’t forget about his bird tattoos, on Gerard's autograph, and on the Leathermouth album. And what does the ‘X’ represent? But let’s save that for another theory.
Zodiac sign: Scorpio
Who has a scorpion tattoo on their neck and is also a Scorpio?
Occupation: FlowerPickin
Watch the video:
youtube
Gerard: It springs out of the fabric, like a flower. It looks… it just blooms out like a flower. Frank knows… he’s seen it…. I’m a man, I ain’t got no flower, you know what I’m saying? No flower… well [Frank] has seen it, and he says it looks like a flower. He’s probably right.
Gerard says that Frank has already seen his… and that it looks like a flower.
Occupation: flower gatherer. flower grabber. hhhm Ha
PantySniffin: panty sniffer – how straight of him.
Whiskeydrinkinbum: whiskey-drinking bum. – alright;
Now let’s understand MCR’s situation in 2008/2009:
After the Projekt Revolution tour in 2007, where MCR participated, they continued the tour with The Black Parade album. They even came to Brazil and everything.
The Black Parade is Dead! was recorded on October 7, 2007, and released on July 1, 2008.
This was the time when Frank had stomach issues and gained some weight.
This was also the period when things started to get tense in Gerard/Frank's relationship.
Leathermouth was created in 2007, but their first show was only in the fall of 2008, when Frank decided that whenever he had no commitments with MCR, he would be touring with Leathermouth, joining Reggie and the Full Effect's "Farewell Tour." In October 2008, they signed with Epitaph Records and released the album XØ in 2009.
It was after Gerard’s wedding on September 1, 2007.
On February 5, 2007, Frank married Jamia.
Notable similarities between Frank’s current website and F.T. Willz’s MySpace.
One thing I've always noticed when reading Frank's poems is his avoidance of capital letters; he seems to really dislike them, even in titles or names’ first letters, completely disregarding their use. Now let’s look at the "About" section of F.T. Willz above.
‘may those words set fire to your soul’ without capital letters, even though it’s a book title. I wanted to point out this detail so you can also notice it in these other poems.
The explicit similarity between the poems posted in 2008 and more recently.
February 2008 -> January 2013
Now notice something else, the post time: '1:06' A.M.
Doesn't it seem suspicious to you? Only having time to post in the middle of the night.
Both complain about technology.
Now, I will post all the poems by F.T. Willz that I found. Just a reminder, I will analyze all of them and post them throughout the theories. If you want to skip all the poems, right after that, I will talk about other evidence I found about Frank as ftwillz. -
Positive Ireforcement
I heard recently that a lady died from drinking a fanta whose top was tainted by a mixture of rat piss, sawdust, and holiday spice. What a legacy you’ve left behind mam. Death by Fanta. I’ll bet she was fucking shocked by those amazing turn of events. I mean really? Work out, eat right, and then bam! A fanta! Those things are supposed to be fucking refreshing. Somethings gotta give. Oh and by the way, irving “magic” Johnson is currently living hiv negative. What kind of god allows something like that? Fuck you Africa, you need at least 2 nba championships under your belt before I even consider giving you a miracle cure. Continue to pray for bags of rice, there’s no way any of you will ever be able to afford this cocktail. Is this the world we live in? full of poison fantas and a lakers fanatic pulling the strings? Shit if its gonna be that kind of party, Im gonna drink 40oz of liquid plummer.

From my head to my middle finger, i really think i like you.
I’m a little coffee pot short, stout, and burnt beyond recognition. Sour to the taste and an and, and an and, and the end.
what a dark mess of chemicals we have become.
look through my caffeinated eyes my love. i see the sun in all its ultra violet glory. it beckons me to abort my life of painstaking procrastination.
….and all i want for x-mas is to fly 2 blunts deep.
i drive for days and sleep for miles, but never a drop to drink. No Control, but not exactly a riot either. fuck me you’re such a riot.
i’ve found healing powers beyond my wildest dreams behind your lips. i am the dinosaur soaring towards extinction. So smoke ‘em if ya got ‘em kids…..cause Joe Camel needs the pocket cash. or just read ‘em and weep sweetheart cause my royal flush comes with a love note. i bleed spades, you draw horses…..
may the lord strike down our penniless heroes,
for if not we must take matters into our own hands.
everything will be new when we open our eyes for the first time.
so i’ll pick you up at 7 and we’ll have a real shitty time, but at least we’ll have a time. i’d love you to hate my guts if they weren’t already covered in ulcers…ulcers only a mother could love.
so for now peace love and misdemeanors,
cause i plan on being out of step for awhile my dear.

More stuff from my cancerous brain…
“Shit’s bananas when you’re disinterested.”
Mein Kompfy sweat pants and your old sweater met their match today.
They danced through our phone conversation, and fought the whole time i ate pancakes.
The 3 of us thought of you when i bit my lip, denounced god, went blind with rage, and even when i typed this meaningless drab until 6 in the morning.
I think they’re going to be good (meaningless) friends. Not the kind that are nice to each others faces and talk shit the moment the other has left the room. More like the kind that meet by fucking the same mutual friends a week apart, cause they are young and carefree and have so much in common, not cause they are roach infested whores.
They look so happy together, great things are going to come of this, i promise.
When you come home I’ll show you. (if i can only get those hideous stains out.)
We’ll laugh til our noses bleed, and the windows shatter.
You are mine my darling, and the world, yes the world shall be ours.
-F.T. WillZ 08
12 was a good year
My head is pounding, my intestines growl…(I wish I could just go to fucking sleep)… my makeshift bedroom is quaking under me.
My dream house rattles down route number in the hundreds traveling at a speed of 65 mph through the beautiful state of starts with a consonant.
No one makes a waking sound.
A breath of fresh air, a shooting pain in my new jersey lungs (home is where half my heart is).
Brittle fucking bones, a nicotine crutch, an idiot’s wisdom, and a crooked smile.
Who the fuck is really genuine anyway? Everyone’s god is a liar. Everyone’s face is a mask.
You can take a pill to fix almost anything these days…(fuck) especially if you got the scratch. It’s a shame they can’t do more with false hope. (Shut up, shut up, just fucking shut me up.)
Hearts break, arteries clog, minds race, and all heroes will eventually fail (or just grow tired of the ungrateful people they help).
What a fucking waste… How many trees have to die for this complaint set to ink. One day when you run out of air (or shade) you’ll hate me for this. Maybe I’ll feel bad or just blow it off with a smile (crooked teeth, ugly smile), either way I’m sure we’ll both move on ramble on ramble on ramble on ramble onand onandonandoandon…

A poet, a prophet, a motherfucking puppet, a modern-day ____ (fill-in the blank), nature’s ____ (insert noun here).
Show me who you are on the inside…really? Me too. We’re so alike, where did you grow up? NO FUCKING WAY! A small town? That’s so weird; no one ever listens to me either. Wow. What a small world (exclamation point) LOL. We should be friends, what’s your number? Wanna hang out sometime? Are you on Myfriendsmakeoutspace-ster (fuckeachotherfuckeachotherfuckeachother) club? Me too. Wanna fuck? I’m just like you. Can I borrow your car? Live at your house? Eat your pets? Kill your parents? We’re so perfect together, (for each other)…opportunity is knocking do you hear it? BANGBANG. I wrote song about you, it has 25 different parts that don’t belong together. I scream and cry and there’s no melody whatsoever, you’ll love it, listen to it everyday…until all your friends like it too, then you’ll say it sucks and call me a sellout. Do you wanna get matching tattoos, have the same haircut, go steady, and just be friends so we can fuck everyone else who looks just like us, thinks like us, and feels like us too? Fuck, look at me, look at me, right here, right in my fucking eyes. Can you see it? No? Look closer then. How about now? No? Maybe it’s the atrocious lighting in here. Wait let me take a crooked picture with my hair in my face while I cut your name into my thigh. Do you see it now? You don’t see anything? Nothing at all? Are you sure? Positive? Weird, me either, small fucking world huh?

Now other proofs

Look there. It's 'FTW'.
.
Now, something I’ve never heard anyone talk about but has always crossed my mind:
The song F.T.W.W.W. from the EP The Mad Gear and Missile Kid, which I want to write a theory about within the Danger Days theory: the secrets of the ‘Killjoys,’ which I’ll post soon.
Lavendear here! Wait for part two! Xo

All That Matters, i.
pairing: cocky!tattoo artist!frank castle x afab!reader
summary: working with a world renowned tattoo artist who knows his own beauty has more cons than pros. the main one being that he's infuriating and it turns you on.
warnings: mentions of female masturbation, general banter between frank and reader, jealous reader??, mutual pining but they're both idiots, cocky frank duh!, tattooed frank with long hair!!, no use of y/n or descriptions of reader, not proofread
word count: 920 words
authors note: this was supposed to just be a fic but i couldn't help myself but tattoo!artist frank is so yummy and I think about him all the time!!
find the masterlist here! read the next part here!

The blacked out camaro pulled into the parking lot, your eyes rolling the instant you could hear the bass from inside the shop. He never even had the windows down, that was the worst part, it was just that loud. He had no care for anyone else, he was arrogant and just overall a cunt. You hated working with Frank Castle.
You always heard him before you saw him, whether it was his car that gave away his presence or his voice. You were astonished that his hearing wasn’t damaged, if you could hear the bass of his music from inside the shop you couldn’t imagine how loud it was inside the car. Thankfully, his booth was quieter than his car. Aside from his voice. His voice was deep, raspy, and it carried. Carried itself all the way to the reception desk where you sat, annoyed you had to listen to it.
It was sexy, you couldn’t deny that. You often came to the thought of him whispering dirty things in your ear, calling you a pretty girl.
“What song is it today?” You asked as the bell above the door rang, indicating the biggest nuisance in your life had entered the building.
“Pills and automobiles.” He answered, leaning over the counter to try and look at his schedule for the day.
“Thinking of how many girls you get wet?” You teased, handing him the clipboard of clients he should already know about.
“You know it, baby.” He winked, scanning the names to see his first appointment and handing it back to you.
“Fuck off.” You rolled your eyes, kicking your feet up on the desk and watching him walk away.
You were one of those girls, no matter how much he irritated you after every conversation with him there was a small wet patch on your underwear. Maybe that was why he infuriated you so much, because he seemed unreachable. You were sure most of the girls who came into the shop just wanted to get a good look at him, his clientele was mainly women. Sure, they paid well and he appreciated the attention but nothing got him as hard as the woman who didn’t want him. You.
His cocky attitude was, mostly, a front. He knew he looked good and felt it would be a crime to withhold it from the world, all the ladies seemed to enjoy it. He wasn’t the fuckboy you thought him to be, sure he flirted with any woman who threw herself at him. But he couldn’t remember the last time he had sex, not since you started working at the shop. He’d been trying to earn you over since the second he sat in on your interview and officially became the receptionist. He needed you.
You scrolled the yelp reviews, scrunching your nose at every one that mentioned Frank and how attractive he was. There were so many, you did this almost every day. And for what? To torture yourself. Obviously. What else was there to do when every artist was busy for the next few hours?
“Excuse me.” The voice snapped you out of your annoyed delusion, causing you to snap your eyes upwards to the man standing on the opposite side of the counter.
“What can I do for you?” You smiled, admiring the brown fluffy hair the man had, tilting your head at the red tinted glasses he was wearing.
“Is Frank in? I need to speak with him for a minute.” The man responded, looking right through you.
“Give me a second.” You smiled, getting up from your seat and making your way to Frank’s booth.
You slid the curtain open and rolled your eyes at the girl who was trying her absolute hardest to get his attention but failing miserably, his expression was blank and frankly he looked bored.
“Some guy with red glasses is here for you, Frankie.” You mocked the girl in the chair, maybe it was because you were jealous of her proximity to him or maybe it was something else.
Frank muttered something about taking ten to the girl and placed his equipment down, giving you a confused expression, and making his way to the lobby. You gave the girl a smile and followed after him. If you couldn’t have him the next best thing was to cockblock him, you were amazing at that. By the time you reached the front the two men were in a deep conversation about something you couldn’t hear, they were talking in hushed whispers.
You sat back down at your desk and busied yourself in busy work, trying to listen in but failing. Every time you looked up Frank was looking your way, turning back to the mystery man every time you made eye contact. You watched him run his fingers through his hair, watching it fall back into place neatly, his tattoos stretching around his bicep as it flexes.
“Thanks, Matt. I’ll get back to you about it all later. Just give her your number and we’ll be good.” Frank spoke calmly, motioning towards you but you weren’t entirely sure the man could see it, turning away to get back to his work.
“I’m Matt Murdock, by the way!” He introduced himself once he made it back to the desk, putting his hand out to shake after you introduced yourself.
He gave you his number and was on his way back out the door, just as he did your phone buzzed.
He’s blind, quit staring.

