i watched the gameplay of the second game when it first came out back in 2020 and being really honest, back then i didn’t even have time to process what happened, i just saw he was murdered but like, it happened so fast i didn’t have time to process it. Last year I bought my first PlayStation and played the game… you have no idea how much i sobbed, like i’m sobbing while writing this too HAHAH, it hurt so fucking much, i had to stop playing for like 2 or 3 days, it (is) was too much💔

i hate to think he died alone, miserable, when you’re back at his house and see his frames, specially the one where he was sitting alone at the table, that one totally broke my heart😭

BUT EVEN SO, you should play the game, trust me, it is an amazing experience, i loved the second game so much <3 although it’s super long but it’s totally worth it, the story is so good🥹 i personally love it, even after joel died:( trust me, it’s really good, it’s very complex, but you should give it a try<3

hi how come you quit your joy of life save?

I quit Joy of Life mostly because I did a massive CC cleanout and accidentally deleted a ton of stuff I used for that save 😭 BUT also… (drops lore) my founder, Myla, died immediately after giving birth to my heir, Hana. So gen one never really got a chance to happen, and I just kept playing because I was attached to the mess. I still have most of their lore memorised, and honestly… I miss them so bad I might remake the whole thing. Anways, unnecessary lore for sims ya'll will probably never see, under the cut.

So Myla moved into this old, run-down farmhouse with dreams of being a baker. She was the absolute sweetest sim, I loved her so much. Unfortunately, I have no screenshots from before she died because I messed up my keybinds like an idiot. Anyway, she went on this blind date with Jinwoo, a guy in town on a business trip. also he was already engaged, but he didn’t love the girl—he’d just settled because his parents approved of her. (these are all i have of her...)

Naturally, Myla ends up pregnant (wow so shock!!), and she just vibes through the first trimester alone while being so fucking poor. She reaches out to Jinwoo in her second trimester, and of course he doesn’t believe her and asks for a paternity test (it is his baby). She tells him she doesn’t expect him to be involved, though she does ask for financial help. But he decides he wants to be present.

Over the course of the second trimester, they get close (they fall in love). Jinwoo says he’s going to leave his fiancée and be with Myla. That lasts all of two seconds because his parents are like “absolutely not,” threaten to cut him off from the family business (he's the heir, I went very Kdarma vibes with jol LMAO), and he folds. Myla breaks up with him because she doesn’t want him to have to choose between her and his entire life.

He gets re-engaged to the other girl right as Myla enters her third trimester. Then, right after giving birth to their daughter Hana, Myla dies of a postpartum hemorrhage. It was awful. Jinwoo is left grieving the woman he never really got to love and trying to raise a newborn alone. He moves back home and raises Hana with his fiancée.

Then when Hana’s a toddler, Jinwoo realizes at his wedding that he can’t go through with it. He’s still in love with Myla. So he leaves his fiancée at the altar and moves back into Myla’s old house. Of course, his ex-fiancée shows up later pregnant, and Jinwoo, being the responsible (but messy) family man he is, steps up for that child—Seoyeon.

They start bonding again, and Jinwoo realizes she’s not as horrible as he remembered. They get back together. She knows she’ll never be his great love like Myla was, but she wants a family. Then they instantly get pregnant again with triplets. (First time that’s ever happened in my game.)

They take a family trip to Sulani, where Hana meets her best friend Hari. Jinwoo and his fiancée get engaged again. And while I was off watching Hana and Hari being cute, Jinwoo autonomously cheats with a bartender. Then gets HIV. Then gives it to his pregnant fiancée. THEN BLAMES HER. (I love my chotic game)

She finds out he cheated but forgives him. They have the triplets (Minho, Hyun, and Jisoo), life is stressful, and Hana becomes a teen. She realizes she has a crush on Hari, and Hari helps her start a cooking YouTube channel. But Hana ends up kissing a boy (autonomously again, thanks Sims), and she and Hari have a falling out because Hari also liked her.

And that’s about where I stopped playing. It was drama. But yeah… I still think about them all the time.

I have anticipated this question the moment I saw how popular the game became/lh. Yes, I have played Mouthwashing because I had been incredibly excited for the full release <- I played the demo earlier this year and was distressed in one of my posts (thankfully now aged like milk) because I’m glad to see that the characters were really fleshed out at the end of the day and made me mald from one tragedy tumbling into another. I sure love pain and suffering in my video games. It has the same effect as leaving a gaping hole in your soul when you finish reading a good book, so you can tell it was five stars.

“Jimmy should get ejected like an Amogus figure and Anya deserves everything good in the world” remains as one of the only consistent takeaways I have of the game.

I find myself on Twitter during one of my breaks from training and I see me—quite literally—at the center of a discussion between viewers of DA: "Did Yuuna really deserve her spot on Dream Academy?" ... According to the post, "Yuuna doesn't have enough experience in the [music] industry to participate in a show, a survival show out of everything too ... She should just stay an actress or a model or whatever instead of "joining" Dream Academy because it'll just be embarrassing when the judges stop accepting her briberies and she's one of the first-" The thread was lengthy but why I destroy my peace for people—twitter fans especially? I couldn't bring myself to care enough anyways.

This rumor was honestly so fun to watch . It all started when Giselle shared a photo on her Instagram wearing a white lace tank top (like the one in the photo) and a backwards cap. It was already hinted that Giselle and I had been friends since their debut era, so I didn't think much when I posted a selfie of myself wearing the same clothing pieces. Oh, how I was so wrong.. According to Soompi and Netizens , "Giselle had been in 'girlfriend' mode since Yuuna was revealed to be a contestant on Dream Academy, even going as far as commenting on posts she would personally share on the survival shows account." Honestly, we both thought it was stupid, since we were just really close friends. Then again, that photo definitely lead to a chain of events : random photos with the other's shadow peeking in the background , subtle mentions of each other during work hours, and ...questionable moments between the two of us were discovered and theories were spreading quickly. I'm pretty sure Netizens are currently sitting here practicing their shocked reactions while waiting for Dispatch to finally confirm the rumors TT.

⌞♥⌝ I don't really like to give my characters any disorders I personally don't have, as I never want to misrepresent them, spread (harmful) misinformation, or perpetuate any negative stereotypes.

For example: Elanor has ADHD, Ren has dyslexia, Moth has SAD (generalised Social Anxiety Disorder), And Kiara has OPCD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder). I'm not very vocal about it because I want my characters to just... exist without having to link every little thing to their disorders. I merely want people who can relate to look at my characters and go, "Yeah... No wonder I kin you 🫵" lmao /silly

In Taylor's case, he's supposed to come across as an incredibly fucked up individual in a completely fictional sense, so I wouldn't want to demonise or bastardise a disorder — nor use it as a scapegoat for his actions and poor decisions. At the end of the day, Taylor truly is just a sleazy, no-morals kind of guy who just wants his wife to prioritise him and only him.

Only LoVe Can Save Us Now - another bad sanses fic. no au with this one, more just using it to flesh out my interpretation of the castle and characters that live in it. obvious focus on the crew with some ocs thrown in. overarching conflict and an mc with a very specific soul trait i don't see in fics too often. 💛👀
