moons stuck in a time loop is an amazing piece of art. i am desperate to direct it as a play and i wanted to ask theoretically how would you feel about that
oh my god. yes please go for it! i would appreciate a link back to my original post, maybe? or like some kind of…program mention? but it’s not like i didn’t create this by bouncing off someone else’s creation (the “moon’s haunted” og meme is v close to my heart) so by all means PLEASE keep the game of creative-telephone going.
if you do honestly stand up a theatrical adaptation and you’re somewhere on, like, the upper eastern seaboard of the USA….maybe let me know where/when. or film it!

top 5 artworks/paintings!
damn fuck this is a good one. let's start with old gallery/museum art and unfortunately this is actually not in a particular order i'm just scrambling for the ones i love by artists i love. and it's all incomplete anyway. then i'll list 5 online artists i love
**the following may contain gore and body horror yeah even the classic stuff
Witches' Flight by Francisco Goya

2. Saint George and the Dragon by Peter Paul Rubens

3. The Skat Players by Otto Dix (one of my favorite artists of all time)

4. Three Studies for a Crucifixion by Francis Bacon

5. Murder in the House by Jakub Schikaneder

honorable mentions: vincent van gogh, hans bellmer (EXTREMELY NSFW BODY HORROR WARNING, i couldn't include him on the above list for obvious reasons)
online artists:
@alekivz, of whom i really want a tattoo from some day but alas i live all the way across the country. here's a mule deer i still think about and wish I had gotten a print of
2. @wipormont, always a delight to see on my dash and i can't choose just one but how about we sit with this one for a moment
3. dan hawk (bsky link), i really do love intricate weird cyber inkwork so i recommend you check his stuff out.
4. tobias kwan, and i can't find a post with this art but i have this on my wall from ECCC 20...19 i think.
5. literally so many furry artists but i've been following hibbary for almost 2 decades now and i even have a treasured adoptable from them

Dear Kelz'thalas, I'll admit I wasn't sure what to write. I just want you to know that I think about you often and I hope you are doing well. Someday I'll come back and maybe we can catch up on old dealings? I heard about the incident within the training grounds of the estate... I do hope you're alright. I'll be back soon. Yours, -K
The letter was held in front of her before it eventually left her field of view. With a careless sway of her arm, it slid across the counter while silence filled the room. As did the stillness of her frame while she held her head downward a moment. The memories of her childhood friend threatened to come back into view as she made the association to the letter's would-be author. Out of reflex her hand curled into a fist as it struck against the counter's surface. At first, there was a numbness, then came the gradual sting of pain.
There was much she wanted to say, but she was a creature of habit and repression. Anger would have just made a mess of her apartment and sadness would have driven her to drink. Neither avenues would give her the satisfaction she needed before bed and thus she turned from her seat and made her way upstairs.
Upon arriving in her bedroom, she made for the bed and allowed gravity to guide her down against it. It seemed the comfort of her lavish bed was enough to convince her to lower her guard. But her dreams did nothing to abstain her former thoughts.
...Kal'ren was back.
@kalren-daelish - thanks for the ask :3
@grumpyoldfker - Dad don't try to kill him again \o/

Opinions on cannibal Bad Boys? (Jimmy lures people in, Joel and Grian kill said people, Joel cooks the body and seasons it because he's not a monster, and they all eat on the floor and drink tea and chocolate milk and talk about their day) (The body is prepared in one piece and they tear pieces off like animals) (Jimmy's favorite is the heart and eyes, Grian sticks mostly to flesh and meat, Joel eats whatever) (Sometimes they argue about what sauce goes best with a corpse)
FUCKING BANGER!!!
Jimmy is the perfect lure. He looks nice and actually can hold conversation, and he's really good at acting pathetic and like he needs help. The other two sometimes give him shit for not helping with the actual kill, but then he reminds them that he's the one who gets them their food and what they do is just prepping it.
Joel chews bones in half and drinks the marrow. Grian laughs and Jimmy pretends to find it really gross. Whenever Grian or Jim are done with a bit, they throw it to Joel and he goes ham, stripping every bit of meat from the bone.
They probably eat in an abandoned garage or barn on one of their property's. The room is kept clean, and all their... ahem... supplies are well hidden and often split up amongst all three.
Fyi Joel's eating habits would probably mean he is the most likely to develop a prion disease of some sort. <3 of course HE would get one. I bet he really likes the taste of brain (and gets called a zombie).
#EHEHEHHEHE I LOVE THIS SO MUCH#tw cannibalism mention#jimmy solidarity#solidaritygaming#grian#joel smallishbeans#the bad boys#askanswers