Things that The Marauders fandom say that pisses me off
warning: i will not be holding back. if you are sensitive do not read. feel free to disagree or anything in the replies but don't be a dick
i'm only doing this cause i'm bored and have a lot of rage in me
also just to be clear if we're mutuals then i'm not on about you :)
"It's so sad that one of the only things we have in cannon is the prank"
or something along those lines. If knowing that the prank is cannon makes you upset then I have some great news for you. Nobody cared about the prank in cannon!!!! it's literally just another Tuesday for the Marauders and not once does anybody lose any friends or hold any grudges about it!! yay, now you can sleep at night!
"Dumbledore raised an army of children twice"
I've already spoken about this before but for anyone who wasn't here please know that this is a lie! Neither time did Dumbledore raise an army of children. You had to be an adult to join The Order and although the Marauders were young they were not children. As for everyone else, their ages are not confirmed. We are the ones who made Marlene and Dorcas the same age as them. For all we know The Marauder's could've been the youngest in the Order by far. As for the DA, Dumbledore literally had no part in that. It was Hermione, Harry and Ron who made the DA. All Dumbledore did was take the blame for it because they named themselves after him
"Dumbledore could've helped Regulus, Evan and Barty"
Firstly it amazes me how these three are the only Death Eaters yall have any sympathy for. I understand Regulus to a point considering we only really hear good things about him from Kreacher but with Evan and Barty genuinely what makes them so special?? Evan is in the exact same pool as Wilkes and y'all don't give a shit about them. Also Barty helped resurrect Voldemort and tortured Frank and Alice. Either way regardless on if you like them or not trust me when i say that if they would've gone to Dumbledore for help he would've helped them. When have we ever seen Dumbledore turn somebody down because they were a Slytherin. This man literally tried to help Draco as he was about to kill him and help the Death Eaters take over Hogwarts. Dumbledore doesn't know everything and he's never passed on the chance for a new spy.
"This fandom is misogynistic for making Lily/Tonks bad mothers/surrogates"
Fanfiction does not equal headcannons. Just because Lily or Tonks are bad mothers in a fanfiction does not mean that the author dislikes them or thinks that they're a bad person in cannon. Also reading about your favourite ship raise a child is a very common trope in fanfiction and as much as Harry and Teddy are Lily and Tonks children they are also James and Remus'. James and Remus are just as responsible for their children and I see nobody batting an eye when the roles are reversed. On top of all of this, Lily and Tonks were young mothers and it's very likely that they would make mistakes or in other universes not be as good as they were in cannon. That does not make them bad people nor does it make them unworthy of being liked. If you don't like it, don't read it cause i know that nobody is saying that Regulus and James raised Harry in cannon.
"Marlene/Dorcas/Mary/Evan is so underrated!"
No they're not. They're mentioned like once or twice. If anything they're incredibly overrated. Nothing wrong with that. Just facts
"Jily is dying out because people are scared to go against Jegulus"
Don't make me laugh. Jily is one of the only cannon ships we have they are literally the blueprint to the entire series. Jily is not dying out, you're just seeing more Jegulus posts because you keep interacting with them and fucking up your own algorithm in order to argue with people in comment sections
"[Insert ship here] need to stop hating on [Insert another ship here] (same with characters)"
I remember one time in the Riverdale fandom when a Bughead shipper did an interview with a magazine pretending to be Lili Reinheart and told this magazine that Bughead will be cannon just to piss the Barchie shippers off. Y'all would not survive "real" fandoms. Just because somebody doesn't like your ship does not make it hate and even if someone does say something like "Jily is trash and I hate it" so fucking what?? it's one person and trust me there is another room on the internet for the both of you. I don't even think I've seen anyone truly post hate about a ship since 2020 when i was in the instagram fandom and the Wolfstar and Blackinnon shippers had each other by the throat
"Jegulus came out of nowhere and I don't understand why people ship it"
Jegulus has been around for as long as i have (2018) and at least to me it's very obvious why people like it. It's the best friends brother, opposite sides of the war, secret relationship, forbidden romance tropes that people love. it's not that hard to understand. And as I said before we know just enough about Regulus to get some sense of what he was like but not all of the bad parts.
"Sirius was tall but Remus was TALL"
There's nothing necessarily wrong with this. I just hate it. Especially if you're commenting on somebody's post about how Sirius is canonically tall. Half the time, unless they say it themselves, they don't think that Remus is taller and don't care if you do
that's all i've got for now. i may do this again :)

Hi, it’s me again (:
What was your favorite character traits about Rachel Amber?
Hey! Happy to see you and boy what a great question, thank you! Loaded answer ahead; TLDR, see the good in Rachel Amber.
Rachel's many things. Pretty, hot, charming, stylish, not to mention her lovely voice, these physical traits are already a great start for many. Then you have functional traits-- ambidextrous (can I just say that's hella cool, omg I want that too), social genius/people skills, straight As student, drama queen, masked with a layer of mystery, many people would've already fallen for her, in-game and out, me being one of them when I first got to know her as a character (so pretty much those were my fav traits of her).
But if we strip her physical beauty down and shove aside her fascinating skillset, who is she really? We may never know 100%, but some character traits can still be found.
Here are some of my favourite (&underrated) Yangs to Rachel Amber's sides. aka why Rachel Amber should get more love & less hate from the fandom
Ofc there are exceptions, but those are not relevant in this post; assumptions & headcannons are added
1. A good heart
Kindness to me will always be one of the most important character traits to have for anyone. With all that powerhouse of a Rachel Amber can accomplish, she chooses to use them with kindness.
With her social skills she chooses to lift people up, saving Hayden from a quickly-escalating scolding from Mr Keaton in ep 1, asking Chloe in a nuanced way if she's "taking (getting kicked outta Blackwell) this a little too well", kinda guiding her independent thinking rather than directly telling her what's right or wrong. (There'd be constructive criticism between Chloe & Rachel, which I stan in a relationship/friendship.)
With her intelligence she tutors Justin & helped him improve his algebra from an F to a C I believe? That's pretty impressive, ngl
with her ambidexterity.. idk, she makes Chloe happy :> (yes i'm totally referring to doing graffiti with her left hand on Chloe's insistence *cough*)
This is why I'm inclined to believe that tornado was not Rachel's revenge. She'd never choose to put Chloe, her parents, her friends, at risk; if she wanted revenge she could've killed the men w her powers. Sure you can say some of these might be her trying to live up to her DA father / principal assistant's duties, but at least she chose to do them. She could very well be a kid who doesn't give a damn or fluff through some of these things that requires time & effort.

2. Sees the good in others!
One of the most underrated Rachel Amber traits imo. This girl literally has a reputation of "her friends are her friends", and does not discriminate in terms of friendship/who she hangs out with. She picked Chloe up from her lowest (saw her & praised her for backtalking the biker, defending Nathan, & "you're more of a hero than you think you realise", when Chloe didn't take Drew's money). Rachel stuck with Chloe when no one else did (puts up with her sh*t, which ofc Chloe does the same), literally chose Chloe to share her uncertain future outside Arcadia, did not take her chance to leave when she could in those 3 years, most likely cuz she wanted to leave with Chlo. She also hung out with Nathan (& Chloe when so many wouldn't), saw the good in Frank (yes. same as Nathan & Chloe his reputation is far from great and despite the unhealthiness of this relationship, she at the very least cared for the guy, & saw the humanity inside him), & very sadly fell for the portrayed "gone through some serious shit" act by Jeffers*n, all these showing her being an empathetic & sympathetic person.
I'll add non-judgemental as well, cuz it's why she's able to get along with so many people so well. Like what her VA Kylie Brown says in an interview, whoever you are, Rachel'd be like "hey you're a pretty cool person, let's talk!" It's inspiring. I love that about her. Gotta have more Rachels in the world.
3. Ambitious. Puts in the hard work. Persistent.
"One day, I'm gonna climb Mt Everst." says a 15 year old Rachel in Bts, who has posters of travelling in Asia (the green poster has Chinese words saying "go travel in China", amongst others), already speaks about her courage & ambition. And of course, leaving Arcadia with no one but Chloe for a better life. Yes you can say it's reckless, because it's a big idea for a teenager, but she didn't just give up on it. It stuck with her, and she worked hard for it. Doing photoshoots to get modelling jobs, maintaining her 4.0 GPA, finding opportunities to leave... she did those for 5 years. And in the comics universe, they made it out! Now they're over 22yos with an LA apartment, Rachel's in modelling gigs with her acting career kicking off... what could've been for game Rachel. (oh the things I'd do for Bts' ending to be Max appearing in the nick of time instead of that damn vibrating phone!) Also I wonder if in some universes, like the wheelchair Chloe one, a missing Rachel could mean she actually made it out without others knowing, instead of the darker end.
4. Caring & thoughtful & protective & passionate partner/friend/lover!

She listens to Chloe's problems (therapy session), she gives Chloe nice clothes to wear within the few days they'd met (what financially challenged Chloe needed, & in a way that wasn't awkward for Chloe), she sends post cards to Chloe while she's away (she thinks about her often), & "don't f****ing touch her". Passionate lover, I mean.. the way she kissed Chloe under that lamp (with high intimacy of course) is good enough an example. Chloe's the romantic one in my head. Rachel, the passionate.
*the way she puts her hand on C's shoulder after wiping her tears, OmO*

So far these are the character traits I can think of, and your question helped draw out Rachel's positive sides that are too under-recognised. Thanks again! :)
These links helped me understand Rachel & Amberprice better, here for people's reference:
youtube
Because I choose to see the good in Rachel, I'm her defender through and through. Join me, if you can.
Edit: damn I literally wrote an essay, maybe 1 day there'd be a video!
This pain wouldn't be for Evermore.

Fic idea where Richie fully tries to reconnect with life
First chapter is Richie being invited to go dress shopping with Frank and Tiff as she's their flower girl. He gets along with them and thinks he could be friends
Second chapter is him reaching out to his parents, who he cut off contact with since he left home. He tells them what they missed, how they were partially right by their suspicion of the Berzattos because Richie feels like he keeps getting drawn in only to be pushed out when things get tough, he feels like their caretaker and the one putting them back together. It's rocky but it's a start. His dad apologises for the hard, neglectful way he treated him, and that he missed having him in his life a lot more than he cared about the rules he put in place. He shows them the Bear and his mother apologises then.
Third chapter is Richie applying for jobs. He's realised how this is another sinking ship and he can't go down with another Berzatto. I think it would be interesting if Carmy started to improve, he talks with Sydney and she ends up staying but Richie ends up leaving. He's spent most of his career in the same place and he's grown more than that. I think it would be a nice end to his character arc to have him leave the Bear, and in some ways the Berzatto family or at least him putting boundaries in place, while Sydney gets accepted in and let's herself be accepted.
This could also have him having some interviews that don't go well. Him being rejected, perhaps mirror Tina's episode with him putting so much time in at the Beef that's now the Bear but not being good enough for the same role elsewhere as he's not educated and doesn't have enough experience.
Fifth chapter is him getting a job. I can see him working somewhere not Michelin star as he doesn't care for them, but somewhere that cares about the food and the people. I can also see him working in a hotel, or, controversially (?) leaving the hospitality industry as a whole and taking his passion for people and working somewhere else.
Can anyone else see Richie as a good nurse or is it just me? Him seeing the same faces, having a rapour with them, making them smile and helping them, I can see him flirting with elderly ladies to make them smile (yes I'm thinking of him being a palliative care/geriatric nurse
He hands in his notice at the Bear and when asked why he goes into how it's heartless. He's trying so hard to improve himself but how can he when there's so much tension and he's not respected, he's earning the same wage as he did at the Beef but is working so much harder and longer and is still relying on tips even though people pay $175 a head. He also tells them, trying to be respectful, how they've all collectively failed at making the Beef better by wrapping their dysfunctions in a different jacket, so to speak. Syd wanted things to be better, for people not to feel and act shitty but now it's even worse because there's no fun. They've got more debt and everyone's unhappy and he can't put another Berzatto back together, he can't go down with another sinking ship and he respects himself more than that.
Sixth chapter could be a time skip. Think 2 years later, Richie’s finished his associates degree in nursing and is starting as a nurse for a carer company. He goes out to celebrate, someone books the Bear, he's heard that things are better, not Michelin star but not shitty quality like the Beef, somewhere in the middle.
It's strange for everyone else, seeing Richie as the customer. He kept in touch, but life's busy, he became more like a true cousin, one you see more at family functions than day in day out. He’s on good terms with his parents, good friends with Tiff and Frank, Eva’s growing up, turning 8 now. They stay close to closing, he leaves a big tip but waves through the window before going.
#i watched a video about gentrification and the bear and it awoke an anger in me i didn't know i had about this show#i hope that s4 ends with them making it less fine dining and more down to earth#there's no joy in the kitchen anymore#no jokes#just shouting#and they've shown a tie between trauma and these michelin star fine dining restaurants#so it would be nice if they showed carmy finally learning and making good decent food rather than striving to be the best all the time#the bear#richie jerimovich#carmen berzatto#carmy berzatto#sydney adamu#tiffany jerimovich#tiff jerimovich#eva jerimovich#richie's parents#tina marrero#frank the bear#bear writes

