Something I find interesting is that Gojo never said "Nah, I'd win" in the original Japanese. I'm only learning Japanese, I'm not fluent, so take what I'm going to say with a grain of salt. Please feel free to correct me if I make even a tiny mistake

A more literal translation would just be "to win" (with almost a valley girl vibe) but that's not really how Japanese works.

It's a SOV (subject object verb) language but a lot of the time the subject is omitted or implied. For example, 「朝ごはんを食べる」 or "breakfast (subject particle) eat" can be translated to "I'm eating breakfast" since it can be implied that the speaker is the subject.

So who is the subject when Gojo said "win"? He's the one who was asked the question so the easiest assumption is that Gojo is the subject and is therefore saying "I'd win." But this isn't explicitly said so I think as an audience we can be free to assume otherwise.

I think the next best interpretation is that he meant "we'll win." The 'we' in this case referring to the next generation of sorcerers.

Quick question for the people in the OSC, for some context: I’m currently making an object show webcomic named, Gears of Robloxia, which is a non competition based comic where the main characters led by a subspace tripmine known as Subby seek to uncover what’s been going on recently regarding Robloxia and the Banlands. There’s more to it like involving myths and hackers, but that’s for later in the story, for now I’ve been wondering Should I post it on Comicfury? Mainly asking because Webtoon and Tapas are more scroll formatted, and idk how to make a website atm [dw though, if I ever figure out how to make a website, I’ll make sure to announce it here + the official discord server] So, I’m thinking of using Comicfury for the comic, idk though, what do you guys think?

it's so hard to criticize things now because /I/ am examining the character as a concept, what purpose do they serve the narrative, and do they fit in their genre and everyone else is examining them like they're a real person with real morals who should be pitied for having trauma (like literally every other character doesn't also have trauma)

My favourite part of Dislyte is the one person I saw question why there are so many furries in the game.