Hey
Your "moon timeloop" story is amazing
Do you mind if people take inspiration from it for their own stories?
(Expansions on detail, fics with more character moments, Trial of Frank, Frank redemption arc, the events from the perspective of the employee's stolen lunch; that sort of thing)
Also, have a nice day. And a restful night, besides
thank you so much! PLEASE take inspiration for your own stories if you want to?!? i would be thrilled to my absolute core. please tag me because i obviously wanna see them if you write anything!! nothing would please me more. INCREDIBLY curious as to the lunch’s perspective - i imagine it as some kind of promethean existence.
i hope all your days and nights are just what you need and want them to be.

Know Me Better Tag Game!
Thank you for the tag @anamelessfool
Fave Color: Red. When I was only TheG1rl I met a very minor celebrity (who was very major to me as he was on tv doing kids shows) and he wore red boots. I asked him about them and he told me a really cool backstory as to why he always wore red boots. That has been my favourite colour since.
Currently Reading: I’m a big reader and have chomped away at 67 books so far this year. I always have multiple books on the go. One fiction, one non fiction and a developmental audiobook.
Fiction - The Valley Of Tears. NonF - The Men Who Stare At Goats. Audio - Everything is Figureoutable.
Last Song: According to Spotify it was Mummy Dust. I have a Ghost playlist for while I’m working. Should have asked me first song of the day because I like to spin a record to start me off 😂
Last Movie: The Homesman. It was torturous and it was supposed to be.
Last Series: I started Stumptown today. Loved it.
Sweet, Savory or Salty: I come from a foodie family. I would usually say sweet but I’ve been off sugar since just before Christmas. So I’m going to say salty!
Craving: I’m actually feeling pretty content. But maybe a quiet break away in the middle of nowhere, yeah that would be nice. Quietness.
Tea or Coffee: Coffee. Always coffee. Even as a Brit who has tea running through their veins.
Currently Working on: I always have more WIPs than Secondo… plague mask piece, a goddess piece, Copia in the library, Copia playing a sport, Copia portrait… (No theme here… nope!) Plus lots of vague other half formed sketch ideas.
Tagging in @da-rulah @her-satanic-wiles and @angellayercake if they fancy it

4 12 and 15 for shoua AND vel 🫵
YIPPEEEE questions are here!
4. What’s a hobby they used to have that they miss?
Vel: It would honestly be biking. Finding a bike that suits his body type can be a hassle, but he now associates it with Laura and on top of that he's started smoking again--it's not a good combo. What will likely happen is that he'll take up serious (but basic) hiking in the future, but after college and after the memories he had of Laura he doesn't bike as much as he used to and it hangs unused in his garage.
Shoua: It's genuinely hard to tell, because once she moved to Tucson she had more freedom to explore hobbies she never had before or explore ones she did have more freely and without judgment. I'd say she misses cafe-hopping with Laura, for lack of a better word. Getting smoothies with her and whatnot. It doesn't sound like a hobby I guess but going to places and tasting different things and having a judging session with her best friend, that's lost now I suppose.
12. What’s something that makes them laugh every single time? Be specific!
Vel: EASY guy to make laugh. I think there are plenty of things that would make him laugh every time; really bad effects in a movie that become a classic injoke with friends, really fucking dumb game-grumps levels of jokes like butthole sniffin adventure, I think Vic Michaelis's Very Important People would get him every single fucking time, or the insane chaos of Junior Year's debut fight, particularly "as they burst into flame they go 'Love Wins!' followed by the DM's blunt "they do not say that". very reminiscent of Vel's own TTRPGs with his DM friend Dom.
Shoua: DIFFICULT to make laugh. I think Skyrim's ragdoll physics would get a chuckle out of her every single time. Something so out-of-contrast silly that it's hard not to laugh at.
15. What’s the most obvious difference between their behavior at home, at work, at school, with friends, and when they’re alone?
Vel: At work: Combative but teasing with room for compassion if necessary but usually at victims/clients, leaving Lieu at the brunt of his snarkiness. With Friends: Loud and fun, casual at the very least, makes a good time of it and it's clear he's happy to be there. At home: As before, but a bit calmer, content with silence if need be, or just listening to music. Alone: Surprisingly somber at times and can be very quiet depending on what's going on. Vel is always thinking, and when alone those thoughts run deep.
Shoua: At Work: Serviceable Customer Service as a bartender - so she can be freely blunt but in a bartender way. Picks and chooses her battles in this manner; enjoys regulars that don't need conversation much. With Friends: Blunt and honest, works well off of listening first and commentating as the conversation goes along. Enjoys being a point of grounding for people. At Home: Finally....relaxed. Shoulders un-tensed. Characteristically sighs deeply after getting home no matter what she was doing. A bit of a personal haven and she retreats into it. Alone: Similar to Vel but because of the lack of contrast it feels less harsh; this is a state she can get into where she can be creative and allow herself to experiment/tap into what she wants to paint/sew.