Chapter Twenty-One
It wasn’t easy. Nothing about going back to Billy after everything that had happened was easy, and you both seemed to understand that something had shifted in your relationship. There were no more lies between you, no more walls to hide behind. When you’d told him the truth about Scott, you’d let him see a part of yourself that only one other person knew, and when Billy told you about Frank, about how he’d always traded his brother for a lavish lifestyle, he’d let you see how flawed he really was.
The honeymoon period of your relationship was over and, now, you were privy to the darkest parts of each other.
Only a year ago, that level of intimacy with another person would have terrified you, but now, knowing that he loved you despite your mistakes, made you feel closer to him than ever. And, in turn, knowing more about the things that hurt him, the things that made him hate and second guess himself, made you feel like you could actually support him when he needed you, instead of pretending like everything in his life was perfect.
The conversation about you moving in came up again and, of course, you said yes. Karen came through with the offer of a job with The Bulletin. And, suddenly, you felt like you had purpose again, like you were actually living your life instead of just existing. Karen even wanted to take you on a girls weekend to Mexico to celebrate.
But the new frankness in your relationship did cause a few little bumps, but they were things that you knew couldn’t be rushed; like Billy’s panic attacks. He still wouldn’t talk about them though, thankfully, he hadn’t had any that you knew of since your photography show.
And, on the topic of the show - well, let's just say you and Billy had words a couple of days after the show when almost half the photos that had been sold turned up at the penthouse. But, as much as you might have wanted to be annoyed about it, when he told you that he’d bought them so that he’d always have something to remember you by, you knew you couldn’t stay mad. And you had to admit that you’d never really been comfortable with the thought of anyone else owning that photo of him.
Little by little, he opened himself up to you, but never more so than he agreed to let you meet his mother. Though agreed might have been too strong of a word for it.
“I’m going to be late to Karen’s party tomorrow,” he told you as you sat down to dinner together.
“That’s okay, I can wait for you,” you shrugged, assuming that work would be keeping him late.
“No, it’s fine, you should just go ahead. I don’t know how long I’m going to be.”
“I’m sure Anvil won’t go bankrupt if you decide to finish an hour early on a friday,” you joked.
“It’s not a work thing,” he confessed, awkwardly dropping his gaze for a moment. You didn’t ask, you just gave him a moment, letting him decide if he wanted to tell you. And he did. “I go to see my mom on the last friday of every month, just to make sure everything’s -”
He trailed off into a sigh before offering you something of a shrug. That one little gesture told you everything; he wasn’t going because he wanted to, he was going out of some sense of obligation.
“I’ll go with you,” you told him the words coming out before you could even stop to really think about it.
“No, you’d just be waiting in the car, you might as well just -”
“No, I mean, I want to meet your mom.”
“What?” It was hard to tell if he was more shocked or confused.
It took you a moment to find the words to explain it to him. “For better or worse, she’s your family Billy and I want to get to know every part of you.”
Billy hadn’t been happy exactly, but he did relent and give in to you, and the next day, after work, the pair of you drove to the little home where his mother lived.
First impressions were not great, and you could understand why the PI had had such a low opinion of where Billy was choosing to keep his mother. A part of you did feel bad as he led you through the dingy, sterile corridors, the sounds of other residents echoing all around you.
You gripped Billy’s hand a little tighter and, when he gave you a concerned look, you explained to him that it reminded you of a hospital and that you hated hospitals.
A couple of the nurses offered muttered hellos as you and Billy passed them before stopping at a door labelled Carla Russo. He looked at you for a second before taking a breath and opening the door.
You weren’t sure what you expected, but what you found on the other side of that door certainly wasn’t it. Over the months you’d known about Billy’s abandonment, you’d built up this picture of a malevolent, uncaring and selfish woman. You’d pictured her as a monster, but the bedridden woman in front of you was the opposite of what you’d imagined. You felt almost bad for her, seeing what years of substance abuse had done to her.
Billy introduced you but you barely heard it, barely noticed much of anything until he let go of your hand and made his way around her bed to softly kiss her forehead. His mother didn’t react, but your attention was more concerned with Billy; with the stiff way he carried himself and the way he seemed to be forcing back a frown.
He spoke with his mother for a few minutes, as if she’d asked to hear about his day and how his work was going, while you took a seat. You half-listened, just watching Billy and trying to imagine a happy scene, one where his mother acknowledged him and smiled at his achievements, rather than staring vacantly at the ceiling.
When his attention finally returned to you, it was to tell you that he needed to go speak with her doctor, asking you if you’d be alright waiting there on your own or if you wanted to go wait in the car. You told him you’d stay, that you’d wait with his mother.
The minutes ticked by and you remained seated and silent, watching the figure on the bed as she just laid there, until something compelled you to stand, to move closer.
You looked down at her with all the sympathy you could muster, seeing a woman who should have still had so much of her life in front of her. As much as you wanted to hate her, all you really felt was pity, but not because of the state that she was in.
“You should know that your son’s a good man,” you told her, even though she gave no indication that she was listening or even realised that you were there, “he’s kind and funny, and so full of love. And he’s all of those things in spite of you. I don’t know how hard it was for you to leave him like that, but I pity you - not because you’re like this but because you gave up your chance to know him like I do. You gave up the chance to know what it’s like to be loved by him.”
If she could hear or understand what you were saying, she didn’t show it, but you weren’t quite done.
“He’s been through so much on his own, but he’s not alone anymore; he’s got me now, and I’m never going to abandon him like you did. You didn’t love or protect your son when he needed you most, but I’m never going to give up on him. I’m going to love him the way that he deserves to be loved.” The words tumbled from your lips and, somehow, you felt better for having said them, even if Carla Russo showed no signs of understanding you.
A moment later, Billy was back, telling you that he was ready to leave. You both gave his mother a terse goodbye before Billy took you by the hand and started leading you away. He didn’t say anything, as you stepped outside and started down the street towards the car. For a time you didn’t even think anything of how tightly he was holding your hand - you just assumed that he was feeling a little vulnerable after everything you’d just witnessed.
That is, until he pulled you off the sidewalk and into an alleyway.
Before you could ask what he was doing, Billy was kissing you, pressing you back against a wall with a familiar urgency. And, once you felt his erection pressed against you, any questions you might have had about what he was doing were rendered moot; he needed something from you and couldn’t even wait until you were back at the car to get it.
Without breaking the kiss, he lifted you, one hand pulling at the fastenings of his pants while the other held you securely until you thought to wrap your legs around his waist and your arms around his shoulders. The kiss broke as one hand slipped beneath your dress to pull your panties aside and the other pressed two fingers between your lips.
“Wet them,” He instructed, already sounding breathless.
You did as he asked without question, licking and sucking his fingers, lathering them with saliva. Once they were coated, he slipped the fingers between your thighs and used them to prime your entrance. While he did that, he took a moment to spit on his own hand before fisting his cock, trying to lubricate it.
His fingers pulled out of you, and you cried against his lips as his hips slammed into yours, filling you with every hard inch of him in one rough thrust. Despite his best efforts, you still weren’t wet enough, still weren’t ready for him, but you knew that this was more about Billy and what he needed than anything else. And, as he started to fuck you, your body quickly caught up, slickening around his cock and aiding his movements.
You fisted his hair, holding on for dear life and trying to ignore the scrape of brickwork against your lower back as Billy fucked you, taking everything that he needed from you. The quick and rough jerks of his hips told you that he wouldn’t last long, but you knew you wouldn’t either at this pace. And, honestly, the thought of doing this outside, in some filthy alleyway where anyone might stumble across you, thrilled you more than you ever thought it would.
He grunted against your lips and you did your best to swallow down every sound he made, even as his cock started to pulse inside you and you felt him start to come. You didn’t hesitate before reaching between your bodies and starting to rub your swollen clit while he emptied himself inside you. It only took a few moments more for you to find your own sweet release, your body trembling, your walls squeezing around him, before you both finally stilled.
He stayed inside you, his eyes finding yours, and you could tell his mind was racing, though you weren’t sure why. Your grip on his hair loosened and you slowly started to run your fingers through his locks, trying to set it to rights.
“Did you mean it?” He asked quietly and, for a moment, you weren’t sure what he meant. “What you said to her - did you mean it?”
“You heard that?”
“Every word.”
“Of course I meant it,” you told him as your lips pulled into a smile. “You’re mine, Billy. And I’m yours.”
“Forever,” he added before leaning in to kiss you again.
But the sounds of people on the street had him quickly pulling out and putting you down. You let out a groan at the feeling of emptiness and grimaced at the feeling of his cum starting to trickle down your thighs. Billy offered you his handkerchief and you did your best to clean yourself up while he did up his pants and kept a lookout.
“I can’t believe I’m gonna have to sit through this whole birthday dinner thing knowing you’re full of my cum,” he muttered, in a half-joking and half-serious tone that caused your cheeks to heat.
“Then you should have finished in my mouth instead,” you answered back quietly and the look Billy shot you had you almost bracing yourself to go again. For a few. Long seconds you held his gaze until he finally relented and let out a laugh.
“Maybe I’ll find us another alley once we’re done with dinner.” He smirked, holding out his hand to you.
“Is that a threat, or a promise?” You asked, grabbing his hand and holding tight as you started walking back to the Wraith.
It felt like his mood had lifted and he seemed more relaxed than he had when you’d first arrived to visit his mother. And you were glad, you were happy that you’d gone with him, and that he’d heard every word you’d said to Carla Russo. More than that, you were glad that he’d believed it.
When you finally made it to the restaurant, half an hour later than planned, Karen was first to stand to greet you both. And, as expected, you were the last ones there. Everyone else was already seated, each with a drink and the complimentary breadsticks were long gone. While she came to greet you, Billy did the rounds to greet his friends.
“Glad to see you finally managed to pull yourself out of Billy’s bed,” she smirked, and your cheeks immediately started to warm.
“That’s not - we weren’t -” you tried to argue.
“Please,” Karen laughed, “you look like you’ve just had your brains fucked out.”
Your hands quickly moved, nervously trying to smooth down your dress and hair, which just made Karen laugh more.
“I don’t mean like that, I mean -” she paused for a moment to look at you and think of the perfect word, “- it’s like you’ve got a glow or something.”
Your eyes went wide at the connotations of that word. “Karen, glow is really not a word I want to hear.”
“Why not? You’re using protection, aren’t you?” She asked and your cheeks continued to get warmer.
“I’m on birth control, but we...” you took an awkward breath and shook your head. “Look, it doesn’t matter, it’s not... that. We just - I dunno, we got a little bit closer today. Billy trusted me with something important and one thing kinda just led to another...”
“Uh-huh,” she kept smirking. “So things have been good since you decided to give it another go?” You nodded and Karen threw a glance in Billy’s direction. “Well, whatever it is you two have been up to, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him this happy.”
Your gaze followed her and, a moment after you started looking, Billy was staring right back at you, a disarming smile on his lips. Karen uttered something about finally being able to order and shooed you in the direction of Billy and the two empty seats that had been saved for you both at the end of the table. And, honestly, you were glad to get away from her.
“You alright?” Billy asked, seeming to notice your embarrassment as you took your seat at his side.
“I’m fine, Karen was just being Karen,” you told him and Billy nodded, even though he had no idea what you meant.
Food was ordered and you enjoyed sitting back and watching Billy interact with his friends, happy that he seemed to be so happy. But his attention always returned to you eventually. By the time you’d all finished eating, everyone had had more than enough to drink to start getting a little louder, joking and laughing with each other.
Billy leaned towards you, pressing a kiss to your cheek before whispering in your ear. “I can’t stop thinking about you.”
Your heart skipped a beat, thinking back to the first time he’d uttered those words; the party, the bathroom, the way he’d kissed you, and the way he’d made you come for the first time. You bit your lip for a moment, earning a grin from him as he pulled back a fraction. Your eyes flitted down the table, noticing how everyone else seemed absorbed in whatever story Curtis was telling. Billy’s eyes didn’t stray from you.
His hand found your bare knee, causing you to inhale sharply - and that just made Billy grin more. His fingers moved slowly, ghosting up your thigh and taking the fabric of your dress with them while your legs instinctively started to part for him. You knew you were playing with fire and that this couldn’t go much further, but that didn’t stop you from shifting forward in your seat and making sure the table cloth hid what you were doing.
The further up your thigh his hand got, the more you knew you needed to tell him to stop; you needed to be the voice of reason because you were certain that any thought of common sense had long since abandoned Billy.
His name was called from the other end of the table and you almost breathed a sigh of relief as he turned from you and started talking to his friends. Almost. Even though he wasn’t looking at you, his hand kept moving, higher and higher.
You reached for your wine glass and tried to take a drink to keep yourself from moaning as his fingers finally pressed against your wet panties. The warmth of his fingers bled through the wet fabric and all you could think about was how you wanted so much more. Despite being sat at a table with twelve other people, you wanted to feel him inside of you.
“Right?” Billy spoke suddenly, looking at you with a big grin on his face, pulling you into the conversation, even though the only thing you could think about was his hand between your legs and how needy you suddenly felt.
You nodded, even though you had no idea what they were talking about. Everyone laughed and Billy continued talking, his fingers still pressing against you, slowly rubbing, driving you more and more insane with every passing moment.
When he finally dared to slip beneath the fabric and run his fingers through your arousal, you closed your legs. As much as you wanted it, you knew that you couldn’t; not there, not like that. But Billy’s hand remained, his fingers still teasing you as your thighs squeezed around his hand, and you knew you’d have to do something before you gave in to what you both so obviously wanted.
Leaning towards him, you pressed a kiss to his cheek, while your hand gently pulled his from between your legs. You whispered in his ear; “not here.”
You stood and excused yourself, heading for the bathroom, slipping inside and leaving the door unlocked behind you. Less than a minute later, Billy was with you, locking the door and pressing you back against it.
“I can’t believe you were going to try to make me come on your fingers in front of all your friends,” you tried to feign annoyance but the way he kissed you, left you with only one thought in mind.
“You should’ve told me you were so wet, sweetheart,” he groaned against your lips, “your panties are soaked.”
“Some of that is your fault,” you told him as your hand started to tug at the zipper of his pants.
“We’re gonna have to be quick,” he told you, letting out another groan as your hand reached into his pants to pull out his already semi-hard cock, “I think Karen already knows what we’re doing in here.”
“Less talking, more kissing,” you told him and Billy was glad to oblige, kissing you deeply while your hand stroked his cock.
You expected him to lift you up but, instead, you felt a gentle pressure on your hip, his hand urging you downwards. Eagerly, you dropped to your knees, your hand still running over his shaft. For a moment, you looked up at him, wanting nothing more than to tease and drive him crazy, but you knew that you didn’t have time for that.
Wrapping your lips around the thick tip of his cock, your hand continued to pump the shaft, feeling him getting harder and harder, and when he started to leak, your tongue greedily lapped it up.
He groaned your name, fisting your hair and bucking his hips forward, trapping you between him and the door as he thrust more of his cock between your lips. You gladly obliged him, pressing forwards and starting to give him what he wanted, listening to his barely contained grunts and groans. As he pushed closer, you found yourself trapped in place, with your head pressed back against the door as he took over completely. His hand stayed in your hair, holding you in place as he started to thrust in and out of your mouth, slowly at first and then a little quicker.
Your eyes stayed on his watching as, piece by piece, he seemed to start losing his mind. There was always something so real and so raw about moments like this with Billy, where you knew he was being driven by nothing but instinct and need. He needed you and, fuck, it felt good to be needed.
“Fuck,” he growled as you pressed your tongue against the underside of his shaft, drawing your cheeks in and sucking as he moved, pushing him closer and closer to the edge.
As his breathing got heavier and heavier, you braced yourself for his climax but, rather than coming, Billy suddenly pulled out of your mouth.
His hands pulled you up by your arms and, before you knew what he was doing, he’d manoeuvred you around the tiny bathroom and bent you over the sink. Your eyes found his in the mirror as he pulled up your dress and tore your panties. You bit your lip to stifle the moan that wanted to tear from you as his cock filled you.
With one hand on your hip and the other on your shoulder, Billy didn’t waste any time before he started to fuck you. Every time he thrust into you, you found your thighs knocking into the sink - it would probably leave bruises, but you didn’t care. You didn’t care about anything except Billy and the way he was making you feel.
But the way he was fucking you made it impossible to stay quiet, and you knew you were one loud moan away from everyong in the restaurant outside knowing exactly what you were doing. So, you took his hand from your shoulder and pulled it over your mouth. And Billy’s reaction in the mirror sent a thrill straight to your core. And, with his hand muffling your gasps of pleasure, his thrusts only got faster, rougher, giving you both what you so desperately needed.
You hand stayed pressed over his against your lips, making it feel like some tender and intimate thing and, for you and Billy, you supposed that was exactly what it was. This was who you were; two people so in loved, so stuck on each other that you couldn’t even make it through a whole meal with friends without wanting to fuck each others brains out. And perhaps that should have embarrassed you, but it didn’t.
You were so happy. So in love.
Billy leaned over you, his lips on your neck for a moment before finding your ear and muttering that one little word that was guaranteed to send you over the edge.
“Mine.”
That one little word felt like it set off fireworks inside you, your body trembling as his hand pressed tighter against your mouth muffling the moans of pleasure that tried to escape as your body trembled. Billy came a moment later, pressing his lips back to your neck to dampen his own growls and groans, his hips still moving slowly, making sure to draw out the moment for both of you.
When he finally pulled out, it took you a moment to stand back up, reaching for some tissue to try to clean yourself up. Smoothing your dress down, you laughed as Billy picked up the tattered remains of your panties from the floor and placed them in his pocket.
“When I move in with you, am I going to find a drawer full of all the panties you’ve ripped off me?” You joked, reaching for him and brushing a stray strand of hair away from his face.
“It’s the second drawer in my nightstand, but it’s nowhere near full. Yet.” Billy grinned, and you honestly couldn’t tell if he was joking, and you knew you’d have to check once you got back to the penthouse.
You checked your make-up in the mirror and made sure you didn’t look like you’d just been fucked by your boyfriend over the bathroom sink, before letting out a sigh. You didn’t want to go back out to the others, you wanted to stay with Billy, but it had already been almost ten minutes and they’d probably all already figured out what you’d been doing.
“I’ll go back out now,” you told him, slipping past him to reach the door, “you should wait another couple of minutes - pretend you got a call or something.”
Billy nodded and agreed, and you gave him one last little look before slipping out of the bathroom and returning to the table.
A few people had left in your absence, and everyone seemed to have moved further up the table to be closer to Karen, so you took the empty seat at her side, even though it put you a little closer to Frank than you would have liked.
Karen gave you a look and you knew that she knew exactly what you’d just been doing. Everyone kept talking for a moment until one topic ended and Curtis moved the spotlight to you.
“Karen was just telling us how you two are going on a long weekend to Mexico, you sure you don’t want some company.” Curtis joked.
“It’s a girls only weekend,” Karen answered.
“How’d you get Bill on board with that, anyway?” Frank asked, and everyone was gracious enough to ignore the way you almost flinched when he spoke to you.
“Get me on board with what?” Billy asked, as he sat behind you, making a show of putting his phone down as if he’d just been on a call.
You let out a sigh and shook your head.
“You didn’t tell him yet?” Karen asked and you turned to see Billy looking less than happy about having no idea why he was suddenly the centre of attention.
“Tell me what?” He was looking straight at you, and you hated that you were going to have to have this conversation straight after everything that had just happened between you.
“Me and Karen are going on a girls weekend to Mexico to celebrate my job with The Bulletin. I was going to tell you last night, but...” you didn’t have to say it, Billy knew that you’d both been a little distracted by thoughts of you meeting his mother.
“Oh, okay,” he shrugged like it was nothing, and you had to hold back a sigh of relief.
Tense moment averted, the conversation continued and your hand found his on the table, giving it a tight squeeze as a silent thank you. You’d talk about it later, you’d explain to him how you wanted a little break from the city and - well, it was only going to be for three nights, and once you got back you’d be ready to move in with him. But, thankfully, as far as you could tell Billy was fine with it. So, instead of worrying, you just enjoyed the rest of the evening, waiting until you could go home with Billy.

