I have a request that I would like to see your own spin on :) :

Sokovian!Queen!Wanda x Sokovian!Armygeneral!reader who are secretly in a relationship.

Wanda uses the line “I am your Queen and you will do as I say.” quite often on reader.

Drink every time I’ve written queen and you’ll be black out drunk in two minutes😰. This was so much fun to write. It gave me Game of Thrones vibes so I sort of went with it, hope you like it!

Authors note - I’m thinking of doing a smutty part 2 to this. Let me know if I should!

Royal Complications

The cold air nipped at your skin as you made your way through the castle grounds. You wrapped your furs around you as tightly as possible to savour as much warmth as you could. You would never get used to the cold.

You had been asked by your Queen, Wanda Maximoff 1st, to survey the grounds, much to your vexation. She had other people to do this job so why she asked you, an army general to do such a menial task was something you couldn’t quite get your head around. But you did it for her nonetheless.

Finishing your task and finding nothing out of the ordinary, much as you expected, you started to make your way back into the castle. The warmth coming from the fire from the torches very much welcome.

You wanted to find the Queen and update her on what you had found, or lack there of, but locating her was more difficult than you had originally anticipated.

First you went to the throne room as that was where you saw her last, but you were met with an empty hall. Her chambers were your next destination but she was also absent from there. For someone that had a group of guards by her at all times, the queen was doing a good job at staying hidden.

Running out of ideas of where she could be, you decided you would head to your chambers to rid yourself of your furs before continuing your search. However when you turned a corner, you bumped into someone that may know of the Queens whereabouts.

“Good afternoon My Lord Prince Pietro, sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you could help me with something” you bowed your head before you spoke.

“Ah yes, General y/n just the person I was looking for, my sister has provided me with a new sword and has suggested you and I have a spar to break it in, what do you say? I won’t take no for an answer”

Well that stopped your search for the Queen in your tracks.

“Of course sir, I’ll be happy to help” with that you followed the prince outside, back into the cold.

Pietro Maximoff was known as a master swordsman. Quick on his feet, he was one of the only people who could give you a run for your money. He claims he trained day and night when he was a boy, but you think he was just saying that to prevent bruising your ego.

“And another round goes to me” hollered the prince.

“Very good my lord, maybe you should take my place as General” you replied, still trying to catch your breath.

“I couldn’t possibly take your position y/n, not knowing how fond my sister is of you. Now what was it you wanted me to help you with? A favour for a favour if you will”.

“I was just curious to know if you could help me locate the Queen. She gave me a task earlier today and I would like to update her on my findings”

“The last I heard she was in the council chambers. An issue came up about the housing of the guests for the tourney tomorrow, and it required her attention”

“Thank you for your insight My Lord. If you would please excuse me”, you wondered out of the courtyard hoping you’ll catch the queen before she scurried off again.

As you approached the door to the council chamber, you could hear shouting coming from within, your instincts coming into play and you pushed through the door without so much as a knock. All eyes in the room looking towards you. Other than the Queen who kept facing out towards the Sokovian mountains.

“The guests do not get to pick and choose where they reside in my castle” The Queen shouted at her court. “I give them a room and if they don’t like it they don’t stay here, simple as that”.

“Your Grace, is everything alright, I heard a commotion”

“Everything is fine General, I have another job for you if you would be so kind” she asked, still not turning around.

“Anything my Queen, ask away”

“I would like you to lead an inventory check on all the weapons we have within the castle walls, gather your men and head out to the armoury”.

“Your Grace, with all due respect, there are men of much lower ranks than me that can, and are available for this sort of task-“

“I am your Queen and you will do as I say, don’t make me ask you again” she spat back, making sure you knew she was not to be argued with.

“Certainly your grace” you bowed your head and left.

You were beginning to think Wanda had it out for you. Three jobs in the cold, three times she’s sent you to do something that could’ve been done by somebody else. What was she playing at?

You thought maybe it was the stress of the tourney, but that happens every year and nothing ever seemed amiss before.

And what was she talking about when she said the guests do not get to pick and choose their room? Had there been a mix up with the allocations? You made a mental note to ask her later.

Inventory checked and everything was up to scratch, nothing was missing, all your men had their weapons and their rooms were also checked for good measure.

Now that had been sorted, you decided it was time to get to the bottom of the queens annoyance.

Thinking she would no longer be in the council chamber, you headed towards her personal chamber. You got there and luckily there were no guards waiting outside her door, which gave you the chance to sneak in unnoticed.

