honestly i love that for you. and for me.

and i can totally see them having dated before and then just broke up amicably. zoro wouldnt think anything of it and then some partners after get weirded out that they are still close which is a good red flag to check for

In the show we see her read The Stranger by Albert Camus, she’s come undone by Wally Lamb, Papa Hemingway by A. E. Hotchner, big fish by Daniel Wallace, The dead fathers club by Matt Haig and Saint Maybe by Anne Taylor so I think she’d definitely be into the classics like Woolf, Dostoevsky, Kafka, Tolstoy, Chekhov etc. She’s also seen reading Nana by Ai Yazawa so I think she’d read a lot of shoujo mangas

NANA MANGA HUGE SPOILERS BUT the fact nana runs away kinda slays now that im thinking about it…

as in, she was so heartbroken by her lover’s death that she couldn’t bare the thought of losing anyone else, so she isolates herself, both to grieve and to form this protective barrier between her and the loss of those closest to her… god just imagine if hachi died 😭 (giving birth for example ?) nana would lose her absolute SHIT

I also think just knowing that hachi was going to form a family was in some ways hard for nana. she can’t protect hachi from getting heartbroken like she wishes she could and they can’t live together anymore. and now ren is dead. nana has no safe port to go back home to (literally). and now yasu is dating and she can’t crawl back into his arms whenever she wants (debatable. I mean she still could, but she’s too proud for that in some ways)

nana wants to have them all to herself. the moment someone else steps in she feels like she was robbed of her person (which is heartbreaking) (nana they wont LEAVE even if you don’t feel like you’ve got them chained to you) (literally chained ren to his grave🙏) (i don’t mean that as a burden)

then ren dies and she gets a taste of loss. she runs away like a hurt cat, spends time alone and grieves. even if and when she manages to overcome that and be ok with the possibility of future losses, she might then feel ashamed to go back because of her decision to leave in the first place, like ren being ashamed to face blast after leaving them for trapnest.

she lets her hair grow, dyes it, no more punk bracelets or chokers. her and ren don’t look the same anymore.

Sengo, is there anything you enjoy doing on days where you have no sorties or chores? Please don't say stripping,,,,

"I like spending time with Hachisuka going through fashion magazines. I find them fascinating... And Hachisuka's company is nice, he is so used to my appearance that I could be in any state of dress and he wouldn't care. Maybe I've influenced him a bit too much? But it really is a nice pastime. Other things I enjoy are nice long baths. I let others practice hairstyles on me, but that's not as much of a hobby as it is just something I lend my time to for the sake of others. And of course I love to spend time with Tonbokiri and the other two great spears. They've made me an honorary fourth member by now.