WORLD CLASS SINNER - FRANK CASTLE
ten - is it over now?
tags: n/a // nine // finale // masterlist
Pairing: frank x livia, billy x livia
Word Count: 11, 189
Summary: A long time coming, one fight comes to a bloody conclusion. Another lurks in the near future, and the connection between two friends and two lover is severed.
You weren’t supposed to be in the room, so you weren’t. You weren’t supposed to linger by the door and eavesdrop, so you didn’t. You were involved in the situation after all.
Highly involved.
And not just as FBI, protecting a civilian reporter from a terrorist during an active investigation, but as an agent that let Frank Castle get away. That sided with Frank Castle.
You may not have been in the room, but you heard it all. You managed to get a surveillance piece onto Brett’s jacket so once you flipped your implant, it was as good as being in the room with them.
They talked about Lewis’ attempt at Anvil, Billy’s denial and your consultation. You almost cursed at the connection, but at least you weren’t on the payroll for Anvil anymore. It did show that you and Billy had a relationship outside of the company, but should he and Anvil go down for Sam Stein, you wouldn’t be connected to him. Only connected to Dinah.
The word negligence was thrown around and you almost laughed. It reminded you of how Billy shoved his own team into your line of fire to save himself. A pathetic excuse of a man, cloaked by his confidence and good looks. You were glad you saw who he truly was but that didn’t make it sting any less. Not hurt, per say, just sting.
Brett interviewed Ori and then Karen, and you pretty much knew how those interviews would go so you didn’t care to listen. Dinah next, and you last.
“Best for last, huh?” You joked as you sat on the couch, running hands over your pant leg. There was no blood beside the dried remnants from the prior chaos, but they still felt soaked. Dripping, ready to stain whatever you touched.
“Who’s story you hoping I corroborate?”
“None.” He shrugged. “I just wanna know yours.”
“Castle wasn’t working with Lewis.” You said plainly. “Everyone’s throwing the allegation but it’s not true. Lewis was a guy who was misguided by a fraud to the point that he radicalized the Punsiher’s ideology.”
“Seemed pretty radical on its own.”
“Consequence?” You brows raised. “Castle didn’t hurt random people. It was intentful. It was specified. He killed drug dealers and rapists and murderers.”
“Guess after defending him in court you’re bound to take his side.”
“You’re saying I have a bias.” You pointed out. “I was here at my bureau’s direction. Nothing was about Castle from my end.”
“So the FBI doesn’t want Castle?”
“I wasn’t dispatched for Castle. My team and I were sent to apprehend Lewis.”
“So why do my officers tell me you and Billy Russo were pointing guns at each other?”
“He shot at me first.” You shrugged. The shot was meant for Frank in all actuality, but at that point, it was all the same. “Interfering with a federal investigation. Attempted assault of a federal agent. Aggravated assault against Castle. Should I go on?”
“You’re making me wish I was dealing with Murdock again.” He huffed. “Even Nelson and the cigars he would buy my mom.”
“Yeah, they’re a lot nicer.” You agreed.
“Not even that… Just less combative.”
You shrugged. It was all the same at that point.
“You fired your weapon, Livia.” He sighed.
“Yeah.”
“Then took off with Castle.”
“Mhmm.”
“Why?”
“Cause he was helping me get to Karen.” You said honestly. “We saw Lewis take her and I knew Frank wasn’t going to hurt me. Wouldn’t let anyone else hurt me either.”
“Why are you so convinced he’s innocent? You want me to see a bigger picture here. Paint it for me.”
“You worked the Castle case first time around. You, on some level, know him. You don’t think he’s a terrorist anymore than I do, but the question now Brett, is whether anyone is going give someone a chance to prove that before they put a bullet in him?”
“You’re insane, you know that?”
“Yeah.” You laughed a little before you turned to leave. “So I’ve been told.”
“We’re not done.” He said, though there was no effort to stop you.
“I’ve got my own team to catch up with and an SAC to debrief. You know where to find me.”
You found Dinah and Karen talking down the hall so you walked up to them with a small smile for greeting.
“You two have a connection, I know that.” Dinah looked over at you. “So do you… If you know where he is or how to contact him, please.”
“Micro reached out to you, didn’t he?” You said quietly as you realized something. “You said a name in the stairwell.”
She nodded slightly before facing Karen again.
“I’m the best chance he’s got.” She urged.
“I’d beg to differ.” Karen looked at you and you gave a small nod before she took Dinah’s card. “He’s not what they say he is… Saved my life, again.”
You excused yourself at that point because Dex had made his way up, along with the other two from your team. They were in rough shape but definitely better than you. You could feel the bruises across your torso growing but EMS had removed the shrapnel. Your forehead was cleaned and bandaged, you having refused the stitches.
Your SAC thoroughly chewed you out at debrief. She scolded you for abandoning your team, disabling comms, and ultimately going rogue. She said you should’ve eliminated Lewis at the beginning, before the hostage situation, then taken Castle into custody. She yelled that Billy Russo never should’ve been a player in the game. When you tried to reason that Billy had his fair part in it, she didn’t want to hear it.
You didn’t care enough to manipulate her either so you just let her talk.
Dex stepped in and backed you on siding with Castle. He said that since you knew Castle, you knew whether or not he was an asset or a threat in that situation. He even said that more people would’ve died if you tried to fight Castle.
“Wanna tell me what your plan is?” Dex asked once you two were out of your SAC’s office.
“Partner with Madani from Homeland.” You began. “Find Castle. Go after Russo.”
“What’s your deal with Russo anyway?”
“He killed a Homeland agent and a military colonel, both that I witnessed. He shot at me, obstructed a federal operation. I want to go after him, Dex.”
“So it’s personal. You’re gonna risk your career on a vendetta?”
“Exactly, my career.” You agreed. “You’re not gonna talk me out of it.”
“Alright.” He nodded. “How do we do it then?”
“We don’t do anything.” You shook your head. “Madani and I will build a case and I’ll let her bureau do the rest.”
“C’mon, Aly. That’s it?”
“He killed one of theirs.” You shrugged. “What else am I supposed to do?”
“If you need my help with any of this, you call me. Got it?”
You nodded with a grateful smile before you hurried out the building. You practically ran to your car and sped across town to the compound, thanking Matt’s God for every green light.
When you got in, you found both men in the poorly lit bathroom. Shrapnel bits were littered in the sink and Frank’s shirt was torn in pieces on the floor. Lieberman moved to try and stitch the gunshot line on Frank’s temple but he jerked away. You went over and took the supplies from Lieberman’s hands, easily switching places. Lieberman wished you luck, said Frank won’t talk, and patted your back before he left.
You said nothing as you cleaned up the blood on the side of Frank’s head. A million questions lingered in the air yet neither of you dared to voice them. Saying it out loud made it real, and despite you both seeing it with your own eyes, some part wanted to deny it.
“I’m sorry.” You finally said, focusing on your stitching instead of Frank’s stare reflecting off the shattered mirror. “About Billy.”
“You knew he was dirty?” He said lowly, angrily. “That what you were trynna tell me, hmm?”
“I knew he was working with Rawlins, yeah. I wanted proof but I was holding out, hoping he was doing what I was doing. Playing both sides, looking out for you, y’know? … I was wrong.”
“How long have you known?”
“I never trusted his involvement to begin with. But I didn’t know until after he started airing the radio call. We went to that CIA safe house you found Rawlins at. I met the guy and pretty much called him out.”
You dared to look at his expression and saw a blank canvas.
“It was just before Bennett. He was there, part of my way in was being on his team, and he didn’t stop me from helping you so I guess I figured…” You shrugged, sighing heavily before you broke the thread. “It’s my fault this happened.”
“What?” He turned to you. “What are you talking about?”
“This.” You gestured to the gunshot. “I let my feelings intervene again and someone else got hurt.”
“Feelings? Livia, what do you mean, feelings? You think you having a crush on Russo changed anything?”
You were quiet.
“You said he was dirty the whole time, so you sleeping with him or going out with him, it wouldn’t have changed anything! No, Bill… He made his choice, okay? And it’s got nothing, nothing, to do with you.”
“I should’ve led him away.” You said instead. “I should’ve smokescreened and left him in the dark like Dinah was.”
He scoffed at her name.
“I know he went behind your back going to Dinah, but he just wants to get back to his family.” You tried to defend. “Cut him some slack… I was probably gonna slip Dinah some information to get her on Rawlins’ tail soon anyway.”
“What are you gonna do now?” He asked instead.
“After cleaning you up?” You tried to joke while you moved his arm to see the gashes left from the shrapnel. “Partner with Dinah. Pretend to look for you. Go after Russo.” You rattled off the items on your mental list.
“What about the FBI?”
You shrugged. “My partner knows what I want. He’s got my back if I need him.”
“Sure you can trust this one?”
“Nope… But I’ve taken bigger gambles before. No one believed I should’ve defended the Punisher in court and he turned out to be a good guy.”
He snorted slightly.
“Madani’s gonna wanna do it the right way.” He commented, an off-handed remark that was meant as a question.
“I know.” You answered honestly.
“Do you?”
“I'm not looking for revenge. I’m looking to win. As long as he goes down, for now I don’t care how.”
You two didn’t talk about it after that. You cleaned and dressed the rest of his wounds. He offered to return the favor for your forehead but you assured him your body was already taking care of it, utilizing the heat that lived under your skin to weld yourself back together. You didn’t stay much longer either.
After you got home, Dinah called and asked for you to come to her office the next day. She assured you she had a plan and she would explain in person. Since you had no ideas on where to start, you agreed.
“Did you see the news?” She asked when you shut her office door behind yourself.
“About the hotel?”
“Billy’s interview.” She clarified.
“Oh… Not much.”
“He doesn’t get to pretend he’s a hero here.”
“Okay. So what’s the plan?”
“Well, you and I both know he killed Stein.” She began, a haunted look in her eyes.
“During a blacked-out sting attempt.” You specified. “Aren’t you worried about that at all?”
“Rafi already knows.”
You made a face at the name since you weren’t exactly sure who that was but said nothing as she continued.
“What you and I need is to get him to admit it. Or even admit just being there.”
“How do we do that? Billy’s gonna be expecting both of us to come after him.”
“Not together.”
“Probably together. He knew I’ve been talking to you about everything lately. Both of us had guns on him at the hotel. It’d be more surprising if we didn’t team up.”
“It doesn’t matter.” She said tightly, a controlled outburst. “Are you going to help me or not?”
“That’s why I’m here.” You nodded. “Even if he admits it, how do we-“
Your question was cut short when another agent stepped in and said “He’s on his way up.”
“Who’s he, Dinah?” You asked, moderately annoyed since you already knew the answer.
She simply gathered her paperwork and gestured for you to follow her. You let out a long, silent sigh as you obliged. As you went down the hall, you could feel it coming up the elevator.
Confidence, bordering on arrogance.
Billy.
“When this inevitably goes sideways, step aside and let me handle it.” You said once you two were alone in the conference room, seconds ticking down till Billy’s arrival.
“Listen, just because you have some undisclosed skills doesn’t give you any authority here. You are in my department.”
“I know.” You nodded.
“This is my investigation. You don’t get to tell me how it’ll go.”
“That’s not what that was.” You shrugged. “But this is. He’s gonna come in here and it’ll seem like you’re in control until he flips it on you and suddenly, you’re playing his game. At that point, there’s three choices. One, you walk away with your tail between your legs and he thinks he’s won, which he would have. Two, you miraculously keep your composure and work your way through it. Or three, the most likely, I take over and worst case scenario, it’s a stalemate.”
“You don’t ge-“
“You came to me for help.” You cut in as light knocks sounded. “Remember that.”
Billy was ushered in and his eyes met yours first. It was as if he was looking for you. You simply gestured to the other side of the table while Dinah opened with pleasantries and moved to the camera.
“Lawyers are for the guilty.” Billy said, a pointed glance at you.
You rolled your eyes and reached behind Dinah to press the record button.
“Special Agent Yersova with the FBI, assisting with today’s interview.” You continued to rattle off the date and time before Dinah did her introduction. “State your name for the record, last name first.”
“Russo, William.” Billy said flatly, not making any effort to hide his annoyance.
“Mr. Russo, laid out before you are several photos from a recent crime scene.” You began as Dinah laid out the pictures. “Please examine them carefully and let us know if anything looks familiar.”
“Are you gonna Mirandaize me, Agent Yersova?” He deflected instead, using your name mockingly.
“No need.” Dinah answered. “Unless I decide to arrest you. We’re just talking.”
You didn’t miss the emphasis she put on it being her choice.
“Why am I here, Dinah?”
Dinah placed a photo of Stein on the table. Covered in his own blood, blood that was also on your hands. You rubbed your hands in the side of your legs when they suddenly felt warm and wet.
“Because you’re a murderer who’s gonna pay for the lives you took.”
A faint blue trail followed her fingers, hovered over the photo.
“Agent.” You said in quiet warning to which she shrugged you off.
“The only reason I was there that day was you.” Billy answered after a few seconds of him silently looking at the picture. Whether he was fabricating his story or simply digesting the empty look in Stein’s eyes - eyes you had watched the light fade out of - you couldn’t tell. “I was there to take you home. I remember going back to your place, cleaning you up, holding you all night in the same bed that you and I had repeated sexual encounters.”
“Did you and Frank Castle conduct illegal covert operations in Kandahar?” She asked instead.
“What the hell?” You muttered and dropped your forehead to your hand.
“I’m sure you’ve perused my service record. Does it indicate that I was in Kandahar?” He countered. “Here’s what I think happened. I think you’re pissed that Frank Castle got away from you. Agent Yersova made sure of that, didn’t she?”