Shutting the door quietly behind you, you walked around to the solar in search of any clues to what was going on.

Each drawer was checked. Nothing. Not a scrap of anything useful was left out on the table. No step further to any answers. You though perhaps she had hidden something in the bedroom for safe keeping, knowing less people would be in there. But still nothing. Looks as if though your search was all for naught, and then you heard the creak of the door opening.

Knowing you’d be caught, there was no point in trying to hide. So you just sat on the bed and waited for Wanda to notice you.

You heard her heels clicking on the stone floor, getting closer with every step. Your heart beating with anticipation.

“OH MY- you scared the living daylights out of me y/n, what are you doing in here?” The queen shrieked out, putting her hand to her chest.

“Why are you avoiding me Wanda?” You said back, seriousness in your tone.

“I hope no one saw you come in here y/n”

“We’ve been doing this long enough to know what I’m doing my love” you stepped closer to her. “And you didn’t answer my question, why are you avoiding me?”

She cleared her throat not looking your gaze. “I’m not avoiding you, there were jobs that needed doing and I wanted you to complete them”

“But why me? I’m your Army General, not a steward”

“Because I’m the queen and-“

“I will do as you say, yes I know, as you have already informed me” you interrupted, that got her looking at you.

All you were met with was silence and a sullen expression in her face.

You stepped forward and placed your hands on her waist. Cinched by the corset she wore underneath her dress. She looked up at you with tears in her eyes and you couldn’t help but frown.

“Whatever is the matter my love, have I done something you upset you? If so I will do whatever it takes to right my wrongs”

“No it’s not you my darling, well it is but it’s nothing that you could of helped” she placed her hand on your shoulders.

Not exactly the answer you were looking for, so you probed deeper, “care to elaborate? Does this have something to do with the tourney tomorrow?”

“People are trying to steal you from me” she stated abruptly. She left your embrace to walk towards the window.

“What do you mean, trying to steal me? I am not an item to be shared around” you replied in confusion.

“It’s the ladies that have arrived for the tourney. They have seen you around the castle and have taken a liking to you. It’s disgusting to see the way they look at you when you walk past them”

“What has this got to do with all the menial jobs you’ve had me complete my darling, is there something else going on?”

She turned around to face you now, tears on her cheeks. “I have had many a request for the noble ladies to have their rooms moved closer to yours whilst there are staying for the tourney. So I thought I’d I get you out of the castle doing jobs, so they were less likely to see you and try and take what is mine”.

All you could do was chuckle as you strode towards her.

“Wanda. Darling. I don’t see anyone but you. I didn’t even notice any of that trivial nonsense happening. I don’t care about anyone else but you my love so don’t fret about this” you hoped the words you provided her with soothed her.

“I wish I could tell people about us, then they would leave you alone and everyone will know to back off”

Something unholy cross your mind in that very moment.

“I have a way in which we can let people know I am yours, and it will give us both some instant gratification. What do you say my Queen?”

All the sadness in her expression now gone as she walked towards you with a glint in her eyes. “Well what do you have in mind my love?”

“Strip and get on the bed and I’ll show you. No arguing. You’re my Queen and you will do as I say”

Buratai decorates 23 new army generals

The newly promoted generals in the Nigerian Army have been charged to be responsive in the discharge of their constitutional duties. The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, charged the senior officers on Tuesday at a decoration ceremony for the newly promoted Major Generals and Brigadier Generals with their new ranks. The decorated generals comprising one major general and 22 brigadier generals are among the recently promoted officers by the army authorities. About 34 brigadier generals and 47 colonels were recently promoted to the next rank of major general and brigadier general respectively. Burtai said that the new ranks had placed the officers in position to take higher responsibilities, adding that they must be responsive to their troops as well as the training needs of their units. The army chief also urged them to remain steadfast for the tasks ahead of them, advising them to see their promotion as call to more service. “You must remain responsive to your duties, responsive to your troops, responsive to the training needs of your units,” he said. The Chief of Defence Intelligence, AVM Mohammed Usman, told the newly promoted generals to see their new ranks as gift from God. Usman urged them to continue to uphold the constitution in the discharge of their duties, adding that new ranks come with additional responsibilities. “I want you to know that God gives promotion and it comes with additional responsibilities. To whom much is given; much is expected,” he said. Also, the Army Chief of Policy and Plans, Lt.-Gen. Lamidi Adeosun, enjoined the new generals to be prepared to face more tasking challenges. “You are now a problem solver not just identifying problems and making suggestions but you must be ready to solve problems. As generals you must be dedicated to service,” he said.