How would you describe the importance of packs in each type of society? For example, I can see packs being useful in modern society for finding work as the name of your pack can hold a lot of importance/make your resume look good. However, in traditional society, pack are essential for survival in the same way as tribes.
Note - everything is based on the traditional pack, the closer to modern we get, the more we see divergence from that standard.
Traditional - Your pack is your tribe, your town, your community. Packs have geographical permanence in the same way irl people groups did. Important things to note - Packs can have branches that operate similarly to feudalism. There are many people of all dynamics, but there is one main pack leader with several different pack leaders underneath them. Leadership does not need to be based on bloodline, although that's also possible. This often happens when a big pack absorbs small packs into the system - people close to the main pack alpha will be chosen to go lead and establish these new pack off-shoots. Everyone is in a pack, and if you aren't in a pack you're pack-less which is no good. Your pack is your lifeline, and you probably won't leave your pack area ever unless you are married off to another one or hold one of the few pack jobs that requires travel and communication with other packs. Packs are extremely territorial, and you can't go to certain places if your pack isn't allied with that location's ruling pack.
Contemporary - Your pack is still your community but we start to lose that feudalism element. Not everyone describes themselves as being in a pack, but the idea of being pack-less has less weight. You no longer need to depend specifically on your pack for security, food, etc... In the same way that some Americans often refer to themselves in terms of their long heritage (such as Italian-Americans whose closest Italian ancestor was 5 generations ago), people may have a similar feeling to their hereditary pack. Not many people are starting new packs that operate similarly to traditional packs. New packs are more like found families or communities that often don't have a leader or pack organization. If you do have strong pack ties, that could come in handy when it comes to things like getting a job or meeting people. It's the same as being in a sorority or frat, people feel kinship there and alignment with others. You can travel pretty much anywhere except closed-pack lands (unless you have an in).
Modern - Nobody is using traditional pack language and it's seen as antiquated and old-fashioned/conservative to still be actively in one (traditional). It's common for people who live in extremely rural areas to still be somewhat attached to it but other than that most people wouldn't say they're pack-attached. There are very few closed-pack lands, and those places are pretty much 100% closed off to outsiders, It's not like in the contemporary au where you can come depending on your affiliation. These are truly closed communities. If you list your pack heritage on a resume or official document you are either a super old person, or it's assumed you have some elitist/ultra-conservate viewpoints. More people now use packs to describe their community or group of friends or found family, but this is more anecdotal because packs don't have names, they don't have location permanence, they don't have an internal economy, etc.. Unless you are from a royal bloodline the name of your ancestors means less than nothing.
Post-Modern - There isn't necessarily a post-modern view because a post-modern view acknowledges the simultaneous existence of multiple cultures, religions, and customs within a single world. There is no common way of things "universally" in this world, the norms with be derivative of the culture in which the story takes place. p