The mention of your name made you lift your head and he offered your a quick smirk, leaving as fast as it came on.
“But you’re looking to blame me so you sent your guys to come down to pick me up. But now you’re realizing that maybe that wasn’t such a smart move.”
“Make your choice.” You told her quietly, nodding slightly towards Billy to say that it was the moment you had predicted.
“Now if this was official,” Billy continued and you could practically see the gears turning in Dinah’s head. “You wouldn’t be sitting there alone.”
“She’s not alone, Mr. Russo.” You spoke up, making the decision for her. “I’d like to circle back to something if you don’t mind.”
Billy turned to you with an amused expression and gestured for you to continue.
“You mentioned sexual encounters with Agent Madani.” You began.
“What are you doing?” She asked tightly but you ignored her, refusing to break eye contact with Billy.
There was a challenge in his expression as well as yours. Neither of you would back down.
“Yes. Don’t worry, I was getting to you and I as well.” Billy replied. “And this whole thing.” He made a vague gesture to the table and between you two. “Calling you agent, kinda hot.”
“Do you have some proof of you recently being at either of our residences for any extended periods of time?”
“Meaning?”
“Cell tower pings, location tags, GPS directions. Anything like that.”
“Most likely.”
“Great, and can you provide any specific dates?”
He scoffed lightly.
“Along with that, do you have proof of what occurred during these alleged encounters?”
“Proof?” His brows raised.
“Photos, videos, explicit text messages, audio recordings.”
“You wanna know if I made a tape?” He chuckled in disbelief.
“I want to know if you can back your allegations with evidence, should anything escalate.” You countered firmly. “Can you?”
“I don’t have pictures or videos.” He spat back in annoyance.
“Audio?”
“No.”
“Texts?”
“Doubtful. You’re very careful.”
You hummed slightly and he rolled his eyes, knowing you had beat him on that.
“Then your allegations are baseless and therefore irrelevant.” You smirked with a shrug.
Dinah pushed herself up and shut off the camera. You sat back in your seat and folded your hands over your stomach, swiveling slightly side to side. Billy was still looking at you, an almost proud expression on his face that you didn’t acknowledge.
“You’re gonna tell me this room isn’t bugged?” Billy asked after a small stint of silence. “Can never be too careful.”
“Funny you mention that.” You offered a sarcastic expression.
“I’ve got an offer for you, best and final.” Dinah said quickly and you spun in your chair to face her. Your brows were raised with an expectant expression. “I’ll guarantee leniency if you give me the executioners, the tortures, everything. And when I say everything, I need William Rawlins.”
You turned enough to see Billy’s reaction.
“You didn’t know I had Rawlins’ name.” Dinah bragged and again, Billy looked to you.
“Wasn’t me.” You shrugged. “Some NSA ghost story came around.”
“You killed Sam Stein.” Dinah continued. Her rage was filling the room, pushing out the air and threatening to choke you. It was more than justice for her, though she’d never admit it.
It was revenge. It was consequence. It was right up your alley, everything Exodus was built off of.
Maybe this was more her fight than Livia’s. She could do more for Dinah than Livia could. Avoid the red tape and bring a real conclusion.
“…life won’t be worth the termination-of-parental-rights form your mother scribbled her signature on.” Dinah spat and even you were taken back.
You almost said something about it but then remembered you weren’t with Billy. It was a sharp blow, even for you, but the woman was angry. And hell has no wrath like a woman scorned. You focused back in on the conversation as Dinah’s as vaguely threatening Billy before she left, leaving you and Billy alone in the room.
“Your head’s healing nice. Almost forgot you got hurt in the first place.” He commented instead of the question in his eyes. He didn’t trust the room wasn’t bugged so he didn’t dare to say what he really wanted.
“Yeah, cuts and bruises heal pretty okay for me.” You nodded. “The rib still hurts on deep breaths but that’s never gonna go away.”
“What are you doing, Livia?” He asked quietly. “Getting mixed up in all this.”
“I’ve always been part of this, just not the way you expected. Started long before I met you, Bill… See you soon.”
You were barely out of the room when his hand was around your arm. You let out a quiet sigh while he pulled you down one of the nearby halls.
“I never wanted to hurt you, Livia.” He said softly, the grip on your arm loosening while his thumb began to move against the fabric of your shirt. You made sure to put a hand on his chest to keep a fair distance between you two. “If there was another way…”
“Bill, all of this is your choice.” You insisted gently. “You could change it at any point if you let it.”
“I can’t…”
“I tried giving you the benefit of the doubt but you kept proving me wrong time and time again. You put me in a position where I have to defend you time and time again. I have to bend my conviction again. I have to choose between you and him.”
“Then stop fighting!” He urged as a loud whisper.
“I can’t!” You answered in the same hushed tone. “As much as I like you, I can’t be on your side. You’ve proved that you’re not loyal to me and you’re not loyal to Frank… That man saw you as his brother, his family. How could you do this to him?”
“You like me?” He asked in genuine amazement.
“That’s what you heard?”
You scoffed to yourself and left after that, making your way to Dinah’s office. You walked in on her arguing with someone else that she introduced as Rafi, the man above her. They were yelling about the conflict of interest and you offered they watch the rest of the video but Rafi didn’t want to hear anything from you. You listened to the rest in silence but were told to find Castle and Micro.
You didn’t need to work very hard to do that.
Leaving Dinah’s office, you went straight to Frank and Lieberman. You walked in in a hurry to update them on what was going on. Dinah had gained nothing by bringing in Billy other than pissing the man off, but there was still some underlying desire to have you in his life. He didn’t want to lose you for good and you could manipulate that but before you could say anything about the spray painted vest you caught a glimpse of, Frank had grabbed your arm.
You opened your mouth for a question but he pulled you against his chest and had his arms around you before you could find your voice. You froze for a second before returning the embrace. Maybe it was an apology for being a jerk the last time you two spoke or maybe it was just his way of saying he was glad you were okay since he hadn’t said anything about it before. Maybe even his way of saying he felt bad you lost someone else you had trusted, that he understood you were betrayed too. In all likelihood, it was all three.
“Love you, Frank.” You muttered against him. “Figured I should say it before whatever happens next.”
“Yeah, love you too, Princess.” He answered and stepped back, patting your cheek before stepping away.
There was tension in the air lingering from an argument that just finished between him and Lieberman. You looked at the former NSA agent and he gave you a look that said he wasn’t going to talk about it. Frank was rushing around, collecting gear and throwing it into the back of the van. You had moved to follow him when something on Lieberman’s monitors caught your attention.
“Guys?” You called as you moved closer to the screens. “What happened here?”
Frank was by your side first. “Go back.”
Lieberman reversed the footage and found a quick scene of two alleged cops taking Sarah and Zach. But you noticed Leo was nowhere to be seen. Lieberman and Frank were going back and forth about what to do, who would be coming, and whether Sarah would give up ‘Pete’. You were more worried about why Leo wasn’t in any of the footage.
You pushed past the bickering men and ran out to your car. You rummaged through the backseat and under your passenger seat, throwing everything out of your way until you found it. The cracked, blood-stained mask. You didn’t care if anyone saw you with it as you ran back into the compound and then began rummaging through Lieberman’s cluttered desktop. You examined different cables and adapters before finding one that matched close enough to the shape of port your mask had.
You were moving to plug both ends in, one to your mask and one to a computer, when you saw a new angle of footage. It showed the driveway and Leo jumping from one of the windows.
“Atta girl.” You said to yourself with a small smile before resuming your task, ignoring Lieberman trying to get you to stop.
“Call her.” You said, simply stating his hands away when he reached for yours.
You were furiously typing, overriding your own security protocols and verifying the use of the new device. You scrolled through the various connections and tracking devices until you found it. It was old, probably had terrible range and reception, but it was usable. With Lieberman’s interconnected network, it just might do it.
SUIT - YERSOVA
The emblem you gave Leo was one of the original trackers before they were embedded in your bodies.
You laughed in slight relief when the screen showed a mask with a small blip of the familiar hourglass shape. You were piecing together where exactly she went when Frank put the call on speaker and leaned over your shoulder to see what you were doing. You pointed to the blinking logo and looked back at him, knowing both hope and worry were reflecting in your eyes.
“Hello?” Her voice came through, panic evident.
“Hey, kiddo.” You said softly. “It’s me and Pete. We’re gonna help you but you can’t talk to anyone about it, okay? Not the cops, not anyone. You remember who I told you I was? I’m gonna handle this.”
“They took Mom and Zach.” She sniffled and your heart broke for her. “I don’t know what to do.”
“I know what they did.” Frank answered. “You have no reason to trust me but I’m right here and we’re the only hope you and your family have.”
“After this call, I need you to take the battery out of the phone.” You instructed calmly. “Throw it as far as you can. Then the SIM card, you do the same thing in the other direction. If those people try to find you, they’re gonna come up empty, okay?”
“You know where the pool in that park is, sweetheart?” Frank said after a whispered exchange between him and Lieberman. “I want you to go there, okay? You wait for us and we will come for you. Okay?”
“Okay… Okay.”
The call ended after that and you turned to Lieberman.
“You need to go to her.” You said pointedly, pushing past him.
“You just said you two were going.” He reasoned. “She thinks I’m dead. Am I supposed to just go up to her and say ‘Hey, baby. I’ve been living in a basement for a year. I’m not dead. Come let’s-“
“Goddammit, David!” You shouted in frustration. “Your daughter is scared and on her own!”
“Hey..” Frank said quietly, putting his hand on your shoulder. You took a deep breath and nodded, collecting yourself before talking again.
“Go to your little girl, David.” You said in a calmer tone. “I’ve been where she is and when I tell you all I wanted was my dad…”
“Meet us at the Greenpoint Terminal. If we’re not there by midnight, you go to Madani.” Frank instructed.
“Only to Madani.”
“What are you two gonna do?” David asked hesitantly.
“I’ve gotta change.” You shrugged, looking down at your dress shirt. “Then wait for these sons of bitches to show up.”
“Make ‘em tell us where Sarah is. Then we’re gonna kill them all.” Frank finished.
You ran to your car and drove home quickly. You practically ran up the stairs and slammed into the locked closet. You kicked a small box that was left outside your door and figured you’d look at it later. You changed your clothes quickly, the familiar tight fitting material of your suit on your body. Instead of your specialized top from Matt, you wore your newest vest. You fit your Bites into place at your wrists, knives at your thigh and back of your belt, a gun on your hip, shock disks at the front of your belt, retractable at your wrist as well. You threw on a loose pair of sweats and a hoodie for the drive back and sped back to Frank.
You ditched your covers at your car and kept your head down as you went inside. You announced your arrival with a whistle, two quick notes that usually would’ve been answered by a second pair of notes. You arrived just as Frank was finishing his prep, hiding rifles and other gear while you made your way to the bloodied mask. You unplugged it, deleted any trace off David’s computers, and put it over your eyes.
You hauled yourself up into the rafters, tucking your feet to conceal your presence. You and Frank said nothing to each other, only exchanging looks from time to time. It wasn’t until you saw the lights coming from down the hall that you focused up. You tapped your mask and counted the bodies, noting the thermal imaging device your mask detected with one of them. Your presence wouldn’t be secret for long, but it was never intended to be.
One of the men strayed from the group so you moved carefully from above. You timed your steps to his, careful to shift your weight evenly to avoid any sounds. Once he was completely isolated, you dropped down and landed behind him. You covered his mouth and nose with one hand while flicking out the retractable blade. You dragged the knife along his throat and felt the warm blood spill across your hand.
The familiar metallic smell lingered in the air as his body went limp in your arms. His blood was dripping from your hand and your blade as you tucked it and moved to the next one. A man a few dozen feet away. You clipped the wire between your Bites as you crept up behind him.
In a swift motion, you got the wire around his neck and yanked backwards to throw him to his face and put a knee between his shoulder blades. You pulled the wire tighter and he gasped for breath, clawed at the wire and reached behind to try to grab you. Your hand took hold of either side of his head and twisted, a sick snap echoing in the empty hall.
You met with Frank a few minutes later and made your way into the main room. There was a small team spread out so you and Frank split. You watched one of them begin a phone call so you crept closer and turned your implant to listen in. Your body grew tense when you heard the voice on the other end.
“Конечно.” You muttered in annoyance. (Of course.)
Billy warned that it was a trap but it was too late. A decapitated head came rolling in with an explosive strapped to it and when it went off, you began your next assault. Gunfire rang out on the other side of the room while you took on your targets. The three closest to you.
Panic rose in the trio as you armed your Bites and a threatening red glow emanated from the devices. You quickly fired at one before moving to a second. He raised his rifle but you ducked it and knocked it aside, causing him to fire into one of his teammates’ leg. You grabbed the knife from the back of your belt and dropped to a knee, swiping it along the inside of his knee. He cried out and buckled before you flipped the blade in your hand and drove it down through his foot.
You yanked the other leg out from under him and he fell to his back. You rolled over him and took control of the rifle to fire a quick burst at the first man you had hit with your Bite. You then pressed your device against the second one’s temple and fired, the smell of burnt flesh filling your nostrils quickly. At that point, one target remained.
You grabbed the helmet of the closest body and threw it, slamming the nose of the man limping towards you. You ran at him and took hold of the front of his shirt before flipping over him, pulling him backwards over the desk. You yanked him to the side to get him to face you before slamming your fist against his face. Bloodied punch after bloodied punch until his face was a mangled mess of blood and swollen lumps. At that point, you pulled your pistol and came around to the other side of the table. You held the man by his hair and placed your gun under his chin. He coughed up blood before you fired and he fell limp.
You made your way to Frank again as he was getting hit with heavy fire from three men. You ducked by his side and pulled the discs from your belt. Using the reflection off the blade of your knife, you ricocheted your discs to hit the furthest two. They cried out and doubled over, providing enough of a gap for you to move one way and Frank to go in another.
You went for the two you electrocuted, kicking out at the closest one’s chest to slam him into the wall behind him. You jabbed the heel of your hand into the other one’s throat before he could gather his rifle and he stumbled back, holding the tender flesh. The man behind you grabbed your arm but you quickly breaking free of his hold. You grabbed his forearm instead and forced his arm to extend. You threw your other elbow against the joint and heard the rip tendons. Without releasing his arm, you grabbed his shirtfront and threw him into his teammate.
You pulled a blade and jammed it into the closest one’s stomach, dragging it across until it came out the other side and even more blood spilled over your hands. Using the same knife, you buried it in the last man’s neck. Watching the blood spill from his lips as he choked on it.
You found Frank again in the kitchen, yelling for Russo.
“He’s not here.” You said simply, you accent in your voice as you wiped the blood splatter off your cheek. It wasn’t until then, when the adrenaline was fading out, did you feel the sharp sting on a bullet graze on the outside of your arm.
You heard groaning and turned to see one man crawling away. Or at least trying to. You walked over and pressed a foot against the slices at the back of his legs and he cried out, going limp under your weight.
“Where’s Russo?” Frank asked when he got to your side.
“I… I don’t know, man.” He said through labored, pained breaths.
“The woman. The kid. Where’s they take ‘em?”
“I don’t know, man! That was…” He tried but you shifted your weight to bring a new wave of pain. “That was need to know. I don’t know anything.”
“Fair enough.” Frank said lowly before a quick shot ended the man’s life.
“One of them called Bill when they got here and told him about that.” You stepped off the body and nodded towards the desks that still replayed Zubair’s torture and the countdown. “Check him for the phone.”
Frank patted through the pockets and found it, sitting against one of the pillars before dialing. He put it on speaker and you sat beside him, rubbing your bloodied hands with a towel.
Sam’s blood.
Elektra’s blood.
“Frank?” Billy said after a short silence.
“The Billy Russo I knew… Oh, he’d have the balls to come himself, y’know.” Frank said, more to you than Billy.
“The Billy Russo I knew wouldn’t be on the wrong side of this fight.” You added, letting your accent tint your words.
“I’ve got staff for that these days.” He answered calmly. “You know the saying about having a dog and barking yourself?”
“Someday, sometime, this is gonna come down to you and me.”
“What about your little friend? Sounds like she’s pretty involved too.”
“Little friend?” You repeated with a small laugh. “You haven’t figured out who I am yet?”
“You’re a wanted man, Franky Boy.” He chose to ignore you, or at least not admit that you were still a wild card. “They’ll catch up to you eventually, just like last time.”
“Guess we’re both running out of time then, huh, Bill?” Frank answered flatly.
“What’s in those computers, Frank?”
“Woman and the kid. Where are they?”
“They’re with me. Right here. Safe and sound.”
You tapped your mask and gave it a second to find the phone call. It lagged due to the cracked lens but you were able to catch on and begin tracking the call. You needed Billy on the line as long as possible to give your broken mask a chance to do its job.
“It’s everything on you, Billy.” You explained, watching the progress bar fill itself at an agonizingly slow speed. “Listen to me carefully. If anything happens to that family, the whole world will see it. They’ll see you, Bill. After that, you’re done.”
“And Zach and Sarah will be dead.” He countered sharply. “You want that family back? I want Lieberman, and I want you, Frank.”
“Sounds about right… And what about my friend in the mask?”
“The girl?” He paused, thinking it over.
“Not just some girl.” You said plainly, dropping your accent for your next sentence. “I’m surprised you haven’t figured it out, Billy.”
“Livia…”
“Exodus.” Your accent found you again. You looked to Frank and he gave you a small nod. You sighed to yourself and pushed your mask up. “Set up the exchange.”
“You’re giving up that easy?”
“I’ve got a bigger picture.” You shrugged though it was more trust in whatever plan Frank had. “Last chance.”
“We’ll be in touch.”
You and Frank cleaned yourselves up and headed to meet with David. You called Dinah on the way and gave her the meeting point. You had thrown your sweats and hoodie back on, your mask hanging at your neck under the fabric and Bites hiding under your cuffs.
“How about it, Madani? You gonna pull your weapon on me again?” Frank joked and you smacked his arm.
“Do I have to?” She answered, making you and Frank chuckle.
“Surprised you called her.” David said, nervously looking between you two and Dinah. You looked past him and offered Leo a small wave that she returned.
“You and the princess trust her.” Frank answered and you glared at his use of your nickname. “I guess I do, too.”
“Princess?” She looked at you with a pointed expression.
“Not like that.” You shook your head and began to step away “He says it in a jackass kinda way.”
“No, it’s a ‘she gets everything she wants’ kinda way.”
“Exactly. Jackass.” You laughed.
You went around the van and opened Leo’s door. She was looking at you until Frank had joined you, then her eyes dropped to her lap.
“You did good, kid.” You said honestly. “I’m glad you had it.”
“Had what?” Her brows furrowed and she met your eyes.
“The symbol.” You smiled slightly. “Told you I’d have your back when you got it, didn’t I?”
“You guys knew he was alive this whole time?”
“Sorry about that.” You nodded. “It wasn’t safe.”
“I don’t know what to call you.” She glanced at Frank before dropping her eyes again. “Seems stupid to call you Pete.”
“I’m Frank, Frank Castle.”
“He’s a lot scarier than Pete.”
“Nah, he’s the same.” You offered and nudged Frank with your elbow before leaning closer to Leo to loudly whisper. “Honestly, I like Frank better anyway.”
Next thing you knew, you all went back to Dinah’s office. David and Leo waited in the hall while Dinah interrogated Frank. You hung out in the room, behind the camera. Initially, Dinah was against it but it didn’t take much of your power to change her mind. You knew you didn’t need to be in there but you felt protective of Frank, as both his lawyer and his friend. You simply wanted to make sure Dinah’s questioning didn’t cross a line.
Next was David’s interview, which you also hung around for. He spoke about wanting his family back, about that being his priority.
She tried to convince you to sit in front of the camera but you adamantly denied, saying your word wouldn’t change anything. You were too biased. As Frank’s lawyer and partner, you couldn’t speak on his actions without a conflict of interest. As Billy’s ex, you couldn’t speak on his actions either. As David’s associate, same thing. As Dinah’s freelance partner, nothing you said would be credible. So you erased any confidence in the idea and moved forward, getting ready to meet with Billy for the exchange.
You and the guys arrived just before the meeting time. You had no idea what would happen but you had to trust Frank had a plan, more of a plan than just killing Billy. But just in case, you gave him a hug before you got into position. You ditched your covers again and slid your mask to your face before disappearing into the shadows.
You watched the red van pull up and you pulled your gun from your belt. You felt a rush of relief when Sarah and Zach were revealed unharmed. You gripped your gun tighter when you saw the lit flare and your eyes shot to Frank. He lifted the phone to his ear so you tapped the scar in your hair and listened in, hearing Billy’s voice in your head.
Your mask was already tracing the call so you quietly began to follow the path you were given. You moved carefully, testing out ladders and walkways before putting your full weight onto them. You used the sound of the incoming DHS vehicles to cover your rapid footsteps. You came up behind Billy and grabbed the back of his jacket, pressing the other Bite against his temple.
“Miss me?” You asked, your accent dripping off your words.
“I can still pull the trigger.” He warned before you pressed your device harder.
“On who?” You looked over the scene.
Frank was nowhere to be seen and David was being grabbed. Sarah and Zach were safe behind Dinah but the firefight continued. Moments later, David went down and the scream that left Sarah froze you to your bones. It reminded you of your own scream outside Midland, watching the building go down and take Matt with it.
Billy took advantage of your distraction and as your hand gripped the railing in front of you in an attempt to jump it, he grabbed your arm and yanked to the ground. He pinned an elbow against your back and had your face pressed against one of the poles. You quickly looked down his barrel and saw he was aiming at Dinah.
“Go ahead then.” You spat, struggling under the pressure he was applying. “Kill her, then me. Make your life easier.”
Instead he shot out the front tires of both DHS vehicles and you let out a sigh of relief. You heard the clatter beside you when Billy dropped his rifle and grabbed both of your arms to haul you up with him. You struggled in his grip until he let go of an arm in favor of putting his hand on the side of your head. You had just armed your Bite when he slammed your head down to the railing.
One, two, three times till you fell unconscious.
You woke up on the cold concrete floor. Your head pounded and as you lifted it, you felt the slick feeling of drying blood. Looking over, you were in a small puddle of it. It had soaked into the band of your mask, which miraculously was still in place. Your hands were pinned tightly behind your back with zipties, practically tucked under the Bites still locked around your wrists. Your ankles were secured the same way and as you rolled yourself to your back, you felt nothing at your hip or back.
Your gun and knives were gone.
You managed to sit yourself up and began to glance around, looking for something to break the plastic restraints with.
“…geek friend is no longer with us.” You heard Billy’s voice from across the room.
“You killed him?” Frank asked quietly.
You looked around, craning your neck to see where they were. Across the room, you could only see Billy’s back and the arm of someone in the chair. That had to be Frank. The men continued their back and forth, unaware that you were awake on the other side.
“Did you pull the trigger on my wife?” Frank asked angrily and you felt a surge through your own veins, anticipation for Billy’s answer.
“On my son?”
The ultimate betrayal, more than simply siding with Rawlins. Killing Maria and the kids.
“My baby girl?”
“No.” Billy finally said and you felt some sense of relief. “No, I wasn’t there. If I was, you’d be in the ground because I wouldn’t have missed. But I told them I’d have no part in it.”
Your relief was short lived as you rolled your eyes and scooted down so your fingertips could reach the floor. You began to sweep your hands along, looking for anything. A rock, a loose screw, some debris from the previous fight. As you searched you wondered why Billy would have a part in it now. If he could so easily tell Rawlins and Schoonover no before, why not do it again? Especially when it was just Rawlins.
They continued their conversation as your search came up empty. You realized there was no other option and you closed your eyes and tilted your head against the wall. You clenched your jaw as you wrapped a hand around one of your thumbs. You pulled on the joint, moderating your breathing through your nose until it finally popped. You swallowed the groan as you released the limp digit. You flexed your hand up and got your nails under the edge of the zip tie and began to shimmy it down, over your dislocated thumb. You were silently grateful for your seemingly permanent blood soaked gloves, just as Frank was yelling towards someone else.
Your head snapped up and you tried to see again, but you knew your position was too hidden for him to see. You shrugged it off as your hands were able to separate. You pulled them in front of you and stretched out the ache in your shoulders before you looked at your ankles while popping your thumb back into place with another muffled sound.
You tried to get a finger under but those were done tightly as well. You sighed slightly and looked again, just in case your fingers missed something but you couldn’t miss what was never there. You rested the heels of your hands on your forehead and felt the edge of your mask.
The mask.
You pushed it off your head and turned it over in your hands, looking at the already cracked lens. You didn’t have the means to break it quietly but there was enough chipped off the edge that it was sharp. You tried it on the zip tie around your hand first and with a good tug, you got it to break through. At that point you brought it down to your ankles and began to saw through until it finally popped apart.
You smiled to yourself before you fixed the mask back over your eyes and crept closer to the scene, though you had to ignore the ache in your arms from your escape. Rawlins had come and gone but there was someone typing away at the computer screens, trying to get through to stop the countdown. Your first instinct was to go and help Frank, untie him before drawing Billy away, but the persistent tapping on the keyboards beside you kept plucking the strings of your nerves.
You’d deal with her first.
You crept into the area with the computers and woke one of your Bites. It hummed gently around your wrist while you stayed low to the ground to ensure no one in the next room could see you. You took one steadying breath, calculating the time you’d have between first contact and one of the men coming into the room.
Less than a minute was your best guess.
You kicked out her chair and the wheels scraped aggressively across the floor. She hit the ground with a loud groan so you reached across and covered her mouth with your hand. You aimed the other Bite and fired on her quickly, a sharp yelp coming from her before she fell limp. Small convulsions raked through her body though her eyes were closed. You stayed in your kneeling position and peeked over at the screen, finding comfort in the countdown that was still ticking. Cursor blinking in the box asking for a password
“Who are you protecting, hmm?” Billy asked and you dared to stand fully, relieved to see just him and Frank in the room and neither were looking at you. “Maria? Livia?”
Your heart jumped at your name, triggering the set of explosions in your chest that you thought would betray you. You watched in quiet interest while Billy wiped some of the blood dripping from Frank’s mouth and nose.
“She’s probably the one person in this city you don’t need to protect.” He chuckled and you saw the faintest of pinks falling from his words. The thought of him loving you, it really made his firm stance against you so confusing, but for all you knew Billy was just as confused.
“Doing all this for Livs isn’t gonna change anything. They’re dead. They’re dead because of you. And I get it. It’s a heavy, heavy burden… Time to put it down.”
“Don’t die on me, Frank.” You said to yourself. “I need a little more time.”
You ignored the words Billy was saying while you went back to the desk, finding the cable you had used when you first connected your mask to find Leo. You tried to move things quietly, given your rummaging was the only sound in the place. After what felt like an eternity, you found it. You pulled your mask around your neck and connected it. You typed carefully, gently pressing the keys to work through the security. When it came to the ocular scan, you were able to use a zoomed image saved in your mask. You had just gotten in when you felt slapped with the despair, the submission, and it left a cold feeling across your skin. You collected whatever would be dispersed when the timer ended and slid them over to be copied to your mask before picking up your head.
“It’s gotta be you.” Frank said and your heart sank immediately. “It’s gotta be clean. Just don’t let him take me, Bill. Don’t let him hurt her.”
“Who?”
“The… The princess. You gotta promise me that.”
How could he be worried about you in a time like that?
“Frank…” You tried to speak but you had no voice. Just a strained whisper of your friend’s name.
No, not your friend.
Your family. Your brother.
You understood then, the reasons you expected Billy to be loyal to Frank were the exact reasons you were, and that’s why it twisted your stomach so tightly. You fought beside Frank by chance, same as Billy. You risked your life at Frank’s side, same as Billy. You stood beside Frank in a storm of blood and bullets, same as Billy. Parched him up, trusted him with your life even when everyone told you not to. But on the other side, you stayed at his side without doubt. Billy left.
“He’s not gonna touch her.” Billy said honestly. “I promise.”
You weren’t exactly sure if you found comfort in that or not. What you did know from that was you had leverage, and you’d need as much of that as you could get.
There was a subtle pinging from your mask so you held it up enough to see that the files were copied. You disconnected the device and fit it back to your face as Billy summoned two men - who you hadn’t noticed and miraculously didn’t notice you either - to bring Frank to the computers.
Billy got into the room first as you were finding a hiding spot. Under the back corner of the desk, behind the leg among the mess of cables underneath. They stepped over the woman’s body and you saw Billy’s steps falter. Your hand hovered at your hip but remembered your gun was gone. You sighed to yourself and rested your hand over your bent knee, forced to depend on your own strength and your Bites. He said nothing and a bit later, the men slammed Frank’s chair down. You watched him draw closer, blocking your hiding spot from view as he spoke. Rawlins had entered as well while Frank was typing.
Soon after, a small alert popped up in the corner of your mask. You carefully tapped your mask and it displayed the live camera feed from David’s systems on the roof above you. You realized quickly that Frank was potentially going to push Rawlins, that way if he died that day, at least it’d be on tape.
That crazy son of a bitch.
The screaming was next, sending a jolt of adrenaline through you. Billy had moved out of your way so you reacted quickly. You kicked out his knees so he fell to the ground and you climbed out of your hiding spot.
You moved to stand but Billy grabbed your ankle, causing you to stumble and give him enough time to get up. You spun quickly when his grip released, a small growl at the base of your throat as you faced him. He looked at you with slightly widened eyes before you moved at him. You threw sharp combos of punches, alternating hands and targets, switching your feet and ducking his attempts to hit you back. On one swing, he pushed your hand away but the movement was enough to flick out the knife at your wrist. You chuckled in disbelief, having completely forgotten about the discreet weapon, before yanking your arm back and slicing the tip of Billy’s shoulder.
You shoved your shoulder into his chest to knock him back before you hurried to kneel at Frank’s side. He looked at you in complete shock and you ignored the look while you wiggled the tip of the blade under the ziptie. Before you could break it, a heavy boot slammed your side. It knocked the air from your lungs as you fell to the ground. Looking back and clutching your side, Rawlins stood over you with blood dripping down his chest and neck. He was breathing heavily before he slammed his foot into the side of Frank’s head and your friend went limp.
He came closer to you and you saw Billy coming up behind him. You quickly decided you didn’t need or want that man to save you so you helped yourself. You waited until Rawlins was within your reach and you swiped your blade in a wide arc and sliced both of his legs. You then kicked out at the new wounds and the man fell into Billy. You ran after that, just far enough away that you could get into the rafters, though neither man had the audacity to chase you.
You waited a few minutes and just as you were going to sneak back in, your implant was pinging with a phone call. You denied it but it came again. With a silent groan, you climbed down and snuck out the back entrance you usually crept in through.
“What?” You said sharply.
“What did you do to my cameras?” David asked quickly on the other end.
“Your cameras?”
“I’m trying to access them but it says they can’t broadcast. You said you messed with them. What did you do?”
“What are you…” You began before you remembered. “Right, shit. When I first got here and I didn’t know or trust you, I blocked any and all broadcast. Only connected devices can get to the feed.”
“Well unblock it!”
“I can’t.”
“What do you mean you can’t?” Dinah asked, her voice further away than David’s.
“I don’t have that tech with me.” You said honestly. “I might be able to do it through my mask but there’s no guarantee… What do you need the cameras for anyway?”
“These men need to be arrested!” She urged. “We need to see what’s happening.”
“There are no arrests to be made here!” You argued. “Madani, I worked with you because I needed to know what you knew. But this talk of- of trials and arrests, you sound like Daredevil and look where that got him. It ends the way Frank decides it ends…. Жизнь за жизнь.” (A life for a life.)
“Can I undo it from here?” He asked instead.
“Maybe.” You shrugged, not caring to argue. “Can you read Russian?”
“What?”
“It’s a Russian program. If you can read it, the override key is Daredevil, Отчаянный. And the confirmation is Romanoff, Романофф.”
“Why would you do it in Russian?”
“It’s my first language, dude. Look, I gotta go.” You hung up quickly.
You took a deep breath of fresh air and looked back at the door.
You could leave. You didn’t have to stay, didn’t have to fight. You could go home, lick your wounds and take on Billy on your own if Frank didn’t finish it.
But what kind of friend would that make you? What kind of person would that make you?
You’ve gotta see it through, sweetheart.
You could hear Matt’s voice in your head.
You’ll be alright. Save Frank to save yourself.
You weren’t even worried about yourself.
So you went back inside. You snuck in quietly and stayed low, hiding in shadows and behind the clutter David left behind. You watched the scene unfold with a sick feeling in your stomach, enough to make you want to puke. But you swallowed it down, forced it to the bottom of the chasm in your chest.
Every punch Rawlins landed on Frank was paired with an echoing explosion. You were still there, in front of Midland as it went down. And the Matt in your head might’ve been right. To get yourself out of there, to save yourself, you had to save Frank.
“I made him a promise.” You recognized Billy’s voice as you got into the room, shimmying behind some pile of crates.
“I don’t care about your promise.” Rawlins spat and the anger was hot, even in your hiding spot. “Why don’t you make yourself useful and go find the girl?”
“The girl?” Billy nearly laughed. “You do realize that was Exodus, right? She wiped the Russian syndicate off the map by herself. She cleared Yakuza from the city. Took on Wilson Fisk. She don’t wanna be found, no one’s gonna find her.”
“Oh… I see.” Rawlins nodded and you clicked your mask to watch from the camera. “You’ve gone soft for her.” He mocked. “You think she cares about you, Russo? If she’s so dangerous, then you're only alive to serve her purpose. Once she’s done, she’ll put a bullet in you unless you get to her first.”
“She’s not gonna kill me.” Billy shrugged and your brow quirked at the confidence. “And I’m not gonna kill her. But I am gonna kill him.”
“He does not get to die easy!” Rawlins yelled.
“He’s taken too much from me.”
“Like what?” Billy challenged and in any other scenario, you would’ve thought it to be sort of hot.
You stopped paying attention after that, wondering how you were going to get the men out of the room. You considered going after their hacker again, but you’d already shocked the girl once. Doing it again might just kill her. You could head back into the rafters, call them and lure them away. Throw something down the hall and watch them panic, but that might only get one. You were calculating different options when Frank’s agonizing scream sounded and you nearly exposed yourself.
“This doesn’t serve me!” Billy yelled and you saw two sets of feet moving away. Looking at the small camera image at the corner of your vision, Billy had pulled Rawlins off.
Rawlins calling Billy a gutter rat seemed to strike a chord with you that you didn’t understand, nor did you try to. You stepped out carefully, gently guiding the blade out of its position hidden under your Bite, and crept behind Rawlins. Billy’s eyes darted over and saw you coming but instead of saying anything, he moved to be behind Frank and put his gun to his head.
You reacted quickly in turn, putting an arm around Rawlins’ neck and kicking out his knees to force him to the ground. You pulled back the arm around his throat and pressed the tip of the blade under the man’s chin.
“Nice to know you’ve got good things left to say, Bill” You said simply, your familiar accent rolling off your tongue with ease. “But if you hurt him, I will kill you.”
“Stand down, Lieutenant!” Rawlins shouted, a strained sound.
You heard a faint click, not one of the handgun Billy held but something else. Like plastic breaking. After a second, Billy stood and held his gun up in surrender.
“And you.” You said to Rawlins, pushing the tip enough to break skin. “Beating on a man who cannot fight back. That’s low, even for me. Is it because you’re afraid?”
“I’ll kill you.” He breathed. “After Castle, you’re dead.”
You looked up and saw Billy moving closer, a hand out to you in question. You clenched your jaw and yanked your blade, cutting a long line across the bottom of his chin before you threw him to his face. You reached down and took the gun from his holster, tucking it into yours instead.
“No, I don’t think I am.” You answered. “I took out Russians and Yakuza, remember?”
You let Billy grab both of your arms and put them behind your back. Rawlins had gotten to his feet and reached for something off the table, a blue rod in either hand. You tried to see it better but he shoved the object against your stomach, between the armored plates and you felt a needle pierce your skin.
You gasped in shock and Billy pulled you backwards as Rawlins turned to Frank and laughed. You sudden felt a tingling sensation across your body, as if all of your limbs had fallen asleep and were waking back up. You could feel your heart steadily picking up in your chest, a strange stutter in its rhythm. It made you dizzy, uneasy on your feet and falling into Billy. You watched him stick Frank with the other and he sat upright in his chair.
“Adrenaline…” You muttered, shaking your head to clear the symptoms. You could feel them fading, the heat under your skin burning through the excess hormone, but that didn’t make the physical effects any less.
“Frank…” You tried but got no reaction, not even when Rawlins leaned in with what looked like an ice pick in his hand.
“Frank!” You yelled, using every square inch of air in your lungs as Billy dragged you towards the computers.
You watched as Frank got his revenge, beating on Rawlins before shoving his thumbs into the man’s eye sockets. It was a grotesque scene but well warranted, all things considered.
You fought out of Billy’s hold and stumbled down the short stairs, making your way to Frank’s side. The two exchanged comments as you fell to your hands and knees beside your friend. You were reaching for the gauze at your belt when you heard the Homeland announcement. Your intent shifted to the borrowed gun and you lifted it as Billy aimed his gun at Frank.
You fired without hesitation and grazed his hand. You didn’t pay attention to where he went. Instead you dropped the gun and focused on Frank. David was quick to get to the ground beside you and Dinah stood a few feet away in quiet shock.
“Dammit, Dinah.” You said sharply. “Help me. Help him!” You began shouting. “He did all of this for your goddamn justice and all you can do is stand there!”
“Put your hands up!” An agent yelled but you ignored him, staring daggers at Dinah while you were holding Frank’s hand. You knew you were projecting your desperation, the need for him to survive, but you didn’t know how it came across to him.
“Hands up, now!” He yelled again and you felt the rifle at the base of your skull.
“Jesus Christ, Madani, do something!” David shouted.
“Если нет, ваши люди снова умрут.” You warned lowly. (If not, your men will die, again.)

WIP Wednesday — EDLtL 03
Finally, some levity (and part of the justification for the T rating, somewhat frank discussion of sex but nothing explicit). Below the cut.
"Did you know there's an ideal position for conception?" Finger was saying. In her hands, an old medical textbook from the Western territories. It had been her mother's before.
Ever since the reports on Titan Biology Society came out. An old claim concerning the viability—or indeed detriment—of inheritance. An Eldian could not pass along his or her powers through conception. With a thirteen year term and guarantee of medical complications, Warriors and family life didn't mix.
Of all the Warriors it was Pieck who remained inquisitive about the nature of serum on the human body, but no one gave her the time of day. Leonhardt said little, which was why Pieck talked to her more than anyone. If not for Galliard, she would have no one but Karina Braun, who had done her best to be understanding.
"'...the female should lie upon her back, with her legs straight down-or if the legs are raised they should be slightly elevated. All other positions are unnatural and unhealthy.' He writes here that the details are too disgusting, but he goes on about it for the rest of the page. If he were embarrassed, you'd think he wouldn't even dwell upon it."
"Hm."
"I haven't yet experienced any pain or infection as described." Pieck hummed to herself. "I'm curious how many women he's interviewed. Or men."
Annie took a sip of coffee. Even after the war Marley was running low on luxury goods. The last time she'd had sugar, she was in devil country. "What else does it say?"
"Standing position. And from behind. And the woman pulling her knees to her chest. Well, there's nothing wrong with those, but that's all he lists. If he wanted to warn his readers, you would think he'd be more specific on what not to do—but I suppose there's always someone who will do the opposite of what they're told."
"It's meant for people starting a family," said Leonhardt.
"Yes," said Pieck, setting the book down, "There's not much written about the Titan program and its effects on human reproduction. But there are records of men who've been injected going on to have families going all the way back to the 1880s. Of course, they didn't pass down their inheritance to their children, and most were already adults by the time they volunteered."
Leonhardt glanced at her as if to say, why would you expect me to know about this? She took a deliberate sip of coffee that scalded. "Why don't you ask Galliard?"
A small, enigmatic smile crossed Pieck's face. "My mother had no trouble with me and I doubt I would, once I'm healthier. I just wish I could convince him not to worry."
Leonhardt turned away towards the window. What was she supposed to say? She was never any good at comforting people. Not that Pieck seemed to expect anything from her.
Pieck got up. Shuffling over to where she stood. "Well," she said, in that same measured tone that always precluded something serious, "I suppose you'll be seeing that instructor again."
Leonhardt tensed.
"Why should it matter?"
"You're less surly than usual."
"You're imagining it."
Pieck had the nerve to look taken aback. But not upset, which was more irritating than anything else. Leonhardt scoffed. She moved towards the doorway.
